Knowledge State Analysis of Ionic Equation for Middle School Students (중학생들의 이온화식에 대한 지식상태분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate middle school students’ understanding of ionic equation. Two hundreds and nineteen middle school students were participated in the study. After six class hours of learning ‘electrolyte and ion’ unit, instrument was implemented to evaluate students’ understanding of ionic process and ability to write ionic equation. We analyzed the influence of characteristics of ionic compounds on correct answer rate. In addition, knowledge state of students required for writing ionic equation was analyzed. The results were as follows: First, ionic compounds tested were categorized into six groups. The correct answer rate was different depending on the characteristics of each group. Second, knowledge state required for writing ionic equation was structured. Based on results some suggestion were made to develope effective learning strategy for understanding ionic equation.

A Convergence Study on Developing a Syllabus for Tertiary Education (대학 강의계획서 개발의 융합적 연구)

  • The study aims to establish a syllabus for P university in an effort to improve the quality of tertiary education. Twenty seven universities' syllabi were collected in order to compare their components and contents. Individual interviews were conducted with 15 professors at P university, and their opinions were collected. As a result of several processes, including analyzing previous studies for syllabi, investigating other universities' syllabi, and interviewing faculty at P University, a syllabus of an accordion type was suggested for use at P university. The developed syllabus was examined by two experts in the education field. The pedagogical implication and suggestions for an established syllabus are also discussed.

  • The nature of supervision is to improve the quality of school education by assisting the teaching activities of teachers and development of a learning community. The school library should be considered a classroom, and should offer library-assisted instruction and information literacy through collaboration between the teacher librarian and subject teachers. Therefore, it should be under the systematic and settled supervision of school library experts. However, analysis shows school library-related divisions have carried out administrative supports in the 16 city and provincial education offices. It is necessary to seek a new supervision system in order to develop and support the education of teacher librarians and the educational value of school libraries. This study suggests The Reading and Library Section which integrates reading in school and public libraries as an independent division in municipal and provincial offices of education.

An Analysis on Gap of the Ability to Utilize Information Between In-service and Pre-service Teachers (현직교원과 예비교사간의 정보활용능력 격차 분석)

  • The ability to utilize information of learner can do self-directed learning that increases creativity of learner. But in the middle and high schools, if 2009 revision curriculum has to be enforce, the education of information knowledge and literacy is expected to leave the education undone at schools. Therefore the ability of leaners must develop through teaching in all subjects, and so the ability of teachers in the class is very important. We examined the actual conditions about the ability of pre-service and in-service teachers, and analyzed the gap of the ability between in-service and pre-service teachers. The indexes of total ability of in-service and pre-service teachers are shown to be 74.4 points and 50.5 points out of 100. The ability of pre-service teachers is on the level about 68-percent as compared with the ability of in-service teachers. Therefor the education offices of cities and provinces and the teacher training institutes must establish for improvement of the ability of pre-service teachers.

  • Computer-related OA lectures at the university mainly deal with the creation of word processing documents and presentations and spreadsheet documents. To use most of the course evaluation at the university will be evaluated by the subjective judgment about the satisfaction and the skills assessment of students. In this paper, we take a lecture given at the university of OA before and after the university students to self-diagnosis is to propose an survey. In addition, we would like to analyze more objectively the degree of use computer-related OA and the degree of improvement of computer skills by the proposed objective survey evaluate to students compare with students have acquired scores during the semester.

  • Computer education is important to learn functions of computers, and it is necessary to enhance the ability such as high-power intelligence ability, originality, and positive thoughts on the future. In other words, not only is it important to learn functions to calculate using computers but also it is important to understand the principle of the way computers calculate and enlarge other abilities to solve other problems through understanding of the principle. Accordingly, this study aims to teach search and sort of data structure to a primary-school children. In addition its purpose is to design teaching and learning methods and teach according to the methods and find out whether primary-school children can understand the contents. Intelligent field was assessed through equivalent test before and after the test and emotional field through students' impressions after a lesson. The test showed that search and sort algorithm of data structure could be taught to children. That is, it presented the learnability of search and sort of data structure as a learning element of elementary school computer education.

A study on the expansion of educational environment and students' competence through smart learning in the tertiary mathematics education (고등 수학교육에서 스마트러닝을 통한 교육환경 및 학습자 역량의 확장)

  • The purpose of the study is to promote the expansion of educational environment and students' competence through the application of smart learning. In G University in 2017, 118 freshmen in the department of Chemical-bio engineering who were taking Calculus I class were divided into 2 groups of experimental and control group. The study analyzed the effect of the various learning experience using educational technology and the interaction in the class through SNS on students' visual understanding and academic achievement. The result shows that the students' academic achievement and satisfaction in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group. This verifies the potential of smart learning in the field of mathematics in the tertiary level and suggests strategies for high quality smart learning.

A Qualitative Study on the Stress of Undergraduate due to COVID-19 (코로나19에 의한 대학생들의 스트레스에 대한 질적 연구)

  • This study used a qualitative research method to derive meaning through intensive interviews on stress, focusing on the subjective perceptions and experiences of college students about COVID-19. The study participants were 12 college students enrolled at University Y in Gyeonggi-do, and the questionnaires were 'How has your daily life changed due to COVID-19?' and 'What changes have you made in your environment due to COVID-19?', 'What kind of comfort/inconvenience did you experience due to COVID-19?'As a result of analyzing the stress experienced by university students due to COVID-19, the stress factors were found to be four types: concerns about academic quality, anxiety about disconnection from social relationships, burden due to decrease in jobs (part-time jobs), and health and safety anxiety. The results of this study, it seems that the university's efforts to optimize online classes, seeking social relationships through non-face-to-face, preparing policies for job creation for college students, and health management measures due to COVID-19 should be discussed.

The Effects of Writing Programs on College Students Using Flipped Learning for Training Convergence Talents (융합인재 양성을 위한 플립러닝을 활용한 글쓰기 프로그램의 효과)

  • This was a one-group pretest-protest pre-experimental study designed to find out the effects of writing programs on college students using flipped learning for training convergence talents with complex problem solving skills. Data were collected from 27 C university students in G-do, from September 1st to October 30th, 2020. Analysis was done using IBM SPSS 25.0 for frequency (percentage), average, standard deviation, and paired t-test. The study showed that self leadership was enhanced by an average of 0.45 points (p<.001), metacognition by 0.87 points (p<.001), goal orientation by 0,77 points (p<.001), and creativity by 0.51 points (p<.001), so was statistically significant. The study demonstrated that writing programs using filpped learning had the effect of improving complex problem solving skills. so the results are expected to be used as basic data for the development of educational programs for traning convergence talents with problem solving skills at university-level. Also, for current college students that can freely access the online environment, development of various e-learning classes that apply flipped learning is needed.

Exploring the Effects of the Audience Presentation System Using a Web Browser (웹 브라우저를 활용한 교수자-학습자 소통 프로그램 효과성 연구)

  • Although students can make their questions to clarify their curiosity, there are variety of reasons why a student cannot ask a lecturer. For example, they are ashamed to ask questions. In particular, in case of the class to attend many students, the situation for the difficulty of the question will be caused even greater. Recently, in order to overcome this problem, the Audience Presentation Program (APS) to share students' questions and comments have been introduced, it has widely used. The APS system enables students to ask questions more easily and comfortably. In this paper, we have analyzed the effect of the APS system on the basis of questionnaires in terms of easy-to-use, preference, engagement, etc. According to the results of this paper, we found that all students were satisfied with the APS system.
