We described the overall explanation about R statistical package in Jang(2007). With referring the contents of the 7th national mathematics curriculum, we suggest the plan for applications of R package on probability and statistics education in elementary, middle and high school mathematics.

We can use R package as a statistical package on the education of probability and statistics in elementary, middle and high school mathematics. R is an interactive mode package and graphical presentation tools in R are powerful. The greatest advantage is that R is a general public license package. We need to consider R package as a standard statistical package on the education of probability and statistics in elementary, middle and high school mathematics.

In this paper we study the usefulness of Maple in school calculus education. The use of computer and calculator is debated in many aspect in mathematics education. By the computer visualization of mathematical image and proper use of computer we can teach inductively and intuitively the mathematical concept and give rise to the students' interest. Maple is very popular in college but is not in middle school because of language. Maple application which is made by Maplet is very useful multimedia teaching-learning tools. We introduce the use of Maplet and some application of the calculus course which we made.

본 논문은 교육현장에서 자바(Java)를 이용한 수치계산 애플릿(Applet)을 개발할 경우 수식을 인식하여 그 결과를 실행하고 보여주는 심볼릭 연산을 구현하기 위한 알고리즘 개발과 다양한 입력식을 처리하기 위한 효율적인 자료구조를 제안한다. 구현된 패키지내의 클래스는 변수와 상수, 다양한 연산자를 처리하기에 적합하며 분석된 정보를 통해 사칙연산의 처리, 연산자 우선순위의 처리, 심볼릭 연산, 다항식, 방정식, 함수의 그래프 작성, 간단한 미적분 처리를 하는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

유한요소법은 구조공학분야에서 발전하여 과학기술 전반에 통용되는 수치해석의 한 방법 또는 기술로서 각광받고 있다. 이 기법은 변분원리에 수학적 기초를 두는 미분 방정식의 수치해법의 하나라고 할 수 있다. 이 글에서는 고체역학 부문에 한정하여 유한요소법의 기본체계, 응력계산과 관련하여 중요 수치현상, 그리고 최근 국내외학계의 연구동향 및 상용 패키지 사용시 주의 사항에 관하여 언급한다.
