An Implementation of an ENC Representation System which meets S-52 presentation specification and S-57 transfer standards (S-52 표현사양 및 S-57 교환표준을 만족하는 전자해도 표현 시스템 구현)

  • On the advent of digital era, ECDIS has emerged as a new navigation aid that should result in significant benefits to safe navigation. More than simply a graphics display, ECDIS is a new concept navigation system capable of providing integrated information of geographical and texual data. As an official vector data for ECDIS, ENC consists of spatial and feature data to describe objects in form of points, lines and areas. IHO published International Standards for ENC, such as S-52(Specification for Chart Content and Display Aspects of ECDIS) and S-57(IHO Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data). This paper deals with the implementation of an ENC representation system which meets S-52 presentation specification and S-57 transfer standards by analyzing S-57 data structures and converting them to an appropriate internal data structures and representing them onto screen adopting S-52 presentation specification.

  • As the number of fish keepers increases, fishbowl-related convenience products are on the rise. Existing products are not welcomed by consumers because of their lack of functions or high price. In this paper, we deal with a system that remotely controls sensors and motors of fish bowl based on Raspberry Pi and Arduino. In Android applications, you can use the following functions. firstly, feeding. Second, water changing. Third, it measures, visualizes temperature and pH values including alert function. Through the several experiments, it was verified that the system can be quickly accessed from the outside, and when it is appropriate to change water. This system allows the user to keep the fish more comfortable and safe.

Framing an Issue of Building a Nuclear Waste Site on Television News (핵폐기장 유치에 대한 텔레비전 뉴스 프레임 분석 -KBS, MBC의 전국 및 지역(전북지역) 뉴스를 중심으로-)

  • This study explored how television news constructed an issue of the building of a nuclear waste facility on Wido, an issue which displayed a social conflict in the latter half of the year 2003. To do this, this study conducted frame analysis on KBS and MBC main news including national and local ones, broadcasted from 11 July, 2003 to 10 December, 2003. It was found that television news tended to stress violent protests against site designation and social disorder rather than the causes of a conflict and its solutions. Therefore, news reporting excluded fundamental reasons of conflict such as the governmental decision-making process of site designation, geological suitability, safety issue and nuclear energy policy, emphasizing the confrontation and clash between pro and con groups of site designation. This indicates that television news defines an issue of the building of a nuclear waste facility as the local conflict between groups, the police and demonstrators, or neighbors who approve and protest the site designation, not as the national issue of nuclear policy.

  • The Test and Evaluation (T&E) system became more important due to its advancement and complexity of the weapon system. Time and cost saving T&E related studies are in progress mainly with advanced countries. By utilizing the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) technology recently, we may save time and money. Also, overcome security and safety limitations. There are many M&S based research activities in South Korea but it is way behind of the system that some countries already have developed. i.e.; United States. This area of study requires new way of developing strategies in the T&E system of Korea. This study is to design the Operational T&E system for weapon systems based on modeling of processes. And we modeled the processes of operational performance evaluation through utilizing resources and performance modules of weapon systems and combined it with the simulation engine for 3D visualization. Through this, we propose the Operational T&E system for weapon systems based on modeling of processes that represent operational performances visually.

  • Predicting occupants' behaviors from the start of the fire to egress and reducing the time required for such process are critical matters that can decide success and failure of safe egress. In this research, research literatures and theories and fire cases were compared and analyzed so as to prepare logical grounds that could predict the process of beginning egress. As a result of this research, there was a significant difference in the time elapsed until people start evacuating due to spatial positions and quarantine from the place from which the fire originated and their auditive and olfactory signs did not recognize the fire instantly and they showed a strong tendency to recognize the fire by visual sign, warning announcement for egress and notice by others. And the results also showed that only a very small minority of occupants evacuated as soon as they perceived the fire and that variation in the time elapsed until evacuation begun for occupants were wider as the size of building was bigger and that accommodations such as hotel had wider variation in the time elapsed regardless of the size of buildings.

창업가의 주관적 경력성공이 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 기업가정신의 조절효과를 중심으로

  • 본 연구에서는 창업가의 역량을 주관적 경력성공과 기업가정신으로 설정하여 창업기업의 성과와의 영향관계에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 특히, 최근 늘어나는 실업율과 정부의 창업지원 정책의 핵심대상군인 청년들을 대상으로 본 연구를 진행하였다. 일반적으로 청년창업이 어려운 이유 중 하나는 시장이나 사업에 대한 경험이 상대적으로 부족한 청년들이 실무적인 지원 및 실패에 대한 안전장치 없이 창업을 시작한다는데 있다. 하지만 창업교육을 통해 간접경험을 높이고 청년들이 가지고 있는 장점인 새로운 시각과 유연한 사고방식을 충분히 활용한다면, 실패에 대한 확률을 줄이고 혁신기업을 만들 수 있는 가능성은 더 높을 수 있다 하겠다. 최근 몇 년간 정부는 대학생을 포함한 청년층에게 창업 초기자금을 지원하여 청년창업의 활성화에 많은 노력을 해왔지만, 이러한 지원들은 대부분 창업을 시작하는 초기단계에 집중이 되어있다. 창업은 그 성공률이 3~4% 남짓으로 쉽지 않은 일이지만, 그래도 이러한 초기단계의 지원들은 청년들이 창업시장에 많은 참여를 할 수 있는 동인이 되고 있다. 또한, 청년들이 시장에서 자신의 아이디어를 실험하고 사업화하며 혁신을 이루어가는 창업의 과정은 훗날 그들에게 훌륭한 경험과 경력이 될 것이다. 경험을 통한 자신의 경력에 대한 주관적인 평가는 개인의 삶과 업무에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치게 되기 때문에, 청년들의 이러한 경험들은 우리사회에 지속으로 긍정적인 가능성을 만들어 줄 것이다. 본 연구는 창업가의 주관적 경력성공과 기업가정신이 창업기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인하기 위한 분석을 수행하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 창업기업들이 성장을 위해서 개인이 가지고 있는 경력과 경험에 대한 활용을 높여야 하는 근거를 도출하였다. 이러한 근거 도출을 위해 창업가의 경력에 대한 중요성과 업무능력과의 관계에서 영향을 주는 요인을 가설로 설정하였고 이에 대한 검증을 통하여 주관적 경력에 대한 중요성을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 주 목적은 첫째, 창업가의 주관적 경력성공과 기업가정신이 경영성과에 미치는 다양한 요인에 대하여 실증 분석하여 학문적 체계를 마련하고, 둘째, 창업가의 주관적 경력성공과 기업가정신이 경영성과에 미치는 요인을 통계적 방법을 통해 찾아내어 창업지원정책의 평가시스템 개발에 유용한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다.

Effect of Spinal Stabilization Exercise and Manual Therapy on Visual Analogue Scale and Oswestry Disability Index in Acute or Subacute Patients with Low Back Pain (척추안정화운동과 도수치료가 급성기 또는 아급성기 허리통증 환자의 통증지수와 오스웨스트리 장애지수에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of type of physical therapy (spinal stabilization exercise and manual therapy) on pain index and disability index in acute and subacute patients with low back pain (LBP). 23 patients with LBP participated and were randomly assigned. Manual therapy and spinal stabilization exercise was applied for 15-minute sessions occurred 3 sessions a week, for 4 weeks. All subjects received conservative therapy for 30-minute. Visual analogue scale (VAS) and Korean version of Oswestry disability index (ODI-K) were measured before and after treatment. There was significant difference in VAS and ODI-K between before and after both treatment (p<.05). There was significant difference in change rate of VAS between manual therapy and spinal sabilization exercise (p<.05), but not in change rate of ODI-K (p>.05). Thus, it is suggested that spinal stabilization exercise is helpful to reduce pain safely in acute and subacute patients with LBP.

Development of the Maintenance Process Based on Graphic Simulation for the Parts of the Equipment at the outside of the MSM′s Workspace in a Hot Cell (그래픽 전산모사를 이용한 핫셀 사각지역 내 장치부품 유지보수공정 개발)

  • In this study, the maintenance process by the servo manipulator has been developed for the parts of the equipment, which we unable to reach out by the Master-Slave Manipulator(MSM) in a hot cell. To do this, a virtual mock-up is implemented using the iか prototyping technology. Using this mock-up, the workspace of the manipulators in the hot cell and the operator's view through the wall-mounted lead glass have been analyzed. In addition, the path planning of the servo manipulator using the collision detection function of the virtual mock-up has been established. From these, the maintenance process for the parts of the equipment, which are located at the outside of the MSM's workspace using the servo manipulator has been proposed and verified through the graphic simulation. It is revealed that the proposed remote maintenance process of the equipment can effectively be used in the real hot cell operation. It is also believed that the implemented virtual mock-up of the hot cell can effectively be applied in analyzing the various hot cell operation and enhancing the reliability and safety in a hot cell remote handling for the spent fuel management.

A GIS-based Traffic Accident Analysis on Highways using Alignment Related Risk Indices (고속도로 선형조건과 GIS 기반 교통사고 위험도지수 분석 (호남.영동.중부고속도로를 중심으로))

  • A traffic accident analysis method was developed and tested based on the highway alignment risk indices using geographic information systems(GIS). Impacts of the highway alignment on traffic accidents have been identified by examining accidents occurred on different alignment conditions and by investigating traffic accident risk indices(TARI). Evaluative criteria are suggested using geometric design elements as an independent variable. Traffic accident rates were forecasted more realistically and objectively by considering the interaction between highway alignment factors and the design consistency. And traffic accident risk indices and risk ratings were suggested based on model estimation results and accident data. Finally, forecasting traffic accident rates, evaluating the level of risk and then visualizing information graphically were combined into one system called risk assessment system by means of GIS. This risk assessment system is expected to play a major role in designing four-lane highways and developing remedies for highway sections susceptible to traffic accidents.
