하이솔리드 도료용 카프로락톤기 함유 80% 고형분인 아크릴수지의 합성 (Synthesis of Acrylic Resins Containing Caprolactone Group and 80% Solid Contents for High-Solid Coatings)

  • Acrylic resins (HSCs : EA/EMA/2-HEMA/CLA) which contain 80% solid content were synthesized by the copolymerization of monomers (ethyl acrylate, ethyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and functional monomer (caprolactone acrylate : CLA) which improves the crosslinking density and physical properties of films. The physical properties of the prepared acrylic resins (HSCs) containing CLA, are as follows: viscosity 1440$^{\sim}$2630 cps ; $M_n$ 1590$^{\sim}$1660 ; and conversions, 81$^{\sim}$86%, respectively. From the correlation of $T_g$ values, viscosities, and $M_n$ of the HSCs, it was found thst viscosity and $M_n$ increased with $T_g$ value.

  • Acrylic resins ($HSC_s$ : EA/EMA/2-HEMA/CLA) which contain 70% solid content were synthesized by the copolymerization of monomers (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate, and ethyl methacrylate) and functional monomer (caprolactone acrylate : CLA) which improves the crosslinking density and physical properties of films. The physical properties of the prepared acrylic resins (HSCs) containing CLA, are as follows : viscosity 245${\sim}$515 cps ; $M_n$ 2670${\sim}$2840 ; and conversions, 83${\sim}$91%, respectively. From the correlation of $T_g$ values, viscosities, and $M_n$ of the HSCs, it was found that viscosity and $M_n$ increased with $T_g$ value.

하이솔리드 아크릴/우레아 도료의 제조와 도막물성 연구 (Preparation and Physical Properties of High-Solids Acrylic/Urea Coatings)

  • Environmental friendly acrylic/urea high-solid paint(MUHC) were prepared through the curing reaction of acrylics resin(EBHC) containing 70wt% of solids content and butylated urea curing agent. The synthesis of EBHC Was done at $150^{\circ}C$ for 6 hours, and the results were obtained as follows : $M_{n}=1830{\sim}2190$, $M_{w}$ $3290{\sim}4000$, $M_{w}/M_{n}$=1.80{\sim}1.83$ viscosity=$110{\sim}352$ cps, and conversion=$82{\sim}92$%. After the film was coated with MUHC, the various physical properties were measured. They showed that enhancement of the coating properties such as adhesion, flexibility, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, and water resistance could be expected through introdl1cing caprolactone acrylate component in acrylics resin for the high-solids content acrylics/urea coatings.

  • The high-solid coatings were prepared by blending the synthesized acrylic resin in the previous paper, and hexamethylene diisocyanate-trimer and curing it at room temperature. The characterization of the films of the prepared coatings was performed. The $60^{\circ}$ specular gloss, impact resistance, cross-hatch adhesion, and heat resistance of the films proved to be good, and the pencil hardness, drying time, and pot-life proved to be slightly poor. From a viscoelastic measurement using a rigid-body pendulum, curing was accelerated with the Tg value.

  • 본 논문은 실질적인 최적화 구조물의 설계를 위한 시스템에 대한 것으로 퍼지이론에 바탕을 둔 자동 유한요소 생성 망 기술과 계산 기하학적 기술, 해석코드 및 솔리드모델러를 시스템에 통합시켰다. 최적해 또는 만족해는 자동해석 시스템과 함께 탐색공간을 위한 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 자동적으로 탐색되어 진다. 또한, 유전자 알고리즘을 이용함으로써 본 설계 시스템은 다차원 해를 얻을 수 있다. 개발된 시스템은 터널전류에 바탕을 둔 마이크로 가속도계의 형상설계에 적용하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 큰 회전 변형이 일어나는 가는 막대를 실시간에 시뮬레이션하는 기법을 제안한다. 가는 막대는 로프나 머리카락과 같이 일차원적인 구조를 표현하는데 널리 사용될 수 있다. 시각적으로 사실적인 가는 막대의 애니메이션을 실시간에 생성하는 것은 컴퓨터 그래픽스분야에서 오랫동안 주요한 도전 과제였다. 본 논문에서는 연속체 역학에 기반한 지배방정식을 세우고 이를 실시간에 적분하는 가는 막대구조를 위한 모달와핑기법을 개발한다. 이와같은 새로운 시뮬레이션 기법은 삼차원 솔리드를 위해 개발된 종전의 모달 와핑 기법을 확장한 것이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 매우 많은 정점으로 이루어진 가는 막대 구조의 큰 휨과 꼬임변형도 실시간에 사실적으로 생성할 수 있다.

얇은 두께 솔리드의 효율적인 모델링을 위한 박판 옵셋 알고리즘 개발 (Sheet Offsetting Algorithms for Efficient Solid Modeling for Thin-Walled Parts)

  • This paper describes an efficient solid modeling method for thin-walled plastic or sheet metal parts, based on the non-manifold offsetting operations. Since the previous methods for modeling and converting a sheet into a solid have adopted the boundary representations for solid object as their topological framework, it is difficult to represent the exact adjacency relationship between topological entities of a sheet model and a mixture of wireframe and sheet models that can appear in the meantime of modeling procedure, and it is hard to implement topological operations for sheet modeling and transformation of a sheet into a solid. To solve these problems, we introduce a non-manifold B-rep and propose a sheet conversion method based on a non-manifold offset algorithm. Because the non-manifold offset aigorithm based on mathematical definitions results in an offset solid with tubular and spherical thickness-faces we modify it to generate the ruled or planar thickness-faces that are mostly shown in actual plastic or sheet metal parts. In addition, in order to accelerate the Boolean operations used the offset algorithm, we also develope an efficient face-face intersection algorithm using topological adjacency information.

  • In the previous study, three kinds of monomers and the functional monomer, acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate (AAEM), which could improve the film property and cross-linkage, were polymerzied into acrylic resin copolymers (HSA-98-20, HSA-98-0, HSA-98+20) containing 80% solid content. In this study, the high-solid coatings(HSA-98-20C, HSA-98-0C, HSA-98+20C) were prepared by the curing reaction between acrylic resins containing 80% solid content and isocyanate at room temperature. Various properties were examined for the film coated with the prepared high-solid coatings. The introduction of AAEM in the coatings enhanced the abrasion resistance and solvent resistance of coatings, which indicated the possible use of high-solid coatings for top-coating materials of automobile. The curing times measured by viscoelastic measurement were 350, 264, and 212 min for HSA-98-20C, HSA-98-0C, and HSA-98+20C, respectively. This shows that the curing times become shorter with increasing $T_g$ values.

  • An ACR/HMMM film was prepared by blending high-solid ACR with curing agent, hexamethoxymethyl melamine (HMMM). An active curing reaction was observed at $170^{\circ}C$. The dynamic viscoelastic $T_{g}$ of the final film increased with the static viscoelastic $T_{g}$ of the film. The log damp value, which means a viscoelastic ratio, decreased with the increase in the curing temperature of the film. Physical properties of the films were within a suitable range for films, and by an accelerated weathering resistance test the films were proved weather resistible ones.

  • High-solid coatings were prepared by blending of previosly synthesized acrylic resins and hexamethylene diisocyanate-trimer and curing it at room temperature. The characterization of the films of the prepared coatings was performed. The impact resistance, cross-hatch adhesion, $60^{\circ}$specular gloss, and heat resistance of the films proved to be good, and the pencil hardness and drying time proved to be slightly poor. Especially, there was a remarkable improvement in the heat resistance. This improvement may stem from the regular arrangement of ethyl groups introduced into the acrylic resin. As a result of Rigid-body pendulum visco-elasticity measurement, dynamic $T_g$ values of cured films increased with dynamic $T_g$ values.
