Developmental Solutions of Commercial Sports Facilities (상업스포츠시설의 발전방안)

  • Commercial sports facilities dissatisfy and have the problem in facility management and social institution when we compare with advanced nation. To develop commercial sports facilities, government must improve facility management ability and increase social institutional support. First, to improve facility management ability, government must make effort for instructor's treatment better, employment extension, strengthening of management and marketing ability, improvement of service quality and consumer satisfaction, facility's modernization. Second, to extend social institutional support, government have to make effort for cultivation and disposition of specialized human power, deregulation and institution improvement of sports facility, support extension of taxes and finance, establishing information network of sports facility. Finally, the main body of commercial sports facilities have to make progressive effort for improving facility management ability, and government have to make excellent social environment developing commercial sports facilities.

프로스포츠 산업의 조직 구성원의 역량에 따른 관리자의 역할: 미국프로농구(NBA)와 한국프로농구(KBL) 감독의 실증연구 분석

  • 벤처기업 CEO의 본질적 역량과 역할은 조직의 자원을 얼마나 효율적으로 운영하는가에 따라 관리자로서 조직성과에 큰 영향을 미친다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 CEO 역량 수준이 조직이 내재하는 자원에 미치는 영향에 대한 이론적 고찰과 CEO의 역량 수준과 조직성과 간의 관계가 조직 구성원의 역량에 따라서 어떻게 달라지는가에 관한 실증연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 기존 선행연구의 한계점을 보완하기 위해 본 연구에서는 자원기반이론(resource-based view of the firm)을 바탕으로 프로스포츠 산업에서의 조직 구성원의 역량에 따른 관리자의 감독역할에 대해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 구체적으로, 본 연구에서는 기존의 스포츠 기업가정신(sport entrepreneurship) 연구 분야의 이론을 경영전략의 자원기반관점과 융합하여 벤처기업 CEO와 프로스포츠 감독의 역할이 조직구조와 성과 메커니즘의 측면에서 매우 흡사하며 조직의 자원을 효율적으로 운영하고 성과를 도출하는 측면에서 모두 기업가(entrepreneur)적 특성을 반드시 내재해야 한다고 본다. 이러한 맥락에서 프로스포츠팀에서의 관리자로서의 감독 역량과 조직성과 간의 관계에서 조직의 자원 효율성의 매개효과와 조직 구성원 역량에 대한 조절효과를 설명하고자 한다. 미국프로농구(NBA) 30개 구단과 한국프로농구(KBL) 10개 구단의 9개 시즌(2013~2014시즌 - 2021~2022시즌)의 감독과 팀 데이터를 실증분석에 있어 프로세스 매크로 58 모형을 적용하여 본 연구의 가설을 검증하였다. 실증분석 결과, 미국프로농구과 한국프로농구 데이터 모두에서 (1) 프로농구팀의 자원 효율성은 감독의 역량과 승률 간의 정(+)의 관계를 매개하고, (2) 조직 구성원의 역량은 농구팀의 자원 효율성을 통한 감독 역량이 승률에 미치는 간접효과를 조절(p<.05) 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 비교적 객관적으로 조직의 성과측정이 가능한 프로스포츠 데이터를 활용하여 프로스포츠 산업에서 벤처기업의 CEO와 유사한 기업가적 역할을 수반해야 하는 감독 및 조직 구성원의 역량이 조직의 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하는 한편 스포츠 애널리틱스(sport analytics) 분야와 경영학 연구를 융합하였다는 의의가 있다.

The Effects of Sports Team Performance and Social Media Operations on Fan Engagement: The Moderating Role of Fan Tokens (스포츠 구단의 경기 성적 및 소셜미디어 운영이 팬덤의 인게이지먼트에 미치는 영향: 팬 토큰의 조절 효과를 중심으로)

  • This study empirically analyzes the effect of a sports club's performance and social media operations on online information search volume, reflecting fan engagement. Additionally, it confirms that such effect can vary depending on the issuance of sports fan tokens. The analysis of the data resulted in the support of all four hypotheses presented in this study. The team's goal differentials during the games exhibited a significant and positive effect on the online information search volume by fans. Furthermore, the quantity of a team's social media posts also showed a significant and positive effect on the online information search volume. The aforementioned effects of the team's game-related performance and social media activity on the online information search volume appeared to be strengthened when the sports fan tokens of the team were issued. This study conducts an empirical analysis of fan engagement in sports clubs and delves into the marketing dimensions of sports fan tokens. By doing so, it broadens the research scope within sports marketing and offers practical insights for the development of marketing strategies by sports clubs.

  • In proportion as increasing priority of sports service industries, the necessity and importance of service marketing has raising. Because of such point, this study investigates on the relationship of physical evidence and performance in using commercial sport centers. A study model and several hypotheses were developed regarding the relationships. To test the model and the hypotheses empirically, we distributed 350 copies of survey and collected 283 copies. 278 copies appear valid for our empirical study, except 5 copies that are considered inappropriate for our purpose. The results and implications are as follows. First, Service physical evidence had a positive effects on overall perceived quality and satisfaction. second, Results indicate that overall perceived quality and satisfaction playa significant role in the relationship between physical evidence and customer loyalty.

  • Many sports organizations have been founded due to the Increasing demand for sports with the development of leisure culture. As a social institution for sport facilitation, sports organizations should assure rationality and transparence of finance and operation by introducing a system for financial reporting as usually adopted for a profit-making corporation. Also, general regulations on the tax obligation in sports organizations have to be formulated more clearly. This study tried to derive some implications for the accounting and taxation obligations in Korean sports organizations based on a basic model of public sports organizations, formed with a profit-making organization and satisfying the requirements of public interest as regulated by German taxation law.

  • It is not easy to present a generalized operating model because the operating environment of a sport event is composed of a complex matrix structure. In this study, we propose 'standardization' which provides guidance of concept and process of sport event management to solve this sports event management problem. To purpose complete of this study, the frame was developed by the international standard ISO 9001: 2015 is applied. The standards framework for sports event process management system structure proposed in this study consists of scope of application, citing standard, Terms and definitions, organizational situation, leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation, and improvement. This sport event process management system standard can be applied to any organization that wants to host, prepare, and operate sport events regardless of the form or scale of the sport event. In addition, this standard was focused on process management of life-cycle stages of sporting events, therefor it was possible to manage interrelationships and dependencies between processes and processes.

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the economic impact of the 23 sport-events in the city of Sokcho using an input-output(I-O) model. The multipliers of the sport-events were derived with respect to output, value added, personal income, indirect tax, and employment. The survey was conducted to estimate the total expenditures from participants (players, staffs, and spectators) (N = 1,026). In results, the lifetime sport-events were much more efficient than the elite sport-events in qualitative perspectives. Consequently, the result of this study can be used as an objective indicator to help to establish sport policies for the city of Sokcho.

  • 우리나라의 스포츠 산업 관련 분석은 그동안 영리 차원의 마케팅을 중심으로 이루어져왔다. 하지만 스포츠에 있어 핵심 요소는 경기력과 보급에 있고 이 기반 없이는 스포츠 산업의 확장도 기대할 수 없다. 최근 스포츠는 올림픽과 월드컵 등 메가스포츠 이벤트의 규모와 중요성이 더욱 커졌고, 각 스포츠의 국가별 경쟁도 갈수록 치열해지는 양상이다. 국가단위의 스포츠산업 활성화는 세계화를 통한 이러한 국제단위의 경쟁에서의 우위가 필수적이고 각국의 스포츠협회가 그 역할을 수행해야 한다. 따라서 스포츠산업의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 그 종목 스포츠협회의 외부 환경 분석이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 스포츠 협회중 가장 큰 조직인 대한축구협회에 대해 산업분석을 시행하여 외부환경에 대응하는 대한축구협회의 역량을 효과적으로 강화시킬 수 있는 경영전략를 제시하고자 한다.

  • This study tried to analyse the factors to promote sport cooperatives as the solutions to overcome those problems of present sports industry. The results of this study By Using the priorities of AHP on promoting factors of sport cooperative in Korea, could be suggested as follows. In advance, the basic directions were suggested in order of economical, social, cultural, and institutional factors. And next, the promoting strategies were suggested as follows: 1st, setting directions on the essentials of cooperative. 2nd, securement of the finance by business management development and organization ability improvement. 3rd, acquaintance with the basic laws of cooperative and securement of administrative support. 4th, social contribution through cooperation and interaction among cooperatives. 5th, making local communities through constructing networks among cooperatives. 6th, development of business models with membership systematizing and efficiency pursuit.
