A literature review on cementation of implant prosthesis (임플란트 보철물의 합착에 대한 문헌고찰)

  • Cement-retained implant prosthesis has several advantages in the esthetic and occlusal aspects. However, the difficulty of the retrievability and the possibility of peri-implantitis induced by the cement excess would be a threatening factor to the implant prognosis. Peri-implantitis resulting from the remaining cement could occur later on to the patients with periodontitis history. Retention can be controlled by selecting the right cement type. Retention of the cement was the strongest in the resin cement, followed by resin modified glass ionomer cement, poIycarboxylate cement, zinc phosphate cement and glass ionomer cement. Retention of the provisional cement weakened after thermocycling. Other factors such as the abutment number, abutment alignment, height and taper of the abutment can also affect the total retention. To the success of the cement-retained prosthesis, it's important to select the right cement for the clinical purpose. The prosthesis should be fabricated in accordance with the biomechanical requirements. The prosthesis should be cemented with the techniques to reduce the excess cement as much as possible. In addition, the excess cement should be identified using the radiography and carefully removed.

Fractional efficiency of Nanomaterials for the High efficiency respiratory filters (고효율 호흡보호구의 나노물질 입경별 제거 효율)

  • Controlling exposures to occupational hazards is important for protecting workers. Certified facepiece respirators are recommended when engineering controls do not adequately prevent exposures to airborne nanomaterials. The objective of this study is to carry out the experimental performance test to investigate the fractional efficiencies of the filter media for two grades of facepiece respirators. Experimental performance evaluations were carried out for the test NaCl particles and silver nanoparticles. For media of respirator filter, the penetration of NaCl particles was less than 5% and the most penetrating particle size occurred at about 40 nm. For silver nanoparticles, the most penetrating particle size was about 20nm with higher efficiency than those of NaCl particles. Charge characteristics of airborne nanoparticles is important because the media of respirator filter is made by the electret filter media.

  • 유역에서 상류 유역 또는 수변을 따라 자연 자원을 이용하여 조성되어야 할 완충지대는 비점오염의 영향을 줄이기 위한 중요한 최적 관리공법이다. 교란된 토지 피복과 수변 완충지대를 관리 및 복원할 때 같은 지형조건이라도 식생 종류, 발달정도, 토양조건에 따라 오염물 제거효과가 다를 수 있으며, 최소 완충지대 길이도 제거 오염물질 대상별로 적합하게 설계되고 해석되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 용담댐 유역에서 SWAT 모델을 이용하여 식생 완충지대의 비점오염원 저감 모의 재현성을 평가하는 것이였다. 소유역의 관측값과 모델 예측값에 대한 모델의 검 보정이 선행되었으며 그 중에서 가장 높은 모델 효율을 가지는 소유역에서 three zone concept의 90m 수변완충지대를 지방하천을 경계로 하여 토지 피복도를 변화시켜 SWAT 모델에 적용하였다. 이 때 교목으로는 포플러 (Populus, 30m)을 적용하였고, 포플러의 높이 및 Leaf area index를 조정하여 관목 지대(30m)에 입력하였다. 잔디 지대(30m)는 자연초지를 선택하였다. 또한 지형변수(average slope)와 Manning's coefficient을 수변완충지대의 조건에 고려하여 변화를 주었고 이에 따른 유출량 및 유사량, T-N, T-P의 변화율을 조사하였다. 또한 5, 10, 30m의 식생 여과대를 밭 지역에만 적용하여 오염물의 저감 효율을 평가하였다. SWAT 모델은 각 소유역에서 발생된 전반적인 유출량과 수질변수의 추세를 잘 예측하였으며 정자천 소유역이 선택되었다. 모의된 완충지대에서는 연평균 940 m3/ha의 유출량이 감소되는 것으로 유사농도는 28.7 %의 저감효과를 보였다. 그러나 T-N, T-P의 농도는 오히려 증가되었는데 본 연구에서 고려된 보다 수변완충지대를 조성할 때 지하수 수위, 식생 성장변화 등과 같은 보다 정확한 설계 인자 산출 및 모델 DB 개발이 유역모델에 포함되어야 할 것으로 판단되었다.한 해결책을 얻어내는 상호보완적인 결과를 추구한다. 그가 디자인하는 작품은 전형적인 이미지를 내포하지 않는다. 즉 그의 작품은 기존의 가치와 이념적인 것은 배제하고, 창의적인 개념을 도출하였다.형모서리는 건물 특화 성격이 강하므로 불가피할 경우 소형 액센트 광고 위치를 미리 벽면으로 할애하는 것이 경관 및 입면계획에 유리한 것으로 분석되었다. 불확실도 해석모형 등의 새로운 기능을 추가하여 제시하였다. 모든 입출력자료는 프로젝트 단위별로 운영되어 data의 관리가 손쉽도록 하였으며 결과를 DB에 저장하여 다른 모형에서도 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 HyGIS-HMS 및 HyGIS-RAS 모형에서 강우-유출-하도 수리해석-범람해석 등이 일괄되게 하나의 시스템 내에서 구현될 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서 HyGIS와 통합된 수리, 수문모형은 국내 하천 및 유역에 적합한 시스템으로서 향후 HydroInformatics 구현을 염두에 둔 특화된 국내 수자원 분야 소프트웨어의 개발에 기본 토대를 제공할 것으로 판단된다.았다. 또한 저자들의 임상병리학적 연구결과가 다른 문헌에서 보고된 소아 신증후군의 연구결과와 큰 차이를 보이지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 자극에 차이가 있지 않나 추측되며 이에 관한 추후 연구가 요망된다. 총대장통과시간의 단축은 결장 분절 모두에서 줄어들어 나타났으나 좌측결장 통과시간의 감소 및 이로 인한 이 부위의 통과시간 비율의 저하가 가장 주요하였다. 이러한 결과는 차가운 생수 섭취가 주로 결장 근위부를 자극하는 효과를 발휘하는 것이 아닌가 해석된다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 통해 생다시마를 주원료로 개발된 생다시마차와 생다시마 음료가 만성 기능성 변비 증세를 개선하는 효능이 잠재적으로 있음을 확인하였다. 그러나 생약제재의 변비약 수준으로 변비 개선 효능을 증대하기 위해서는 재료 배합비의 개선이나 대장 운동기능을 향상시키는 유효성분의 보강 등이 필요하다는 점도 알 수 있었다.더불어 산화물질 해독에 관

Study on the Selection of Solvent for Purificatino of p-Dioxanone by Crystallization Method (결정화에 의한 파라디옥산온의 정제를 위한 용매선정에 관한 연구)

  • In order to obtain a highly purified p-dioxanone (PDX) as monomer of biodegradable polymer, suitable solvent must be selected. The selection was based on the solubility of impurities, and partial layer melt crystallization were carried out under the presence of solvent. The solubility of PDX in various solvents such as ethyl acetate, tetrahydrofuran, acetone, alcohols (methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 1-butanol and 1-pentanol) were measured over the temperature range of $-10{\sim}15^{\circ}C$. As solubility parameters, the mixing and dissolution enthalpy between the PDX and the solvents was studied based on empirical equations and the regular solution theory. The solubility and the temperature dependency of the solubility with the solvents of acetone, ethylacetate, and tetrahydrofuran of PDX were shown to have relatively high values compared to the alcohol type solvents. Also, in same alcohols, the smaller molecules and higher polarity gave higher solvency. In partial layer melt crystallization, small amount of ethylacetate selectively dissolved impurities and gave highly purified p-dioxanone, over 99.9% purity.

Separation of Highly Purified Antimicrobial Lysozyme Using Ultrafiltration and Characteristics of Membrane Fouling (한외여과 공정을 이용한 고순도 향균 Lysozyme 의 분리 및 막 침착 특성)

  • The value of lysozyme as a natural food preservative is continuously increased due to its unique antimicrobial activity. To determine the optimum separation concentration among the various hen egg white protein (HEWP) concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 1.0, w/v), protein concentrations, lysozyme concentrations, specific activities (SA), and purification factors of prefiltered solution (PFS) and PM30 permeate solution (PMS) were compared. The purity of lysozyme separated at each step was analyzed and confirmed by gel permeation chromatography and electrophoresis. The fouling deposits on membrane were observed by SEM. The non-enzymatic proteins were removed over 99% by ultrafiltration (UF). The increased feed concentration did not contribute to the increase of SA. SA of PMS was 18 to 31 times higher than that of PFS. The optimum feed concentration was decided as 0.25% based on SA and purification factor. The non-enzymatic region of gel chromatogram was proved to be ovalbumin. The thickness of deposit on the UF membrane was approximately $0.9{\mu}m$ and removed by cleaning with 0.1 N NaOH. Therefore, UF using PM30 membrane was very effective to separate the antimicrobial lysozyme from various HEWPs.

Programmed APTES and OTS Patterns for the Multi-Channel FET of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNT 다중채널 FET용 표면 프로그램된 APTES와 OTS 패턴을 이용한 공정에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we have investigated a selective assembly method of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) on a silicon substrate using only photolithographic process and then proposed a fabrication method of field effect transistors (FETs) using SWCNT-based patterns. The aminopropylethoxysilane (APTES) patterns, which are formed for positively charged surface molecular patterns, are utilized to assemble and align millions of SWCNTs and we can more effectively assemble on a silicon (Si) surface using this method than assembly processes using only the 1-octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS). We investigated a selective assembly method of SWCNTs on a Si surface using surface-programmed APTES and OTS patterns and then a fabrication method of FETs. photoresist(PR) patterns were made using photolithographic process on the silicon dioxide (SiO2) grown Si substrate and the substrate was placed in the OTS solution (1:500 v/v in anhydrous hexane) to cover the bare SiO2 regions. After removing the PR, the substrate was placed in APTES solution to backfill the remaining SiO2 area. This surface-programmed substrate was placed into a SWCNT solution dispersed in dichlorobenzene. SWCNTs were attracted toward the positively charged molecular regions, and aligned along the APTES patterns. On the contrary, SWCNT were not assembled on the OTS patterns. In this process, positively charged surface molecular patterns are utilized to direct the assembly of negatively charged SWCNT on SiO2. As a result, the selectively assembled SWCNT channels can be obtained between two electrodes(source and drain electrodes). Finally, we can successfully fabricate SWCNT-based multi-channel FETs by using our self-assembled monolayer method.

Design Scheme to Develop Integrated Remediation Technology: Case Study of Integration of Soil Flushing and Pneumatic Fracturing for Metal Contaminated Soil (복합복원기술 개발을 위한 설계안 : 중금속 오염토양을 위한 토양세척과 토양파쇄의 통합 사례 연구)

  • In remediation of the contaminated soil, it requires to select at least more than two remediation technologies depending on the fate and transport phenomena through complicated reactions in soil matrix. Therefore, methodologies related to develop the integrated remediation technology were reviewed for agricultural soils contaminated with heavy metals. Pneumatic fracturing is necessary to implement deficiency because soil washing is not effective to remove heavy metals in the subsurface soil. But it needs to evaluate the characteristics such as essential data and factors of designated technology in order to effectively apply them in the site. In the remediation site, the important soil physical and chemical factors to be considered are hydrology, porosity, soil texture and structure, types and concentrations of the contaminants, and fate and its transport properties. However, the integrated technology can be restrictive by advective flux in the area which remediation is highly effective although both soil washing and pneumatic fracturing were applied simultaneously in the site. Therefore, we need to understand flow pathways of the target contaminants in the subsurface soils, that includes kinetic desorption and flux, predictive simulation modeling, and complicated reaction in heterogenous soil.

A Study on NH3-SCR Vanadium-Based Catalysts according to Tungsten Content for Removing NOx Generated from Biogas Cogeneration (바이오가스 열병합 발전에서 발생하는 NOx 제거를 위한 텅스텐 함량에 따른 NH3-SCR 바나듐계 촉매 연구)

  • In this study, a vanadium catalyst study was conducted on the various characteristics of the exhaust gas in the Selective-Catalytic-Reduction (SCR) method in which nitrogen oxides emitted from cogeneration using biogas are removed by using ammonia as a reducing agent and a catalyst. V/W/TiO2, a commercial catalyst, was used as the catalyst in this study, and the effect was confirmed according to the tungsten content under various operating conditions. As a result of the NH3-SCR experiment, the denitrification performance was confirmed at 380 ~ 450 ℃ more than 95%, and durability to trace amounts of SO2 was confirmed through the SO2 durability experiment and TGA analysis. As a result of H2-TPR analysis, the higher the tungsten content, the better the redox properties. Accordingly, enhanced oxidizing properties were confirmed in the oxidation test for a trace amount of carbon monoxide emitted from the cogeneration. In NH3-DRIFTs analysis, it was confirmed that the higher the tungsten content, the higher both the Bronsted/Lewis acid sites and the better the thermal durability when tungsten is added to the catalyst. Based on the experiments under various operating conditions, it is considered that a catalyst with a high tungsten content is suitable to be applied to cogeneration using biogas.

An Approach for the Antarctic Polar Front Detection and an Analysis for itsVariability (남극 극 전선 탐지를 위한 접근법과 변동성에 대한 연구)

  • In order to detect the Antarctic Polar Front (PF) among the main fronts in the Southern Ocean, this study is based on the combinations of satellite-based sea surface temperature (SST) and height (SSH) observations. For accurate PF detection, we classified the signals as front or non-front grids based on the Bayesian decision theory from daily SST and SSH datasets, and then spatio-temporal synthesis has been performed to remove primary noises and to supplement geographical connectivity of the front grids. In addition, sea ice and coastal masking were employed in order to remove the noise that still remains even after performing the processes and morphology operations. Finally, we selected only the southernmost grids, which can be considered as fronts and determined as the monthly PF by a linear smoothing spline optimization method. The mean positions of PF in this study are very similar to those of the PFs reported by the previous studies, and it is likely to be well represents PF formation along the bottom topography known as one of the major influences of the PF maintenance. The seasonal variation in the positions of PF is high in the Ross Sea sector (${\sim}180^{\circ}W$), and Australia sector ($120^{\circ}E-140^{\circ}E$), and these variations are quite similar to the previous studies. Therefore, it is expected that the detection approach for the PF position applied in this study and the final composite have a value that can be used in related research to be carried out on the long term time-scale.

  • Major anthropogenic emissions of elemental mercury (Hg0) occur from coal-fired power plants, and the emissions can be controlled successfully using NH3-SCR (selective catalytic reduction) systems with catalysts. Although the catalysts can easily convert the gaseous mercury into Hg2+ species, the reactions are greatly dependent on the flue gas constituents and SCR conditions. Numerous deNOxing catalysts have been proposed for considerable reduction in power plant mercury emissions; however, there are few studies to date of elemental mercury oxidation using SCR processes with MW- and full-scale coal-fired boilers. In these flue gas streams, the chemistry of the mercury oxidation is very complicated. Coal types, deNOxing catalytic systems, and operating conditions are critical in determining the extent of the oxidation. Of these parameters, halogen element levels in coals may become a key vehicle for obtaining better Hg0 oxidation efficiency. Such halogens are Cl, Br, and F and the former one is predominant in coals. The chlorine exists in the form of salts and is transformed to gaseous HCl with a trace amount of Cl2 during the course of coal combustion. The HCl acts as a very powerful promoter for high catalytic Hg0 oxidation; however, this can be strongly dependent on the type of coal because of a wide variation in the chlorine contents of coal.
