현재의 3차원 시각 정보 제시기는 Scene Graph 기반의 3차원 그래픽스 API에 기반을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시각 정보 제시에 더불어 다양한 감각을 제시하기 위한 통합 제시 능력을 가지는 시스템으로 시각화 시스템을 확장하였다. 이 확장된 시스템은 다양한 감각 정보를 제시하기 위한 추가적인 정보를 가지는 확장된 Scene Graph을 가지고 운영되며, 통합된 Script System으로 각 감각 제시 시스템들간의 동기화 및 통합 관리와 제시 시스템의 확장에 유리한 장점을 가진다.

The importance of data is increasing at a high rate as data is massively generated and taken into account in various policy supports and contents. However, because of their speed of growth, it is difficult to find the data that is needed. Both the methodological elements that summarize the data and the technical elements of the visualization that help to see at a glance are important. This paper summarizes data visualization methods to improve the currently used design - oriented infographics and propose data - centric infographics. In addition, we will present examples of data analysis and infographics production using Tableau Public. The Gwangju metropolitan city bus user data was used for infographics production, and the results show that the total number of passengers using the stopping point is similar to that of the general passengers, while it is different from the numbers of transit passengers and teen riding-and-transit passengers. Data-centric infographics visualization, unlike existing infographics that is pronounced only as a visual role, is expected to be used as a tool for scientific research as well as efficiently delivering data.

서비스디자인 분야의 확장에 따라 서비스디자인 대상이 광범위해지면서 상황에 따른 적절한 방법론 선정이 어려워지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수집된 다양한 데이터를 유형화하는 단계에서 데이터의 특성에 따라 서비스디자이너의 주관이 개입될 확률이 크다는 문제를 해결하기 위해 분석의 정확성을 높이기 위해 벤 다이어그램 활용을 제안하였다. 그 과정에서 기존에 많이 사용되고 있는 $2{\times}2$ 매트릭스 방법론과 벤 다이어그램을 비교하여 $2{\times}2$ 매트릭스의 한계를 지적하고, 보완된 형태의 벤 다이어그램을 3가지로 제안하고 검증하였다.

한의학은 우수한 진단 능력을 보유하고 있음에도 불구하고 임상의의 직관에 머물러 있었던데 비해 서양의학은 다양한 진단 기기 개발로 인해 시장 성숙도 및 선호도에서 발전을 거듭하는 결과를 가져왔다. 본 논문에서는 한방의 직관적 진단법을 시각화, 객관화하기 위해 4진 방법 중 안면 망진 기법을 기기로 구현하기 위한 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 우선적으로 찰색에 필요한 영역을 자동으로 분할하기 위한 방법을 개발하여 질병 진단에 필요한 진단 데이터를 시각화, 정량화, 계량화하기 위한 작업을 행하고자 한다. 또한 얼굴 안면의 색상 보정을 위해 화이트 밸런스 촬영으로 이미지를 분석하고 얼굴영역을 추출하며, 이목구비와 명당 영역을 추출하여 찰색에 필요한 영역을 분할해 내고자 한다. 끝으로 실험에 의해 제안한 방법의 유용성을 입증하고자 한다.

본 연구는 R&D 정보 시각화를 위한 네비게이션 선행연구이다. 지금까지 R&D서비스에서는 연구 기획 단계에서부터 사업화에 이르기까지 기존의 연구 성과에 대한 조사 분석을 포함해서 해당 연구 주제에 대하여 기술동향, 시장분석, R&D정책 등 다양한 정보를 종합적이고 전략적으로 활용할 수 있는 정보 서비스가 부족하거나 제한적이었다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 서비스 디자인 방법론에 입각하여 R&D정보서비스의 서비스 디자인 프로세스를 사용하여 R&D 담당자와 UX 디자이너가 참여하는 사용성 평가와 서비스 디자인 방법론 수행 후 사용자 니즈를 분석해 보았다. 국가R&D정보와 관련된 정보처리기술 및 정보자원에 대해서는 기존 KISTI에 가지고 있는 국가R&D정보와 NDSL를 연계하고 이를 활용하여 연구자의 R&D활동에 관련된 문제해결을 지원하는 서비스 체제를 구축하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 국가R&D정보 서비스 체제 구축을 위해 서비스 디자인 방법론과 사용자 분석을 통해 R&D정보 서비스의 개선 방향을 알아본다.

첨단과학의 발달과 정보화 시대는 전쟁수행 패러다임을 근본적으로 변화시키고 있다. 이러한 전장 환경의 변화와 더불어 군 내부에서도 정보기술의 급격한 변화를 적극적으로 수용하고 21세기 국방을 건설하기 위한 국방 정보화 목표를 앞당기기 위해 수많은 정보기술체계를 도입하고 적용하고 있다. 이러한 수많은 체계들의 유입 속에서 각 체계간의 상관관계를 규명하여 효과적으로 사용하는 것은 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 이러한 문제의 해결방법으로 최근에 대두되고 있는 방법론이 사회연결망 분석(SNA : Social Network Analysis)이다. 사회연결만 분석은 무수히 많은 정보의 홍수 속에서 그들의 관계를 파악하고, 임무수행에 필요한 중요 노드를 식별하여 불필요한 자원을 낭비 하지 않은 중요한 요소를 분석 할 수 있는 유용한 방법론으로 사회, 문화 전반에 걸쳐 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사회연결망분석을 통해 지휘통제체계와 연계된 노드간의 관계를 규명하고, 관계망속에 속한 정보의 획득 및 흐름을 파악하여 이를 시각화하고자 한다. 이를 통해 현재 운용중인 지휘통제체계 구조에 대해 이해하기 쉽고, 용이하게 파악 할 수 있으며, 이를 기반으로 지휘구조의 조직과 조직적인 행동과 현상을 도출하고, 향후 군 네트워크 파워를 측정 할 수 있다.

This study suggests a reasonable method for visualizing risk management level by risk weight linked with 4D model. This study defines risk management procedures as preparation, identification, analysis, response and management to manage potential risks in the construction project. The modules for computerizing in this system consist of planning, construction, application of WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and RBS (Risk Breakdown Structure), and risk analysis. The final results include a method for visualizing risk level by each element of the project by using 4D simulation technique. It can be used as a visualized risk management tool instead of current system using numerical data.

Geovisual analytics is the new research area that looks fur the way to enable a truly synergetic work of human and visualization tool in analyzing spatio-temporal data. The research challenge for geovisual analytics is developing new geovisualization tools and enhancing human capabilities to analyse, envision, and reason a lot of spatio-temporal changes. With this research area, geovisual analytics is expected to be a new methodology for developing spatial decision support tools. This research is to integrate T scatter plot with computational method to classify the several patterns of the regional fright generation in Korea. The result of this work shows the capabilities provided by geovisual analytics to support spatial decision making.

이 연구는 정보와 지식을 효과적으로 시각화하기 위해 만들어진 개념적 맵(Conceptual map)들의 종류와 그 특성과 차이점을 분석하고 활용 방안으로서 디지털 스토리텔링으로의 적용 가능성과 방법에 대한 연구이다. 사회현상에 존재하는 다양한 정보에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 검색하고 조직하기 위해 다이어그램, 그래프, 맵 등 정보시각화를 통한 여러 방법들이 사용되고 있다. 특히 이 중에서 맵을 이용한 시각화에 주목하는 이유는 수많은 정보와 지식을 기반으로 만들어진 개념적 지도가 정보와 지식을 표현해 줄 뿐만 아니라, 이들 사이의 관계를 조직해주는 데에도 효율적으로 사용되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 정보시각화는 대량의 정보 속에서 사용자들이 찾고자 하는 정보를 빠르고 용이하게 찾을 수 있도록 도와준다. 또한, 일련의 스토리 라인을 갖고 있는 책의 시각화의 경우 등장인물과 그들 주변에서 일어나는 사건들의 관계를 형상화할 수 있다. 이러한 과정을 통해 만들어진 개념적 맵에서는 개개인이 알고 있는 이야기와 그에 관한 정보를 다른 사람들과 의사소통하며 그 정보와 지식들이 확장될 수도 있어, 이는 지식시각화의 좋은 활용사례가 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 개념적 맵의 세 가지 종류인 개념맵(Concept map), 지식맵(Knowledge map), 토픽맵(Topic map)의 정의와 특성들을 살펴보고, 각각의 구성요소의 차이점을 비교하여 시각화 방법론을 제안하였다. 또한, 각 맵의 특성과 차이점을 이용해 루이스 캐롤(Lewis Carroll)의 <이상한 나라의 엘리스>의 이야기 요소들을 각각의 개념적 맵들로 구성해봄으로써, 그 효과를 확인해보았다. 스토리텔링을 개념적 맵을 이용하여 표현할 경우, 사용자들은 스토리텔링을 효과적으로 접근할 수 있으며, 이러한 분석은 개념적 맵을 제작할 때 가이드라인으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

As software industry progresses, the necessity of visual information have increased more than text-oriented information. So, automatic tools are required to satisfy a user's desire for visual design representation of various source information in the real-world. In this paper, we discuss the methodology and tools for parsing abstract information through semantic analysis and extracting visual information through visual mapping. Namely, as to abstract informations are represented as relational structure and then mapped into visual structure using regular rule, user can obtain visual information. We suggest VOLS(Visual Object Layout System) to transform a abstract information to visual information. It can improve user understandability and assist a maintenance for existing source code.
