  • The purpose of this study is to explore the role and effectiveness of argumentation structure and the developmental characteristics of science PCK with Earth science preservice teachers who used argumentation structure as a pedagogical reasoning tool. Since teachers demonstrate PCK in a series of pedagogical reasoning processes using argumentation structures, we explored the characteristics of future-oriented family resemblance-PCK shown by preservice science teachers using argumentation structures. At the end of the semester, we conducted in-depth interviews with 15 earth science preservice teachers who had experienced lesson design and teaching practice using the argumentation structure. Qualitative analysis including a semantic network analysis was conducted based on the in-depth interview to analyze the characteristics of preservice teachers' family resemblance-PCK. Results include that preservice teachers organized their classes systematically by applying the argumentation structure, and structured classes by differentiating argumentation elements from facts to conclusions. Regarding the characteristics of each component of the argumentation structure, preservice teachers had difficulty finding warrant, rebuttal, and qualifier. The area of PCK most affected by the argumentation structure is the science teaching practice, and preservice teachers emphasized the selection of a instructional model suitable for lesson content, the use of various teaching methods and inquiry activities to persuade lesson content, and developing of data literacy and digital competency. Discussed in the conclusion are the potential and usability of argument structure as a pedagogical reasoning tool, the possibility of developing science inquiry and reasoning competency of secondary school students who experience science classes using argumentation structure, and the need for developing a teacher education protocol using argumentation structure as a pedagogical reasoning tool.

  • The process of verifying design concepts and ideas by producing real or equivalent model is essential in the product development process. Against this background, the purpose of this study is to consider the case of developing subjects that can systematically cultivate the ability to produce model from the basic stage to a certain level or higher, focusing on design engineering majors. As a theoretical consideration for this, prior studies related to making such as modeling or prototyping in related areas and majors such as industrial design are considered, followed by Bloom's revised taxonomy model and Hioshi Ishikawa's industrial design program as a methodological consideration for curriculum development. Finally, by applying this, we propose a new course that includes a lecture plan corresponding to the 16th week of learning, which is a general semester of university education. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that producing a physical model was still essential for the development of a new design, and accordingly, it was also necessary to establish a systematic curriculum suitable for the major area. Since the scope of this study extends to the development of subjects, in subsequent studies, it is necessary to consider the contents such as verification and reflection of the utility as competency education through actual application and suggestion of improved subject design.

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of hotel marketing agility on employee job crafting and service innovative behavior in the context of the uncertainties faced by the Korean hotel industry amidst a rapidly changing business environment. In the post-COVID era, hotel companies need to quickly detect market trends and respond flexibly to secure a competitive advantage and promote sustainable growth. Given the high proportion of face-to-face services in the hotel industry, marketing agility is emerging as a core competency to effectively cope with changing customer demands and market dynamics. However, an organization's agile marketing capabilities only take on true meaning when frontline employees voluntarily redesign their jobs and lead service process innovations. In this regard, job crafting, which refers to employees' active redefinition and modification of their job boundaries, can serve as a link between organizational agility and individual innovative behavior. By empirically analyzing the structural relationship between marketing agility, job crafting, and service innovative behavior in the hotel context, this study applies the concept of agility to the field of human resource management and provides new insights into the antecedents and outcomes of job crafting. The results show that hotel responsiveness has a significant positive impact on all three dimensions of job crafting. In the case of speed and flexibility, they had a significant positive effect on task and relational crafting, but the effect of speed on cognitive crafting was not significant. The implications of the study suggest that hotels' rapid decision-making and execution may actually constrain employees' cognitive crafting activities, such as reflecting on and reinterpreting the meaning and identity of their work. Furthermore, it is expected to provide meaningful insights for hotel managers facing environmental upheavals to seek practical measures to enhance agility and innovativeness.

  • A variety of the approaches to the unification of the South Korea and North Korea have been implemented based on both the view of the national-centered unification and that of the reunification of the South and North Korea as a unit of nation through political, economic, military and diplomatics. A culture itself plays a significant role for people to understand one another through communicating and sharing cultural values. At this point, Korean-Wave called'Hallyu' should have various meanings and values for the reunification of South and North Korea. It has been expanded to the world beyond Asia as an icon of the culture. In this situation, North Korea is not exceptional. In other words, North Korea should be influenced by the Korean wave. Sharing a cultural value about Korean-Wave between South and North Koreans would be a way to speed up the reunification by having a common sense about the national identifications. The culture of Hallyu reflecting on the national identification could be helpful to enhance national pride and play a part for curing for the scarlet letters that they have got since the Korea was divided by two parts. The North Korean government's distorted policy to have blamed for the South Korean governing would be challenged if the Korean-wave would be epidemic in the Korean peninsular. In addition, if the North Koreans would be perceptive to the real freedom and universal value for the humanity, it would be more feasible for two Koreas to be reunified than before. In fact, it must serve as a catalyst for the reunification, two Koreas experiencing the Korean wave as a cultural value. As a result, the reunification for the people should have a meaning of the universal value as like everyone in the world can pursue for their own happiness. Through the Hallyu, That is, the change of the people's perception to the reunification will facilitate the reunification of two Koreas more than we expected.

  • In this study, a practice-based teacher education program was developed and applied to improve the TPACK of pre-service chemistry teachers. Also the program effect and obstacles were confirmed by measuring the development of TPACK. The participants of this study were 20 pre-service chemistry teachers of 3rd grade and 2 pre-service chemistry teachers of 4th grade who took chemistry education courses at K University located in Chungcheongbuk Province. The developed teacher education program consisted of four stages: preparation, rehearsal, practice, and reflection. The feedbacks from researchers and colleagues pre-service teachers were provided in preparation, rehearsal, and reflection stages. As a result of the study, the program of this study did not show an educational effect in the "constructive learning activities" of preservice teachers, but it was found to have an educational effect in "problem solving". In other words, in "constructive learning activity", most pre-service teachers were at 0 level before and after the program. The pre-service teachers designed the class to unilaterally provide technology to simply use it as a tool to explain subject content or revise misconceptions, and learners can passively acquire knowledge. However, in the case of "problem solving", the pre-service teachers who were at level 0 before the educational program changed to level 1. Before the program, the pre-service teachers designed classes to solve problems by memory without using technology, but after the program they planned classes that provides opportunities to approach and solve various problems through the technology presented by the teacher. However, there were not many pre-service teachers corresponding to level 2, which constitutes voluntary learning in which learners use technology to solve various problems while selecting and variously manipulating technology. In addition, as obstacles to the TPACK development of pre-service chemistry teachers, there were external factors such as lack of classroom support environment for TPACK implementation, lack of time for education planning, and inadequate technology competency. And there were internal factors such as perspectives of traditional education and negative attitude toward technology. In particular, the proportion of pre-service teachers who preceived inappropriate technical competency as an external obstacles of TPACK development was high. Therefore, it was necessary to develop an education program corresponding to type 2 or type 3 that enables TPACK development through TK for pre-service teachers.

  • This study provided an overview of how action learning runs in parents' education classes by analyzing the case of parent education program for prospective early childhood teachers. The subjects of this study were 32 pre - service teachers (30 students in early childhood education, 2 double major students) who were enrolled in the department of early childhood education at P university in Daejeon. The research was conducted theoretical and practical action learning program for 12 weeks. The data collection was organized by students preparing weekly diaries, group assignments, in-depth interview materials, colleagues and self-assessment, and analysed with the qualitative case study approach. The results of the qualitative analysis are as follows: Action learning teaching method provided opportunities to encounter diverse cases through student led and group activities. Students could experience a specific problem solving method between parents-children relationships as prospective parents. Students could have a chance to solve real-life situations that are difficult to experience in theoretical classroom situations between teachers-parents relationship as prospective teachers. Although the realization of practical knowledge of real-world conflict has been challenging, it has become a chance to have confidence with the role of parents and the role of teachers in the future.
