Design of Simple-structured Fuzzy Logic System based Driving Controller for Mobile Robot (단순구조 퍼지논리시스템을 이용한 이동 로봇의 주행 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, we present an obstacle avoidance control algorithm for mobile robots based on SFLC (single-input fuzzy logic controller) with an efficient fuzzy logic look-up table to replace the traditional complicated operation. This method achieves better performance than traditional methods in terms of efficiency. The output of a SFLC leads the robot to the target automatically although many obstacles on the path. Our experiments show that the robot has good performance in the view of path tracking and other efficiency.

  • In a small wireless environment, such as your home or office, a various network using WiMedia PHY can be mixed. Because these networks operate independently for each application, data conflict can occur between adjacent networks. To avoid data conflict, the resource in a different time zone can be utilized. However, if devices in a network increase, available resources in the network decrease, and then the lack of resources necessary to provide service can occur. To solve this problem, we propose collision avoidacne scheme for coexistence of various UWB systems. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme through simulation.

  • In this paper, a Modified RED algorithm for congestion avoidance in IP networks is presented. The RED detects incipient congestion by computing the average queue size. By notifying only a randomly selected fraction of connection, it causes to the global synchronization or fairness problem, And also, the network characteristics need to be known in order to find th optimum average queue length. When the average queue size exceeds a minimum threshold, a modified RED algorithm drops packets based on the state of each connection. Performance is improved because of keeping the average queue size low while allowing occasional bursts of packets in the queue, we compare performance of modified RED with RED and Drop Tail in terms of goodput, network utilization and fairness.

  • 무선 근거리 지역망(Wireless LAN;WLAN) 환경에서 다중 채널을 이용하여 실시간 서비스를 제공하기 위한 매체 접근제어 계층에서의 채널의 사용 구간 할당 방법을 제안하고, 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통하여 제한된 방식의 실시간 서비스 지원 성능과 채널의 사용 효율을 분석한다. 제안한 채널 사용 구간 할당 방안은 개선된 매체 접근 제어 프로토콜 RICH-DP (Receiver-Initiated Channel-Hopping with Dual Polling)를 바탕으로 한다. 무선 환경에서 RTS-CTS를 사용하는 프로토콜은 SRMA, MACA, MACAW, IEEE 802.11, FAMA 등이 있다. 최근에 단일 채널을 환경에서 RICH(Receiver Initiated Channel-Mopping) 프로토콜이 제안되었다. RICH는 충돌 회피를 위해서 경쟁 구간에서 충돌 감지(carrier sensing)을 사용한다. RICH는 제한된 어플케이션에 국한되는 단절이 있다. 반면에 RICH-DP는 다중 채널 환경에서 충돌 감지와 특별한 코드(spreading code) 할당 없이 일반화된 충돌 회피를 제공한다. 실시간 서비스를 이용하자 차는 단말들로 하여금 RICH-DP를 사용하여 서비스를 제공할 때, 대역폭에 대한 정보를 AP(Access Point)로 전송토록 함으로써 비경쟁 구간에서 뿐 아니라, 경쟁구간에서도 높은 채널 효율이 얻어질 수 있도록 하고 있다. 제한된 방안의 성능 평가를 위한 모의 실험은 OPNET를 이용하여 실시간 서비스 데이터를 7개의 상태 천이를 갖는 VBR 소스로 모델링하고 비동기 트래픽들은 Poisson 소스로 모델링하여 실시간 서비스 단발들의 이용 대역폭과 채널 처리율과 시스템 지연시간을 성능 평가 인자로 하여 수행하였다. 논문에서 제한된 방법을 적용한 개선된 RICH-DP을 모의 실험을 통하여 분석한 결과 기존의 제한된 RICH-DP는 실시간 서비스에 대한 처리율이 낮아지며 서비스 시간이 보장되지 못했다. 따라서 실시간 서비스에 대한 새로운 제안된 기법을 제안하고 성능 평가한 결과 기존의 RICH-DP보다 성능이 향상됨을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • Rotor position is essentially required for vector control of permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG) and position sensor such as encoder are generally used for the purpose of position sensing. However, the use of position sensor degrades reliability of PMSG control system. This paper presents position sensor fault tolerant control method for PMSG control system. Sensorless position estimator based on extended electromotive force(EMF) is operated in parallel with sensored vector control to provide rapid reconfiguration capability to sensorless vector control at the moment of position sensor fault detection. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문은 고령자 및 장애인의 안전한 이동을 지원하기 위한 지능형 휠체어에서의 자동 장애물 감지 및 회피 기술을 개발한다. 이때 다양한 환경에서의 장애물을 정확히 감지하고 회피하기 위하여 학습을 이용한 비전 기반의 경로 선정 방법이 제안 된다. 제안된 시스템은 배경 분류기, occupancy grid map 생성기, 경로 선정기로 구성되며, 경로 선정 시 강건한 장애물 검출을 수행하기 위해 입력 영상을 occupancy grid map으로 변환하고, K-means clustering 알고리즘을 이용하여 생성된 대표 템플릿들과 비교하여 이동 가능한 방향을 선정한다. 제안된 시스템의 효율성을 증명하기 위해 다양한 형태의 장애물을 포함하는 실내 및 실외에서 실험한 결과 81.7%의 정확도를 보였으며, 지능형 휠체어 사용자에게 안전한 이동성을 제공 할 수 있음을 증명 하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is twofold: (i) to develop a teaching and learning plan and practical performance assessment tools for the improvement of teenager-parent communication and relationships as well as explore their effects on the communication in the everyday family life; and (ii) to find the underlying problems of teenager- parent communication through conversation analysis and to provide a improved dialogue model. We provided the experimental group with a performance task of communication training between teenagers and their parents in the real family situation while the control group practiced communication skills in a learning situation. However for both classes, before and after performance tasks were equally provided. The experimental group exhibited a longer conversation time with their parents, better communication skills, and higher degrees of relational satisfaction than the control group. Conversation analysis revealed that the experimental group reduced the use of blocking techniques in the teenager-parent conversations more than the control group, and all so raised the frequency of functional communications more than the control group. In both areas of communication in the experimental group was significantly improved, Most notably, a problem-solving case through no-lose conflict resolution methods was effective, succeeding by 70% in the e experimental group and 43.3% in the control group. Parents use blocking techniques like admonition, lecturing, blaming. sarcastic remarking, ordering and so forth, while teenagers use dispute, avoidance, blaming, and teasing in this order. The communication problems during the conversation process, teenagers' evasive and rebellious way of speaking instigates adverse communication responses from parents, so their conversation tends to unfold as ambiguous evasion opposed to: inquiring or evasion by short answers vs. ordering-preaching, or disputing vs. criticizing-making sarcastic, disputing vs. disputing-teaching, and criticizing vs. criticizing.

Analysis of the Characteristics of Free-riding Learner in Online Collaborative Learning (온라인 협력학습에서 무임승차 학습자의 특성 분석)

  • This study was conducted to explore the characteristics of learner who showed free riding behavior in online collaborative learning. For this, 290 students from three universities in the metropolitan area were studied. The collected data are as follows. Learner characteristics are learning strategy, learning motivation, academic retardation behavior, and learning disposition. Interaction distinguished between frequency and type of message. Interaction levels were collected with frequency. The subjects with less than 5 interaction frequencies were defined as free-riding students. 43 students were classified as free riders. Learner characteristics were analyzed by cluster analysis. As a result, the learner characteristics were divided into five groups. All the free riding students belonged to 4 groups. The learner characteristics of 4 groups are as follows. First, the level of the learning strategy is very low. Second, learning motivation has a high tendency toward performance - oriented approach and high tendency to avoid performance. This tends to deliberately avoid learning. Third, the level of delayed behavior is high. This is deliberately putting off student activities. Fourth, learning tendency is high in academic anxiety, task value, self efficacy and learning belief are very low. This is a lack of confidence in learning.

A Study on the Improvement of Searching Performance of Autonomous Flight UAVs Based on Flocking Theory (플로킹 이론 기반 자율정찰비행 무인항공기의 탐색성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • In conducting a mission to explore and track targets using a number of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs), performance for that mission may vary significantly depending on the operating conditions of the UAVs such as the number of operations, the altitude, and what future flight paths each aircraft decides based on its current position. However, studies on the number of operations, operating conditions, and flight patterns of unmanned aircraft in these surveillance missions are insufficient. In this study, several types of flight simulations were conducted to detect and determine targets while multiple UAVs were involved in the avoidance of collisions according to various autonomous flight algorithms based by flocking theory, and the results were presented to suggest a more efficient/effective way to control a number of UAVs in target detection missions.

  • In the end of 1990's, future free flight technology had been developed and tested in America and government established the plan for free flight until 2017. Aircraft separation assurance must be secured essentially to avoid collision between aircrafts before Free Flight comes true. Now, Civil aircraft has rules about avoidance activity with traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) but it can't apply to light aircraft. So there is a need about alternative method to apply light-aircraft because it has space and price problem to use TCAS. In this paper, TCAS algorithm has been modified and verified by simulating with LABVIEW program under ADS-B condition to get miniaturization and weight lighting cheaply. By simulating, collision alert algorithm is analyzed and verified with collision situation proposed by ICAO, and 100% checked for performing the alert announciation on all cases by TCAS standards.
