MediaRenderer Service for Interoperability of UPnP AV Devices (UPnP AV 단말의 상호운용을 위한 미디어랜더러 서비스)

  • 본 논문은 UPnP 기반의 홈 네트워크 환경에서 미디어 서비스를 이용하는 사용자가 위치 이동에 따라 AV 서비스 단말의 전환을 요구하는 경우 QoS 저하 없이 유연하게 상호연동 서비스하기 위한 UPnP AV 확장 서비스 모델을 제안한다. 사용자는 AV 서비스를 받기 위하여 기존의 이동단말기기 뿐만 아니라 일반 데스크탑, 그리고 셋탑박스 등의 다양한 형태의 단말환경을 상호연동하여 유기적으로 연결하여 사용할 수 있다. 하나의 단말환경에서 제공되던 미디어 컨텐츠는 미디어 랜더러와 컨트롤 포인트에 의해 다른 단말 환경에서 사용자의 조작 없이 미디어를 연속하여 제공 받을 수 있으며, 사용자는 이러한 UPnP AV 서비스를 별도의 설정 없이 이용할 수 있다. 논문에서 제안된 UPnP AV 확장 서비스는 사용자의 이동에 따라 단말에서 컨텐츠 재생을 위한 미디어 랜더러와 서로 다른 단말의 미디어 랜더러에 서비스하기 위한 컨트롤 포인트 그리고 각기 다른 단말장치로 컨텐츠가 제공되기 위한 미디어 서버로 구성된다. UPnP 포럼에서 정의하는 표준 서비스에 UPnP 프로토콜의 특성을 이용한 SwithingModule을 미디어 랜더러에 구현하여, 사용자의 이동 상황에 따라 AV 서비스를 받기 위한 미디어 전환 서비스를 지원한다.

  • 이질 분산 환경에서 분산 객체 미들웨어를 이용한 시스템 통합 기술은 시스템 서로 간에 상호운용 가능하도록 할뿐만 아니라 개발비용의 절감을 가져 올 수 있다. 현재의 군 정보체계는 하부 구조와 개발 플랫폼이 정의없이 정보 시스템 개발을 진행함에 따라 재사용성과 기술 공유가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 이를 해결하기 위해서는 분산 객체 기술을 이용하여 개방 체계로 전환하기 위한 접근 방법이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 군 정보 시스템을 분산객체 미들웨어인 CORBA를 이용하여 통합할 수 있는 절차를 확보한 뒤 이를 설계하고 테스트함으로써 군 정보 시스템 자원과 C4I 시스템 개발 자원의 낭비를 절감시키고, 현재 시스템 간의 상호 운용성이 가능하도록 하였다.

The Effect of the Precedential Factors on the SNS User's Revisit and Switching Intention (SNS 이용자의 재방문의도와 전환의도에 영향을 미치는 선행요인에 관한 연구)

  • Previous research about SNS users' intention was mainly focused on revisit intention, while this study reaches a research conclusion by considering both revisit and switching intention. According to the research result, (1) social interaction and SNS addiction influence other precedential factors; (2) enjoyment and usefulness increase SNS users' revisit intention; (3) SNS users would not consider switching to another SNS even they have negative opinions about their current SNS. This research result implies that, for SNS enterprises to dominate market, it is required to provide services so that SNS users can actively participate on social interaction activities, and a strategy is necessary to attract and turn SNS users with negative opinions into active participants.

  • Today, our digital media environments are shifting from a new biological paradigm that can be characterized by "personalization", "interaction", and "kinesis." According to this paradigm shift, the change of media skin is needed, which plays an important role on our urban environments. Thus, this research aims to propose a new media skin that supports user participation based on a new digital media paradigm. For this study, we begin by extracting the essential factors from the characteristics with personalization, interaction, and kinesis through exploring the theories related to the new digital media paradigm. Based on the extracted factors, we investigated the limitation of emerging media skins and proposed a new media skin in order to overcome it. The module-based media skin proposed in this study enables users to quickly and easily design and arrange their own form that they want and display diverse contents through intelligent interaction between modules. This research contributes to providing the framework for guiding designers when they design their media skins.

Generalized Conversion Formulas between Multiple Decrement Models and Associated Single Decrement Models (다중탈퇴모형과 절대탈퇴모형에서 전환 공식의 일반화)

  • Researches on conversion formulas between multiple decrement models and the associated single decrement models have focused on calculating yearly-based conversion formulas. In practice, actuaries may be more interested in monthly-based conversion formulas. Multiple decrement tables and their associated single decrement tables consist of yearly-based rates of multiple decrements and absolute rates of decrements, respectively. This paper derives conversion formulas from yearly-based absolute rates of decrements to monthly-based rates of decrement due to cause j under the uniform distribution of decrements(UDD). Next, it suggests conversion formulas from monthly-based absolute rates of decrements to monthly-based rates of decrement due to cause j under UDD. In addition, it calculates conversion formulas from yearly-based rates of decrement due to cause j to the corresponding absolute rates of decrements under UDD or constant force assumption. Some numerical examples are discussed.

Results of the Foreign Modal Shift Projects and Policy Directions for the Promotion of Modal Shift Services in Korea (외국의 전환교통(modal shift) 추진사례 분석과 국내 정책의 수립방향)

  • This paper deals with modal shift projects and policy of modal shift services at home and abroad. This study aims to review the results of foreign modal projects in advanced countries and to suggest policy directions for promoting modal shift services in Korea. This paper consists of three main sections: concept of modal shift policy; analysis of modal shift projects and policy at home and abroad; policy directions of modal shift services in Korea. In recent years, shippers who shift mode from truck to rail or coastal shipping are subsidized by the government. The government intends to encourage modal shift services of shippers, as shown in the example of Marco Polo in EU. It is identified that the government should devise effective policy for the successful implementation of truck-rail modal shift in Korea. It is suggested that the policy goal of modal shift must be clear and its attainment is feasible in order to promote modal shift services here. It also turns out that indirect supply policy works better than direct one. Freight transport environments differ between countries. It, thus, hard to directly apply foreign policies to Korea's freight transport field. Korea is at an inceptive stage of exploring foreign modal shift policies and promoting modal shift services in Korea. We will gain from the wide range of case studies, which analyze the modal shift successes and failures experienced by advanced countries. It is necessary to use them with care.

국방 공통운용환경 동향 연구

  • 국방 정보분야의 효율 효과적인 개발 및 운용을 위해 통합과 표준의 설정 등을 통한 상호운용성 확보가 요구된다. 상호운용성 표준화 기술은 전사적 아키텍처 기반 상호운용성 조정 통제, 플랫폼 중심의 상호운용성 확보를 위한 공통운용환경 및 데이터공유환경 구축에서 시작하여, 현재에는 네트워크 중심 환경에 적합한 SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) 기반 상호운용성 증진 전략으로 패러다임이 변화하고 있다. 미군의 경우 단일체계 관점에서 복합체계 관점으로 확대 적용을 위하여 기존의 공통운용환경 및 데이터 공유환경을 SOA 기반의 NCES(Net-Centric Enterprise Service)로 전환을 추진해왔다. 또한 이와 병행하여 미 육군 수준에서는 전쟁을 수행하는 각 객체를 컴퓨팅 환경으로 구분하여 육군 차원의 공통운용환경을 구축하고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 국방 공통운용환경의 동향을 미군의 사례를 중심으로 살펴보고 시사점을 도출한다.

Construction of a Transgenic Plant to Develop a New Method for the Isolation of Calmodulin-Binding Proteins (새로운 방법을 이용한 칼모둘린 결합 단백질 분리를 위한 형질 전환 식물체의 구축)

  • Calmodulin (CaM), a ubiquitous calcium-binding protein, regulates diverse cellular functions by modulating the activity of a variety CaM-binding proteins (CaMBPs). Because eukaryotes have multiple CaMBPs, it is important to isolate and characterize them in different tissues and conditions. So far a number of CaMBPs have been identified through classical screening methods. Many classes of proteins have been predicted to bind CaMs based on their structural homology with already known targets. In an effort to develop a method for large-scale analysis of CaMBPs in Arabidopsis, we have generated a transgenic plants overexpressing AtCaM2-GFP. We performed protein pull-down assay to test whether exogenously expressed AtCaM2-GFP proteins can interact with CaMBPs. The exogenously expressed AtCaM2-GFP could strongly interact with a CaMBP, AS1 protein. This result suggests that AtCaM2-GFP in transgenic plants may interact with many CaMBPs in plant cell. Therefore, we will be able to isolate kinds of CaMBPs by using these transgenic plants in many different tissue and environments.

  • Recently, it is requested interoperability and inter-connection among technologies due to network externalities and the rapid innovation in the telecommunications industry. Firms are technically tied up with the others the survival in the keen competition age. The switching cost is caused when a consumer changes his existing service to new one in the telecommunications. The switching cost hinders consumers from making a choice of better services or goods, and obstruct the fair competition among firms. In this paper, we will examin the effects on the competition among companies of the switching cost, and suggest national policies to promote the competition in the telecommunication markets.

Method of Transforming PDM Overlapping Relationships to BDM Overlapping Relationships in CPM Schedule (CPM 공정계획의 PDM 중복관계를 BDM 중복관계로 전환시키는 방법)

  • The reason why most scheduling softwares currently using at construction projects adopt PDM (Precedence Diagramming Method) is that it can express an overlapping relationship between activities. However, the overlapping relationships in PDM are represented only by combinations of four overlapping types that connect the start and finish points of two activities, therefore, PDM cannot express efficiently the relationships between any middle points of two activities if they should be represented. This research proposes the method of transforming the four overlapping types of PDM to the overlapping relationships of BDM(Beeline Diagramming Method), new networking technique, that can connect the inter-relationships at any middle points of two activities as well as express multiple overlapping relationships. The proposed method will help not only to improve an efficiency of scheduling but also to upgrade the scheduling technique because BDM technique has a lot of unique advantages in scheduling.
