Using the financial institutions that have adopted performance-based stock option plan, this paper examines whether performance-based executive stock options improves effectively firm value. Over the period 2002~2005, we investigate short-term and long-term effects of the performance-based stock options on stock price. The empirical results are summarized as follows. First, the announcement of plain vanilla stock options generates no significant effects on firm value. Meanwhile, the announcement of performance-based stock options results in negative and significant abnormal returns, which is contrary to the expectation. In addition, we find that there are strong, significant and negative announcement effects when banks grant performance-based stock options. Secondly, there is no significant difference between the long-term performance of the sample granting stock options and that of the benchmarks, which is similar to the findings of the previous research. Also, we fail to get any evidence that performance-based stock option awards have improved the long-term firm value.

본 논문은 경매설계 벤치마크 대상 국가로 거론되고 있는 프랑스를 대상으로 모바일 시장동향, 4G 주파수 경매결과, 정책과정, 그리고 세부 정책내용을 분석하여 조만간 시행될 예정인 국내의 1.8GHz 및 2.6GHz 대역 경매설계에 관한 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 논문의 분석에 따르면 주파수의 이용 효율성, 공정경쟁 양 측면에서 극단에 가까운 패키징 옵션 대신에 양 측면을 보다 균형되게 접근하여 메커니즘을 통해 자동적으로 결정되도록 하는 패키징 옵션 방안 마련이 필요하다고 사료된다. 이와 함께 미래 10년간의 경쟁 상태에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있는 제 4의 이동통신사의 진입 문제, 주파수 할당의 동시 할당 또는 순차적 할당 등에 대하여도 심도있는 정책적 고민이 병행되어야 한다고 사료된다.

Most real world design evaluation and risk-based decision support combine quantitative and qualitative (linguistic) variables. Decision making based on conventional mathematics that combines qualitative and quantitative concepts always exhibit difficulty in modelling actual problems. The successful selection process for choosing a design/procurement proposal is based on a high degree of technical integrity, safety levels and low costs in construction, corrective measures, maintenance, operation, inspection and preventive measures. In this paper, a design decision support framework using a composite structure methodology grounded in approximate reasoning approach and evidential reasoning method is suggested for design evaluation of machinery space of a ship engine room at the initial stages. An illustrative example is used to demonstrate the application of the proposed framework.

라우터 옵션중의 일부는 특정 환경에서만 필요한 기능들을 구현한다. 이러한 옵션들은 일반적인 환경에서 라우터의 패킷처리 효율을 저하시킨다는 점에서 미리 정의된 조건에 의해 라우터가 옵션 등을 포함한 설정을 동적으로 변경함으로써 라우터의 처리성능을 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 CLICK Modular Router 위에서 동적으로 설정을 재구성하는 기법을 제안하고 설계, 구현한다.

The user interfaces of electronic-book (e-book) readers in the e-book market are highly diverse, and this has led to major usability issues. In this paper, we analyze user preferences in terms of feature-setting options and the use of touchscreen actions in the six most commonly used e-book readers for smartphnoes. We identify alternatives for these features, which can enhance the usability of e-book readers, based on these user preferences. The survey results for the feature-setting options show that it is desirable to support at least eight background colors, as well as the ability to specify the color of the background icons. Adjusting the screen brightness using a setting bar with the support of an auto-brightness option is desirable, as in using +/- buttons to adjust the font size, as well as approximately 10 font faces. We find that it is desirable to support fade, slide, scroll and curl page-turing options, in addition to a simple non-animated page-turning effect, and that page movement should be accomplished using a scroll bar with the support of the page movement features by entering a page number, and by using the table of contents as well as bookmarks. The survey results on the use of touchscreen options indicated that it is useful to be able to configure the screen layout of an e-book reader by dividing it into three areas: left, right, and center. And then, when users briefly touch the left and right areas, it is ideal to move to the previous and subsequent pages, respectively; and when they briefly touch the center region, it is desirable to display a touch feature menu. We believe that the results of this study may provide guidance in the design of user interfaces for e-book readers.

iTOP(integrated-design Tool Of Plant)은 철골공장을 대상으로 한 모델링, 구조해석, 후처리, 부재설계, 구조계산서, 구조도면 및 물량산출에 이르는 일련의 과정을 유기적으로 통합한 시스템이다. 크레인 주행도를 주요 인터페이스 도구로 이용하고 \"크레인 하중조건\"이라는 개념을 새로이 도입함으로써, 각 크레인의 주행 범위 및 하중 옵션을 경우별로 설정할 수 있도록 하였다. 이에 따라 크레인거더의 설계 및 해석하중의 계산이 효과적으로 이루어지고, 제반 데이터에 따른 크레인 하중조합의 산정은 완전히 자동화되었다.

A trajectory analysis program is developed using a 3DOF trajectory model for the performance analysis of geostationary launch vehicles by system options. Launch trajectory and the performance of injection at GTO was estimated using this program for several propellant options, engine types, number of engines and the location of launch site. Results of the analysis presents that the possibility of mission accomplishment by several design options using domestic launch sites and the development direction of GEO launch vehicles.

The Demilitarized Zone(DMZ) is a buffer zone set between the southern and northern limit lines established after the 1953 Armistice Agreement. It is an important natural environment conservation area where wild species of animals and plants live. On the other hand, the development pressure on the DMZ will increase when the inter-Korean economic cooperation is activated in the future. As a result, DMZ development should consider not only the economic cost-benefit aspects, but also how to assess and conserve the biodiversity of the DMZ, as well as the recovery costs and budget. This paper develope a sustainable DMZ management model under biodiversity uncertainly by using real option approach. The model is also designed to reflect the political risk and regional specificity of the DMZ. Through empirical analysis, I derive the biodiversity threshold (b^*) that can secure the DMZ investment economy under uncertainty. In addition, through the sensitivity analysis, I derive the factors influencing the biodiversity threshold, and suggest the policy implications for sustainable management of DMZ.
