Force Characteristic Analysis of Linear Switched Reluctance Motor according to Design Parameter (설계 변수에 따른 리니어 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기의 힘특성 해석)

  • This paper deals with extraction of design parameters of Linear Switched Reluctance Motor (LSRM) based on force calculation using space harmonic analysis, 2D Finite Element Method (FEM) and experimental measurement. First, analytical solutions for flux density due to mover winding currents are derived in terms of magnetic vector potential and a 2D rectangular coordinate system, for the case when the mover is located at aligned and unaligned position. The analytical results are compared with those obtained from a 2D FEM Second, using Fourier series expansion, this paper predicts the force profile of LSRM analytically.

  • This paper introduces the new Direct Torque Control(DTC) method based on the estimated torque in Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) and applies the proposed DTC to SRM for the instantaneous torque ripple reduction. The nonlinear characteristics of SRM is considered in the calculation of the estimated torque and the theory is described in this paper. Current control is one of the kernel elements of torque controller and the performance of the current control should be high for this work. But the conventional PI current control has a weak point in SRM application because of motional EMF. Consequently, this paper makes up for the weakness of PI controller through present of new current controller, that is termed the non-interference current control. The ability of proposed torque and current controller is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • This paper presents design and characteristics analysis of transverse flux switched reluctance generator(TFSRG) for wind turbine. Dimension is calculated by using output equation and maximum magnetomotive force(mmf) equation per pole. Design specification within effective range of mechanical and electrical energy is suggested in order to perform the analysis. it is confirmed to torque, inductance and induced electromotive force(emf) for one phase through three dimension Finite Element Analysis. Then design specification can be verified by comparing with proposed specification.

  • This paper presents a new sensorless controller used with both the classical sliding mode observer(SMO) and the rate of current change in order to a reduced torque ripple for switched reluctance motor (SRM) sensorless drives. The new sensorless scheme consists of a sliding mode observer (SMO)-based position sensorless approach for high speeds along with a low-resolution discrete the rate of current change for low speeds and standstill. The new position estimation resets between the SMO and the low-resolution of current change according to the speed sign and the position error difference between the SMO and the low-resolution rate of current change. The simulation results show the robustness of this new high performance sensorless control approach with the hybrid sensorless control topology.

Second, analyzed normal force and horizontal force from flux density of machine according to position.   • 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기(Switched Reluctance Motor, 이하 SRM)은 간단한 구조와 기계적 강인성, 넓은 속도 범위를 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 하지만, SRM을 산업분야에 적용하기 위해서는 각각의 설계 변수에 따른 성능 변화에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이며, 기기의 소형화에 대한 연구가 진행되어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2상 4/2극 SRM과 3상 6/4 SRM을 설계 하며, 2상 4/2극 SRM의 경우 스테퍼 회전자의 극호각과 스테퍼의 높이를 변수로 지정하여 성능을 확인하며, 3상 6/4극 SRM의 경우 2상 4/2 SRM 전동기 대비 기기의 소형화를 중점으로 설계 및 특성 해석을 수행하였다.

  • This paper deals with dynamic analysis of linear switched reluctance motor considering electromagnetic characteristics. First, inductance profile of linear switched reluctance motor calculate at align and unalign position and phase resistance using analytical method. Analytical method of this paper used space harmonics method, also, analysis result compares with data that is derived through an finite element method, and proved validity. In dynamic simulation of linear switched reluctance, we analyzed dynamic characteristic of linear switched reluctance motor according to single pulse waveform and hard chopping voltage PWM.
