The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of family support and social support on life satisfaction of middle aged men. Data were collected from 188 middle aged men and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS 20.0. The results were summarized as follows: Levels of family support, social support and life satisfaction were moderate and there were significant differences according to the education, marital status, occupation, average income, economic status, employment status, living arrangement, and health status. Family support, social support and life satisfaction were significantly correlated. Family support and social support explained 51.5% of life satisfaction of middle aged men. Therefore, it is necessary to be considered family support and social support for promoting life satisfaction of middle aged men.

This study examines the mediating effects of social support on the relationship between health status and depression of the elderly in Korea. Through stratified multi-state random sampling, 1409 individuals aged 65 and over who lived in Seoul and Chunchen, and who had their own children were selected. Social support was composed of three types: emotional support, instrumental and financial support, and included both support-received from and provided to children. The multiple regression model proposed by Kenny and Baron was used. As the results, first, the elderly get more depressed when having lower health status and lower social support. Second, there is a partial mediating effect of social support in association with health status and depression. Comparing by gender, instrumental support received from children, and emotional and instrumental support provided to children are mediators in the link between health status and depression in the case of male. In the case of female, emotional, instrumental and financial support received from children, and instrumental and financial support provided to children shows the mediating effects between health status and depression. The results suggest that social support both received from and provided to children reduces the negative impacts of health status on depression of the elderly in Korea.

This study is empirical research to understand degree of social support and to analysis influence of social support on life's satisfaction of the marriage immigrant women. By precedent study, social support was classified by emotional support factor, evaluating support factor, material support factor and informational support factor. To achieve oblectives of study, it was sampling, aurvey and statistical anlysis. According to result of study, only evaluating support factor was appeared to attentional influence statistically on life's satisfaction of them. Therefore for life's satisfaction of the marriage immigrant women, it have to evaluating support, for example acceptance of valuation and personality, praise, and encouragement on them.

The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of hope relationships among social support, social stigma and quality of life. It was conducted to measure social support, social stigma, hope and quality of life from 197 HIV-infected people. Data collection was carried out through one-on-one interviews by counselling nurse. The mediating effect was analyzed through Structure Equation Model using AMOS 21.0 program and indirect effect was analyzed by bootstrapping method. As a result of analysis, first, social support had a significant positive effect on quality of life. But social stigma had a significant negative effect on quality of life. Second, social support had a significant positive effect on hope. But social stigma had a significant negative effect on hope. Third, hope had significant mediating effect within the influence of social support and social stigma on quality of life. It is suggested to develop and apply comprehensive intervention program for improve quality of life of HIV infected people in community.

The purpose of this study is to find out whether social support perceived by a health science student affects career stress and to provide basic data for counseling using social support as an effective career guidance. This study subject to 307 students from J university in Jeonju. The survey was conducted by questionnaire. The survey content consisted of social support, career stress, and general characteristics of the subject. The study found that the lower the academic stress, the higher the social support score in the high family socioeconomic status group and the higher the academic stress, the higher the career stress in the general characteristics of the subjects. Based on the results of this study, we have confirmed that social support affects career Stress. Therefore, social support may serve as a protection factor for health science students who received career stress by relieving stress and improving satisfaction with own life.

이 연구에서는 MMORPG 게임의 길드 내에서 사회적 지지가 캐릭터와 길드를 통해 플로우 및 충성도에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 MMORPG 게이머들을 대상으로 포커스그룹인터뷰를 한 결과 사회적지지 요인을 발견하였고, 인터뷰 결과와 선행연구를 토대로 캐릭터통제력, 사회적 지지를 독립변수로 제시하였고, 매개변수로 캐릭터 동일시, 길드 동일시, 자아존중감을, 종속변수로 플로우, 충성도를 도출하여 연구모형을 개발하였다. WoW(WorldofWarcraft) 이용자 244 명의 자료를 수집하여 전체적인 연구모형의 구조적 적합도를 검증하기 위해 구조방정식모델(SEM)분석을 이용하였다. 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 주요 연구결과를 밝혀냈다. 첫째, 사회적지지는 캐릭터 통제력, 캐릭터 동일시, 길드 동일시, 자아존중감에 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났으며, 캐릭터 통제력은 캐릭터 동일시, 길드 동일시, 자아존중감을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 캐릭터 동일시는 자아존중감과 충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 길드 동일시는 자아존중감과 플로우, 충성도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 자아존중감은 플로우에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

This study examined the influence of social support perceived through SNS on teachers' adult attachment and occupational satisfaction. In order to do so, survey was conducted on teachers and a total of 103 sets of responses were used for final analysis. As a result of the study on social support perceived through SNS, with regards to adult attachment, it was shown that emotional support, informational support, and instrumental support have influence on attachment anxiety. With regards to attachment avoidance, emotional support was shown to have statistically effective influence. In addition, with regards to influence of social support perceived through SNS on occupational satisfaction, it was shown that emotional support and informational support have effective influence on occupational satisfaction. In conclusion and discussion, the implications and limitations of this study were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the social support was related to the relationships between marital quality and stress from life events among married immigrant women. The subject of this study included 182 married immigrant women lived in Busan. The results of this study were as follows: First, life stress and social support had a independently significant effect on marital quality. Second, social support had a negative effects when the relationship between life stress and marital quality mediated by social support. In varying forms and degrees, social support may play significant roles in relation to life stress and marital quality, but like married immigrant women, limited social support may be no/low effect on the relationship between life stress and marital quality. In this article, we examined the effect of social support related to life stress and marital quality and discuss the implications for research.

This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of social support in the influence of depression on the health promotion behavior of low-income elderly living alone. The data were collected from 294 elderly recipients of national basic livelihood security who are living alone and the data were analyzed by path analysis. The results were that depression and social support had direct effect on health promotion behaviors and depression had indirect effect on health promotion behaviors through mediating effect of social support. Results showed the importance of depression and social support in the health promotion behaviors of the low-income elderly living alone, which should be considered in the intervention. On the basis of the results, practical suggestions to increase the health promotion behaviors of the low-income elderly living alone were discussed.

This study is to test the relationship between job stress, social support and subjective well-being among security guard. 420 members of private security companies in Seoul were selected. Total 356 copies were picked up as the final sample. In conclusion, First, job stress among the private security guard have an effect on the social support. In other words, even though their role and personal relationship put them under a lot of stress, social support is high. while the more stress of duty they have, the lower social support is. Second, job stress among the private security guard have an effect on the subjective well-being. That is to say, the more stress of duty they have, the lower subjective well-being is. Third, social support has an effect on the subjective well~being. Namely, the more social support by neighbor and family is, the higher subjective well-being is. Forth, job stress has a direct or indirect effects social support and subjective well-being in meal or in malt.
