  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로소프트의 홀로렌즈를 이용한 손 위치 추적 및 모션 인식과 아두이노를 통해 상황에 맞는 무게감을 사용자에게 전달할 수 있는 VR 인터페이스를 제안한다. 홀로렌즈는 혼합현실을 체험할 수 있지만 홀로렌즈를 이용해 가상의 물체를 잡았을 때 현실과의 물리적인 상호작용이 없기 때문에 현실감이 떨어져 몰입을 저하하는 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 혼합현실에서 사용자의 몰입을 개선하기 위해 아두이노를 이용하여 사용자에게 무게감을 효율적으로 전달하여 현실과 같은 몰입을 줄 수 있는 도르래 방식의 VR 인터페이스를 제안한다.

  • 이 논문은 서비스를 제공하는 로봇과 사용자가 상호작용하는 새로운 방식의 XR 인터페이스를 제안한다. 사용자는 제안한 XR 인터페이스를 통해 현실을 모사한 XR 공간 내에서 서비스 로봇에게 직관적으로 서비스 작업이나 공간 이동을 요청하고, 요청한 작업을 편리하게 관리할 수 있다. 이러한 명령, 이동, 편집은 용이하게 전환된다. HTC VIVE 와 Unity 엔진을 사용하여 프로토타입을 구현하였다. 추후 인터페이스를 실제 로봇 시스템과 통합하고, 사용자 테스트를 수행하여 사용성 향상을 검증하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a tangible RealBook based on the interface of TouchFace-V which is able to recognize multi-touch and hand gesture. The TouchFace-V is applied projection technology on a flat surface such as table, without constraint of space. The system's configuration is addressed installation, calibration, and portability issues that are most existing front-projected vision-based tabletop display. It can provide hand touch and gesture applying computer vision by adopting tracking technology without sensor and traditional input device. The RealBook deals with the combination of each advantage of analog sensibility on texts and multimedia effects of e-book. Also, it provides digitally created stories that would differ in experiences and environments with interacting users' choices on the interface of the book. We proposed e-book that is new concept of electronic book; named RealBook, different from existing and TouchFace-V interface, which can provide more direct viewing, natural and intuitive interactions with hand touch and gesture.

  • A script language, which represents and controls avatar behaviors in a natural language style, is especially remarkable, because it can provide a fast and easy way to develop an animation scenario script. However, the studies that consider avatar behavior interactions with various virtual objects and intuitive interface techniques to design scenario script have been lack. Therefore, we proposed a context-based avatar-object behavior model and layered script language. The model defines context-based elements to solve ambiguity problems that occur in abstract behavior interface and it provides user interface to control avatar in the object-based approach. Also, the proposed avatar behavior script language consisted of a layered structure that represents domain user interface, motion sequence, and implement environment information at each level. Using the proposed methods, the user can conveniently and quickly design an avatar-object behavior scenario script.

A Review on User Interface Research in the Field of Information Science (사용자 인터페이스 연구에 관한 분석적 고찰: 정보학분야 학회지 논문을 중심으로)

  • The aims of this study are to provide an overview of research trends on user interface in the field of Information Science. This study attempts to address the following four questions: 1) what are the research areas or subject topics, 2) what are the patterns of user interface publication, 3) what methods are often used to what topics, and 4) what are the changes in the subject topics and research methods over the past ten years. It analyzed a total of 128 research articles published in four Korean LIS journals and one U.S. journal. The study also reviewed 72 articles published in Korean journals for identifying research trends. The study found that the most productive areas were 'web site evaluation', followed by 'search interface', 'information design' and 'interaction style design'. The most frequently used research methods were survey methods, followed by unobtrusive methods, and experiments. Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management published the most articles on research of user interface. The research of user interface was conducted more frequently in the early 2000s than later years.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the interaction effect of Web site menu designs and information structures on two information searching performances (searching and browsing) and three measures of users' attitudes (appeal, usability, and disorientation). Pronounced interaction effects occurred across four dependent variables except searching when decreasing and increasing information structure were combined with a simple selection menu and a pull-down menu. Further studies are needed to investigate additional interactions among factors of interface and information structure of Web sites.

  • According to rapid growth of web environment, user interface design needs to support the complex interactions between human and computer. In the paper we suggest the object modeling method for Qualify Improvement of User Interface. We propose the 4 business event's object modeling phases such as business event object modeling, task object modeling, transaction object modeling, and form object modeling to enhance visual cohesion of UI. As a result, this 4 phases in this paper allows us to enhance visual cohesion of User Interface prototype. We have found that the visual cohesion of business events become strong and unskilled designer can develope the qualified user interface prototype. And it also improves understanding of business task and reduces prototype system development iteration.

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자와의 실시간 상호작용을 활용하여 역사적 사실을 전달하는 반응형 미디어 아트 작품 을 보인다. 본 작품은 젊은 계층의 역사적 무관심을 김이 서리는 현상에 비유하고 사용자가 서린 김을 닦음으로써 잊고 있던 아픈 역사와 마주하게 되는 내용으로 구성된다. 김이 서리는 자연 현상과 서린 김을 닦는 행위를 영상으로 표현하였으며, 서려있는 정도와 사용자의 손 움직임에 따라 영상과 음향이 상이하게 반응한다. 이는 관객의 역사에 대한 무관심을 스스로 닦음으로서 역사적 본질과 마주할 수 있다는 의미를 극대화 한다.

Development of Feature-based Classification Software for High Resolution Satellite Imagery (고해상도 위성영상의 분류를 위한 형상 기반 분류 소프트웨어 개발)

  • In this paper, we investigated a method for feature-based classification to develop a software which is suitable for the classification of high resolution satellite imagery. We developed algorithms for image segmentation and fuzzy-based classification required for feature-based classification and designed user interfaces to support interaction with user, considering various elements required for the feature-based classification. Evaluation of the software was accomplished using real image. Classification results were compared and analysed with eCognition software which is unique commercial software for feature-based classification. The classification results from both softwares showed essentially same results and the developed software showed better result in the processing speed.
