The Effects of Ethical Work Climates on Ethical leader ship and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (윤리적 풍토가 윤리적 리더십, 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The present study focuses on ethical leader ship of people who are member of organization. The survey was conducted to 209 spectators who participated in the corporate organization. Collected data were analyzed through the statistical and analysis program SPSS. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted for analyzing the influence of ethical work climates on ethical leader ship and organizational citizenship Behavior. The results are below. First, the result of analyzing the relationship between ethical work climates and Ethical leader ship shows that principle have a positive impact on distributive justice, procedural justice, transparency, contribution, integrity and benevolence have a positive impact on procedural justice, contribution, integrity. Second, the result of analyzing the relationship between ethical leader ship and organizational citizenship behavior shows that transparency has a positive impact on conscientiousness, and integrity has a positive impact on sportsman ship. We discuss the implications of the results for the theory and the future research on the ethical leader ship.

Hyangga, a source of literary interest (향가, 문학적 재미의 원천)

  • This study shows the points of interest and the meanings contained within Hyangga which are derived from three literary characteristics: easy-to-understand structure of dialectic thinking, old-fashioned and universal lyric, and the sense of a place from the past that it reveals. Hyangga is a literary genre that is structured on dialectic thinking in its form and contents. The construction of meaning in these poems happens three stages, which is explicit in four-line and eight line Hyangga as well as in ten-line Hyangga. Therefore, to enjoy Hyangga, it makes more sense to understand the structure of the thoughts contained in Hyangga. A deeper understanding and enjoyment of the thoughts contained in Hyangga can be gained by thinking dialectically. The poems of Hyangga that have survived to present day have peculiar and rich lyrics. The emotions and thoughts contained in Hyangga are a combination of the universal human being and historically peculiar ones. The literary interests of Hyangga come from its universality and individuality, and the concreteness and reality of emotions expressed in its poems. Its beautifully and aesthetically described emotions resonate deep within us. The poems of Hyangga reveal features relating to spaces. We are able to get a sense of places from the past by reading their description in these poems. The places mentioned in Hyangga bring about a connection between our past and our present because they describe the same place but in a different period. Hyangga is a literary genre depicting the emotions and thoughts derived from places that belong to our people's territories. Therefore, the sense of place that Hyangga awakens in us reveals how we exist in the flow of our history. To sum up, the point of interest and meaning contained within Hyangga reveal the structure of dialectic thinking, the lyrics of those days, and the feeling of a sense of place. If these boundaries can be extended, there will be a wider scope for enjoying Hyangga.

The Influence of R&D Researchers' Perfectionism on Burnout: Focusing on the Mediated Effect of Self-Efficacy (R&D 연구원의 완벽주의가 소진에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study understood the influence of the company R&D researchers' perfectionism on burnout, and also verified if self-efficacy shows the mediated effect in this relation. In order for this, the data was collected for 293 R&D researchers of a research institute in Daejeon while the structural equation was used for hypothesis verification. In the results of analyzing the survey data, self-oriented perfectionism and self-efficacy had negative correlations with burnout while socially-oriented perfectionism showed positive correlation with burnout. Also it was found that self-efficacy mediated in the influence of self-oriented perfectionism on burnout. In case of socially-oriented perfectionism, however, the mediated effect of self-efficacy was not significant while having direct influence on burnout. Such study results show that self-oriented perfectionism and confidence in self ability that sets up goals and carries out things have positive influence on decreasing burnout. In order to decrease burnout, it would be necessary to cognize that the expectation of perfection is the goal for myself, rather than the one by others.

On the Formative Feature Characteristics of Cyber Character's Fashion in the Cyber-space Game (가상공간 게임에 나타난 사이버 캐릭터 의상의 조형성)

  • The purpose of this research is to examine the relation between the cyber environment and the contemporary fashion design by studying the formative feature characteristics of cyber character's fashion in the on-line game from the point of the contemporary fashion design. The research method is to understand the general concept of the cyber-space and characters and then is to contemplate characteristics and formative features of game character's fashion of the cyber-space mainly with cyber characters that were closely linked with features of the contemporary fashion design. As a result, the formative feature of game character's fashion of the cyber-space was to be classified into four categories; reactionism, mechanism, futurism, sensualism. First, reactionism takes traditional elements with symbolical and compromising form. Second, mechanism has a tendency of deconstruction due to its vitality and sense of velocity for objects through employing geometrical forms and new materials. Third, futurism deviates from the established framework. It makes use of high-tech materials and has surrealistic and futuristic features. Fourth, sensualism does emphasize sensual parts of the body and intends to convey aesthetic atmosphere through association of ideas. Character's fashion of the cyber on-line game is unnatural and artificial in its forms and wear for the lack of knowledge for costume's structure, and it shows just simplified design that accept extremely partial fragment of features in the contemporary fashion design.

Cross-Cultural Comparison of Materialism and Hedonic & Utilitarian Shopping Value : Using Korean, American, and Japanese College Students (대학생 소비자의 물질주의와 쾌락적.효용적 쇼핑가치 비교연구 : 한국, 미국, 일본 대학생을 대상으로)

  • The objectives of this study are to compare the levels of materialism with hedonic-utilitarian shopping values among 645 college students in Ulsan and Seoul, Korea; Columbus, Ohio, USA; and Nagasaki, Japan, and to analyze the impact of materialism on hedonic-utilitarian shopping values. As for the levels of hedonic shopping values, the students in Japan and Ulsan had the highest of all, whereas for the levels of utilitarian shopping values, those in Ulsan had the highest. For the levels of materialism, the students in Ulsan had the highest of all and those in Seoul had the lowest. And three scales in the materialism had a different influence on hedonic-utilitarian shopping values.
