Smart grid that supports efficient energy production and management is used in various fields and industries. However, because of the environment in which services are provided through open networks, it is essential to resolve trust issues regarding security vulnerabilities and privacy preservation. In particular, the identification information of smart meter is managed by a centralized server, which makes it vulnerable to security attacks such as device stolen, data forgery, alteration, and deletion. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a blockchain based authentication protocol for a smart meter. The proposed scheme issues an unique decentralized identifiers (DIDs) for individual smart meter through blockchain and utilizes a random values based on physical unclonable function (PUF) to strengthen the integrity and reliability of data. In addition, we analyze the security of the proposed scheme using informal security analysis and AVISPA simulation, and show the efficiency of the proposed scheme by comparing with related work.
The Energy Storage System stores electricity for later use. This system can store electricity from legacy electric power systems or renewable energy systems into a battery device when demand is low. When there is high electricity demand, it uses the electricity previously stored and enables efficient energy usage and stable operation of the electric power system. It increases the energy usage efficiency, stabilizes the power supply system, and increases the utilization of renewable energy. The recent increase in the global interest for efficient energy consumption has increased the need for an energy storage system that can satisfy both the consumers' demand for stable power supply and the suppliers' demand for power demand normalization. In general, an energy storage system consists of a Power Conditioning System, a Battery Management System, a battery cell and peripheral devices. The specifications of the subsystems that form the energy storage system are manufacturer dependent. Since the core component interfaces are not standardized, there are difficulties in forming and operating the energy storage system. In this paper, the design of the profile structure for energy storage system and realization of private profiling system for energy storage system is presented. The profiling system accommodates diverse component settings that are manufacturer dependent and information needed for effective operation. The settings and operation information of various PCSs, BMSs, battery cells, and other peripheral device are analyzed to define profile specification and structure. A profile adapter software that can be applied to energy storage system is designed and implemented. The profiles for energy storage system generated by the profile authoring tool consist of a settings profile and operation profile. Setting profile consists of configuration information for energy device what composes energy saving system. To be more specific, setting profile has three parts of category as information for electric control module, sub system, and interface for communication between electric devices. Operation profile includes information in relation to the method in which controls Energy Storage system. The profiles are based on standard XML specification to accommodate future extensions. The profile system has been verified by applying it to an energy storage system and testing charge and discharge operations.

White light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are more economical than fluorescent lights, and provide high brightness, a high lifetime expectancy, and greater durability. As LEDs are closely connected with people's daily lives, dimming control of LED is an important component in providing energy savings and improving quality of life. In visible light communications systems using these LEDs, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology has attracted a lot of attention, in that it can attain the channel capacity in proportion to the number of antennas. This paper analyzes the power performance of three kinds of modulation in visible light communications (VLC) systems applied space-time block code (STBC) techniques. The modulation schemes are return-to-zero on-off keying (RZ-OOK), variable pulse position modulation (VPPM), and overlapping pulse position modulation (OPPM), and dimming control was applied. The power requirements and power consumption were used as metrics to compare the power efficiency in $2{\times}2$ STBC-VLC environments under the three kinds of modulation. We confirm that dimming control affects the communications performance of each modulation scheme. VPPM showed greater consumption among the three modulations, and OPPM showed energy savings comparable to VPPM.

A program consumes energy by executing its instructions. The amount of cosumed power is mainly proportional to algorithm complexity and it can be calculated by using complexity information. Generally, the complexity of a S/W is estimated by the microprocessor simulator. But, the simulation takes long time why the simulator is a software modeled the hardware and it only provides the information about computational complexity quantitatively. In this paper, we propose a complexity estimation method of analysis of S/W on source code level and produce the complexity metric mathematically. The function-wise complexity metrics give the detailed information about the calculation-concentrated location in function. The performance of the proposed method is compared with the result of the gate-level microprocessor simulator 'SimpleScalar'. The used softwares for performance test are $4{\times}4$ integer transform, intra-prediction and motion estimation in the latest video codec, H.264/AVC. The number of executed instructions are used to estimate quantitatively and it appears about 11.6%, 9.6% and 3.5% of error respectively in contradistinction to the result of SimpleScalar.

In mobile healthcare applications, the reliable transmission of the bio-data is very important. In this article, we present a reliable bio-data transmission technique for mobile healthcare monitoring service at 6LoWPAN multi-hop wireless networks. In particular, we expand IEEE 11073-20601 protocol, and propose the reliable path construction for 6LoWPAN aimed to reliably provide mobile healthcare service over wireless sensor network, using IPv6 network. 6LoWPAN is recognized possibility because it is agree with sensor network by raising Adaptation layer on the MAC layer to transmit IPv6 packets. In this article proposed minimize the algorithm complexity and reliability routing protocol because the 6LoWPAN devices are suitable for low cost, small size and battery that can be used to health care system environment. And detailed procedures and algorithms are presented. We the proposed method to prove the superiority of using NS-3 for compareing with AODV protocol.
In the high performance Analog Information Processing Systems(AIPS), gain boosting or additional gain stage is required when the gain is not sufficient with one stage amplification. This work shows that high gain is neatly obtained by enhancing the gain using the negative resistance element. Compared to the conventional techniques, the proposed scheme enjoys full output swing, small circuit area and power consumption, and the applications to various configurations of amplifiers. The negative resistance element is placed between the differential output nodes when used in the Op-Amp. The HSPICE simulation indicates that enhancement of more than 40 dB is readily obtained in this simple configuration when the negative resistance element is implemented in the form of cross-coupled CMOS inverters.

RFID is application field is very wide. For example, There is parking administration system, bookkeeper administration system etc. Such application system must do priority Carrier wave choice according to application purpose. If in case of Carrier frequency is low, awareness distance is short and Carrier frequency is high, awareness distance is very long. This uses in case awareness object is fast-moving. And it must be Tag's supply and demand's that is smooth. Even if development of system is completed, if Tag's purchase is difficult, developing item is not need. In this paper, we shows RFID system using EM4095 chip that is using 125KHz by carrier wave. EM4095 is high effectiveness chip of the low-power and circuit is very simple. It is possible to read with being write as that connect 4 lines with MCU. MCU used Atmega128. As result, we explained circuit and control programs for each part, and show Tag's ID reception that use Reader by picture.

Internet data for IoT(Internet of Things) period was changed in such a way that the data is done by sharing information for the user. However, in the existing system IoT environment for the user to utilize the system it has a problem does not take into account the individual characteristics. And there must be an intermediate vectors are capable of controlling problems such as Dongle. In this paper, through the flow sensor control applications as a way to solve this problem to control the flow of the sensor according to the characteristics desired by the user. Due to this makes it possible to easily manage the sensor compared to conventional IoT environment. Accordingly, the user must manage the sensor through the application regardless of time and place. So it is believed to reduce the unnecessary power consumption is possible effective control sensor.

A main application of sensor networks are to monitor and to send information about a possibly hostile environment to a powerful base station connected to a wired network. To conserve power from each sensor, intermediate network nodes should aggregate results from individual sensors. However, it can make it that a single compromised sensor can render the network useless, or worse, mislead the operator into trusting a false reading. In this paper, we propose a protocol to give us a key aggregation mechanism that intermediate network nodes could aggregate data more safely. The proposed protocol is more helpful at multi-tier network architecture in secure sessions established between sensor nodes and gateways. From simulation study, we compare the amount of the energy consumption overhead, the time of key transmission and the ratio of of key process between the proposed method and LHA-SP. The simulation result of proposed protocol is low 3.5% a lord of energy consumption than LHA-SP, the time of key transmission and the ration of key process is get improved result of each 0.3% and 0.6% than LHA-SP.
The sensor nodes in underwater IoT networks have practical limitations in power supply. Thus, the reduction of power consumption is one of the most important issues in underwater environments. In this regard, AMC(Adaptive Modulation and Coding) techniques are used by using the relation between SNR and BER. However, according to our hands-on experience, we observed that the relation between SNR and BER is not that tight in underwater environments. Therefore, we propose a deep learning based MLP classification model to reflect multiple underwater channel parameters at the same time. It correctly predicts BER with a high accuracy of 85.2%. The proposed model can choose the best parameters to have the highest throughput. Simulation results show that the throughput can be enhanced by 4.4 times higher than the conventionally measured results.
