  • 이 달의 맛집은 미국에서의 유학 경험을 살려 지난해 오픈한 미국 남부 가정식 식당, '샤이바나'이다. 식당 이름인 '샤이바나'는 부끄럽다는 뜻의 'shy'와 고릴라 캐릭터 '바나'를 조합했다고 하는데, 깨끗한 음식만 먹는 고릴라가 수줍어하며 손님에게 정성이 담긴 음식을 드리겠다는 다짐을 담아 식당이름을 지었다고 한다.

수학적 플라톤주의와 수의 비고유성 문제

  • 베나세라프의 수의 비고유성 논증은 플라톤주의에 대한 강력한 반박들 중의 하나다. 이에 대한 플라톤주의 진영에서의 대응은 현재까지 네 가지 정도가 있었다. 라이트와 헤일로 대표되는 신프레게주의, 샤피로의 ante rem 구조주의, 밸러거의 혈기왕성한 플라톤주의, 그리고 잴타의 원리화된 플라톤주의에서의 대응들이 그것들이다. 이 네 가지 대응들 중 잴타의 원리화된 플라톤주의는 진정한 플라톤주의로 간주되기 매우 힘들며, 신프레게주의는 수의 비고유성 문제해결에 심각한 어려움을 갖고 있다. 한편 수의 비고유성 문제를 어느 정도 극복하고 있는 듯이 보이는 샤피로와 밸러거의 견해들 중, 밸러거의 견해는 인식과 지칭의 문제와 관련하여 심각한 난관에 봉착해 있다. 따라서 현재까지 제시된 이론의 상태에서는 샤피로의 견해가 수의 비고유성 문제를 인식의 문제와 함께 가장 잘 해결하고 있는 것으로 평가될 수 있다.

Encounter of Lattice-type coding with Wiener's MMSE and Shannon's Information-Theoretic Capacity Limits in Quantity and Quality of Signal Transmission (신호 전송의 양과 질에서 위너의 MMSE와 샤논의 정보 이론적 정보량 극한 과 격자 코드 와의 만남)

  • By comparing Wiener's MMSE on stochastic signal transmission with Shannon's mutual information first proved by C.E. Shannon in terms of information theory, connections between two approaches were investigated. What Wiener wanted to see in signal transmission in noisy channel is to try to capture fundamental limits for signal quality in signal estimation. On the other hands, Shannon was interested in finding fundamental limits of signal quantity that maximize the uncertainty in mutual information using the entropy concept in noisy channel. First concern of this paper is to show that in deriving limits of Shannon's point to point fundamental channel capacity, Shannon's mutual information obtained by exploiting MMSE combiner and Wiener filter's MMSE are interelated by integro-differential equantion. Then, At the meeting point of Wiener's MMSE and Shannon's mutual information the upper bound of spectral efficiency and the lower bound of energy efficiency were computed. Choosing a proper lattice-type code of a mod-${\Lambda}$AWGN channel model and MMSE estimation of ${\alpha}$ confirmed to lead to the fundamental Shannon capacity limits.

  • Aluminum alloys are gaining increased acceptance in the automotive and electronic industeries and cold & hot forging is the most efficient method of manufacturing such mass produced parts. This study has been investigated the microstructures and mechanical properties of A6061(Al-1.2Mg-0.8Si) alloy fabricated by cold & hot forging process for development of the future compressor block. The microstructure of cold & hot forginged specimen were composed of eutectic structure aluminum solid solution and $Mg_2Si$ precipitates. The tensile strength of as-solid solution treatment A6061 alloy revealed 291.7MPa. It was fabricated that a trial future compressor cylinder block using cold & hot forging.

Effect of Spring and Summer on Semen Characteristics, Frozen-Thawed Sperm Viability and Testosterone Concentration in Yorkshire Boars (요크샤 종모돈의 정액성상, 동결-융해 후 정자의 생존성 및 테스토스테론의 농도에 미치는 봄과 여름의 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of spring (March~May) and summer (June~August) influencing semen characteristics, frozen-thawed sperm viability and serum testosterone concentration in Yorkshire boars. Results of this study were as follows: 1. There were no significant differences in the semen volume, pH and sperm concentration of sperm-poor fraction of Yorkshire boars between spring and summer. However, sperm concentrations of sperm-rich fractions in spring were higher than those in summer (P<0.05). 2. Sperm motility and normal acrosome of raw semen in Yorkshire boars did not differ significantly between spring and summer, However, motility and normal acrosome of frozen-thawed sperm were higher in spring season than in summer season (P<0.05). 3. Serum testosterone concentrations in Yorkshire boars were 4.04 ng/$m\ell$ in spring and 2.85 ng/$m\ell$ in summer. Serum testosterone concentrations in spring were higher than those in summer (P<0.05). 4. In conclusion, when serum testosterone concentrations in Yorkshire boars were higher, frozen-thawed sperm viability was higher.

The Influence of Digital Animation on the choreography of K-pop idol (K-pop아이돌 무대 퍼포먼스 디자인에 반영된 디지털 애니메이션의 영향)

  • K-pop performances are in the center of the contemporary popular arts and cultural industry, and implicitly reveal the way that our society views the body and the time-space. This paper explores the motif of automaton in the K-pop idol group ShiNee's stage performance of 'Everybody' and the song's music video. At the same time, the paper relates the motif with the automaton of the digital era-that is, the sense of time-space in digital animations. The motif of the automaton has its origins in the mythical forms related to the animation, and is related to the human desire to create humanlike forms. Also, this motif is closely linked to the aesthetical meaning of the animation, being played in different variations since the beginning of the animation. This paper explores the tradition of automaton motif in culture and the arts, and look into the cases in which the history of the relationship between the media and body performance harboring the automaton motif has been displayed in 19th century ballet or modern body expressional arts. In addition, this paper will compare and analyze representative contemporary works that reveal digital viewpoint and the choreography of 'Everybody', and compare other works that stand in similar aesthetic tradition, investigating the influence of digital animation reflected in the K-pop idol and its aesthetic and social undertones.

  • Yang, Youngsun's 1001 has been a monumental "Web-toon" work optimized in Web Environment. This paper has intended to explain semantics of 1001 (reconstructed works of the Arabian Nights) by mimesis theory of desires and scapegoat mechanism of Ren$\acute{e}$ Girard; Shahriah, the protagonist, had been hurt by Queen's affair, but in the depth of his mind, he had suffered the problem of injured self-esteem by his model, father. However, Shahriah's mind had been recovered slowly by story therapy of Sheherezade. Sheherezade's story therapy had made up by contrasting states, violence and sacrificial love. In the very end, Shariah had solved all the problems of the structural Negativities by accepting his fate.
