Analysis of Vertical Vibration of a Passenger Car due to Road Excitation (노면가진을 받는 승용차의 진동해석)

  • 자동차는 주행시에 노면가진으로 인하여 진동을 받게 되는 데 이러한 진동 은 운전자의 승차감을 저하시킬 뿐만 아니라 화물과 차량 부품을 파손시키 는 원인이 되기도 한다. 노면가진력은 주로 현가장치를 통하여 차량에 전달 되어 차량의 진동을 유발하게 되므로 승차감을 향상시키려면 노면가진을 효 과적으로 차단할 수 있도록 현가장치를 설계하여야 한다. 이를 위하여 본 논 문에서는 차량을 현가장치의 형식에 따라 3가지 종류로 구분한 다음 각각을 12자유도로 모델링하여 노면이 불규칙(random)한 도로를 주행할 때의 승용 차의 진동을 해석하고, 현가스프링의 강성과 쇼크 압소바의 감쇠 값이 자체 수직 가속도 유효치(rms value)와 현가장치 유효행정(rms stroke length)에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 차량의 운동방정식은 현가장치의 비선형 특성을 고려하였기 때문에 미소 각 운동의 가정에도 불구하고 비선형 방정식이 된 다. 운동 방정식의 해는 4차 Runge-Kutta 적분법을 사용하여 수치해석으로 구하였다.

Effects of Foundation Stiffness on the Stability of Supercritical Driveshafts (고속 구동축의 지지부강성이 안정성에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper is to investigate the effects of support conditions on the whirling stability of a supercritical composite driveshaft. Two system parameters are rigorously considered: one is the bending stiffness of the support beam/bearings and the other is the rotating internal damping of the shaft. An analytic model is developed based on finite element methods and an eigenvalue analysis is employed to estimate the shaft stability under supercritical operating conditions. Results show that the internal damping causes the whirling instability at a supercritical speed, as demonstrated in other previous studies. However, the bending stiffness of the support beam is found to affect greatly the stability behaviors of a supercritical shaft and several combinations of the shaft/beam stiffness can be identified to guarantee the stable operation even in a supercritical region.

  • 복잡한 구조물의 동특성 해석은 수치 해석적인 방법과 실험적 방법 모두 단 순 구조물의 동특성 해석에 비해 정확도가 떨어지는 반면 계산시간과 노력 은 크게 증가하게 된다. 이 경우 구조물 전체를 여러개의 간단한 부분 구조 계로 부할하고, 각 부분 구조계에 대해서 해석후 그 결과들을 적절한 결합 조건하에서 다시 조합하여 전체 구조계에 대해 동특성 해석을 수행하거나, 고감쇠 처리된 구조물과 같이 고전적 이론 해석기법의 적용이 어려운 경우 실험적인 해석방법과 이론적인 해서방법을 혼합 사용할 수 있는 부분 구조 합성법(Substructural Synthesis Method)을 사용하는 것이 효과적이다. 부분 구조합성법은 1) 응답특성을 이용한 방법 2) 모우드 특성을 이용한 방법 3) 특성행렬을 이용한 방법 등이 있으며 본 연구에서는 부분 구조계 응답함수 로부터 직접 특성행렬을 산출하는 방법을 이용하여 전체 구조계의 동특성을 해석할 수 있는 부분 구조 합성법을 제시하였다.

  • The motion of a system composed of a plate, constant springs and varying dampers is considered when the system is subject to harmonic force. Letting the frequencies of harmonic force and damper variation $f_1\;and\;f_2$, respectively, the displacement at the center of the plate has the strongest component at frequency $f_1$. The angular displacement of the plate has strong components at $f_1-f_2$ and the natural frequency of the rotational mode of the system. If these two frequencies coincide, the plate oscillates with almost single frequency and a large amplitude. These results can be applied to development of a moment shaker with low frequencies.

  • Active vibration control of laminated composite plates has been carried out to design structure with maximum possible damping capacity, using piezoceramic sensor/actuators and passive constrained-layer damping treatment. The equations of motion are derived for symmetrical, multi-layer laminated plates. The damping ratio(ζ) and modal damping(2ζ$\omega$) of the first bending and torsional modes are calculated by means of iterative complex eigensolution method for both passive and active vibration control. This paper addresses a design strategy of laminated composite plate under structural vibrations.

  • In this paper, stress wave propagation characteristics of MR(Magneto-rheological) inserts are experimentally investigated. Generally, stress waves of structures such as warships or submarines are induced by shock waves from underwater explosion. Their fatal effects on the shipboard equipments or structures damage the performance of warships. But, such a problem can be solved by controlling the stress waves propagating through structures by means of MR inserts. MR insert consists of two aluminum layers and MR fluid filled in between. Two piezoceramic disks are embedded on the host plate as a transmitter and a receiver of stress waves. Pulse waves are generated by the transmitter and they reach to the receiver through the MR insert. Permanent magnet and magnetic coil are used to produce magnetic field at the MR insert. In the presence of magnetic field, MR particles are arranged in chains parallel to the magnetic field such that the transmitted stress waves are reduced. Attenuation of stress waves is experimentally investigated.

  • An analytical model for the lateral vibration of beams with a bonded lap joint and partial layered dampers has been proposed in this paper. Both shear and normal forces acting along the interface between the elastic and viscoelastic layers were considered in the vibration analysis. Analytical results were compared with those obtained by a finite element method. Effects of the size and location of layers in partial dampers on system loss factor($\eta_s$) and resonant frequency($\omega_r$) were studied. which showed that partial dampers adhered to the site exhibiting the maximum amplitude of vibration were most influential in the increase of $\eta_s$ and the decrease of $\omega_r$. Specific system loss factor( $\eta_s$ divided by total mass of system) was also evaluated in the analysis.

  • This paper presents response property of the squeeze mode type mount using Magneto-Rheological fluid (MR fluid) . The MR mount for the isolation of multi-directional vibrations was constructed in this study. Both the mechanism and shape of the mount are the same as squeeze film dampers for a rotor system. In the present work, the performance of the mount was experimentally Investigated according to the magnetic field strength. The experimental results present that the MR mount can effectively reduce the vibration in a wide range of frequency by controlling the applied electromagnetic filed strength. Viscous damping and stiffness coefficients of the MR mount tend to be changed according to the variation of the applied currents In this study.

  • 현재까지 고주파수 진동해석에 가장 많이 쓰이는 방법은 통계적 에너지 해석법 (SEA)이다. 그러나 SEA는 많은 가정을 사용하고 있고 시간 및 공간 평균된 에너지 값을 사용하기 때문에 결과에서 알아낼 수 있는 정보가 제한된다. 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위하여 진동 전도 해석법(VCA)이나 파동 인텐시티기법 (WIA)등이 제안되었고, 기하음향학의 한 방법인 레이 추적 기법 (RTM)도 구조음향학에 적용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 레이 추적 기법을 이용하여 오일러-베르누이 보 이론에 근거한 고정단-자유단 경계조건을 가지는 단일 곡보의 진동 해석을 수행하였다. 예제를 통한 해석 결과, 주파수가 높을수록, 또 감쇠가 클수록 더 정확한 결과를 예측할 수 있음을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 따라서 기존 해석법들의 가정에 적합하지 않은 구조물에 적용할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Propagation Characteristics of Road Vibration Generated from Vehicles (차량통행으로 발생하는 도로진동의 전파특성)

  • Ground vibrations induced from road were investigated to get the basic data that can be used to prepare countermeasures for environmental vibration problems. Vibration levels were measured simultaneously at three points in double distances from road. These data were analyzed with the type of vehicles. roads, media to understand the magnitudes and characteristics of distance attenuation of road vibrations. Vibration levels recorded on tapes were analyzed to understand the characteristics of frequency of road vibration. The range which could be influenced by the road vibration was estimated to take into account the mean of$L_{max}$ and distance attenuation of vibration level 5 m from roadside.
