Objectives: This study aim to determine adolescent meal time, which provides the important context of parent-child sharing time. We divided mealtime into family meal and alone meal, and analyzed the time/space context of each meal time as well as the social determinations. Method: We employed adolescents age 10-18 who live with married patents and attends school at the present (n=5,128) from the original data of Korean Time Use Survey. Results: More adolescent were engaged in family meal rather than eating alone in daily bases. However, the trend show difference by day of week and academic grade; family meal are more prevalent in weekends rather than weekdays. As adolescent reaches high school age, the proportion of eating alone beats the proportion of family meal time. Most of the meal occur at home. Having meal outside was relatively scares, especially on weekdays. Tobit and logistic analysis reveal that, on weekday meal, less school hours, more time spent at the private academy, having family leisure event, and long mother's housework hours were positively associated with family meal time. In weekend model, father's education gradient was associated with family meal time, showing higher the father's education level, there were higher chance of having weekend family meal. As for the eating alone, relevant factors were similar with family meal but the directions were the opposite; having family leisure were negatively associated with alone meal, both weekdays and weekend. Long academy hours, meal preparing and leisure alone were positively associated eating alone. Overall, weekday meal time was strongly linked with adolescent daily schedules and time use, while for weekends meal, in both family meal and alone meal, the influence of parent factors were discovered. Conclusion: The results indicates that alone meal and the family meal are not exclusively related but seem to be complementary. Families tend to enjoy family meal yet, there are some necessary situation that adolescent need to be on their own. Increase in ready-made food industries, growing independence of children by age seem partly allow adolescent children to eat alone. Careful attentions may require for monitoring weekends meal situation and the family factor of adolescent in future studies.
In the present study, practical measures were to be presented for prevention of smartphone game addiction and school violence by analysis of the effects aspect of the smartphone game addition by elementary school students on school violence awareness. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the subject of 6th graders attending an elementary school located in K city of Jeollanam-do, and a total of 258 copies were utilized as the final analysis data. Considering the analysis results, significant differences in the smartphone game addition were observed first as a function of the elementary school students' sex and game use time. The level of smartphone game addiction was observed to become higher for male students than female students, and the higher the longer the game use time during a day. Secondly, a positive (+) correlation was observed to exist between the smartphone game addiction and the school violence awareness. Thirdly, the variable affecting the school violence awareness among individual sub-variables for the smartphone game addiction was shown to be a problem with loss of control and power of reality test. The higher the addiction level of each variable, the negative tendency for school violence awareness was shown to be increased. Based on such analysis results, policy-wise, practical suggestions as well as directions for the follow-up studies have been presented for the improvement of smartphone game addiction and school violence awareness.
The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship between parental attachment, behavior problem, and empathetic capabilities. For this study, the researcher chose the study participants among the North-Korean defector high school students who are currently attending high schools. The survey was conducted over the period from April 4 to June 10, 2020. A total of 257 questionnaires were used for this study. The data of this study were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. The findings of this study were as follows; First, the parental attachment of the juvenile North Korean defectors had a negative impact on delinquency. Second, the parental attachment of the juvenile North Korean defectors had a positive impact on empathetic capabilities. Third, the empathetic capabilities of juvenile North Korean defectors had a negative impact on delinquency. Fourth, in the relationship between parental attachment and delinquency, the empathetic capability was shown to have a significant mediating effect. This study showed that, in the perspective of social welfare or psycho-therapy, it is necessary to develop various programs to enhance the empathetic capabilities of juvenile North Korean defectors while helping them form a healthy attachment to their parents in order to reduce their delinquency.
The purpose of this study is to identify the psychological characteristics of the elderly and to investigate the variables that affect the life satisfaction of the elderly. To achieve this purpose, psychological characteristics such as self-esteem, alienation, loss, and depression were selected. A survey was conducted on the elderly living in Gwangju Metropolitan City. A total of 218 copies were collected and 203 copies were analyzed, excluding poor responses. To draw the results of the research, quantitative analysis was conducted through questionnaires, and SPSSWIN 21.0 statistical program was used as an analysis tool. The analysis methods were frequency and ratio analysis, technical statistical analysis, bivariate correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, the relationship between the psychological characteristics of the elderly showed significant correlations among the self-esteem, alienation, loss, depression, and life satisfaction of the elderly. Second, for the elderly, alienation and depression had a negative effect on life satisfaction, and self-esteem had a positive effect on life satisfaction. However, loss did not have a significant effect on life satisfaction. In conclusion, it suggests that it is necessary to develop and operate policies and programs to improve self-esteem and reduce alienation and depression in order to improve the quality of life of the elderly.
In this study, we sought to investigate how animal-assisted therapy using therapy dogs affects the relationship between children's self-esteem and age. The subjects of the study were 20 children in the lower grades of elementary school in I City who were recommended by a school social worker and their homeroom teacher, and 10 control groups of 10 experimental groups were selected. From October 1st to December 17th, 2019, the program conducted an animal-mediated treatment program once a week for 50 minutes for 12 sessions. Using SPSS 20.0 for verification, the experimental and control groups were analyzed by performing pre- and post-relationship calm scale measurements of self-esteem and age. As a result, first, the overall self-esteem of the experimental group (Z = -2.75, p<.05), the self-esteem at home (Z = -2.02, p<.05), and the academic self-esteem (Z = -2.06, p<. 05) shows a statistically significant difference. Second, significant differences were shown in overall peer relationships(Z=-3.83, p<.05), scrupulosity(Z=-2.68, p<.05), and empathy(Z=-2.81, p<.05) in the experimental population. Therefore, in this study, it was confirmed that animal-assisted therapy using therapy dogs had a positive effect on the relationship between children's self-esteem and age.
Social TV users and content are increasing day by day. The main purpose was to study the motivation for social television users, but I felt the need to analyze the potential psychological impact of users in various content. This study analyzed the impact on psychological well-being due to the interaction and viewing satisfaction by the object relations theory factors of social TV user in Korea. A survey was conducted on students of N university, ordinary university, and ordinary people who have experience using social TV to prove the observations or experiments of empirical facts in this study. Research result, First, Nonalienation have been have a positive effect on interaction and viewing satisfaction. Second, stable attachment have been have a positive effect on interaction. Third, social competence have been have a positive effect on interaction. Fourth, interaction have been have a positive effect on viewing satisfaction and psychological well-being. Fifth viewing satisfaction have been have a positive effect on Psychological well-being. Through this, This will contribute to the development of subdivided content and user-customized services for social television, and it is necessary to reconfigure and study various events that may occur between users in the future.
Objectives : This study looked at the effects of chronic IPV on suicide ideation among married women in the country. Methods : This study used data from the five-year-old Korea Welfare Panel and analyzed using questions about verbal and physical violence, depression and suicide ideation that were investigated every year. Age, education, and economic levels, drinking, religion, chronic disease, satisfaction with family relationship, satisfaction with social relationship, were included as variables. Results : The five-year cumulative score of verbal violence had a statistically significant effect on the depressive symptom, and the relative risk was 1.180. The relative risk of five-year-old cumulative score of verbal violence in suicidal ideation was 1.276, and it was also significant even if they exclude the effects of depressive symptom. On the other hand, the five-year cumulative score of physical violence was found to have no significant impact on suicide ideation if they excluded the effects of depressive symptom. Conclusions : Unlike previous studies, this study found that chronic verbal IPVs increase suicide ideation, even though they do not contain effects of depression. Such findings suggest that intervention in IPV in married women may help reduce the nation's suicide rate.
This study seeks to establish the structural relationship between the personal psychological risk factors of teenagers of depression, anxiety and impulsiveness and smartphone addiction (daily disability, virtual orientation, tolerance, withdrawal) and self-elasticity (vitality, optimism, curiosity, interpersonal relationships). Through this verification, the purpose of this study is to find out if the integrated model of smartphone addiction and self-elasticity and smartphone addiction among teenagers is reasonable, and to suggest ways to prevent and solve smartphone addiction among teenagers. In order to achieve this purpose, 356 teenagers in Seoul and the metropolitan area were surveyed for two months from August to September 2019 and the results were analyzed. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the "smartphone addiction factors" (depression, anxiety and impulsive) of adolescents have been shown to have negative effects on their self-elasticity (vitality, optimism, curiosity, interpersonal relationships). Second, the "smartphone addiction factors" (depression, anxiety and impulsive) of teenagers have been shown to have positive effects on the "smartphone addiction" (daily disability, virtual orientation, tolerance, withdrawal). Third, the youth's "self-elasticity (vitality, optimism, curiosity, interpersonal relationship)" was shown to have a negative impact on "smartphone addiction (daily disability, virtual orientation, tolerance, withdrawal)." The significance of this study is that it has examined personal psychological risk factors that affect smartphone addiction and suggested measures to prevent smartphone addiction among teenagers and solve related problems by micro-analyzing the effects on smartphone addiction by utilizing self-elasticity.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of the anger provoking situation scale using the mixed research method. For this purpose, three research methods were used: content analysis of domestic and international anger-inducing situation scale, NAS-PI factor and reliability analysis of youth anger-provoking scale, and FGI with youth expert. In the results of NAS-PI, there were four categories of 'unrespectful treatment', 'unfairness', 'annoying traits of others', and 'irritation' except 'frustration' among five categories. The results of the FGI consisted of seven categories: 'rejection', 'physical and verbal violence', 'ignorance', 'frustration', 'control and restraint', 'rumination', and 'interpersonal relationship'. As a result of integrating these contents, it is finally possible to reconstruction in to seven categories such as 'unfairness', 'injustice', 'ignorance', 'control and restraint', 'ignorance', 'frustration' 'interpersonal relationship'. The meaning of this study is to provide the basic data for the development of the anger provoking situation scale for domestic adolescents by integrating the contents analysis and quantitative and qualitative researches of domestic and international anger provoking situation scale. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is necessary to study the anger provoking situations reflecting sociocultural context, and to develop the reliability and validity of the anger provoking situation scale.

This study was conducted with the main purpose of designing a roadmap for the development and operation of the Duksung IiRUM personality education curriculum from the perspective of alternatives to the educational innovation of Duksung Women's University. The research method consisted of a procedure of analyzing the literature dealing with theoretical considerations or case plans to establish the foundation of the university personality education curriculum, along with an expert meeting. The contents of this study are presented a roadmap of how the personality education curriculum, which should be newly constructed from the alternative point of view of educational innovation, which has not been established the foundation of personality education throughout the current curriculum of Duksung Women's University, can be designed in a convergent manner in the current curriculum composition. Accordingly, various measures have been suggested to develop and operate the Duksung IiRUM personality education curriculum across subject matters education and extracurricular education programs. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the Duksung IiRUM personality education curriculum at Duksung Women's University could be developed in a balanced and convergent manner with the existing and current curriculum composition, and could also be expected to operate effectively.
