  • In this paper, we construct the controller for the heat exchanger system using iterative method. For awlying the linear quadratic control theory to the heat exchanger system which is represented by the bilinear system, we fomrulate the bilinear system to execute iteration We also propose Extended Kalman Filter to estimate bilinear system state for the purpose of state feedback controller design. We also awly the iterative controller to the thennal power plant superheater system temperature control, and computer simulation show that the estimated value follows the superheater steam temperature under the variation of the external inputs, and that the output steam temperature is properly maintained.tained.

  • In this paper, an observer-based intelligent controller for the nonlinear networked control systems with packet loss is proposed for wireless sensor network. For the intelligent control of the nonlinear system, it uses the fuzzy system with Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. The observer is designed for the fuzzy networked control system, and the output feedback controller is proposed for the stability of estimates and errors. The stability condition of the closed-loop system with the proposed controller is represented to the linear matrix inequality (LMI) form, and the observer and control gain are obtained by LMI. An example is given to show the verification discussed throughout the paper.

  • This paper deals with the H$_{\infty}$ control problems for discrete-time linear systems with time-varying delays in states. The existence condition and the design method of the H$_{\infty}$ state feedback controller are given. In this paper, the H$_{\infty}$ control law is assumed to be a memoryless state feedback, and the upper-bound of time-varying delay and S-procedure are used. Through some changes of variables and Schur complement, the obtained sufficient condition can be rewritten as an LMI(linear matrix inequality) form in terms of all variables.

  • In this paper, the new robust torsional vibration suppression control scheme is proposed for the two mass system. A reduced order state feedback controller where the motor speed and the observed torsional torque are fed back and the PI controller are proposed as the torsional vibration suppression controller. Using the estimated mechanical parameters by off-line RLS(Recursive Least Square) algorithms, the speed controller for torsional vibration suppression is designed and its gains are determined using the Kharitonov robust control theory. The Kharitonov robust control theory can obtain the robust stability with a specified stability margin and a damping limit and the good performance of vibration suppression although if the parameters are varied within some specified limit. The effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed schemes are verified with the simulation and the experimental results on the fully-digitalized 5.5kW two mass system.

  • The evolution of networking technology such as commercialization of 5G systems provides foundation for information exchange and control of systems over the network. In addition, importance of controlling a system with delay is increasing significantly, since various phenomena in the network are associated with delay. In this paper, with a predictive control which has been studied for designing a controller with low complexity, we propose a novel predictive control for a system with multi-inputs such that it can keeps the complexity almost the same regardless of the number of inputs and degree of delay. The asymptotic stability of the proposed control with a static output feedback is also proved. The numerical simulation shows that the proposed method is superior in complexity and the performance of finding feasible controllers to the existing predictive control and a conventional method based on augmented states.

  • Globally stabilizing adaptive fuzzy state- and output-feedback controllers for the fully nonaffine pure-feedback nonlinear system are proposed in this paper. By reformulating the original pure-feedback system to a standard normal form with respect to newly defined state variables, the proposed controllers require no backstepping design procedures. Avoiding backstepping makes the controller structure and stability analysis to be considerably simplified. For the global stabilty of the clossed-loop system, the self-structuring fuzzy system whose memebership functions and fuzzy rules are automatically generated and tuned is adopted. The proposed controllers employ only one fuzzy logic system to approximate unknown nonlinear function, which highlights the simplicity of the proposed adaptive fuzzy controller. Moreover, the output-feedback controller of the considered system proposed in this paper have not been dealt with in any literature yet.

  • A design and DSP-based implementation of robust nonlinear speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) under the unknown parameter variations and speed measurement error is presented. The model reference adaptive system(MRAS) based adaptation mechanisms for the estimation of slowly varying parameters are derived using the MIT rule. For the disturbances or quickly varying parameters, a quasilinearized and decoupled model which includes the influence of parameter variations and speed measurement error on the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is derived. Based on this model, a boundary layer integral sliding mode controller to improve the robustness and performance of the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is designed and compared with the conventional controller which employs Proportional plus Derivative(PD) control. To show the validity of the proposed scheme, simulations and DSP-based experimental works are carried out and compared with the conventional control scheme.

  • A new control method for robust position control of brushless dc motor is presented. The model of brushless dc motor is approximately linearized by field-orentation method, and it is shown that augmented state variable feedback can be applied to this system. In addition, robustness is obtained without any change of overall system response. Load disturbance is detected by 0-observer of unknown and inaccessible input, and is compensated by feedforward which has fast response. Overall system is controlled by using the MC68000 microprocessor, and the performance of the proposed control algorithm is verified by the results of simulation and experiment.

  • In this paper, a novel nonlinear control method of the CVCF(constant voltage and constant frequency) output voltage for the three-phase PWM inverter with LC output filters is proposed. A nonlinear modeling including the output LC filters is linearized by feedback linearization theory, the controllers of which can be designed based on a linear control theory. It is applied to the DC/AC power conversion of the PWM inverter for stand-alone wind power generation system. It has been verified by the experimental results that the proposed control scheme gives high dynamic responses at load variation as well as a zero steady-state error.
