This study is a foundational research for establishing the basic plan of the Chungcheongbuk-do Central Library. The research investigates the regional conditions of Chungcheongbuk-do and the status of collections, usage, staff, and programs of public libraries nationwide and major representative libraries. Based on this, a SWOT analysis was conducted to derive the vision, goals, and implementation strategies for establishing the basic plan of the Chungcheongbuk-do Central Library. Based on the research findings, the mission of the Chungcheongbuk-do Central Library is presented as "The library that grows alongside the lives of local residents, intersecting knowledge and culture."

As a preliminary study for the basic plan for the construction of the Buyeo Public Library, this study conducted a survey on Buyeo-gun residents' perception of the operation of Buyeo Public Library facilities and spaces, books, services and programs, and library characteristics. As a result, it was found that the survey subjects recognized the overall natural atmosphere of Buyeo Public Library facilities and spaces, and the convenience of using comfortable and pleasant data reading spaces and data. In addition, it was found that the preferred type of information source as the direction of book operation was print data, and the subject aspect was the highest preference for the literary field, and it was found that they wished to provide book and knowledge information in various fields.

Thermoplastic starch (TPS) was manufactured and blended with poly(butylene adipate-co-succinate) (PBAS), which is one of the most popular biodegradable aliphatic polyesters. The effects of the TPS contents on the mechanical properties, thermal characteristics, and biodegradability of PBAS/TPS blends were investigated. The foaming characteristics of those were also studied. With small amount of TPS, mechanical properties of the blends were largely deteriorated and the variations of them decreased with more addition of TPS. In addition, TPS decreased crystallinity and thermal decomposition temperature of PBAS. The PBAS/TPS foam having maximum blowing ratio was obtained with 20 Phr of TPS, and their blowing ratio decreased with the further increase of TPS.

This study aims to explore measures to help establish a management direction and policies of local public libraries based on local residents' needs for library services based on the community characteristics. To that end, a community survey was conducted focusing on eight urbans (gus) and two rural districts (guns) in Incheon Metropolitan City. The districts were categorized into three types, original urban center (Area 1), new urban center (Area 2), and urban-rural complex (Area 3). The residents in each type were analyzed in terms of library use, awareness, needs, and satisfaction. In terms of library use, awareness, and satisfaction;we identified differences among the area types. This paper suggested management directions of local public libraries based on the community characteristics.

Secondary diseases that occur during the rehabilitation of breast cancer survivors are factors that can negatively change the physical and psychological state of the patient. The rehabilitation after treatment of breast cancer survivors is an important process to prevent cancer recurrence and increase the survival rate because a negative psychological state significantly impacts the long-term survival rate. This study identifies user requirements for the development of functional bras for mastectomy patients in Korea. Participants included 133 patients with one or more breasts removed due to breast cancer and an average age of 53.2 years (53.21 ± 7.57 years, minimum 33 years, maximum 69 years). Women in their 50s had the highest participation rate of 48.9%. Most maintained the same bra size before surgery; however, some experienced changes in bra size because they are not irritated by wounds caused by surgery. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to material when designing a functional bra because it can irritate the surgical site. Only about 41.4% of bras were worn by breast cancer patients because of price burden and lack of education, not complaints related to clothing design and wearability or body shape. Most purchases at hospitals or medical institutions require consultation with a specialist who provides information about a bra mainly at the hospital. The most important considerations when buying a breast cancer bra were size, fit and shape stability.

The rubber was compounded with carbon black and silica series-filler to examine the effects of the various rubber fillers on a gasket material's suitability and fuel cell stack conclusion. The evaluation of a long term heat resistance and oil resistance of the mixed rubber material was performed considering at the drive environment of PEMFC. Test results of compression set for the most influencing property of gasket showed that it was about less than 15% at long term of up to 1000 h. In this experiment, FEM analysis is carried out about the rubber material's properties depending on each filler and the stress which is produced when a gasket is contracted by using various filler. Sealing force was expected to maximum 2.5 MPa from minimum 0.2 MPa by using FEM (finite element method) at stacking gasket to gasket.

This study is aimed at examination and analysis of current status of university library's line and staff organization especially the private university's. Motivation for this study is based on the following facts : First, the library work now is changing from the conventional one to automated one. Second, librarians in the front line must be trained in the newly set work because of the separation of work process in automated libraries. Methodologies of this study, apart from theoretical aspects, were visiting and interviewing librarians at 30 university libraries, examining the current status and problems of the line and staff organization of the university libraries. The result from the study is as follows: First, interviewing reveals that 35% of the 75 private university library is having 'associate directorship by librarian' system. Benefits from this system are described, recommending other University libraries adopt this system. This system su n.0, pplements the weak point of concurrent director's office of lay professor, as well as encourages librarian's morale by promotion. Second, the current organization of the university libraries are to be reformed. Namely, 1) the name of each division must be newly and a n.0, ppropriately set of changed suiting for the work of automated library, thus reforming the division. This must be conducted via collection of opinions of the Korean Library and Information Science Society' and associated organizations. 2) Newly formed division(for example, administrative division or division of operation and management, division conducting digital library work, etc.) must be added to the line and staff organization. 3) For information service division, there must be a certain number of subject specialists. 4) Status of the directorship of university library, librarianship, issue of renaming of university library are also described.

Pressure sore(Decubitus ulcer) is an area of ulceration and necrosis of the skin and underlying tissues occurring over the body prominence such as the sacrum, greater trochanter, scapula, lateral malleolus, thoracic spine and heels after prolonged or often repeated pressure. These days incidence of pressure sore have been increased because of the many population of the old, traffic accidents and cerebral vascular disease. But the treatment was not confirmly established. As for treatment, we used Talcum powder for 10 days in case 1 and 6 days in case 2. The patients were improved within 14 days after treatment in case 1 and 10 days in case 2.

The purpose of this study is to present suggestions for Korean libraries for disabled person after collecting and analyzing qualitative data upon library policies of national libraries, public libraries and libraries for disabled person in European countries including Sweden, UK and France. Korean national library support center for the disabled should be independent in order to have consistent policy and ability for its execution. It should also support private libraries for the disabled in inheriting professionalism and accumulated history. Developing alternative material, integrated catalogue and professional service is required by cooperative and systematic arrangements among national and public libraries for disabled person including schools and university libraries. Also, it should be able to grow not only on the basis of internal cooperation among libraries but also with the help of external organizations like social and legal systems, organizations related with the disabled and regional self governing bodies.

This research analysed 73 samples to find out the recognition of librarians working in domestic public libraries from the information user's views. This research analyzed public library user's usual recognition level of librarian's work attitude, qualification, and service lever based of group of gender. For this, this research stands on the basis of previous researches and 3 types of modified questionnaire; recognition level of librarian's work attitude, recognition level of librarian's qualification, and recognition level of communication between librarians and information users using on nominal scale and interval scale. The research's result showed study outcome of librarian's work attitude was generally low with the mean of 2.81. Second, librarian's qualification of being a specialist was low with the mean of 2.84. Lastly, satisfaction of communication service level between information users and librarians was low with the mean of 2.89. Male and Female groups showed the difference of acknowledgement between each questions.
