A 13-year-old thoroughbred mare had been in trouble with repeated breeding for getting pregnant before the sample of endometrial biopsy was offered to investigate the possibility of pregnancy in the future. Based on the tissue sections examined, the prognosis for this mare to conceive and successfully carry a foal to term was estimated to be 10 to 50%.

  • Recently, the rapid change in the technical environment and under global competition, there has been an increasing attention to the creativity among core competency of organization. Particularly, creativity is an initiative for technological innovations and a primary key factor to the success. Systematic understanding towards creativity is required to derive sophisticated creativity. However, previous researches involved in only one or two elements of creativity made it difficult to understand the holistic relations. Furthermore, the objective measurement tool of creativity is insufficient. Therefore, this study analyzes creativity from each level and clarifies the elements that can coordinately measure that. First, the study suggests three levels that compose creativity. Second, the study not only clarifies the factors influencing creativity from each level but also develops the evaluation index. The creativity level assessment model proposed in the study is capable of providing a guide-line that evaluates, and therefore enhance, the organization's competencies and potentials of creativity.

In the case of Kwang-ju metropolitan city, the first factor that affects knowledge sharing is community commitment, the second one is CMC quality, and the third one is structural social capital. This result means that to succeed in knowledge sharing, the local government managers should try to shape the bonding among members, and then to get rid of the causes of complaints. In addition, local government also needs to predict problems claims and take proper actions for GKMC to be used conveniently through monitoring their work continuously. Furthermore, they should make a free and happy working environment, closely examining the change of the relationship among social capitals.

  • This study analyzes the effects of group characteristics of smart work users on intention for smart work activation(i.e., time flexibility, space flexibility, resource flexibility and ICT infrastructure). Also, this study analyzes the effects of different types of smart work depending on occupational groups, firm size and gender in local manufacturing companies. The results show that ICT infrastructure had the most significance in the early stage of smart work. On the contrary to the previous studies which focused more on time flexibility and space flexibility, this study exemplified that the resource flexibility demonstrated relatively higher significance than time flexibility and space flexibility. The results suggest the possibility of successful smart work by recognizing the change in organizational culture, specifically in face to face evaluation and vertical organizational culture to performance-based and horizontal organizational culture.
