Effective Risk Level Assessment Using Three-Dimensional Vector Visualization (3차원 벡터 시각화를 활용한 효과적인 위험 수준 평가)

  • Risk analysis is utilized in devising measures to manage information security risk to an acceptable level. In this risk management decision-making, the visualization of risk is important. However, the pre-existing risk visualization method is limited in visualizing risk factors three-dimensionally. In this paper, we propose an improved risk visualization method which can facilitate the identification of risk from the perspective of confidentiality, integrity, and availability respectively or synthetically. The proposed method is applied to an enterprise's risk analysis in order to verify how effective it is. We argue that through the proposed method risk levels can be expressed three-dimensionally, which can be used effectively for information security decision-making process for internal controls.

Visual Preference Factor Analysis for the form of bus stop shelter (버스정류장 쉘터 형태의 시각적 선호요인 분석)

  • This research investigated the preference factor which has an effect on the forms of bus stop shelter in order to grasp the visual preference factor, which is necessary for planning and designing of bus stop shelter centering around user, starting with the question of the research regarding that a shelter is preferred by what kind of factor when the environmental conditions are regular. This research examined the relation between visual preference and preference factor which has an effect on it with Multiple Regression Analysis after evaluating visual preference for shelter form by user as applying of scoring system of Interval Scale. The result of the factor analysis by visual evaluation for the form of bus stop shelter through the said research result will have an great effect on the design of bus stop shelter centering around its user. Therefore, this research result will give a knowledge which is necessary for the plan and the installation of bus stop shelter, and contributes to shelter design and bus stop promotion which can maximize the satisfaction of user. As well, concerning the management of bus stop facilities, it will give useful guidelines for planning strategically the shelter management centering around user. In particular, It is estimated that the preference factor analysis by visual evaluation of the mass transportation user in daily life will be the cardinal point for bus stop plan.

  • In recent years, various methods have been attempted to visually manage the construction site efficiently, and in particular, there has been a tendency to use a UAV or a drone in the air rather than a land on a construction site, Can be visually photographed and recorded or analyzed. In this study, the unmanned aerial photographs were taken at least three times and the USN sensors were simultaneously operated on the main structure at the time of shooting, The goal of this research was to make the image information and environmental information of the construction site available for efficient construction management by matching. As a result, not only professional engineers at construction sites but also administrative managers can visually confirm the detailed situation of the site at the time of the construction site and the completion status, and can help decision making in appropriate budget input and appropriate resource support The experts in each field discussed the safety management of the construction site, the prevention of disaster and various factors of change which can be changed by natural environment factors.

  • Business intelligence based on the data analysis come into the spotlight. Especially, information visualization of the analysis result is treated significantly. given the interest in big data technologies. Because corporate managers want to use the results of data analysis in the decision-making process and the visualization technology will give help with cognitive function and operation function. In this paper, the status of information visualization is reviewed and analyzed from the viewpoint of manufacturing service. Several implications are drawn and it is expected that they will help to developers and administrators of manufacturing sector who want to adopt information visualization applications.

  • We introduce VRSMS(VR-based sensor management system) which is the visualization system of micro-scale air quality monitoring system Airscope[3]. By adopting VR-based visualization method, casual users can get insight of air quality data intuitively. Users can also manipulate sensors in VR space to get specific data they needed. For adaptive visualization, we separated visualization and interaction methods from air quality data. By separation, we can get consistent way for data access so new visualization and interaction methods are easily attached. As one of the adaptive visualization method, we constructed large display system which consists of several small displays. This system can provide accessibility for air quality data to people one public space.

ICT기반 홈 헬스캐어 스마트 의자 개발

  • 본고에서는 ICT 기반 건강 관리 및 증진용 홈 헬스캐어 스마트 의자 개발 내용에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 기존의 건강 증진을 위한 홈 헬스캐어용 좌온기나 족욕기 등과 같은 건강 증진 기기들은 실제 족욕이나 좌온을 하고 난 후 얼마나 효과가 있었는지에 대해 정량적이고 시각화된 결과 들을 보여 주지 못했다. 더 나아가 이를 기반으로 누적된 자료들을 통해 이 기기들을 사용하는 사용자들에게 자신의 건강을 관리해 주는 모듈이 전혀 개발이 되지 않은 실정이었다. 본 고에서는 이 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 헬스캐어용으로 개발된 좌온기와 족욕기 등에 ICT기술적용으로 생체신호를 분석하여 이를 통해 얼마나 건강이 증진되었는지 그리고 더 나아가 건강 관리에 필요한 자료를 정량적으로 그리고 시각적으로 나타내어 주는 시스템을 개발한 결과에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 또한 ICT 기술을 적용하여 자신의 체질에 가장 적합한 온도 제공 설정등과 같은 기술도 개발하여 스마트 의자에 앉아 자신의 건강 상태를 모니터링하고 자신에게 가장 적합하고 효율적인 건강 증진 기기의 환경을 설정할 수 있는 기술 개발에 대해서도 다루고자 한다.

  • 전압의 시간적 변동으로 인하여 시각적 혹은 심리적으로 인식되는 불편함을 나타내는 플리커는 인간의 생체심리학적 인지능력과 관련이 있으며, 인간의 눈은 0.3%에서 0.4%의 매우 작은 전압변동에 대하여 5Hz에서 20Hz의 변조 주파수에서 민감하게 반응하며, IEC는 실증시험을 통해 8.8Hz의 전압변동에서 가장 민감하게 인식하는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 플리커는 시각적 불쾌감과 함께 지속적인 경우 회전기와 같은 기기들에 악영향을 주며, 전자장비, 전구, CRT 장비, UPS 동기상실, 제어설비 및 보호설비의 오동작 발생으로 효과적으로 관리가 필요하다. 현재 국내 전기품질 관리기준은 IEC 국제규격을 바탕으로 제 개정 작업이 진행되고 있어 본 논문에서는 IEC 61000-3-7 국제규격을 국내 적용을 위해 필요한 국내 전력계통의 플리커 전달계수를 제시하였다.

  • 이전 연구에서 우리는 목적지까지 안전하게 보행할 수 있도록 하는 시각장애인용 보행안내 시스템을 개발하였다. 보행안내 시스템은 실내외 POI(Point of Interest)와 특정 위치마다 표식을 설치하고 보행 경로 탐색 알고리즘을 개발하여 사용자의 보행 위치를 추정할 수 있다. 실제 테스트베드에서는 시각장애인을 대상으로 실험을 수행하므로 실험 대상자가 위험 상황에 노출될 수 있기 때문에 모니터링이 필요하고 대용량의 실내외 지도 데이터를 저장하고 관리하는 것도 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 실험 대상자를 원격으로 모니터링 하고 대용량의 지도 데이터를 효과적으로 처리하는 제어 관리용 애플리케이션을 소개한다.

  • Conventionally, scientific data visualization is thought of as one of activities performed by scientists during the scientific data analysis. However, recently, there exits a set of research papers which count scientific data visualization as a independent research area. They show the research subjects for studying the scientific data visualization technology and methods. In case, a scientist or group of scientists can not solve their own visualization problem due to the unskillfulness and inexperience on using visualization tool. Therefore, it needs to help them by the systematic way for solving the problem. In this study, we analyze and propose the national level scientific visualization support system for scientists. In particular, we first analyze the existing papers and find out the critical success factors. Then, by integrating the findings of the analysis, we propose the research areas which need to be focused, and the strategic direction and specific research topics for scientific data visualization support system in national level.

Visual design teacher competency evaluation model study (시각디자인 교사역량 평가 모델 연구)

  • In recent years, visual design has become an emerging industry that creates production value in various countries, and visual design teachers have become a key factor affecting the development of designers and even the trend of the design industry. Therefore, the requirements for the ability of visual design teachers have become particularly important. This study takes the visual communication teachers in colleges and universities as the research object. Focus on the composition of competencies that teachers have when performing their duties. First of all, through document sorting, it is based on the five aspects of knowledge ability, teaching ability, practical ability, management ability and professional ethics. A Likert scale questionnaire was developed on the evaluation of visual design teachers' competencies by interviewing 10 visual design industry experts and conducting two Delphi method interviews. This research refers to the relevant literatures such as curriculum research and teaching objective research of design major, and discusses the evaluation standards of visual design teachers' abilities in colleges and universities. Expert interviews have sorted out 12 criteria and 36 sub-criteria about visual design teachers' abilities, and verified their rationality through expert return visits. The establishment of this evaluation standard provides a certain theoretical basis for visual design teachers' ability evaluation and self-cognition.
