Animation films form a substantial part of pop culture and depict the sociocultural changes and values of the time in which they are made through visual expression of story and characters. In the process of appreciating animation films and accepting the characters, the audience learns the gender role behaviors that appear in the works as socially acceptable representations of men and women. This study illustrates whether the expression of gender role and behaviors of characters from animation films have changed over time or not by analyzing the costume and gestures of the female protagonists in 'Mulan', 'Tangled', 'Moana', and 'Frozen 2'. These films are considered to reflect the modern female identity on their story and characters. The study confirms that the stereotypical gestures and behaviors of women are still used today to portray the female protagonists in the animation films contrary to the story composition and various aspects of characters which escaped the formal stereotype. It is important for children and adolescents, the main consumers of animation, to learn and know how to consume media properly. Thus, this study seeks to illuminate the importance of research on animation literacy eduction for children and adolescents by examining the visual expressions and their implications in various animation films.

기대효과란 행동이 시작하기 전에 반대반향으로 일어나는 행동을 위한 준비단계로 주로 이차원 애니메이션에서 행동을 강조하기 위해 사용되어 왔다. 본 논문은 영상을 매개로 하여 인식기반의 기대효과를 자동 생성함으로써 시청자의 주의를 임의의 정보에 집중시키는 방법을 제안한다. 이미지 기반의 집중점을 찾는 문제와 영상 속의 움직임을 찾는 방법을 바탕으로 집중성 강화 알고리즘을 역으로 풀어 기대효과를 생성하는 방법을 제시한다. 주요점에 정보를 반대로 약화시키는 기대효과를 통해 주요점을 더욱 역동적으로 강조 할 수 있다. 본 논문의 알고리즘을 통해 광고 등의 전보전달을 위한 영상 또는 역동적 표현이 필요한 영상의 보정이 가능해진다.

The purpose of this study was to test the effect of socially-perfectionism on depression by mediating ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and experiential avoidance. For this purpose, 201 participants across the country conducted the survey, a measure of MPS, AEQ-K, AAQ-II, CES-D. The descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, path coefficient were conducted using SPSS 23.0. The indirect effect was examined using bootstrap in PROCESS Macro. The results of the study are as follows. First, all the variables had meaningful positive correlations. Secondly, When socially-perfectionism affects depression, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness, and experiential avoidance were mediated. As a result, the implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

Anticipation effect has been used as a traditional skill to enhance the dynamic motion of the traditional 2D animation. Basically, anticipation means the action of opposite direction which performs before the real action step. In this paper, we propose the perception-based video anticipation method to guide a user's visual attention to the important region. Using the image based attention map, we calculate the visual attention region and then combine this map with temporal saliency of video. We apply the anticipation effect in these saliency regions using the blur kernel. Using our method, we can generate the dynamic video motion which has attentive guidance.

The purpose of this case study was to construct a social context-based musical play program for children with high-functioning Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) and to examine its applicability in improving the social skills of the children. The participants were a group of three children with high-functioning ASD with an average age of 9 years. The children participated as a group in 40-minute sessions that were implemented twice a week for 8 weeks. The children's social communication behaviors were observed during the sessions and analyzed in terms of sharing and exchanging their ideas and voluntarily interacting with peers and an adult (i.e., the researcher). The Social Skills Rating System (SSRS) was completed by the teachers of participants before and after the intervention. For all three participants, the occurrence of behaviors to exchange their ideas with peers and voluntarily interacting with an adult increased following the intervention. However, there were individual differences between the participants in terms of changes in each target behavior depending on their level of language and social skill development. These results suggest that social context-based musical play program may produce positive changes in voluntary communication with peers and play a significant role in expanding the scope of interventions that target the social communication of children with ASD.

Artificial Organism-used application areas are expanding at a break-neck speed with a view to getting things done in a dynamic and Informal environment. A use of general programming or traditional hi methods as the representation of Artificial Organism behavior knowledge in these areas can cause problems related to frequent modifications and bad response in an unpredictable situation. Strategies aimed at solving these problems in a machine-learning fashion includes Genetic Programming and Evolving Neural Networks. But the learning method of Artificial-Organism is not good yet, and can't represent life in the environment. With this in mind, this research is designed to come up with a new behavior evolution model. The model represents behavior knowledge with Classification Rules and Enhanced Backpropation Neural Networks and discriminate the denomination. To evaluate the model, the researcher applied it to problems with the competition of Artificial-Organism in the Simulator and compared with other system. The survey shows that the model prevails in terms of the speed and Qualify of learning. The model is characterized by the simultaneous learning of classification rules and neural networks represented on chromosomes with the help of Genetic Algorithm and the consolidation of learning ability caused by the hybrid processing of the classification rules and Enhanced Backpropagation Neural Network.

Music has a vital meaning in peoples' lives, mostly as a communication medium for thoughts and feelings. Because music is nonthreatening and nonjudgmental, its viability works for everyone. The purpose of this research is firstly to compare the effectiveness of existing social rehabilitation program and music integrated social rehabilitation program for people with mental retardation. Secondly, the study purported to find out if the music integrated social rehabilitation program was effective, then how various musical activities can assist communication and expression, and further assist social interactions among the people with mental retardation. The data were collected using Emotions Assessment Tool, Social Skills Assessment, and Skills development in Music were used. Also, verbal contents, voices, gestures, nonverbal expressions were observed and analyzed. As the result, it is shown that the music integrated social rehabilitation program has enhanced communicative and expressive skills of adults with mental retardation, and further improved social interactive skills. This implies that music had positive effects to the mental patients on their social relationship activities, than the program without music integration. The results support previous findings that music can be an effective communicative and expression tool.

Gender sensitivity is a concept needs to be substantially count since early childhood when a child starts understanding and developing their gender role. As such UNESCO published the guideline on Comprehensive Sexuality Education(CSE) guidelines. In Korea, the Ministry of Women and Family selected the book called 'Nadaum children's book' in order to support children to better develop the gender sensitivity in their early childhood. This study aims for qualitative research on 101 books for low-grade children of Nadaum Children's Books. Content analysis and theme analysis were conducted based on UNESCO's CSE guidelines. This is to analyze the frequency rate of the CSE concepts and how the value of gender sensitivity is described throughout the books. The results shows that 'family member' and 'value of tolerance' were most frequently appeared while 'puberty' and 'sex and health' were not included. In addition, the results of theme analysis showed that this book well described the activities pursuing the value of gender sensitivity as well as process of being materialized it.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the images of children and adults that is reflected in TV commercial advertisements. For this purpose, 241 public TV advertisements were collected from the domestic ads information sites. The analysis criteria used for this study was the one modified from the ads analysis tool developed by Young-hee Ha(2011). The results showed that the number of ads employing the child model was varied according to the product item. The child model appeared the most in the ads for food/beverage and secondly, the ones for computer/electric home appliances. Furthermore, the child model behaved very similarly to the adults in the ads, especially in the aspect of positive communication. And both adult and a child models tended to have the main role in ads. Regarding the relationships among model characters, cooperative relationship between an adult and a child appeared the most and there were lots of family relationships. The results imply that a child in our society is becoming a considerable family member referred for making decision in purchasing commercial products. In addition, it is discussed that the child's image reflected in the ads would have influence on a child viewer's self image.
