Effects of Innovation and Peer Pressure on Color Make-up Behaviors of Middle and High School Students (여중고생의 혁신과 또래압력이 색조화장행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to the nature of teenage students' common tendency of being drawn to consumption conformity engendered by popular trends, and further expanding their unique collectivist culture, this study presumes that middle and high school female students as well have an influential factor that creates their distinctive trait. This study is intended to investigate the students' personal characteristics and effects of social reference groups, and further scrutinize how these influences transcends to deviant make-up behaviors. A total of 297 subjects, middle and high school female students, participated in a survey, using questionnaires focused primarily on the degrees of color makeup and the influences imposed by classmates. The findings of the study are as follows. First, regarding makeup behavior displayed by middle and high school female students, social self-esteem had positive influence on innovation and peer pressure. Second, perceived visibility conversely had negative impacts on innovation and peer pressure. This indicates that if perceived visibility is at a salient level, this already signifies lack of innovation. Third, makeup innovation and peer pressure demonstrated by middle and high school students all showed positive influence on their makeup behaviors. Additionally, peer pressure, in comparison to innovation, had greater influence on makeup behaviors, which indicates that peer pressure play a great role in makeup behavior of middle and high school students. Fourth, makeup behaviors showed strong impacts on makeup satisfaction and rendering deviant behaviors, which indicates that a new direction and perspective regarding middle and high school students' makeup behavior is critical.

The Effects of Internal, External Environment and Entrepreneurship on the Performance of Social Enterprise: Focused on the Network Activity (내부 및 외부 환경요인과 기업가정신이 사회적 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인: 네트워크 활동을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing performance of internal, external environment and entrepreneurship in the social enterprise with network activity. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to performance of social enterprise, internal, external environment, entrepreneurship and network activity. The proposed model is analyzed to target social entrepreneurs. The results of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, organizational culture positively influence entrepreneurship. Second, environmental uncertainty positively influence entrepreneurship. Third, entrepreneurship positively influence managerial and social performance. Finally, organizational culture to entrepreneurship for high group of network activity is significantly larger than those for low group of network activity. In addition, environmental uncertainty to entrepreneurship for low group of network activity is significantly larger than those for high group of network activity.

  • As corporations grow in size, corporations exert a very wide influence on society, but on the other hand, as they fail to take responsible corporate actions to use their influence, giant corporations are often criticized as irresponsible social organizations that cause great social problems. This study examines the problem between ESG and corporate power as a fundamental background that causes social problems related to corporate activities, and studies corporate social responsibility issues that have been traditionally discussed in the business and social fields.

  • 사회관계망에서 영향력 전파 문제는 네트워크에 가장 영향력을 끼칠 수 있는 노드들을 찾아 전체 네트워크에 영향력을 최대화 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 Delay-Tolerant Networks에서 각 노드의 영향력을 측정하여 가장 영향력 있는 노드 집합을 선택하는 문제를 다룬다. 노드 간 연결성이 항시 보장되지 않는 Delay-Tolerant Networks 환경에서는 전체 네트워크 정보를 정확히 알 수 없기 때문에 노드의 영향력을 정확히 측정하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 Delay-Tolerant Networks 환경에서 분산 방식으로 각자 노드가 k-Clique 구조로 커뮤니티를 구성하여 국지적 정보 (Local Information)만을 활용하여 자신의 영향력을 추정하는 방법을 제시하고 실험을 통해 제안 기법으로 산출한 노드들의 영향력이 전체 네트워크 관점에서 산출한 노드들의 영향력에 근접함을 실험을 통해 증명한다.

Extending Technology Acceptance Model with Social Influence on Korean College Students' Social Commerce Context (한국 대학생의 소셜 커머스 이용행태 연구: 사회적 영향력으로 확장한 기술수용모형을 중심으로)

  • The social commerce is an innovative and emerging transaction. It is the result of combination with transaction and social media technology. This study analyzes Korean college students' social commerce behavior through extending technology acceptance model(TAM) with social influence(SI). We confirmed all proposed hypotheses are significant and supported by the given data through PLS path modeling method with SmartPLS. It indicates that SI is an important factor influencing intention to use, so SI should be consider for theorists to enhance explanation and prediction of TAM and for practitioners to earn higher performances as well. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions for future studies are discussed.

The Effect of Empathy on Social Justice Commitment: A Social-Cognitive Perspective (공감 능력이 사회 정의 실천에 미치는 영향: 사회 인지적 관점에서)

  • This purposed of this study was to investigate the effect of empathy on social justice commitment from a social-cognitive perspective. Specifically, we examined how cognitive and affective empathy affect social justice commitment through social justice self-efficacy, social justice outcome expectation, and social justice interest which represent a social-cognitive path of behavior. Based on the self-report survey sample of 537 people in their twenties, we first controlled social desirability, and then analyzed the measurement and structure model using Structure Estimate Modeling(SEM). As a result, it turned out that both cognitive and affective empathy indirectly affected social justice commitment through the path of the social-cognitive model. However, affective empathy had a larger effect size compared to cognitive empathy. Results suggest that empathy competence has an effect on not only general altruistic behavior as known before but also social justice behavior which include the value of equality and anti-discrimination. Finally, ways for facilitating social justice commitment in terms of cognitive and affective empathy were suggested.

Determinants of Media Repertoires based on New Services and Technologies (신규 미디어 서비스/기기 레퍼토리 구조 결정 요인)

  • This paper was attempting to identify determinants of media repertoires based on new services and technologies. Using the regression and discriminant models, this study examined determinants that included five independent factors such as the degree of innovation, social networks, social influences, demographic variables and media uses. The analyses revealed that all of independent variables except the degree of innovation were significant determinants of media repertoires. Secondly, the results of discriminant analyses showed that terrestrial television use, age, disposable income were significant factors discriminating new media service adopters from the sample. For new media related technologies adopters, family income, and media uses such as newspaper, Internet and radio were significant discriminant variables.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the educational programs for cultivating balanced view of technical understanding and social impact on Artificial Intelligence (AI). To this end, an educational program based on a constructivist approach was developed. Through an experimental class for middle school students we analyzed the concept and perception of AI and the satisfaction of the class. The main results are as follows. First, students' understanding of the concept and the cases of AI in their daily lives has improved. Second, the recognition of the impact of AI on society has emerged and concern about social impact have been lowered. Third, in terms of program satisfaction, all the factors such as understanding of AI, interest in class, interest in AI were high. With these results, we discussed the implications for AI education in elementary and secondary school.

The Role of Motives, Flow, and Social Influence in Attitude and Purchase Intention to Emoticons (이모티콘 사용동기, 플로우, 사회적 영향력이 이모티콘 사용태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • In recent year, graphic emoticons in MIM(Mobile Instant Messenger) play an important role not as a valuable communication methods, but as main business model for MIM service providers. Although the graphic emoticons in MIM are regarded as a commercial product, there has been little systematic research reflecting consumers' perspectives. In order to fill this theoretical and practice gap, the study is designed to explore the structural relationships among emoticon use motives, attitude, and purchasing intention to emoticons in context of MIM. The results showed that emoticon use motives in MIM were composed of two main factors, perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. And we also verified that both perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment positively impact flow in communication with using emoticons and social influence. Lastly, flow and social influence were positively related to attitude toward using emoticons and attitude also was related to purchase intention to emoticons in MIM, positively. However, flow and social influence did not have a positive influence on purchase intention to emoticons directly. The implications and limitations of this study are also discussed.

The Relative Influence of Social and Psychological Factors on Life Satisfaction : Comparison of Entrepreneur and Paid employee (삶의 만족도에 대한 사회적, 심리적 요인의 상대적 영향력에 관한 연구 :창업자와 임금근로자 비교를 중심으로)

  • It is about the study of life satisfaction with type of employment(entrepreneur/paid employee), social factor(social capital), and psychological factor(self efficacy) in Seoul. The empirical results using Seoul Welfare Panel showed that psychological factor was the most powerful, and economic (household income levels) and social factor were in order. Type of employment was also significantly affected on life satisfaction, and paid employee's life satisfaction was higher than entrepreneur's one. In case of paid employee, psychological(self-efficacy) and social(norms, informal networks of participation, non-profit trust) factor in addition to the economic factor were significantly. In case of entrepreneur, economic and psychological factor and only norm among social factors were significant. Finally, The implications for politicians and local public officials were reported.
