Internet Apparel Shopping: Perception of Risk among South Korean Female College Students in the Apparel Major (한국 여대생의 인터넷을 통한 의류제품 구입시의 인지위험 - 의류학 전공자를 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate perception of risks among South Korean female college students within the process of purchasing apparel products through the Internet. The study was implemented by descriptive survey method using questionnaire and subjects consisted of 324 South Korean female college students. Findings of the study showed that the purchasing process particularly regarding delivery and security issues seemed to be a strong concern. On the other hand, unique selection such as apparel brands only available through the Internet was a strong appeal to 37.7% of subjects. Factor analysis profiled risk perception as: 1) Internet Shopping Selection Preference, 2) Delivery Problems and Lack of Security 3) Product Quality and Characteristics 4) Return Policy Difficulties and 5) Fair Prices. Discriminant analysis showed Factors 1, 2 and 3 were significant in helping to differentiate among Non-Purchasers, Fewer-purchasers and Many-Purchasers. Factor 1 and 3 helped differentiate among respondents relative to age range. Across all types of purchasers, offering unique selections of cutting edge fashions and improving risk perception relative to delivery and security concerns seemed important for gaining greater market share. Being able to delivery quality products and communicate product characteristics would be a powerful competitive edge to add to the incentive of convenience in shopping for apparel on the Internet.

A Study on Consumer's Acceptance of Medical Internet Marketing According to Medical Departments (의료서비스 인터넷 마케팅 활동에 대한 진료과목별 소비자 수용에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the marketing activity of medical service providers via Internet was considered as a new technology for approaching this problem and the consumers' acceptance of the new marketing activity was analyzed through the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) path analysis. The path analysis was conducted for the non-insured medical departments and the insured medical departments. The path analysis revealed that the consumers felt usefulness of the marketing activity of non-insured medical service providers, which means that they have intention to accept and are satisfied with the Internet marketing activity provided by non-insured medical service departments. On the other hand, in the case of insured medical service, it was clarified that the 'easy of use' preferentially affects the users' intention of accepting the marketing activity rather than 'usefulness'.

  • 신사복 정장은 일상의 관습으로 착용되는 가장 중요한 항목으로서, 사무직, 관리 직, 전문직 등의 정신노동자들에 게 폭넓게 수용되는 매우 중요한 의복항목이 다. 따라서 소비자의 감성에 부합되는 신사복 개발을 위해 신사복 디자인에 대한 감성연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 신사복 상의 디자인 개발을 위해서 소비자의 감성에 적합한 신사복 상의를 적절하게 표현해 줄 수 있는 감성 어휘를 추출하고 그 인자를 분석하였다. 요인분석 결과,7개 의 요인과 67개 의 감성 어휘 가 채택되었다. 선택된 감성어휘는 인자별로 대별하여 7개의 요인으로 묶어서 대표적인 요인명을 붙인 결과, 요인 1은 품위성 요인. 요인 2는 매력성 요인. 요인 3은 실용성 요인, 요인 4는 체형성 요인. 요인 5는 외관성 요인. 요인 6은 남성미 요인. 요인 7은 활동성 요인이라고 하였다.

Content Creation and Flow: Why They Clik or Create UCCs (콘텐츠 창조와 플로우:동영상 UCC 이용 동기)

  • This study looks at motivations of video UCC users as a member of creative class. A qualitative research method was used for analyzing data collected by interviews. Killing time users, active clickers and creators are distinguished as different types of UCC users and their differing motivations are explored. The findings of the study are as follows: First, information sharing, self presentation, communication needs, ease of use for self presentation, usefulness are expressed as motivating factors for both active clickers and creators, Pleasure motivates every type of users. However, content creators experience a specific type of pleasure which is the pleasure of creativity or flow, which this study highlights as a key driving factor for content creators. The study adds to the findings of UCC user research which applies the TAM and the PAD model by revealing what pleasure and flow specifically mean for different types of UCC users.

A Development of a Web-based Instruction Prototype System Considering Individual Differences (개인차를 고려한 웹 기반 코스웨어 개발)

  • There have been many WBI systems developed, but most of them do not fully consider instructional methods and learners' individual differences. If these are considered, a system will make a greater contribution to educational efficiency. We have developed a WBI prototype system that supports various instructional methods with varying instructional content. It presents instructional content that considers learners' individual differences. In this system, we provide interactive content based on multi-medium, interactive content based on text, and multi-medium presentation-stye content as one way teaching and text material appropriate to the learners' reference. Among the instructional methods, this system recommends a content appropriate to the individual learner. We provide individually proper feedback which considers the learner' misunderstanding in test modules. We tested our system in actual classes, evaluating and proofing our system for maximum educational effect.

Estimating the Willingness-To-Accept for Cash Benefit of Long-Term Care Insurance (노인장기요양보험제도의 현금급여 도입 필요성 - WTA를 통한 적정 현금급여액 추정 -)

  • Korea government has launched long-term care insurance from 2008. However, one of the most important issues, whether or not providing cash benefit, is still unresolved. In this paper, in order to provide policy guidelines for the long-term care insurance, I attempt to estimate the Willingness-To-Accept (WTA) of the cash subsidy for informal care by using Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice method, a branch of Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). In doing so, I also estimated the determinants of the preference for cash benefit. Data were obtained from face-to-face survey interviews with 300 informal care-givers at three major general hospitals in Seoul, Korea. The questionnaire was constructed with two scenarios (mild/severe symptom). The results from logistic regression analyses and the estimation of WTA indicate that informal care-givers are willing to accept the cash benefit as low as 628 thousands won for mild fragile elderly and 1,072 thousands won for severe fragile elderly. The strength of this paper is that I estimated the WTA of the cash benefit by reflecting the changes in preferences of informal care-givers. The analytic results from the this paper suggest that the cash benefit in long-term care insurance is indispensible in achieving the goal of the long-term care system.

A Study on Willingness to Pay for Nuclear Energy Tax using Choice Experiment (원자력 발전 신규 조세 도입에 대한 지불의사액 추정 연구)

  • It is necessary to study the need for introduction of nuclear energy tax in Korea to internalize the externality cost of nuclear power and to make more balanced taxation system considering LNG and coal power. This study adopts choice experiment method to estimate the willingness to pay (WTP) for possible new tax on nuclear power. The finding is that the tax on nuclear fuel is more preferable to other tax base with KRW2.19/kWh of WTP, compared to KRW1.46/kWh for nuclear waste. The WTP for using the tax revenue to facilitate economic activity is KRW6.39/kWh compared to KRW6.12/kWh of WTP for funding climate change investment. The finding suggests that the design of nuclear power taxation needs to focus more on the use of tax revenue than on the choice of tax base.

Radiation Shielding to Minimize Image Information Loss (영상 정보 손실을 최소화하는 방사선 차폐체 연구)

  • Shielding for reducing exposure dose can make the diagnosis limited. The purpose of this study is to increase the efficiency of radiation protection and minimize the loss of image information by producing the shielding made of the water and the contrast medium which has different proportion and finding out the ideal proportion of them. Each shielding materials were made of water and water-soluble iodine contrast medium with the different proportion. The attenuation rate of absorbed dose was evaluated by the shielding materials in the plastic contents for measuring the efficiency of the radiation protection. As a result, the higher ratio of the contrast medium, the more efficient it is for radiation attenuation. The anatomical structure was observed most properly in case of the solution with 20 ml of the contrast medium and most difficultly in case of more than 60 ml of the contrast medium. In case of the signal intensity between skeleton and gas, the difference of average value had a significant as p < 0.001. Shielding with contrast medium attenuates less than the conventional shielding but in the examination for the sensitive part to radiation, it can be used to minimize the loss of the image information and reduce the exposure dose.

Study on the Factors Affecting the Intention to Use Real-time Video Conferencing Using Extended Technology Acceptance Model (확장된 기술수용모델을 적용한 실시간 화상강의 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • The influence of COVID 19 has a direct impact on the education field. In the situation where non-face-to-face classes are inevitably required, interest in the learning satisfaction and intention to use real-time video conferencing is increasing. This study analyzed the effects of learner-teacher interaction, social presence, availability, self-efficacy and academic engagement as video conferencing characteristics and learner's characteristics on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, learning satisfaction and intention to use video conferencing. The results of this study showed that learner-teacher interaction, availability, and self-efficacy had a positive effect on perceived ease of use, and all variables except availability had a positive effect on perceived usefulness. Also, perceived usefulness and ease of use were factors that increased learning satisfaction and video conferencing use intention, and learning satisfaction was identified as variables that increased video conferencing use intention. This study has significance in that it provided various theoretical and practical implications for real-time video conferencing which will be used in many educational fields in the future through empirical analysis.

Exploring the influence of commuter's variable departure time in autonomous driving car operation (자율주행차 운영 환경하에서 통근자 출발시간 선택의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of commuter's departure time on transportation system in future traffic system operated autonomous vehicle using agent based model. Various scenarios have been set up, such as when all passenger choose a similar departure time, or if the passenger chooses a different departure time. Also, this study tried to analyze the effect of road capacity. It was found that although many of the scenarios had been completed in a stable manner, many commuters were significantly coordinated at the desired departure time. In particular, in the case of a reduction in road capacity or in certain scenarios, it has been shown that, despite excessive schedule adjustments, many passengers are unable to commute before 9 o'clock. As a result, it is suggested that traffic management and pricing policies are different from current ones in the era of autonomous car operation.
