선호구조의 논리를 결정모델에 적용시킬 때 선호구조는 일반적으로 특정 수치적 순서화 조건을 만족하게끔 표현된다. 그래야 주어진 선택지들을 둘러싼 개인 혹은 집단의 선호구조에 관한 정보가 형식적으로 표출될 수 있다고 여겨져 왔다. 그러나 선호구조의 수치적 순서화에 의해서만 선호관계의 정보가 형식적으로 표출될 수 있다는 성각은 일종의 독단이다. 더욱이 다양한 선택지의 결합에 의한 선호구조의 정보 이동은 기존의 수치적 순서화 속에서 제대로 다루어질 수 없다. 하나의 대안으로서 선형대수의 그래프이론에 바탕을 둔 선호구조의 질적 순서화 방식을 제안한다. 개인 혹은 집단의 선호구조에 관한 정보는 제안될 질적 순서화에 의해 보다 포괄적으로 다루어질 수 있다.

This paper investigates Centering-based metrics to evaluate ordering of utterances for text structuring. We point out a problem of MIN.NOCB metric which has been regarded as the simplest and best measure to evaluate coherence of ordering within Centering framework, and propose a new Centering-based metric, MAX.CPS as an alternative or supplementary one. This paper introduces a framework which pre-estimates the effectiveness of a metric on a given input ordering, and selects an applicable metric according to the pre-estimation result. Using this framework, we propose a new policy which can generate more optimal ordering within Centering framework. Moreover, we evaluate several kinds of Cf-ranking methods in terms of Centering-based metrics, and find that simply ranking entities by their linear order is generally the most suitable because of characteristics in Korean.

There are three kinds of order of instruction in mathematics, that is, historical order, theoretical organization and lecturing organization-order. Simply speaking, each lecturing organization-order is a combination of two preceding orders. The problem is how to combine between them. In a recent paper, we concretely considered this problem for the case of the concept of angle. The present paper analogously discuss with the concept of vectors. To begin with, we investigate theoretical organization and historical order of the concept of vectors as materials for the construction of its lecturing organization-order. It enables us to establish 4 stages in historical order of the concept of vectors proper to its theoretical organization. As a consequence, we suggest several criteria and forms for constructing its lecturing organization-order.

Today linear algebra is one of compulsory courses for university mathematics by virtue of its theoretical fundamentals and fruitful applications. Vector theory and matrix theory constitute of main topics in linear algebra. In the present paper we consider the question which of the two topics is prior in teaching of linear algebra. We suggest that vector theory should be prior to matrix theory contrary to the historical order of them.

대용(anaphora)과 생략(.ellipsis)지을 포함한 지시 해결(reference resolution)은 자연어 처리에 있어서 꼭 해결하고 넘어가야 할 문제이며 지시어가 가리키는 피지시어를 올바르게 찾아내는가의 여부가 자연어처리 시스템의 성패를 가름하는 중요한 요소가 된다해도 과언이 아니다. 본 논문에서는 한국어 대용과 생략을 해결하기 위한 기제로서 센터링 이론이 적합한가를 검토하고 나아가 언어에 따라서 다르게 제안된 Cf 목록의 순서를 한국어의 언어특성에 맞게 결정하는 기법을 제안한다. 센터링 이론에서 각 개별언어 간의 차이가 가장 두드러지게 나타나는 부분은 Cf 목록을 구성하는 요소들의 순서이다. 여기에서는 한국어와 언어적인 특성이 유사한 일본어를 대상으로 제안된 순서를 한국어에도 그대로 적용될 수 있는지 검토하고 문제점을 지적함과 동시에 개선 방안을 아울러 살펴보고자 한다.

In recent papers (Pak et al., Pak and Kim), it was suggested to positively use the history of mathematics for the education of mathematics and discussed the determining problem of the order of instruction in mathematics. There are three kinds of order of instruction - historical order, theoretical organization, lecturing organization. Lecturing organization order is a combination of historical order and theoretical organization order. It basically depends on his or her own value of education of each teacher. The present paper considers a concrete problem determining the order of instruction for the concept of angle. Since the concept of angle is defined in relation to figures, we have to solve the determining problem of the order of instruction for the concept of figure. In order to do this, we first investigate a historical order of the concept of figure by reviewing it in the history of mathematics. And then we introduce a theoretical organization order of the concept of figure. From these basic data we establish a lecturing organization order of the concept of figure from the viewpoint of problem-solving. According to this order we finally develop the concept of angle and a related global property which leads to the so-called Gauss-Bonnet theorem.

Testing of order-restricted alternative hypothesis in $2{\times}k$ contingency tables can be applied to various fields of medicine, sociology, and business administration. Most testing methods have been developed based on a large sample theory. In the case of a small sample size or unbalanced sample size, the Type I error rate of the testing method (based on a large sample theory) is very different from the target point of 5%. In this paper, the exact testing method is introduced in regards to the testing of an order-restricted alternative hypothesis in categorical data (particularly if a small sample size or extreme unbalanced data). Power and exact p-value are calculated, respectively.

This study presents a methodology for optimization of static characteristics of golf club shafts. Stacking sequence for the optimal composite shaft performance is searched. A new objective function is defined for the simultaneous optimization of flexural and torsional stiffnesses. Classical lamination theory is used for the static analysis. As the optimization tool, genetic algorithm is applied with the stacking sequence as design. variables. With the optimal stacking sequence, dynamic characteristics of the shaft is also studied.

개폐회로는 일명 이산회로, 논리회로 혹은 조합, 순서회로라 부르며 이는 연속회로이론과는 전혀 다른 현대 전기공학의 기초분야인 회로이론의 일부를 형성하고 있는 새로운 학문이다. 즉 연속회로이론에서 취급하는 정상상태에서의 회로의 입출력신호는 주어진 시간영역에서 단속현상이 없는 연속적인 파형이였으나 개폐회로이론에서는 그 회로의 입출력 신호를 어떤 종류의 파형보다 오히려 이산적으로 정의된 입출력치로 대응시키거나 회로자체가 주어진 시간 영역에서 고속개폐현상으로 인한 유한개의 내부상태로 나타내는 것이 그 특징이다. 앞으로 기술한 내용은 필자가 지난 수년간 서울대학교 전기공학과 및 성균관대학교 전자공학과 4학년 학생들에게 강의한 내용을 현장전기기술자들이 이해할 수 있도록 다소 보충한 것이다.

복합기계의 개념은 이미 1977년에 전자공학회지에 제시된 것이며, 그후에 약간의 이론적인 전개와 응용이 추가되었고, 앞으로도 더 보완할 계획이지만, 여기서는 개념의 대요를 소개하였다.
