부유식 석유생산/저장/하역 선박(FPSO)의 소음예측 및 저감 (A Noise Control of a Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO))

  • Recently, the demand for the Floating, Production, Storage, and Offloading facility (FPSO) which has some economic and technical advantages, has increased in offshore oil production areas. The 36,8000 DWT class FPSO was built in Hyundai Heavy Industries and will be installed in Offshore Angola. She dose not have self-propulsion system, but has additional facilities for oil production and positioning system. Main noise sources are contributing to the cabin noise of the accommodation are classified into three classes such as the machinery in the engine room and the deckhouse, HVAC system, and the topside equipments. In general, the noise regulation for the offshore structure is severer than that of the cargo ship and acceptable noise limit of cabin is specified as 45 dB(A). This paper describes the procedure of noise analysis, the countermeasures of noise control, and the measurement results of the quay trial. In order to minimize the noise levels, careful attention have to be paid by the special committee of experts from the initial design stage to the delivery. Proper countermeasures, considering the characteristics of sources and receiver spaces, were applied from the noise prediction and various experiment results. Finally, this ship was successfully delivered with excellent noise properties. The technology to minimize the noise levels for FPSO has been established throughout the construction of this ship.

완충재 구성방법에 따른 동탄성계수 및 중량바닥충격음 저감특성 평가 (Evaluation of the Dynamic Stiffness and Heavy-weight Floor Impact Sound Reduction by Composition of Resilient Materials)

  • Resilient materials are generally used for the floating floors to reduce the floor impact sound. Dynamic stiffness of resilient material, which has the most to do with the floor impact sound reduction. The resilient materials available in Korea include EPS(styrofoam), recycled urethane types, EVA(ethylene vinylacetate) foam rubber, foam PE(polyethylene). glass fiber & rock wool, recycled tire, foam polypropylene. compressed polyester, and other synthetic materials. In this study, we tested dynamic stiffness of resilient material and floor impact sound reduction characteristic to a lot of kinds of resilient materials. It was found that dynamic stiffness of multi-layered damping material could be estimated if know value of each layer that compose whole structure. And the test showed that the amount of the heavy-weight impact sound reduction appeared by being influenced from this dynamic stiffness of resilient material. The dynamic stiffness looked like between other resilient materials, a similar to the amount of the heavy-weight impact sound reduction was shown.

철도레일 방진 체결장치의 진동 및 소음 저감 효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Vibration and Noise Reduction Effect of Railroad Vibration Isolator)

  • Vibration caused by railroad vehicle including subway train running raises a lot of problems to the neighboring buildings. Therefore lots of methods to isolate the railway vibration have been studied and practically applied to sites. As one of them, specially designed vibration isolation device was installed in the some section of Seoul subway. This device is installed between the rail and track slab. Because the process of installation is relatively simple, this method can be applied to the existing railways in servicing. We measured the vibration and noise to check the effectiveness of this device before and after the installation. The result showed that the vibration level of the slab and platform was reduced to 7 - 10 dB. Expecially high frequency component was reduced to a large amount. From this result, we can conclude that these kind of devices are useful to the reduction of the railroad vibration, expecially the high frequency vibration which can cause structure born noise.

  • Reduction of structure-borne noise of the compartment in a car is an important task in automotive engineering. Transfer path analysis using vibroacoustic reciprocity technique or multiple path decomposition method has generally been used for structure-borne noise path analysis. These methods are useful in solving particular problem but do not quantify the effectiveness of vibration isolation of each isolator of a vehicle. To quantify the effectiveness of vibration isolation, the vibrational power flow has been used for a simple isolation system or a laboratory based isolation system. It is often difficult to apply the vibrational power flow technique to the complex isolation system like a car. In this paper, a simple equation is derived for calculation of the vibrational power flow of an isolation system with multiple isolators such as a car. It is successfully applied to not only quantifying the relative contributions of eighteen isolators but also reducing structure-borne noise of a passenger car. According to the results, the main contributor of eighteen isolators is the rear roll mount of an engine. The reduced structure-borne noise level is about 5dBA.

  • 최근 자동차 산업의 연구개발의 핵심화두는 효율성 제고 및 NVH(Noise, Vibration, Harshness) 개선에 있다. 특히나 많은 부품들의 개발에 있어서 운전자의 운전 편의성을 높이는 성능적인 지표 외에도 운전자가 느끼는 소음, 이상 진동에 대한 감성성능에 대한 소비자의요구도 높아지고 있다. 이러한 경향에 맞추어 자동차 각 부분의 소음저감, 효율향상을 고려한 설계에 대한 연구가 활발해지고 있다. 많은 자동차 부품들에 모터가 사용되고 있으며, 특히 차량용 쿨링팬의 경우 모터를 사용하여 차량 운행 시 발행하는 (배터리의 온도를) 적절한 수준으로 유지시켜주거나 친환경 자동자차 배터리를 쿨링 하는 역할을 한다. 대다수의 쿨링팬 모터로 BLDC모터가 많이 사용되며 이는 전통적인 제어 방법인 구형파제어를 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 저전압 배터리의 전원을 사용하여 BLDC 쿨링팬을 안정적으로 구동할 수 있는 제어기를 개발하였고, 소음저감 및 높은 효율을 위하여 정현파로 제어하는 기법을 적용하였다. 개발된 시작품의 성능 시험을 통해 그 결과를 검증하였다.

진동저감 대책을 통한 절취면 보호 (Rock Surface Protection According to Decrease of Blasting Vibration)

  • 사면 절취 및 도심지 터파기 등 인공적으로 사면을 형성하는 경우 경제적이고 효율적인 공법으로 화약을 이용한 발파공법이 많이 사용되고 있다. 절취면 보호를 위해 대상 암반에 손상을 주지 않고 암반이 가지고 있는 자연적인 강도를 그대로 유지할 수 있도록 발파하는 것이 중요하며 사회적으로 문제 시 되는 발파공해를 고려하여 발파진동을 저감할 수 있는 공법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 평활한 절취면 형성을 위하여 도폭선에 폭약을 등간격으로 배치하고 장약의 방법과 전색의 방법을 달리하여 발파를 진행하였다. 4가지 패턴을 사용하여 총 60공에서 20회 발파를 실시하였으며 발파원으로부터 15~120m 거리에서 발파진동소음측정기를 사용하여 진동속도를 측정하여 310개의 데이터를 획득하였다. 측정된 진동속도 데이터를 분석하여 발파진동을 저감하고 효율적이고 경제적으로 절취면을 보호할 수 있는 방법을 연구해 보았다.

터널굴착 시 전자뇌관과 비전기뇌관 발파에 관한 비교 연구 (Study on comparison with electronic detonation blasting and non-electric detonation blasting)

  • 본 연구에서는 정밀한 초시설정이 가능한 전자뇌관을 이용하여 터널에서의 다단 시차 분할발파(OBM)를 실시하며 대형 대단면 지하 공간 창출 요구에 발맞추어 기존뇌관(비전기뇌관)과의 비교를 통해 진동 소음 저감효과와 시공성, 효율성을 비교 검토하자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 전자뇌관 적용 시 진동 소음 제어 및 비산거리, 여굴량, 파쇄입도가 비전기뇌관가 비교하여 양호한 결과를 나타냄을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, vibration reduction of resiliently mounted machinery and effect of the foundation impedance is studied. SBN (Structure-borne noise) reduction through the mount is analyzed by assuming that the system is modeled as a mass-spring system, while the impedance of the floor is included in the prediction. The comparison of the SBN difference through the mount between predictions and measurements show that the slopes are similar in the case of single-mount system, while the measurements differs significantly from the predictions in the case of the double-resilient system.

  • Floor coverings and Mats are for children are economical and has excellent workability, as well as they can reduce floor impact noise effective. "When these floorings contact to impact source, they are deformed and change impact force characteristics that strikes floor structure. It is important to measure the impact force spectrum of floorings in order to evaluate reduction of floor impact noise for floorings. In experimental test of floor impact noise and impact force for 14 PVC vinyl floor coverings and 16 mats for children, we confirmed that the impact force spectrum directly related to the floor impact noise spectrum.

방음벽 종류별 반사음 저감효과 및 회절효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Reduction Effect of Reflected Sound and Diffraction Effect by Types of Noise Barrier)

  • This study is to suggest the improved noise barrier which is harmonized with surrounding landscape and maintained the similar reduction of reflected sound and diffraction effects in comparison with the aluminum noise barrier of absorbing type which is formed a great majority in Korea. In this study the two improved models of noise barrier(Diffuse and Disperse type) were designed and compared with the noise barriers of absorbing type in the acoustics performance (the reduction of reflected sound and diffraction effects) through the field and full-scale experimental measurement. As these two models have the same acoustic performance as the noise barrier of aluminum absorbing type, it is suggested that these models can be applied to the improved noise barrier as an alteration of aluminum absorbing type barrier.
