Analysis of time use by occupation domain according to the general characteristics and care need reasons of the Korean elderly with disablilities : Focused on the 2019 Time Use Survey (국내 장애노인의 일반적 특성과 돌봄 필요 사유에 따른 작업영역별 시간사용 분석 : 2019년 생활시간조사 중심으로)

  • In this study, after reclassifying the behavioral classification of '2019 Time Use Survey' according to occupation domain of OTPF-4. Time use of occupation domain was examined according to general characteristics and care need reasons were performed Independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. As a result, according to gender, IADL(P<.001), Leisure(P<.001), Social participation(P<.001) and according to marital status, ADL(P<.01), IADL(P<.001), Play(P<.05), Leisure(P<.001) and according to education level, ADL(P<.05), Education(P<.001), Social participation(P<.01) were differences. According to care need reasons, ADL(P<.01), IADL(P<.001), Rest and Sleep(P<.01), Leisure(P<.001), Social participation(P<.001) showed difference. This study will be used to identify time use by occupation domain and to plan interventions for a balanced and efficient lifestyle of korean disabled elderly.

Biopolitics, Montage, and Potentialities of the Image: Giorgio Agamben and Cinema (생명정치, 몽타주, 이미지의 잠재성: 조르조 아감벤과 영화)

  • This paper provides an in-depth examination of the relationship between cinema and Giorgio Agamben's aesthetics and philosophy. Intersecting Agamben's key concepts including gesture, mediality, biopolitics, historicity, and profanation with historical and aesthetic dimensions of cinema, I argue for his ambivalent view on cinema and visual media. On the one hand, Agamben linked cinema and visual media to his discussion on biopolitics and spectacle as he considered them as apparatus for capturing and controlling gestures. On the other hand, he also argued that cinema could restore the image with capacity to preserve and recuperate gestures based on his consideration of montage as cinema's key aesthetic and technical component (an operation of profanation) and his Benjaminian thought on the ways in which montage suspended linear flow of images and activated an alternative memory of them. Drawing on history of cinema and optical devices in the 19th and early 20th centuries as well as examples of found footages of filmmaking predicated upon stoppage and repetition of images, I argue that Agamben's concept of potentialities can be extended into his thought on cinema and visual media apparatuses in general.

  • In der Kritik der reinen Vernunft entfaltet sich die Lehre des $Selbstbewu{\ss}tseins$, die in sich die verschiedene Auffassungen ${\ddot{u}}ber$ das transzendentale Ich $enth{\ddot{a}}lt$. $Demgem{\ddot{a}}{\ss}$ ist das transzendentale Ich einerseits das Ich als reine $Selbstt{\ddot{a}}tigkeit$. Die Vorstellung des Ich $dr{\ddot{u}}ckt$ insofern als die intellektuelle Vorstellung ${\ddot{u}}ber$ die spontane Handlung des denkenden Ich die numerische Einheit oder die Einfachheit der verschiedenen Handlungen desselben aus. Aber andererseits ist das transzendentale Ich im $Selbstbewu{\ss}tsein$ das Ich als den Gegenstand ${\ddot{u}}berhaupt$. Das Ich als Gegenstand ${\ddot{u}}berhaupt$ ist gerade das Ich als Gegenstand des inneren Sinnes oder das empirische Ich ${\ddot{u}}berhaupt$. In diesem Sinne $dr{\ddot{u}}ckt$ das $Selbstbewu{\ss}tsein$ die unbestimmte Wahrnehmung ${\ddot{u}}berhaupt$, oder apprehensio simplex aus. Auf diese Weise $enth{\ddot{a}}lt$ das transzendentale Ich im Selbstbewusstsein in sich die doppelseitigen Momente. Das Ich im $Selbstbewu{\ss}tsein$ ist einerseits das Ich als das denkende Subjekt, $n{\ddot{a}}mlich$ das logische Ich, aber andererseits zugleich das Ich als das wharnehmende Subjekt, das psychologische Ich ${\ddot{u}}berhaupt$. Und diese doppelseitigen Momente des Ichs unterscheiden sich voneinander, aber zugleich auch $dr{\ddot{u}}cken$ in sich ein und dasselbe Ich aus. Dennoch ist das Problem der Einheit und Entzweiung des Ich im Selbstbewusstsein bleibt in der Kritik der reinen Vernunft als ein $unerkl{\ddot{a}}rbares$, $unaufl{\ddot{o}}sbares$ $R{\ddot{a}}tzel$. Eben mit diesem Problem setzt Kant sich im Opus potumum ernsthaft auseinander und $l{\ddot{o}}st$ dieses Problem durch eine neue Lehre des $Selbstbewu{\ss}tseins$ oder die Lehre der Selbstsezung auf.

The Adinkra, Ghanaian Philosophy Symbols - The Expansion of the Speculation System in Adinkra Symbols (아프리카 가나의 상징철학 '아딘크라(Adinkra)' - 아딘크라 심벌을 통한 사유체계의 확장성 탐구)

  • This paper introduces symbols from Ghana, the 'Adinkra', and expands upon the concepts associated with it. In other words, the world view, values and scalability that appear to form philosophical thoughts in everyday life. 'Adinkra' are symbols from Ghana in West Africa. Adinkra means 'goodbye' or 'farewell'. There are some 400 Adinkra symbols, but the meanings of the symbols have been lost. The first book on Adinkra is 'The Adinkra Dictionary' (1998) by W. Bruce Willis. Adinkra is related to the Ghanaian culture, and represents concepts such as philosophical ideology, history, historical figures, myths, legends, animals, plants, etc. In the old days, because of its meaning-'goodbye' or 'farewell'-Adinkra was generally used for funerals. But today, Adinkra is utilized in a full range of cultural events and activities. Each of the 'Adinkra' has various meanings. According to Willis, Adinkra is ever-evolving and constantly expanding. As a matter of fact, Adinkra continues to expand, evolve and develop. Nevertheless, no books have been published on Adinkra since Bruce Willis (5 May 2016 to the present). Adinkra provides insights into the rich philosophical, educational, and historical significance of Africa. Therefore, Adinkra requires evolution, expansion, and research. In this study, we will examine the Adinkra, divided into four categories. The first is related to God and the powers, the second is related to moral education. The third symbolizes 'love' and 'friendship'. and lastly, the fourth is 'life' and 'death'.

A Study on the Open Meeting System : Focused on the Central Administrative Organization Designated Meeting (회의공개제도 운영에 관한 연구 중앙행정기관 지정회의를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the status of the designated administrative meetings of the central administrative agencies, including the number of meetings, the presence of written minutes, and the form of minutes. The implications based on the analysis are as follows. First, there were meetings that were not held, and written meetings were held. The standards for determining the designated meetings should be established. Second, when only a written meeting was held, the minutes were not made because these were not written separately. A written meeting can be held, if it is necessary. However, there is still a need to keep a detailed record similar to minutes in such cases. Third, among the minute types, a written record of the points of the meeting is preferred. Even if the meeting is closed for proper reasons, making a transcript and a record in addition to writing the points must be settled. Finally, specific standards for the procedures and reasons why meetings and minutes should be closed should be established. It is necessary to change the paradigm from the viewpoint of production and management to the viewpoint of disclosure and sharing through the improvement of standards and procedures related to designated meetings and designated meeting minutes.

Analysis by Defensive Process Prerequisite and Offensive Cause of Action on the Merits of Lawsuit Cases in Urban and Housing Redevelopment - Based on Affirm-Rate and Staircase Matrix Tables - (도시정비사건 소송의 본안전항변사유와 본안쟁점사항에 관한 분석 - 인용률 및 행렬표식 분석기법을 활용한 -)

  • This study explored to analyze the winning determinants of the lawsuit cases on the urban and housing redevelopment project based on jurimetric methods. Based on affirm-rate and staircase matrix tables, 441 lawsuit judgments are analyzed. Research findings in affirm-rate analysis indicate that past legal relation, no own defect of accreditation, no ownership or association member status, lapse of period of litigation, and no legal interest are identified as higher rate in order for the reason for plea on the merit. And so are defect on calculation of consent rate, defect in relation with written consent, approval before zoning designation, defect in relation with general meeting, and defect on zoning designation for the issue on the merit. It is noteworthy from the staircase matrix table analysis that the criteria for affecting the lawsuit outcome is determined based on key forecasting variables such as past legal relation and no ownership or association member status. This study intends to provide the implication that the unnecessary disputes can be reduced in the urban and housing redevelopment project by the implementation of jurimetric quantitative analysis methodology from the perspective of empirical law.

Against Skepticism: Doubt and Belief in C. S. Peirce and Michael Polanyi (찰스 S. 퍼스와 마이클 폴라니의 회의론과 믿음(belief)에 대한 비교 연구)

  • Michael Polanyi's idea of tacit knowledge came from the realization that scientific objectivity and critical philosophy had become too restrictive for philosophy, especially in the realm of meaning, which is beyond positivistic proof and contains more non-critical elements than critical ones. In social life, people still share certain kinds of knowledge and beliefs which they obtain without making or learning those explicitly. Contemplating the role and significance of tacit knowledge, he called for a post-critical philosophy that integrates the realm of meaning and thereby appreciates the intertwined nature of tacit and explicit knowledge. Polanyi's position towards skepticism and doubt shows similarities with Charles S. Peirce's thinking about the relationship between belief and doubt. Although Peirce's semeiotics stands firmly in the tradition of critical philosophy, he affirms that doubt cannot be a constant state of mind and only belief can form a basis for a specific way of life. Polanyi's approach differs from Peirce's by focusing on the impossibility of scientific knowledge based solely on principles and precision, and his emphasis on the crucial role of the community of scientists. Nevertheless, the deeper implications of Peirce's contemplations on belief and doubt have myriad ramifications on the philosophy of science as well as the sociology of science.

  • Multiculturalism may be deeply connected with the diversities of cultures and enlightenment discussed in the context that we live together with the specification of cultures derived from any spatial conditions overtly and covertly. People live on their own customs compatible with their space and the time, and they make their boundaries of races, nations, and national memories. In such a way each of them treats each other exclusively and is inclined not to recognize being of the others. Also people are apt to recognize the others unessentially and overlook the others's value and way of life. As a result they might destroy the foundation of symbiotic livings conditions on their own. On the other hand they pretend to search for the cultural diversities of the others and include them under their own universalities, resulting in conflicts. Hence it is required that we should make an efforts to prepare the fields for living together through getting over the problem of the recognition of matters and affairs before us. From the above-told critical mind this thesis seeks the multicultural relativities and more arrives at the relationalities discussed by East-Asiatic philosophers of Chuang Tzu and Ch'oe Han-gi. Especially by gazing at the idea of the interconnectedness which means activities, changeabilities and mobilities, appeared on the idea of Ch'oe Han-Gi's revolving transformation, it is stressed that the communications of the local with each other in the various aspects of, e.g. materials, regions and cultures should be achieved.

A comparative study on the 'Xuan'in the view of Yangxiong & Gehong(1) (양웅(揚雄)과 갈홍(葛洪)의 '현(玄)' 개념 비교 연구(1) - 우주생성론을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper aims to examine the meaning of 'Xuan(玄)' in the cosmogony, especially in the view of Yang-xiong(揚雄) and Ge-hong(葛洪). The concept 'Xuan' is thought to have originated in the XianQin text Laozi & Zhouyi. After the XianQin period, this concept has been defined as philosophical concept, and it has a variety of meanings. This paper discussed about the cause of creation, the differentiation process, and the existence principle, within the cosmogony of Yang-xiong & Ge-hong. First, the cause of creation in the Yang-xiong is efficient cause in the state of the elementary substance, but also is the principle that is applied to the phase of the creation. While the cause of creation in the Ge-hong is comprised of the cause of the creation and the existence principle. Thus, the meaning of the concept 'Xuan' in the both scholar is different from the matter monism. Second, the concept 'Xuan' in the both scholar contains the tendency of cosmogony and ontology. Yang-xiong maintains the cosmogony, but he also hold on the rudimentary view of ontology. While Ge-hong display a tendency of ontology. Third, Ge-hong accepted the view of Yang-xiong and he developed the meaning of the existence principle. And finally, the concept 'Xuan' in the both scholar forms a philosophical system. Yang-xiong insisted that the concept 'Xuan' is the basis of the universe, the human-being and the society. While through realizing the concept 'Xuan', Ge-hong tried to pursue the human-being's agelessness and the eternal life.

A Study on Becoming Science Teachers Seen in Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Inquiry into the Features and Roles of Tree Stems: Focusing on the Degree of Attaining Deterritorialization and the Types of Rhizomatic Thoughts (초등 예비교사들의 '줄기의 생김새와 하는 일' 탐구에서 나타난 과학교사 되기 탐색 - 탈영토화 도달 정도와 리좀적 사유 유형을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to explore 'Becoming Science Teachers' seen in pre-service elementary teachers' inquiry into the features and roles of tree stems, based on Deleuze's Theory of Becoming. As research subjects, this study selected 30 pre-service elementary teachers and made them carry out textbook activities and advanced activities for about a month. Based on the results of these activities, they kept reflective inquiry diaries, and this study analyzed them and found out how far they attained according to Deleuze's mechanism of generating differences. Interestingly, it was found out that most of them attained the phase of escape and even the phase of deterritorialization and showed the highest frequency of establishing various know-hows about inquiries needed to teach students in the future. However, it was also analyzed that over 60% of the diaries still remained in phases prior to the phase of deterritorialization through escape. When analyzing rhizomatic thought that helped attain deterritorialization through escape, this study found out that all the 6 types were seen and functioned to attain deterritorialization. Therefore, it is necessary to provide challenging inquiry environments that pre-service elementary teachers have never experienced before so that they can go through a phased process for overcoming striated space in inquiry and attain reterritorialization.
