The purpose of this study was to analyse reemployment status of nurses participated in reemployment support program and to examine the effects of 2011-2013 reemployment programs which were managed by regional centers under Korean Nurses Association. An analysis was conducted using the data of self reported structured questionnaire from 332 career-interrupted nurses who were unemployed more than 6 months and have received reemployment services. The major finding were as follows. 59.9% of respondents were successfully reemployed, but 22.3% didn't get a job and 17.8% left jobs again after reemployed. Major reasons of not being employed were unmatched working hours and low salary. Subgroup analyses show that the reemployment program worked better to the respondents with older age, three year college graduate, and longer unemployment period than the respondents with young, four year college graduate, and short period of unemployment. The results show that more diverse reemployment programs are need to fit various kinds of career interrupted nurses, along with the development of different work hour systems and improvement of salary.
The purpose of this study is to explore further understanding of variables, besides father's alcoholism, which relates to psychosocial adjustment among ADAF(adult daughters of alcoholic fathers). This study examines the relationship between father's alcoholism, family functioning, parental attachment and the psychosocial adjustment among the ADAF. From a larger sample of 463 female college students, 160 ADAF and a matched group of non-ADAF were identified to participate in the study. This survey was conducted in Seoul and Gyungi-do area. Participants completed self-report questionnaires, "The Korean Version of Children of Alcoholics Screening Test", "Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment", "Satisfaction With Life Scale", "Self-esteem", "Beck Depression Inventory" and "Family Environment Scale". Path analyses was used to test the research question. Findings indicated that father's alcoholism had no direct effect on both the psychosocial adjustment of the ADAF and the family functioning. But father's alcoholism was significantly related to parental attachment. Family functioning was significant predictor of attachment to parents as well as psychosocial adjustment. Finally family functioning is important cause for parental attachment and psychosocial adjustment, specifically self-esteem and life satisfaction outcomes only. Therefore parental attachment was function as a mediator in the relationship between family functioning and psychosocial adjustment. In conclusion, this study showed that father's alcoholism did not predict outcome. We need to reconsider the assumption that direct link exists between adult adjustment difficulties and the presence of father's alcoholism. Implications for clinical and theoretical work with ADAF are discussed.
This study aims to develop a video-based smart utterance deep analyser (SUDA) application that analyzes semiautomatically the utterances that child and mother produce during interactions over time. SUDA runs on the platform of Android, iPhones, and tablet PCs, and allows video recording and uploading to server. In this device, user modes are divided into three modes: expert mode, general mode and manager mode. In the expert mode which is useful for speech and language evaluation, the subject's utterances are analyzed semi-automatically by measuring speech and language factors such as disfluency, morpheme, syllable, word, articulation rate and response time, etc. In the general mode, the outcome of utterance analysis is provided in a graph form, and the manger mode is accessed only to the administrator controlling the entire system, such as utterance analysis and video deletion. SUDA helps to reduce clinicians' and researchers' work burden by saving time for utterance analysis. It also helps parents to receive detailed information about speech and language development of their child easily. Further, this device will contribute to building a big longitudinal data enough to explore predictors of stuttering recovery and persistence.
This study explores the images of the elderly held by non-elderly. Unlike previous studies on the topic, it considers various dimensions of the images including health, personality, intelligence, and economic ability. The study also attempts to examine factors affecting the images by age groups of non-elderly as well as the dimensions above. The data come from a nationwide survey on the Korean Elderly conducted by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs in 2004. Analysis of the samples aged 20-64 reveals that the overall image of the elderly are negative across four dimensions. Nonetheless, differences by dimensions are also observed. Young people in their 20s are more likely than other age groups to have negative views on elderly's health. In the meanwhile, the middle aged are more likely to have negative views on elderly's economic ability. Multivariate analysis based on legit regression model shows that the images of the elderly are affected by age, place of residence, co-residence with older persons, attitude toward life in old age. The findings from this study contain important implications for the improvement of the elderly's images in rapidly aging society.

The first demographic transition refers to the historical decline in mortality and fertility, as shown from the 18th Century in several European populations, and continuing present in most developing countries. The end point of the first demographic transition(FDT) was supposed to be a stationary and stable population corresponding with replacement fertility and zero population growth. In addition, households in all parts of the world would converge toward the nuclear and conjugal types, composed of married couples and their offspring. The second demographic transition(SDT), on the other hand, sees no such equilibrium as the end-point. Rather, new developments bring sub-replacement fertility, a multitude of living arrangements other than marriage, and the disconnection between marriage and procreation. Populations would face declining sizes if not complemented by new migrants. Over the last decades birth rates have been on the decline in all countries of the world, and it is estimated that already more than half of he world's population has below replacement level fertility. Measured in terms of the Total Fertility Rate (TFR), currently 34 countries have fertility levels of 1.5 or less. Similarly, Korea has been below lowest-low fertility for eight consecutive years since 2001 and below the replacement level for more than twenty years. In explaining the low fertility in Korea, some researchers explain the low fertility as revenge against a male-dominated society and institution, while others focus the impact of the employment instability. These studies share the basic ideas (spread of individualism, delayed marriage and childbearing, high divorce rate etc.) of a second demographic transition in order to explain the low fertility in Korea.
The purpose of the research is to explore the main cause and effect of successful marriage that Korean husbands, who are multicultural families had. To do the research, the experiment has been done with 7 husbands for 2 months. The 7 husbands took depths interview and analyzed the result by grounded theory approach. As a result, the husband experienced 'repentance of marriage' because of 'unready marriage', but 'Raising children', 'Helping housework' and 'recognition from friends and colleague' have affected the husbands to have a successful marriage adaptation. Based on the result, a political and practical proposal has been proposed to the Korean husbands who are multi-cultural family. Here are the examples of the proposal. As a social welfare policy, 'obligation of information offering for prospective spouse', 'following the Labor Standards and parental leave', 'expansion of visiting supervise system' and 'making guidance for husbands and distribute map of Immigration Office, Multicultural Family Support Center and Community Center' have proposed. And as an alternative plan for a practical social welfare policy and continuous social awareness improvement, 'various education program', 'a program with domestic married couple', 'a program with parents-in-law', 'a specific program to increase the housework participation for husbands' and necessity of development and practice of group program for husband have been emphasized.

To this end, research was conducted with 330 parents of infants aged 1 and 2 in 55 day care centers located in J city and I city, Jeollabukdo. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural model equation analysis were conducted using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. First, the results of the structural model equation analysis showed that the infant's temperament had a negative correlation with leisure and guidance, while it had a positive correlation with activity and impulsivity, which are external manifestations of their social and emotional behavior. Father's involvement in child-rearing had a negative correlation with the adaptability and mood aspects of the child's temperament, and also with general anxiety, an internal aspect of his or her social and emotional behavior. Social and emotional behavior had a positive correlation with the approach avoidance aspect of the infant's temperament. Second, according to the results of the analysis of the route between the variables, infant temperament was found to be a significant route, having a statistically negative correlation with father's involvement in child-rearing. The results of this study showed that infant's temperament and father's involvement in child-rearing had effects on the infant's social and emotional behavior, and suggested the importance of having a proper understanding of the educational implications of the father's involvement in child-rearing, in terms of its effects on the infant's social and emotional behavior.
