Development of New Device for the Rapid Measurement of the freshness of Wet Fish by Using Micro Computer (마이크로 컴퓨터를 이용한 어육의 신선도 측정장치의 개발)

  • To develop a device for measuring fish freshness which could be move accurate and reliable than used freshness measuring systems. A new device based on digital circuit was designed using a microcomputer. The device was composed of a sensor part, 8096 microprocessor and a segment display. The effectiveness of device has been evaluated by the coefficient of correlation among the measured freshness stores such as electrical Q-value, K-value and amount of volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) of plaice, Paralichthys Olivaceus, during storage at $-3^{\circ}C,\;0^{\circ}C,\;5^{\circ}C,\;10^{\circ}C,\;and\;25^{\circ}C$. Q-values measured by a new device were more closely correlated with K-value (r=-0.978-\;-0.962,\;p<0.05) and VBN (r=-0.888-\;-0.988,\;p<0.05) in case of plaice meat. If more data would achieve using various fishes, this new designed device could be a valuable kit in fish market by its compact portability.

Influence of relative distance between heater and quartz crucible on temperature profile of hot-zone in Czochralski silicon crystal growth (쵸크랄스키법 실리콘 성장로에서 핫존 온도분포 경향에 대한 히터와 석영도가니의 상대적 위치의 영향)

  • To lessen oxygen concentrations in a wafer through modifying the length of graphite heaters, we investigated the influence of relative distance from heater to quartz crucible on temperature profile of hot-zone in Czochralski silicon-crystal growth by simulation. In particular, ATC temperature and power profiles as a function of different ingot body positions were investigated for five different heater designs; (a) typical side heater (SH), (b) short side heater-up (SSH-up), (c) short side heater-low (SSH-low), (d) bottom heater without side heater (Only-BH), and (e) side heater with bottom heater (SH + BH). It was confirmed that lower short side heater exhibited the highest ATC temperature, which was attributed to the longest distance from triple point to heater center. In addition, for the viewpoint of energy efficiency, it was observed that the typical side heater showed the lowest power because it heated more area of quartz crucible than that of others. This result provides the possibility to predict the feed-forward delta temperature profile as a function of various heater designs.

Color Vision Based Close Leading Vehicle Tracking in Stop-and-Go Traffic Condition (저속주행환경에서 컬러비전 기반의 근거리 전방차량추적)

  • This paper describes a method of tracking a close leading vehicle by color image processing using the pairs of tail and brake lights. which emit red light and are housed on the rear of the vehicle in stop-and-go traffic condition. In the color image converted as an HSV color model. candidate regions of rear lights are identified using the color features of a pair of lights. Then. the pair of tailor brake lights are detected by means of the geometrical features and location features for the pattern of the tail and brake lights. The location of the leading vehicle can be estimated by the location of the detected lights and the vehicle can be tracked continuously. It is also possible to detect the braking status of the leading vehicle by measuring the change in HSV color components of the pair of lights detected. In the experiment. this method tracked a leading vehicle successfully from urban road images and was more useful at night than in the daylight. The KAV-Ill (Korea Autonomous Vehicle- Ill) equipped with a color vision system implementing this algorithm was able to follow a leading vehicle autonomously at speeds of up to 15km!h on a paved road at night. This method might be useful for developing an LSA (Low Speed Automation) system that can relieve driver's stress in the stop-and-go traffic conditions encountered on urban roads.

  • This paper deals with characteristics analysis of a permanent magnet (PM) linear generator using analytical methods for wave energy harvesting. The wave energy is carried out from the movement of a yo-yo system. A linear generator using permanent magnets to generate a magnetic force itself does not require a separate power supply and has the advantage of simple maintenance. In addition to the use of a rare earth, a permanent magnet having a high-energy density can be miniaturized and lightweight, and can obtain high energy-conversion efficiency. We derived magnetic field solutions produced by the permanent magnet and armature reaction based on 2D polar coordinates and magnetic vector potential. Induced voltage is obtained via arbitrary sinusoidal input. In addition, electrical parameters are obtained, such as back-EMF constant, resistance, and self- and mutual-winding inductances. The space harmonic method used in this paper is confirmed by comparing it with finite element method (FEM) results. These facilitate the characterization of the PM-type linear generator and provide a basis for comparative studies, design optimization, and machine dynamic modeling.

Surface Elevation Recovery Methods from Pressure Gage for Irregular Waves (불규칙파(不規則波에) 대한 압력식(壓力式) 파고계(波高計)의 적용성(適用性)에 관한 연구(研究))

  • A precedure for recovering surface displacement from a time series of pressure measured by a pressure gage in a shallow water (that is, FFTM, LCM. IWM) is investigated with respect to a proper cut-off-frequency of a frequency response function for the accurate recovery of wave height and period. The authors examined the applicability of above mentioned three transformation procedures through field observations and laboratory experiments and the following results are obtained. i) The cut-off-frequency of the frequency response function used in FFTM is deeply depend on both the frequency response of the pressure sensor and the water depth at the sensor. In this study, a relatively accurate surface displacement can be recovered when the frequency response function is cut off at the frequency corresponding to kh=3.0 where k is a wave number at the depth of h. The frequency response function in the region higher than the cut-off-frequency is set constant to be the value at the cut-off-frequency. ii) The transformed surface displacements by LCM are affected by the small waves of short periods included in the measured pressure. It is found that pressure variation whose local frequency is higher than kh=1.5 has to be neglected to recover surface displacement sufficiently. iii) In IWM, the linear pressure response function is usually utilized by multiplying a coefficient N which is a function of the frequency (or kh) and takes a value around unity. However, in this study, a constant value of N(=1.0) gives a relatively accurate recovery of surface displacements.

On-Line music score recognition by DPmatching (DP매칭에 의한 On-Line 악보인식)

  • 컴퓨터의 기술적 발전은 사회 여러 분야에 막대한 영향을 끼쳤다. 그중 악보인식분야에도 커다란 영향을 주었다. 그러나, On-line 상에서 그린 악보를 실시간으로 정형화된 악보형태로 변환하는 처리에 대한 연구가 미흡하여 이에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 악보를 인식하고, 사용자의 편의를 도모하기 위해 DP(Dynamic Programming) 매칭 법을 이용한 On-Line 악보인식에 관한 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 실시간으로 입력되는 악상기호를 인식하기 위해, 가장 유효한 정보인 악상 기호내의 방향, x, y 좌표를 이용하여 벡터형태로 추출한 후 음표와 비음 표(쉼표, 기타기호)의 두개의 그룹으로 나누어진 표준패턴과의 DP매칭을 통해 인식한다. 먼저 tablet을 통해 실시간으로 악상 기호를 입력할 때 생기는 x, y좌표를 이용하여, 펜의 움직임에 대한 16방향 부호화를 수행한다. 음표와 비 음표를 구분하기 위한 시간을 줄이고자 16방향 부호화를 적용하지 않고 사사분면부호화를 적용한다. 음표를 약식으로 그릴 경우 음표 머리에 해당하는 부분의 좌표는 삼사분면에 분포하고, 폐곡선의 음표일 경우에는 좌표가 사사분면에 고르게 나타난다. 폐곡선을 제외한 음표의 머리는 폐곡선과 같은 조건이면서 입력받은 y좌표 값들 중에서 최소 값과 최대 값을 구한 다음 2로 나눈 값을 지나는 y좌표의 개수가 임의의 임계값 이상이면 음표로 판단한다. 위 조건을 만족하지 않을 경우 비 음표로 취급한다. 음표와 비 음표를 결정한 다음, 입력패턴과 표준패턴과의 DP매칭을 통하여 벌점을 구한다. 그리고 경로탐색을 통해 벌점에 대한 각각의 합계를 구해 최소 값을 악상기호로 인식하였다. 실험결과, 표준패턴을 음표와 비음표의 두개의 그룹으로 나누어 인식함으로써 DP 매칭의 처리 속도를 개선시켰고, 국소적인 변형이 있는 패턴과 특징의 수가 다른 패턴의 경우에도 좋은 인식률을 얻었다.리되고 이원화된 코드체계와 데이터 형태의 이질화를 통일하는 방법으로 데이터웨어하우스 시스템을 제시하였다. 결국 병원에서 데이터웨어하우스 시스템의 구축은 임상, 연구, 교육의 유기적 순환관계를 정립하여 지식의 순환적 고리인 수집, 공유, 확산, 재창출을 지속적 유지할 수 있는 인프라를 구축해 준다. 반면 상이한 정보들간의 충돌과 이에 따른 해석의 오류로 잘못된 의사결정을 위한 정보를 제공할 수 있고 기초정보의 접근 및 추출의 유용성에 의해서 정보유출에 대한 문제가 한계점으로 나타났다.로세스 개선을 위해서 무엇을 정말로 필요로 하는지를 밝힘으로써, 한국 소프트웨어 산업의 현실적인 특수성을 고려한 소프트웨어 프로세스 평가와 개선 모델의 개발을 위한 기초적인 자료를 제공할 것으로 예상된다. 또한, 본 연구 결과는, 우리나라 소프트웨어 조직들이 실제로 무엇을 필요로 하는지를 밝힘으로써, 우리나라의 소프트웨어 산업을 육성하기 위한 실효성 있는 정책 입안을 위한 기초 자료를 제공할 것으로 예상된다.를 검증하려고 한다. 협력체계 확립, ${\circled}3$ 전문인력 확보 및 인력구성 조정, 그리고 ${\circled}4$ 방문보건사업의 강화 등이다., 대사(代謝)와 관계(關係)있음을 시사(示唆)해 주고 있다.ble nutrient (TDN) was highest in booting stage (59.7%); however no significant difference was found among other stages.   • This study aims to generate digital elevation model from digital satellite imagery. Digital elevation model is being increasingly used for geo-spatial information system database development and for digital map production. Image matching technique was applied to acquire conjugate image coordinates and the algorithm for digital elevation model generation is presented in this study The exterior orientation parameters of the satellite imagery is determined by bundle adjustment and standard correlation was applied for image matching conjugate of image points. The window as well as the searching area have to be defined in image matching. Different sizes of searching area were tested to study the appropriate size of the searching area. Various coordinate transformation methods were applied to improve the computation speed as well as the geometric accuracy. The results were then statistically analysed after which the searching area is determined with the safety factor. To evaluate the accuracy of digital elevation model, 3-D coordinates were extracted from 1/5000 scale topographic map and this was compared to the digital elevation model generated from satellite imagery. The algorithm for generation of digital elevation model generated from satellite imagery is presented in this study which will prove effective in the database development of geo-spatial information system and in digital elevation modelling of large areas.

  • In this paper, we propose a user friendly object-based image retrieval system using the interaction between cortex and hippocampus. Most existing ways of queries in content-based image retrieval rely on query by example or query by sketch. But these methods of queries are not adequate to needs of people's various queries because they are not easy for people to use and restrict. We propose a method of automatic color object extraction using CSB tree map(Color and Spatial based Binary をn map). Extracted objects were transformed to bit stream representing information such as color, size and location by region labelling algorithm and they are learned by the hippocampal neural network using the interplay between cortex and hippocampus. The cells of exciting at peculiar features in brain generate the special sign when people recognize some patterns. The existing neural networks treat each attribute of features evenly. Proposed hippocampal neural network makes an adaptive fast content-based image retrieval system using excitatory learning method that forwards important features to long-term memories and inhibitory teaming method that forwards unimportant features to short-term memories controlled by impression.

Development of Continuous Beer Maturation Precess Using Immobilized Yeast (고정화 효모를 이용한 맥주의 연속 숙성공정 개발)

  • Continuous processes using immobilized yeast were investigated in order to shorten beer maturation time. Three silica-based ceramic media and one cellulose-based medium were used. Diacetyl (DA) was one of the most distinctive compounds causing immature flavors. Heat treatment of green beer (GB) to convert a-acetolactate to DA was essential to shorten the time for beer maturation. The longer heat treatment time was needed at the lower temperature. Oxygen concentration in GB had a large influence on the conversion of a-acetolactate to DA. The lower the oxygen concentration in GB, the lower conversion ratio to DA. Heat treated GB was fed continuously to four kinds of immobilized yeast columns. DA concentration after immobilization columns was reduced to less than 0.1ppm at $3∼5^{\circ}C$ 180∼150 minutes retention time in all columns tested. This concentration is enough to fit the quality speification of commercialized product. Formation of a-acetolactate from residual sugars was higher in ceramic media column than cellulose media cloumn. The taste of beers from test processes were not the same as that of traditionally produced beer, but no off-flavors were detected in test samples, which shows that immobilized yeast columns have potentials as rapid processes for beer maturation.

A Study on Updated Object Detection and Extraction of Underground Information (지하정보 변화객체 탐지 및 추출 연구)

  • An underground integrated map is being built for underground safety management and is being updated periodically. The map update proceeds with the procedure of deleting all previously stored objects and saving newly entered objects. However, even unchanged objects are repeatedly stored, deleted, and stored. That causes the delay of the update time. In this study, in order to shorten the update time of the integrated map, an updated object and an unupdated object are separated, and only updated objects are reflected in the underground integrated map, and a system implementing this technology is described. For the updated object, an object comparison method using the center point of the object is used, and a quad tree is used to improve the search speed. The types of updated objects are classified into addition and deletion using the shape of the object, and change using its attributes. The proposed system consists of update object detection, extraction, conversion, storage, and history management modules. This system has the advantage of being able to update the integrated map about four times faster than the existing method based on the data used in the experiment, and has the advantage that it can be applied to both ground and underground facilities.
