In this Research, in order to improve problems of not enough technical validation and structural and hydraulic stability evaluation when nature-friendly revetment block is applied to field, hydraulic stability evaluation according to hydraulic behavior change of porosity soil block for vegetation reinforcement that secures ecological function was reviewed. By selecting object section, numerical analysis and hydraulic model experiments were performed; for numerical analysis, by using 1-dimensional numerical analysis model HEC-RAS and 2-dimensional numerical analysis RMA-2, one-dimensional(1D) and two-dimensional(2D) numerical analysis were performed; by applying Froude's similarity law, reduced-scale hydraulic model experiments according to vegetation existence were performed. In hydraulic model experiment, for validity of experiment result, the result of velocity and tractive force of reduced-scale hydraulic model experiments was converted to prototype so that it can be compared and reviewed under the same condition of one-dimensional(1D) and two-dimensional(2D) numerical analysis result; as a result, it was confirmed that comparatively united result appeared, and by comparing prototype-converted tractive force result with revetment's allowable tractive force coming from an existing research, block's hydraulic stability was suggested.
Water quality standards (WQS) are mandatory to guarantee the human health and protection of aquatic ecosystems, and maintain the condition of suitable water quality. The present WQS for the protection of human health in Korea contain nine substances (As, Cd, $Cr^{6+}$, CN, Pb, Hg, ABS, organophosphorus compounds and PCBs), but it is insufficient to preserve the human and aquatic ecosystem from a variety of chemicals. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the substance of WQS for the protection of human health. In this study, we chose the 20 chemicals from 43 chemicals of the project entitled 'Development of Integrated Methodology for Evaluation of Water Environment'. The methodology for calculating water quality criteria was amended from the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA)'s equation for deriving ambient water quality criteria for the protection of human health. The factors including fish intake, drinking water intake, and human body weight used in the equation reflected Korean situations. The monitoring values were derived from the water quality monitoring data in Korean four main rivers. The orders of priorities of chemicals were evaluated by human health risk assessment, and the proposed WQS was derived by technical and economic analyses. These results were reflected to expand the WQS for the protection of human health.
Regulatory barrier is considered most challenging out of all FinTech barriers, which many technology innovators have always experienced. Even though technological solutions promise customers accessibility to more cost-effective and secured financial services, it is quite challenging to create regulatory environment that enables innovation FinTech industry. Especially, a common challenge FinTech innovators and business face is regulatory uncertainty and confusion rather than any particular regulation. Since many FinTech models are continuously introducing new innovative ways in providing financial services, significant confusion could be raised in applying principles of existing law and regulations. In addition, it is uncertain whether or not applying complex regulatory compliance model intended for large financial institutions to small start-ups is appropriate since most existing regulations and rules are established and introduced without considering innovative tools such as mobile instruments, e-trade, and internet. Therefore, new mechanism to access to regulatory information in a more cost-effective, quick and immediate way should be created. Regulators, technological innovators, and financial customers should cooperate each other to find out appropriate solutions for those issues. Many regulators are introducing regulatory sandbox which provides service providers with opportunities to test their innovations, during the test, providing regulators with enough time to understand risks of innovations. However, regulatory sandbox is not a panacea for all challenges to FinTech innovations. Therefore, regulators should make comprehensive and multidimensional efforts including regulatory sandbox in supporting FinTech ecosystem.

This study examined the type, the structural shapes, and the representation of Sandae, which was the stage for traditional performing arts and constructed for the purpose of imperial processions, ritual ceremonies, banquets, etc. from the Goryeo Dynasty to the Late Joseon Dynasty, and the implications of Seokgasan, which was built in the same era. First, through the history and meaning of Sandae, it was confirmed that Sandae has a homogeneity with Seokgasan, which attempted to imitate the shape of "Mountain" in the outer space. The construction of Sandae was deeply related to the tradition of famous mountains. This is consistent with the fact that 'Famous mountains and lakes" in China was symbolically replicated on the Seokgasan in the front yard of the "Cheongyeongak" in the Goryeo Dynasty. Second, Sandae and Seokgasan differed in their structural shapes, materials, and production methods, but they were used as a stage background for national events by constructing in the shape of the mountain, and appeared in various types. It can be seen that the interest in gardens and art of those days has resulted in various formative expressions of nature through the shape and symbolic meaning of the Sandae that mimics the mountain. Third, it is presumed that the square pond with lotus flowers, which is believed to have been located in the center of the garden of Shin Jaehyo's old house, and the Sugak and Seokgasan adjacent to it were not only elements of the garden, but also functioned as a background for the training and performance stage of Shin Jaehyo's students.

Throughout this research course, we have analyzed the financial situation of more than 2,700 companies using credit evaluation disclosures from 2017 to 2019. The population was gathered based on the certification of Ppuri companies and Ppuri Expertise companies through the Korea National Ppuri Industry Center, accompanied by the NICE credit evaluation index. For the first time in Korea, we wanted to look at growth, profitability, and stability through financial analysis of the Ppuri industry. Through an indepth analysis, we identified operating income (rate), net income (rate), asset size, and debt ratio, along with three years of Ppuri company workers and total sales fluctuations, and looked at the financial structure per capita. In addition, financial status per person was compared by dividing Ppuri companies into six groups by employee size. Groups were 10 or fewer people, 11 to 20 people, 21 to 50 people, 51 to 200 people, 201-300 people, and 300 or more people; single individual companies were excluded for research convenience. Overall, the financial situation of Ppuri companies was judged to be in a very bad downturn, and financial indicators deteriorated over the course of the three years of investigation. In particular, the smaller the number of employees, the greater the financial fluctuations were and the worse the situations were. Among Ppuri companies, the casting industry, which is the technical starting point for the value chain of the industry, was found to also be in a very bad state, with continued workforce declines, total assets and sales reductions at severe levels, and operating income (rate) and net income (rate) also very poor. This is why we need a suitable and feasible policy direction, something that is difficult but must be allowed to develop.

Forest canopy height is an indispensable vertical structure parameter that can be used for understanding forest biomass and carbon storage as well as for managing a sustainable forest ecosystem. Plot-based field surveys, such as the national forest inventory, have been conducted to provide estimates of the forest canopy height. However, the comprehensive nationwide field monitoring of forest canopy height has been limited by its cost, lack of spatial coverage, and the inaccessibility of some forested areas. These issues can be addressed by remote sensing technology, which has gained popularity as a means to obtain detailed 2- and 3-dimensional measurements of the structure of the canopy at multiple scales. Here, we reviewed both international and domestic studies that have used remote sensing technology approaches to estimate the forest canopy height. We categorized and examined previous approaches as: 1) LiDAR approach, 2) Stereo or SAR image-based point clouds approach, and 3) combination approach of remote sensing data. We also reviewed upscaling approaches of utilizing remote sensing data to generate a continuous map of canopy height across large areas. Finally, we provided suggestions for further advancement of the Korean forest canopy height estimation system through the use of various remote sensing technologies.

As ICT convergence is progressing in all industrial fields and creating the global ecosystem of the supply chain is accelerating, supply chain risk related with cyber area are also increasing. In particular. the supply chain of ICT products is very complex in terms of technical and environmental factors to be managed, so it is vert difficult to transparently manage the entire life cycle. Accordingly, the US, UK, and EU, etc. are conducting and establishing cyber supply chainsecurity-related research and policies for ICT product supply chains. Korea also has the plan to establish management system to secure the supply chain of major ICT equipment as a task in the basic plan of the national cybersecurity strategy announced in 2019, but there is no concrete policy yet. So, In this paper, we review the cyber supply chain security management system in the United States and present a supplementary way to the National Information Security Manual in Korea from the perspective of cyber supply chain security. It is expected that this will serve as a reference material for cyber supply chain measures that can be introduced in domestic information security field.
For humankind, the ocean is a treasure trove of natural resources and an important area that provides major transportation routes. However, marine ecosystems are under threat amidst the global climate change crisis. This is partly due to various sources of pollution emitted from ships, shore facilities, and other sources. In response, the navies of advanced countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe have assessed such a climate change crisis as a new maritime security threat. These countries have made early efforts to prevent marine pollution from warships. These efforts have been legally embodied. This was legislation for technical and organizational structures to be practically applied in the field. Among these navies of developed countries, France has established parliamentary and intergovernmental plans to become a leader in environmental protection at the defense level, not only in the European region but throughout the world. Within this framework, the French Navy, through its internal instruction, has inclined its legal efforts to prevent marine pollution from warships. Therefore, this study examines the legislation for the prevention of marine pollution from warships within the French Navy and compares it with the marine environmental legislation applicable to the ROK Navy. It then deduces the implications for the ROK navy, which is advancing toward a Blue-Water navy.
The compliance of deep geological disposal facilities for high-level radioactive waste with safety objectives requires consideration of uncertainties owing to temporal changes in the disposal system. A comprehensive review and analysis of the characteristics of this evolution should be undertaken to identify the effects on multiple barriers and the biosphere. We analyzed the evolution of the buffer, backfill, plug, and closure regions during the early phase of the post-closure period as part of a long-term performance assessment for an operating license application for a deep geological repository in Finland. Degradation mechanisms generally expected in engineered barriers were considered, and long-term evolution features were examined for use in performance assessments. The importance of evolution features was classified into six categories based on the design of the Finnish case. Results are expected to be useful as a technical basis for performance and safety assessment in developing the Korean deep geological disposal system for high-level radioactive waste. However, for a more detailed review and evaluation of each feature, it is necessary to obtain data for the final disposal site and facility-specific design, and to assess its impact in advance.
This paper describes the technical background for the Korean wildlife radiation dose assessment code, K-BIOTA, and the summary of its application. The K-BIOTA applies the graded approaches of 3 levels including the screening assessment (Level 1 & 2), and the detailed assessment based on the site specific data (Level 3). The screening level assessment is a preliminary step to determine whether the detailed assessment is needed, and calculates the dose rate for the grouped organisms, rather than an individual biota. In the Level 1 assessment, the risk quotient (RQ) is calculated by comparing the actual media concentration with the environmental media concentration limit (EMCL) derived from a bench-mark screening reference dose rate. If RQ for the Level 1 assessment is less than 1, it can be determined that the ecosystem would maintain its integrity, and the assessment is terminated. If the RQ is greater than 1, the Level 2 assessment, which calculates RQ using the average value of the concentration ratio (CR) and equilibrium distribution coefficient (Kd) for the grouped organisms, is carried out for the more realistic assessment. Thus, the Level 2 assessment is less conservative than the Level 1 assessment. If RQ for the Level 2 assessment is less than 1, it can be determined that the ecosystem would maintain its integrity, and the assessment is terminated. If the RQ is greater than 1, the Level 3 assessment is performed for the detailed assessment. In the Level 3 assessment, the radiation dose for the representative organism of a site is calculated by using the site specific data of occupancy factor, CR and Kd. In addition, the K-BIOTA allows the uncertainty analysis of the dose rate on CR, Kd and environmental medium concentration among input parameters optionally in the Level 3 assessment. The four probability density functions of normal, lognormal, uniform and exponential distribution can be applied.The applicability of the code was tested through the participation of IAEA EMRAS II (Environmental Modeling for Radiation Safety) for the comparison study of environmental models comparison, and as the result, it was proved that the K-BIOTA would be very useful to assess the radiation risk of the wildlife living in the various contaminated environment.
