산업장 근로자의 건강증진 행위 (A Study on the Industrial Workers' Health Promoting Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the major factors affecting performance of health promoting behavior and Pender's health promotion model was examined. The subjects were 508 workers employed in 4 manufacturing industries, data was collected from May 19th to 24th, 1997 using questionaires and it was used convenient sampling method. Data were analyzed by SPSS Win 6.1 program. The results of this study were as follows 1. The average score of health promoting behavior was 2.47. 2. The Health promoting behavior in the relationships between health promoting behavior and demographic factors, there is statistically significant difference in age(F=2.56, P=.0378), religion(F=6.34, P=.0001), working type(F=4.56, P=.0036)variables. 3. The performance score of health promoting behavior was statistically positively correlated with Definition of health(r=.2471. P=.000), Self-efficacy(r=.1385, P=.002), Internal health locus of control(r=.126, P=.000), External health locus of control(r=.2550, P=.000), Chance health locus of control(r=.3023, P=.000), but negatively with Perceived health status(r=-.2076, P=.000). 4. The major factors were Chance health locus of control. Definition of health, working hours, self-efficacy, External health locus of control. and explained for $39.58\%$ of Health promoting behavior performance score.

건강증진을 위한 산업장에서의 금연프로그램 적용의 일 연구 (A Study on the Application of a Health Promotion Program about No Smoking in Industry)

  • This study was conducted to diffusion of the health promotion program about no smoking in industry. No smoking program model composed of assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation was developed through the method of literature review and applied to 27 smokers of the management team and dept. of the 1st production in one industry, from October 27 to November 3D, 1993. For the analysis, descriptive statistics and paired t-test were used. The result of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The object was composed of no smoking and reduced smoking. The achievement rate of object was $48\%$. 2. As a result of the implementation of no smoking program, $11\%$ of no smoking rate was obtained. 3. After application of no smoking program, the health age was a little lower but statistical significations was not found. 4. Health education and support of family were effective in health promotion program. Complementary measures about indivisual activity for no smoking were required in no smoking program. In conclusion, subject's response about no smoking program was high and health education and support of family were effective in health promotion· program. And nurses were expected to do their roles as a planner, intervener, manager and supporter in health promotion services.

산업장 안전보건교육 관리요인 (Management Factors Associated with Health and Safety Education in Korean Manufacturing Companies)

  • Objectives: Safety is a primary health promotion issue in worksite because injury induces multi-fold loss of the human and economic resources to profit organization. The purposes of this study were to describe worksite health and safety education and management status in Korean manufacturing companies. Methods: The original population size of Korean manufacturing industry in 2004 was 74,398 and 2,960 factories were selected by the multiple stratified sampling method for this study. The health and safety manager or representatives of the selected 2,960 companies successfully finished in the face-to-face interview survey about company's general characteristics, health and safety management style, health and safety education hours conducted by the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Results: The manufacturing companies in Seoul and Kyunggi areas, small size, and clothes and press industries were related to low health and safety management and education status. The companies which assigned at least one safety manager were 70.5% and which had a health and safety room within the company were only 9.3%. The companies which took the health and safety education for their regular blue-collar employees more than the legal education hours were under 56.1% and the percentage of the companies which took their health and safety education for newcomers less than the legal limits was lower than any other types of health and safety education in workplace. The significant strong workplace health and safety management variables in predicting employee health and safety education were psycho-social variables such as the company own health and safety regulation and the workplace health and safety management committee organization. rather than physical variables such as health manager employment, safety manager employment. Conclusions: Systematic and legal approaches are effective to encourage workplace health and safety education, specifically, through sustaining health and safety managers and building the company-wide health and safety management system. Furthermore, theses approaches should primarily focus on the small companies of which sizes were under 50.

산업장 안전보건교육 프로그램 평가지표 개발 (Development of Evaluation Indicator on Industrial Safety and Health Education Program)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to verify the validity of the evaluation indicators on safety and health education programs provided to Korean industrial workers, by developing further. Methods: To develop the early evaluation indicator, the secondary analysis was made on 'Survey on Industrial safety & health trends', the national wide survey data product by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency, as well as the various examinations on literatures. To validate such developed evaluation indicator, 13 safety and health managers in Focus Group discussion to prove the reliability of the contents were composed. To confirm the face validity, the interview with 6 industrial safety and health education experts was held to study the appropriateness of the content. With the cooperation from Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency, the structured survey was performed with the safety and health managers from 588 businesses who participated in the education program for the later half of 2006. In this study, the number of responses was randomly divided into 1:1 two groups, in which one group was for the Exploratory Factor Analysis and the other group was for the Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Results: The results were as follows. First, for the Structure category, 18 evaluation indicators were developed into 4 evaluation categories such as a preliminary examination, education staff and organization, education environment and rules/ regulation. Secondly, the Activity category was comprised of 10 evaluation indicators with respect to 2 areas of curriculum satisfaction and program evaluation. Finally, for the Output category, 9 evaluation indicators were developed into 2 evaluation areas such as documentation and information share and education effects. Conclusions: The evaluation indicators developed through this study will possibly develop and be applied to evaluation tools on safety and health education program, which may further become the standardized indicators to better operate the industrial safety and health education programs.

일 지역 근로자의 건강증진행위 예측모형 (Prediction Model for Health Promotion Behaviors of the Workers in an Area)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to confirm a structural model for health promotion for industrial workers. Methods: Data was collected by questionnaires from 294 industrial workers at a food manufacturing factory. The data collected were analyzed through SAS 8.1 and Window LISREL 8.12a. Results: 1. The result of the test showed that the measurement of fitness was $x^2$=(삭제) 443.35, $x^2$/df 5.3415, GFI .86, AGFI .75, RMR .060, NFI .95, NNFI .93, CN 77.58, and those other than NFI and NNFI did not well fit into the practical data. 2. 15 out of 29 paths in a constructed model were statistically significant. 3. The measurements for total fitness in the modified model were $x^2$= (삭제) 146.51, $x^2$/df 1.8546, GFI .95, AGFI .91, RMR .042, NFI .98, NNFI .99, CN 223.44, all of which showed fitness in good shape to the practical data. 4. The result of the study for the modified model indicated that perceived self efficacy had the most significant direct effect on health promotion behaviors, and self esteem, perceived benefits of action, interpersonal influences, commitment to a plan of action were important factors having influences on them. Conclusion: The derived model in this study is considered appropriate in explaining and predicting health promoting behavior of industrial workers. Therefore, it can effectively be used as a reference model for further studies and suggested implication in nursing practice.

산업장 근로자의 건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석 (The Determinants of Health Promoting Behavior of Industrial Workers)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the major factors affecting performance in health promoting behavior. The subjects for this study were 414 workers employed in one transportation manufacturing plant in Pusan and were obtained by a convenience sample. Data were collected from November 11th to December 21th, 1996 by structured questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS PC. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The average score of performance in the health promoting behavior was 2.42 ; the range of the score was from 1.44 to 3.71. The variable with the highest degree of performance was self-actualization, whereas the one with the lowest degree was exercise. 2. In the relationships between demographic variables and performance in the health promoting behavior, only the shift system showed statistically significant differences in the total of health promoting behavior ; especially the group of no shift operation was higher in the performance of subscale such as exercise, nutrition, interpersonal support than that of the shift operation. Some demographic variables showed significant differences in the subscale of the health promoting behavior ; age, worker's career and marital status. 3. Performance in the health promoting behavior was significantly correlated with perceived health status, health conception, self-efficacy, perceived benefits and perceived barriers. 4. The most important factor that affects performance in the health promoting behavior was self-efficacy. The combination of self-efficacy, perceived benefits, perceived health status, perceived barriers, shift system and department of work accounted for 31.05% of the variance in health promoting behavior.

산업장 근로자의 건강상태와 건강습관의 관련요인분석 (The Relationships between Health Status and Health Practices among Industrial Workers)

  • This study attempted to analyze the health habits affecting health status of industrial workers. Data was collected from 57 industries of 900 workers at Inchon. The research has been carried out through self-administered questionnaire and from the analysis of the health examination records and the results were as follows: 1. Among 861 respondents, men were 81.2%, women were 18.8%, 42, 6% were of the 30-40 age group, the married were 65.7%, the single were 32.5%, the high school graduates were 62.4% and 37.3% were of people who worked between 1 and 5 years. 2. As far as the seven health habits, current smokers were 54.9%, people who regularly exercise was 31.7%, 7-8 hour of sleep, on the average were 74.0%, people eating breakfast nearly every day were 8.0%, and people eating between meals almost every day were 54.2%. Heavy drinkers who drink 3-4 times or more per week were 13.2%, 1-2 times per week were 26.8% and the obese were 4.6%, 3. Health status of A and B, estimated by doctors in the health examination were 81.7% and C, D1, D2, the unhealthy were 18.3%. Men were reported more than women in unhealthy groups and the results regarding health status reflect gender, educational level and age, That is to say that, lower educational level group and over 30 years of age group perceive their health to be worse than the higher educational level and under 30 age group, And these differences were statistically significant. 4. The relationship between health habits and health status, expressed in terms of the odds ratio. Current smokers had a consistently worse health status than a nonsmokers with a 1.36 odds ratio. The workers who reported eating breakfast rarely or never were more associated with the unhealthy group than the regular breakfast eating group with a 2.48 odds ratio. One or more drink per week had a worse health status than a never or a little drinker with a 1.42 odds ratio. 5, The Health habits score and duration of work were selected as significant factors influencing health status based on logistic analysis. According to the results of this model, the odds ratio of good health status was 2.06 for good health habit score, 1.55 for population who worked seven years or more duration of work. As we have seen, good practices were found to be associated with better health and the effect of the health habits was cummulative;those who followed 6-7 health habits were in better health, even though they were older than those who failed to do so. Therefore, in order to provide the health promotion of workers it is necessary to establish a health management plan for an effective health education and health service. If we use this type of study as a prospective study design, we can get a precise basic data for health promotion and a management plan for industrial workers.

유산균 발효 천연소재 혼합물의 항비만 효과 (Effect of Fermented Natural Materials Mixtures with Lactobacilluse acidophilus on Anti-obesity Activity)

  • 최근 식생활의 변화로 인한 동물성 포화지방, 고칼로리 식품의 섭취 증가와 운동 부족, 스트레스 등의 여러 요인으로 비만인구 비율이 증가 추세를 보이고 있다. 유자, 석류등 천연소재 추출액에는 플라보노이드 성분이 풍부하여 항암, 항산화, 항염증, 항미생물 활성 등 생리활성이 있는 것으로 보고된 바 있다. 발효유로 대표되는 유산균 제품은 장 건강, 항산화 등 다양한 장점을 지니고 있으나, 짧은 유통기간 및 냉장유통 등 보존성에 있어 취약점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 천연 추출물을 주원료로 Lactobacillus acidophilus로 발효한 천연소재발효물을 활용하여 항비만 효과에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 유산균 발효유의 풍미 유지하면서 유통기간을 늘릴 수 있는 가공법을 개발하고 건강식품 소재 개발 및 산업화를 통하여 국민의 건강 증진을 도모하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 천연소재 프로바이오틱스 발효물을 제조하여 세포독성, NO생성 억제능, 항비만 활성, 관능검사를 수행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 천연소재 추출물 및 천연소재추출발효혼합물을 각각 10, 50, 100, $500{\mu}g/mL$의 농도로 처리한 시험구들의 세포생존율을 측정한 결과 가장 고농도인 $500{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 각각 96.2, 95.1, 97.3, 96.2, 98.1, 97.0 %로 확인되어, 높은 수준의 안전성이 확인되었다. 천연소재 추출물 및 천연소재추출발효혼합물의 항염증효과를 분석하고자 수행한 Nitrite 생성저해 효과를 분석한 결과, NO 생성율은 $500{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 각각 98.1, 98.2, 96.2, 97.3, 91.2, 95.3 %로 확인되어 시험구 D의 항염증 활성이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 동일한 농도로 처리하였을 때 lipid accumulation은 각각 100.0, 99.1, 98.2, 98.5, 87.6, 91.8 %로 나타나 D시험구와 E시험구에서 지방세포 분화억제효과가 확인되었다. 관능검사 시행 결과, 농축비율에 따른 관능적 기호도는 5 brix > 3 brix > 1 brix > 10 brix 순으로 나타났다.

  • This study was conducted to contribute to the expansion of activity areas of nurses in the fiel of health promotion services whose importance are increasing day by day. To achieve such goals the writer analized the social values of health promotion services through the method of literature reveiw and held workshops five times with the research team to develop a new program model applicable in health centers and industry. As a conclusion, we recommended the following roles of nurses to be reevaluted an reinforced: 1. Roles as advertizers of the importance of keeping positive health, its social diffussion, an making social environments supporting it. 2. Roles of intervention to change life-styles into positive, active, and client-centered ones 3. Roles of communicators, planners, and managers for the contribution to the maximization of team efficiency with a view to reducing health risk and preventing health threat.

  • 최근 20년간 건강 및 질병 예방효과를 가진 식품에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 오늘날 대다수의 노인들이 동물성 지방 과다 섭취로 인한 질환(예: 심혈관계 질병, 당뇨병)을 겪고 있으며, 이 질환으로 인한 세계 인구 사망률은 3번째로 높다. 최근 많은 사람들이 기능성 식품을 찾고 있으며, 기능성 식품은 모든 식품 부문, 그 중에서도 주로 낙농제품, 과자류, 청량음료, 제빵, 유아식 등의 부문에서 개발되고 있다. 식품 산업들이 새로운 식품분야에 도전함으로써 여러 가능성(예: 지방산 함유량의 재조리 또는 식이 섬유, 산화 방지제, probiotic 첨가를 통한 원료 및 가공물질의 성분 조절)을 시도해 볼 수 있게 되었다. 우유 및 유제품이 건강에 이로운 식품으로 인식되고 있으며, 우유에는 인체에 유익한 여러 가지의 생물적으로 활성화된 요소와 활성균이 함유되어 있다. 이 박테리아들은 우유에 존재하는 성분을 변형시킬 뿐만 아니라, 몇몇 심각한 질병을 완화시키며, 방부제 역할도 한다. 미생물의 상호 작용을 통해 발효된 유제품은 직접적으로 또는 발효과정중 생산된 비타민, 단백질, 펩타이드, 올리고당, 유기산 등의 대사산물을 통해 간접적으로 기능적 역할을 수행한다. probiotic 균이 면역반응(예: 사이토카인 및 항균 펩타이드 생산 조절)에 작용하는 기전을 토대로 이 박테리아들이 건강에 영향을 미치는 기전이 연구되고 있다. 유청 단백질은 항균 및 항발암 성질을 가지고 있으며, 여러 기능(예: 면역자극 생산, 건강 증진, 지방 침적 감소, 인슐린 감수성 향상등)을 가지고 있다. 유제품에 존재하는 박테리아와 특정 성분이 건강을 미치는 영향이 연구를 통해 밝혀지고 있다. 우유에 함유된 기능성 단백질, 생리활성, 펩타이드, 필수 지방산, 칼슘, 비타민 D 등의 물질은 면역체계, 심장혈관계, 위장관, 장 등의 건강을 증진시키며, 고혈압, 관상혈관질환, 비만, 골다공증, 암, 당뇨, 전달질병 등의 질환을 예방한다. 기능성 낙농식품에 함유된 성분들은 다양하게 응용되고 있다. 예를 들면, 카세인으로부터 파생된 포스포펩타이드가 식이보충제 및 제약보충제의 제조과정에 사용되고 있으며, 우유로부터 파생된 성장인자가 피부질환, 소화기계질환, 다리궤양, 건선, 내장, 골다공증 등을 치료하는 목적으로 사용되고 있다. 유제품을 통한 식이조절이 비만관리 및 예방에 도움이 될 가능성이 있으며, 건강을 증진시키는 질을 예방 및 치료 물질의 성분으로 사용될 것으로 여겨진다. 따라서 우유와 유제품이 기능성 식품 및 이 식품의 성분으로 사용될 가능성을 적극적으로 개발하는 연구가 절실히 요구되고 지속적으로 진행되어야 할 것이다.
