Junior High School Teachers' and Students' Perceptions on The Science Textbooks (과학 교과서에 대한 중학교 교사와 학생들의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey junior high school teachers' and students' perceptions on the science textbooks. Subjects of this study were 113 science teachers and 715 students from junior high schools in Daegu and Kyungpook area. As statistical method, one-way ANOVA and t-test were used to check differences of the perceptions between teachers and students. Teachers had different perceptions by school location and class size, while students had different perceptions by school location, co-ed, class size, and grade level. Both teachers and students having the relativistic viewpoint on textbook knowledge regarded the knowledge as relativistic one, and preferred the student-centered textbooks. Teachers liked textbooks written by the student-centered view more than students did. Teachers had the more absolutistic viewpoint on textbook knowledge and on teaching, while students liked the electronic textbooks more than teachers did.

Effect of Unplanned Haptic Experience on Product Evaluation (계획되지 않은 햅틱 경험이 상품의 가치 평가에 미치는 영향)

  • People often use haptic experience as a basis for their preference decisions and value judgments, assuming that haptic experience with a product results from the properties of the products. However, research has suggested that unplanned haptic experience, which does not arise from the properties of the product itself, can also influence people's preference and value evaluation (Ackerman, Nocera, & Bargh, 2010). In this study, in order to verify (1) if such unplanned or accidental haptic experience changes user's cognitive tendency and (2) if accidental haptic experience leads to misattribution of the cause of haptic experience, two hypotheses were suggested and empirically investigated. Participants of the experiment were exposed to certain products on a display of a tablet PC and asked to decide on the maximum price they were willing to pay for each product. The products displayed on the screen were made up of either soft material or hard material. Results of the experiment revealed that accidental haptic experience had an effect on participants' value evaluation of products via altering their cognitive inclinations. Possible applicability of accidental haptic experiences that occur in various situations were discussed.

A Study on Perception of Alcoholic Beverage among Women and Development of Anti-Oxidant Beer Natural Ingredients (국내 성인 여성의 음주 인식과 형태 및 천연 소재를 활용한 항산화 맥주 개발에 관한 연구)

  • For the study, 366 copies of questionnaire were distributed among and collected from Korean women in their 20s to 60s between April and May 2016. To investigate the utility of anti-oxidant beers that contain extracts of natural substance respectively, the anti-oxidantive activity were measured and preference for anti-oxidant craft beers was surveyed among the subjects. The result suggested that the subjects had positive perception toward drinking, Korean adult women highly prefer beer among different types of alcoholic beverage, and the form of drinking changed according to the stamina, mood, situation, place, and company. Also, natural substance extracts showed high levels of antioxidant effects and, in the survey on preference for craft beers, the aronia group scored higher than other groups. The findings in this study suggest, for Korean adult women, beer with anti-oxidant ingredients can be beneficial for skin and overall health. Also, the findings can be used as basic data related to drinking among adult women and development of anti-oxidant beer. The Journal of Digital Policy & Management. Specialized Job Drama's Traits and Aspects of Development in 2000's (2000년대 전문직 드라마의 특징과 발전 양상)

  • The terrestrial television broadcasting has increased the number of the specialized job drama in the programming in 2000's, for overcoming the limit of the materials and reflecting the new sociocultural phenomenon valuing the specialized job. This drama benefits from good audience and huge fans, while the low average rate of audience shows the limit of competitiveness of this new genre. The text analysis clarifies three traits of the specialized job drama. At first, this genre is characterized by the variety of materials and the attempt of realistic description. Then, its narrative structure is organized so as to develop a story based rather on the success of career than on the relation of love. Finally, its last trait lives in the character of the heroes which is a creation based on the narrative structure.

A Study on the Difference of Computational Thinking and Attitude according to Left and Right Brain Preference (초등학교 로봇 활용 교육에서 좌우뇌선호에 따른 컴퓨팅사고력, 로봇에 대한 태도의 차이)

  • This study intends to examine the effects of education using robot on computational thinking and attitudes according to left and right brain preference. To execute the study, 17 elementary students at A youth training center in Seoul were selected to participate in the education. And the mean difference was analyzed using matched pair t-test and Mann-Whitey U test. As a result, after participating in the education, there was some statistical significance found in the scores to test student's computational thinking, but not statistical significance on the attitudes. Furthermore, there was no significance found in computational thinking or attitude according to the left and right brain preference. The purpose of this study can be found in that it expands the understanding of education using robot by verifying the efficacy and analyzing differences according to left and right brain preference.

Perception of Maxillary Anterior Esthetics by General Public and Dental Hygiene Student of the Specific College (일반인과 일부 치위생과 학생들의 상악 전치부 심미 선호도)

  • This study was designed to compare the perception of dental hygiene students and general public with respect to minor variations in maxillary anterior tooth size, alignment and their relation to the surrounding soft tissues. Maxillary anterior teeth were intentionally diagrammed in varying degree of deviation with respect to one of three common anterior esthetic discrepancies including variations in crown length, shape of gingival margin, and length of interproximal contact. Seventeen images were generated to be preferentially selected by 2 groups consisting of dental hygiene students and lay people in Busan(total of 216). The obtained results were as follows; 1. Both group preferred gingival margin of lateral incisor to be 0.5mm lower than that of central incisor. 2. Both group preferred the gingival margin shape of central incisor has 1/9 horizontal component of the crown width. 3. Both group preferred length of the interproximal contact has 1/2 of the crown length. The results of this study may be considered to influence the decision making process by dental professionals with respect to designing the anterior esthetic gingival line.

  • 이 연구는 IPA 기법을 적용하여 민간경비원들의 여가활동 집중개선 종목을 도출하고, 나아가 여가제약이 참가지수에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 주된 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 2010년 서울 소재 6개소 민간경비업체를 대상으로 판단표집법을 적용하여 최종분석에 사용된 사례 수는 총 267명이다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 민간경비원들의 여가활동 참가 지수인 선호도와 참여도는 차이가 있다. 중점개선 여가활동은 헬스, 산책/조깅, 숙박관광, 당일여행 등이다. 둘째, 민간경비원들의 여가제약은 여가활동 참가지수에 영향을 미친다. 개인내적, 주변의식적, 대인적 제약이 클수록 선호하는 여가활동에 부적 영향을 미치는 반면, 구조적, 시간 경제적 제약을 극복하고 선호하는 여가활동에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 민간경비원들의 복지적처우개선에 집중적인 투자가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Preference Sensibility and Hand of Silk Fabrics according to Lifestyle (소비자의 라이프스타일에 따른 견직물의 선호감성과 태평가)

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 라이프스타일에 따라 견직물에 대한 감각·감성의 차이가 있는지를 분석하고, 라이프스타일별 촉감선호도와 구매선호도 차이를 규명함으로써 견직물의 소재 디자인시 감성관련정보를 제공하고자 한다. 라이프스타일에 따라 감각형용사는 ‘거칠다, 우글쭈글하다, 촘촘하다’등에서 보수파가 캐주얼파보다 높은 평가하였으며, 감성형용사는 ‘개성적이다, 독특하다’등에서는 보수파가 캐주얼파보다 높게 평가하였으며 ‘클래식하다’는 보수파가 캐주얼파보다 높게 평가하였다. 또한, ‘캐주얼하다, 액티브하다, 신선하다’는 보수파가 캐주얼파보다 높게 평가하였다. 세 clluster별로 촉감선호도와 구매선호도를 분석한 결과 cluster 2를 가장 ‘촉감이 좋다, 구매시 선호한다’라고 하였다. 촉감선호도는 라이프스타일에 따라 유의한 차이가 없었으나 구매선호도에서는 라이프스타일에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다.

A Study on the User Satisfaction of Subject Service in the University Library (대학도서관의 주제전문서비스 이용자 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관 주제전문서비스를 이용하는 이용자의 만족도와 이용자특성에 따른 영향을 알아봄으로써, 대학도서관 이용자 서비스 제공 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구대상은 경기도에 소재한 K대학도서관 서비스를 이용하는 학부생 40명, 대학원생 40명, 교직원 20명, 총 100명을 대상자로 하였다. 연구방법은 대학도서관 주제전문서비스를 이용하는 이용자들의 인식에 관한 문항 설문지로 하였다. 이용자 특성에 따라 도출한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 대학도서관 주제전문서비스를 이용하는 학부생의 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 대학도서관 주제전문서비스를 이용하는 대학원생, 교직원의 만족도는 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이용자가 선호하는 서비스 방법은 도서관 홈페이지를 통해 제공받는 방식을 선호하였다. 따라서 본 연구를 종합해보면 향후에는 본 연구를 바탕으로 주제전문서비스를 처음 시행하는 대학도서관이 주제전문서비스를 시행할 때 목표달성에 기여하고, 서비스를 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 좋은 귀감이 될 것이라 판단된다.

The Image of Science Teachers suggested by Pre-service Science Teachers (예비 과학 교사가 보유한 과학 교사에 대한 이미지)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the image as science teachers recognized by pre-service science teachers. The data was collected from 312 pre-service science teachers from Kyungpook National University in Daegu and participants were asked to write about the image of science teachers they liked most and least in their secondary school years freely. The result of this research was as follows. The image as science teachers categorized 2 factors: science instructional situation, image of science teacher. Each factor was subdivided into more detailed ones. First of all, 'science instructional situation' category subdivided into lesson style, teaching-learning materials, teaching methods, and class atmosphere. In lesson style, 'experiment' and 'observation' gained the most favorable comments, and questioning-answering gained the least. In teaching-learning materials, print materials such as handouts, worksheets, reports were the most liked, and 'writing on the blackboard' was the least liked. In teaching methods, the 'detailed and systematic explanation of the theory and concepts' was preferred to rote learning and memorization lacking explanation. In class atmosphere, friendly and free atmosphere was the most preferred, and uncomfortable, boring one was the least preferred. Secondly, in 'image of the science teachers' category and 'quality as the teachers' sub-category, thoughtful and considerate teachers who respect students' personality was the most preferred. On the contrary, they didn't prefer teachers who were indifferent and humiliated students. Finally in 'characteristics of the teachers' sub-category, the participants liked clear, energetic voice, and mild expression, and they didn't like formal style, overly fancy clothes, etc. Based on the result of this study, more empirical study on the teachers' image is needed, and the thoughts of educational administrators, students, parents, and teachers should be reflected because an undesirable teacher can be advised and get opportunity to be a better teacher.
