Project Schedule Notification and Issue Tracking System Based on Social Networking Service on a Smartphone (스마트폰 상에서 프로젝트 관리를 위한 소셜 네트워킹 서비스 기반의 일정 통지 및 이슈추적 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel project schedule notification and issue tracking system based on a social networking service for project management on a smartphone. The proposed system has a server subsystem and a client subsystem. The server is in charge of enabling a deadline notification and an issue tracking of the project to project participants by exploiting a legacy social networking service. The client running on a smartphone displays timelines of the project schedule using Gantt chart and let the project participant edit their schedule. The proposed system combines the mobility of smartphones and the connectivity of social networking services and apply them to schedule notification and issue tracking, which demonstrates a novel usage of social networking services.

  • For real-time social networking service, mobile interaction in a usable-unified-ubiquitous (U3) web service was studied. Both as a convenient mobile HCI for real-time social networks and as indexing keys to metadata information in ubiquitous web service, the multi-lingual single-character domain names (e.g. 김.net, 이.net, 가.net, ㄱ.net, ㄴ.net, ㅎ.net, ㅏ.net, ㅔ.net, ㄱ.com, ㅎ.com) are convenient mobile interfaces when searching for social information and registering information. We introduce the sketched design goals and experience of mobile interaction in Korea, Japan and China, with the implementation of real-time social networking service as an example of U3 Web service. We also introduce the possibility of extending the application to the metadata directory service in IP-USN (IP-based Ubiquitous Sensor Network) for a unified information management in the service of social networking and sensor networking.

  • Recently not only industry but also academy have shown an intense interest in social networking service. However, reckless imitation will not guarantee the successful eco-system of social networking service without rich understanding of growth driver and business model. Hence, this study aims at analyzing open platform strategy and business model conducted by a representative social networking service provider in order to provide platform operator, network operator, and portal provider with meaningful implications. Advertisers may pay great attention to social networking service because it has strong ability to provide users with spontaneous motivation to manage and update their profile, and these valuable information can be utilized for providing personalized advertisement on social networking service. As a result, one side of consumers in two side market, advertisers, tend to pay more expenditure to place advertisements. In addition, the open platform adopted by social networking service providers causes pro-sumers to participate in the eco-system, and thereby the explosive quantitative growth is realized. The fact of that this open social networking service can invade other web service area via an unified platform indicates that it may expand its service scope into a wide variety of web service areas. Hence, domestic portal services providers and network providers should consider social networking service not as one of new web services but as an disruptive service platform. Corresponding to the emergence of social networking service, especially if their business area is related to display advertising market, they should seek a way to provide social networking service access users's newly updated information and develop innovative media technologies to enter context awareness ads market.

  • 최근 소셜 네트워킹 관련 서비스의 다양화와 지속적인 사용자 증가로 인해, 기존의 서버 중앙화 방식은 사용자 증가에 따른 유지비용 부담과 프라이버시 측면에서도 보안 위험성을 안고 있다. 본 논문은 위 문제의 해결 방안으로 소셜 네트워킹의 특징인 인맥으로 구조화된 p2p 시스템을 제안한다. 우리는 p2p의 기본기능인 룩업(lookup) 프로토콜을 기존의 방식과는 다르게 데이터 맵핑 범위를 친구관계로 연관된 그룹 내로 한정시키는 방식을 사용한다. 이를 통해 자신과 실제로 관련 있는 친구들에게만 저장함으로 보안성을 향상시켰으며 p2p의 장점을 얻을 수 있었다. 마지막으로 성능 분석을 통하여 p2p기반의 소셜 네트워킹 서비스의 실제 구현 가능성을 평가한 결과, 사용자당 친구 수가 시스템 성능의 변수임을 확인하였다.

  • Online social networking services help people to migrate social networks from offline to online. Twitter, which has achieved incredible growth, showed that an online social networking service without offline bases can become large and successful. In this paper, we propose a twitter friend notification service using user‘s twitter messages and place recognizing technology. When there is a friend in user‘s nearby place, the service notifies the information to the users. Through the friend notification service, a user can easily extend his online social network to offline.

  • 현재 우리나라의 오픈마켓은 저가 구조로 수익과 성장에 한계를 맞고 있지만 이미 외국에서는 소셜 네트워크를 중심으로 소셜 쇼핑이 소비자 주도의 쇼핑몰로 인기를 얻고 있으며 새로운 쇼핑몰 형태로 각광받고 있다. 소셜쇼핑은 블로그나 커뮤니티와 같은 사회적 네트워킹 서비스를 기반으로 어떤 특정 인터넷 쇼핑몰에 구애됨 없이 다양한 상품을 각 개인이 퍼 오거나 게시하고 이에 대한 상품평과 사용후기를 개인 블로그나 커뮤니티에 올리거나 올리게 하여 거래가 일어나도록 하는 전자상거래 방식이다. 소셜 쇼핑은 사람/정보/쇼핑 검색이 가능하고 블로그나 커뮤니티를 통한 정보 공유가 가능하며 타 판매 사이트로부터 쇼핑 구매도 가능하다. 소셜 쇼핑은 또 하나의 플랫폼을 제공하며 다양한 판매자, 소비자, 광고주 등과 제휴가 가능하고 네트워킹이 가능하기 때문에 변화하는 소비자들의 특성을 반영하고 수익의 한계를 돌파하기 위한 진정한 web 2.0 쇼핑형태로써 발전 가능성이 크다.

  • 페이스북이나 트위터 같은 소셜 네트워킹은 최근 몇 년간 큰 인기를 얻고 있다. 매우 많은 사용자가 엄청난 양의 정보를 네트워크상에서 주고받기 때문에, 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 악의적인 사용자들에게는 유용한 공격수단이 될 수 있다. 많은 서비스 제공업체들이 그러한 취약점을 보완하기 위해서 노력을 하지만, 다양한 공격방법들이 새롭게 개발되면서 여전히 소셜 네트워크 서비스 사용자들을 위협하고 있다. 따라서 본 고에서는 온라인 소셜 네트워크에서의 프라이버시 및 보안 이슈를 점검해 보고자 한다.

  • Social collaboration and knowledge sharing among experts are the key characteristics of information system development projects. But the difficulty and complexity of communication may be the cause of the project failures. This study analyzes the influence of on-line social networking as communication system in information system development projects. A model has been developed to relate system, knowledge and social factors of on-line social networking to the performance of project members. Transactive Memory System (TMS), describing knowledge sharing process in human relationship, is used as a mediator. The analysis concludes that knowledge and social characteristics have positive effect on the members' performance, implying that the use of mobile devices and PCs as a social communication tool can be an effective way to enhance the possibility of project success.

  • In recent years, micro-blogging services such as 'Twitter' and 'Me2day' have rapidly become major social networking services. However, it is difficult to grasp the relationship between a user and his/her friends in these micro-blogging services because they simply list messages between them in chronological order. In this paper, we propose a visual analytics system that can help the user intuitively understand relationships with their friends on micro-blogging services by enabling them to analyze the messages quantitatively, qualitatively and temporally. In the visual analytics system, we also present a tool to provide the user with valuable advices after classifying the changing relation patterns with his/her friends, which in turn contributes to improving relationships with friends. The proposed system was successfully implemented as smartphone applications to show its potential to be a tool for analyses and improvement of social relations in micro-blogging services.

  • NFC represents the 2nd generation of the proximity contact-less technology, which beyond the RFID, supports peer-to-peer communication, and enables consumer access to aggregated services, anytime, anywhere, with any type of consumer stationary and mobile devices. NFC is a short range device wireless technology designed to exchange data, initiate connections with other wireless networks and act as a secured smart key for access to services such as cashless payment, ticketing, on-line entertainment and access control. In this paper, the NFC services for social networking applications are studied, and the signal flow of SNS application based on NFC P2P for smart devices and server model is proposed.
