A Study on the Relationship between University Adaptation, Self-Leadership, Learning Commitment, and Career Adaptation (대학생의 대학생활적응, 셀프리더십, 학습몰입, 진로적응성 간의 관계에 관한 융합연구)

  • In this study, we examined the effects of University adaptation on career adaptation through self-leadership and learning commitment, and identified the regulatory effects of demographic characteristics (sex, grade, grade level, and willingness to work). To this end, we analyzed the data for 289 college students. The results of the study are as follows. First, adaptation to University life has a significant impact on learning commitment and self-leadership. However, adaptation to University life has an indirect effect on learning commitment and self-leadership rather than directly affecting career adaptation. Second, demographic characteristics have a regulatory effect on the path through which University adaptation affects career adaptation through self-leadership and learning commitment. The factors that were regulated were age, grade, and willingness to work. Therefore, in order to adapt to university life and adapt to career, we developed a program to improve self-leadership and learning commitment, and suggested that customized guidance is needed considering the differences in personal characteristics such as gender and academic background in university life and career counseling.

Adaptation Resilience in Relation to Parenting Stress for Mothers with Children of Developmental Disabilities (학령 전 발달장애아 어머니의 적응유연성과 양육스트레스의 관계)

  • The following research is based on a strengths perspective for analyzing the effects of adaptation resilience on parenting stress. The subject were 170mothers whose children have developmental disabilities and attend pre-school and social welfare centers for early education. The results were following: 1) The order of dimensional scores from highest to lowest were social resources, structuralization of personality, social achievement, personal strengths, perception of future, strength of family cohesion. 2) The parenting stress of the subjects came out to be lower than average scoring 2.71 out of 5. Dimensionally, grief of parents came out to be the highest. 3) Adaptation resilience and parenting stress for subjects exhibited a negative correlation. Within adaptation resilience, the dimensions of perception of future, personal strengths, social resources came out to be factors that have significant effects on parenting stress. 4) factors relating to the mother's adaptation resilience were more important than general characteristics belonging to handicapped children and their mothers for the purpose of explaining and predicting parenting stress.

Influence of Emotional Awareness, Emotional Expressiveness, and Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness on College Student Adjustment in Freshman Nursing Students (간호대학신입생의 정서인식, 정서표현, 정서표현양면성이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was done to investigate emotional awareness, emotional expressiveness, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness, and college student adjustment, to analyze the factor affecting college student adjustment. The subjects were 159 freshman nursing students. Data were collected through structured questionnaires from May 20 to June 10, 2012. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with SPSS WIN v 18.0. Positive correlation were found between college student adjustment and mood monitoring as well as mood labeling. On the other hand, ambivalence over positive emotional expressiveness and ambivalence over negative emotional expressiveness were significantly negative correlation with college student adjustment. In addition, mood monitoring, ambivalence over positive emotional expressiveness, mood labeling, and ambivalence over negative emotional expressiveness accounted for 31.8% of variance in college student adjustment. The results of this study suggest that programs for promoting emotional awareness and reducing ambivalence over emotional expressiveness are important for college adjustment in freshman nursing students.

A Usability Evaluation of Adaptive Split, Adaptive Style, and Adaptable Menus for Desktop PCs (데스크탑 PC를 위한 적응형 메뉴의 사용성 비교 평가)

  • 본 연구는 데스크탑 PC 환경에서 사용될 수 있는 다양한 적응형 메뉴 인터페이스의 사용성을 평가한다. 선택 빈도에 따라 자동으로 변화하는 2가지 방식의 Adaptive menu와 사용자가 메뉴 내에서 원하는 항목의 위치를 직접 변경하는 Adaptable menu의 사용성을 일반적으로 많이 이용되는 Traditional menu와 비교하기 위해 사용자를 동원한 평가 실험을 수행하였다. Adaptive menu에는 선택 빈도가 높은 메뉴 항목이 메뉴의 상단으로 이동하는 Adaptive split menu와 자주 선택되는 항목이 굵은 글씨로 표현되는 Adaptive style menu가 포함된다. 각 방식의 적응형 메뉴가 자주 선택되는 메뉴 항목의 변화에 따라 얼마나 민감하게 영향을 받는지 비교하기 위해, 두 개의 각기 다른 선택 빈도 분포가 이용되었다. 각 실험 조건 별로 사용자가 메뉴 항목을 선택하는 데 걸린 시간과 오류 회수를 측정하였으며, 피실험자로 하여금 시인성, 효율성, 전반적 선호도 등의 주관적인 만족도를 평가하도록 하였다. 각각의 종속 변수들은 분산 분석(ANOVA), Chi-square test, Friedman test 등의 기법을 이용해 분석되었다. 분석 결과, Adaptable menu가 다른 방식의 메뉴들에 비해 수행도와 만족도 모두 높은 것으로 나타났으며, Adaptive split menu는 상대적으로 현실적인 조건 하에서 큰 효용을 갖지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. Adaptive style menu는 수행도 측면에서는 일반적인 메뉴와 큰 차이가 없었지만, 자주 선택되는 항목을 쉽게 파악할 수 있게 해 주고, 선택 빈도의 변화에도 민감하지 않기 때문에 사용자들에게 선호되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 데스크탑 PC의 적응형 메뉴 설계에 대한 이용될 수 있으며, 추후 휴대용 정보기기의 적응형 메뉴에 대한 사용성 연구의 기초 자료로도 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Topic-Specific Mobile Web Contents Adaptation (주제기반 모바일 웹 콘텐츠 적응화)

  • Mobile content adaptation is a technology of effectively representing the contents originally built for the desktop PC on wireless mobile devices. Previous approaches for Web content adaptation are mostly device-dependent. Also, the content transformation to suit to a smaller device is done manually. Furthermore, the same contents are provided to different users regardless of their individual preferences. As a result, the user has difficulty in selecting relevant information from a heavy volume of contents since the context information related to the content is not provided. To resolve these problems, this paper proposes an enhanced method of Web content adaptation for mobile devices. In our system, the process of Web content adaptation consists of 4 stages including block filtering, block title extraction, block content summarization, and personalization through learning. Learning is initiated when the user selects the full content menu from the content summary page. As a result of learning, personalization is realized by showing the information for the relevant block at the top of the content list. A series of experiments are performed to evaluate the content adaptation for a number of Web sites including online newspapers. The results of evaluation are satisfactory, both in block filtering accuracy and in user satisfaction by personalization.

The Relationship Between Elementary School Students' Family Health and Internet Addiction: School Adjustment as a Mediating Variable (초등학생의 가족건강성과 인터넷 중독 간의 관계 : 학교적응을 매개변인으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among three factors such as the family health, school adjustment and internet addiction, and their subordinated factors. The research is going to clarify if school adjustment has mediating effect in the relationship between the family health and internet addiction. 371 of elementary school students resideing in Dadjeon-city completed questionnaires assessing family health, school adjustment and internet addiction. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 20.0, the mazimum likelihood minimization function. The goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. The results are as follows: First, there were significant correlations among family health, school adjustment and internet addiction. Second, the subordinated factors in the family health, school adjustment, and internet addiction regulation are also closely related in the statistically significant positive relationship excepting school adjustment. After conducting the Covariance Structure Analysis to verify the mediating effect of school adjustment in the relationship between the family health and internet addiction, we found that it was appropriate to explain our findings with the structural equation model. when the family health has an effect on internet addiction, the school adjustment partially influences this process. Finally, educational implications and suggestions for future studies are addressed.

The Relationship Between Social Stigma and Psychosocial Adjustment in Out-of-School Youth: The Moderating Effects of Self-concept Clarity (학교 밖 청소년의 사회적 낙인과 심리사회적 적응 간의 관계: 자기개념 명확성의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of social stigma on psychosocial adjustment in out-of-school youth and the moderating effects of self-concept clarity on the relationship between social stigma and psychosocial adjustment. The subjects in this study were out-of-school youth who resided in the city of Busan, on whom a survey was conducted. The findings of the study were as follows: First, social stigma was found to have exercised a negative influence on self-concept clarity. Second, social stigma was found to have exercised a negative influence on psychosocial adjustment. Third, self-concept clarity was found to have exercised a negative influence on psychosocial adjustment. Fourth, self-concept clarity was found to have had moderating effects on the relationship between social stigma and psychosocial adjustment. This study is of significance in that it attempted to seek ways of improving the psychosocial adjustment of out-of-school youth and urged offering counseling intervention geared toward boosting self-concept clarity by analyzing the moderating effects of self-concept clarity on the relationship between social stigma and psychosocial adjustment.

The Multisignal Improvement of Adaptive Receiver using Adaptive Back-Propagation Algorithm (적응 역전파 알고리즘을 이용한 적응 수신기의 다중 신호 개선)

  • 이동 통신에서 제한된 대역폭 채널에 내부 심볼 간섭을 감소시키기 위해, 등화기 기법을 필요로한다. 채널간의 비선형 왜곡을 효율적으로 다루는 대안을 가진 신경망을 사용하여 새로운 활성 함수로 구성된 적응 역전파 알고리즘을 연구한다. 신경망은 적응 역전파 알고리즘을 통해 신호를 복조하도록 학습한다. 특히 수정된 적응 역전파 알고리즘이 근접된 최적 수행성을 갖는 단일 및 다중 사용자 검출을 위한 샘플링 기법은 다중 사용자 환경에서 필요한 수신기들의 수행성을 평가하기 위한 시뮬레이션을 위하여 사용이 된다. 채널간의 비선형 왜곡에 효율적으로 다루기 위한 대안을 가진 신경망을 적용하여 본 논문에서 는 새로운 활성 함수로 구성된 적응 역전파 알고리즘을 제안하고, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해서 분석된다. 반복적 최소 평균 자승(RLS) 알고리즘을 적용한 기존 수신기 및 적응 역전파 신경망과 비교하여, 채널 왜곡이 비선형 일 때에 비트 에러율(BER)이 현저하게 개선됨을 나타낸다. 적응 역전파 알고리즘 기법을 통해 기존 수신기와 신경망을 사용한 수신기의 수행을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교 분석하여 제안된 신경망 수신기의 성능이 우수함을 인증한다.
