모바일 환경에서 풀브라우징과 접속/비접속의 seamless 한 인터넷 기능의 사용을 바라는 것은 사용자들의 오래되었으나 채워지지 않는 니즈였으며, 이제 사회적, 환경적 기반이 구축되고 있는 시점에서 실사용자들의 행태에 대한 리서치를 기반으로 인터넷 풀브라우징이 가능한 모바일 단말기가 갖추어야할 사용성의 요소를 미리 알아보고자 하였다. 하여 모바일 인터넷 이라는 주제로 이루어진 리서치의 일부로서 국내 사용자 조사를 진행하였다. 국내 사용자 조사는 휴대기기로 실제 모바일 인터넷 관련 기능을 자주 사용하는 실사용자 대상으로 FGD 와 Shadowing 을 실시하였고, 그 결과 PUI/UI/GUI 관점에서 향후 모바일 인터넷 휴대단말기가 갖추어야할 요소를 추출하였다.

유선 인터넷에서 인스턴트 메신저는 간단한 질문/확인, 만남이나 작업 조정, 사회적인 친교 등을 위해 광범위하게 활용되고 있다. 이를 무선으로 확장하기 위하여 MSN, Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, 버디버디, 네이트온 등이 모바일용 메신저를 내놓고 있다. 특히 한국 10대의 경우 SMS를 실시간 대화에 가깝게 (짧고 빈번하게) 사용하고 있기 때문에 무선 메신저는 큰 호응이 있으리라 예상하였다. 그러나 네이트온 모바일 메신저의 경우, 2002년 출시된 이후 별다른 인기를 끌지 못하고 있다. 이에 저자들은 네이트온 사용자들의 사용행태를 분석하여 문제점을 파악하고, 일반 SMS 사용자들과 네이트온 사용자들의 무선 커뮤니케이션 사용행태를 1주일간의 Diary Study에 기초한 Contextual Inquiry (Intermittent)를 실시하여 사용률이 저조한 이유를 분석한 뒤, 퍼소나를 구성하여 무선 환경에 맞는 완전히 혁신적인 새로운 형태의 무선 메신저 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하였다. 메신저에 반드시 있는 사용자 등록이나 친구 추가 기능을 없애고 휴대전화 번호 기반으로 동작하며, 상태 정보(Presence)를 없애면서 상대방 상태에 따라 IM 혹은 SMS로 적절히 변환되어 전달되는 것이 주요 특징이다. 이를 사용자들을 통해 다시 검증해 본 결과 사용자들이 무척 쉽게 받아들이는 것을 발견하였다.

This study compared whether there are significant differences of searching characteristics between the subject specialists and professional searchers in education in terms of internet search engines. The major findings and conclusions from the study are as follows. Subject specialists used more search terms and Boolean operators and spent more times on the computers than professional searchers. However, professional searchers retrieved more relevant documents and had higher precision ratios than subject specialists.

In order to develop practical implications for depression among the elderly, this study examines socioeconomic and health-behavioral risk factors of geriatric depression diagnosis. Sample consists of 964 elders aged 65 and over, living in an urban community. Using the Short-form Geriatric Depression Scale(SGDS), study subjects were screened for geriatric depression to those who presented 10 points and over in SGDS. Descriptive statistics shows that about 22.2% elders are estimated to suffer from geriatric depression. Predictors of geriatric depression diagnosis were examined through logistic regression. Results show that elders who live with family, who have medical insurance, who have higher education, who don't smoke, and who do more physical activities were less likely to suffer from geriatric depression. These findings indicate that socioeconomic position such as health insurance, education and health behaviors such as smoking, physical activities are closely related to geriatric depression, suggesting that interventions on socioeconomic position and health behaviors may be effective to reduce depression among the elderly.

This exploratory study describes the social bookmarking perceptions and behaviors of students in university courses. Although an emerging discussion regarding the value of social bookmarking tools exists, how users adopt tools in practice is not well known. Students were asked to utilize the bookmarking tool del.icio.us to store information relating to course projects. They were also asked to comment how they employed del.icio.us for course projects. The study analyzed student perceptions and behaviors when using social bookmarking tools for university coursework. The study noted that the use of tags, notes, and networking within these social bookmarking tools remained less active and social bookmarking services in Web 2.0 as shared collaboration, shared communities, and vertical search were less present. Utilizing social bookmarking tools to facilitate personal information management includes the activities of information use, information re-use, and mobility.

Researches of Hangul automation have been focused mainly on the set of character system. But, practical problem of using the Korean standard keyboard system of two sets is increment of errors and fatigue due to frequent use of shift keys. The author formulate a hypothesis as follows to solve the problem. 'Changing location and design of shift keys can reduce errors in typing Korean by avoiding interferences with other keys when pressing shift keys.' This study verify the hypothesis by the analysis of experiments using improved keyboard prototypes which have changed layout and design of shift keys. On the result, change of shift key location causes confusion to experienced user. But, while keeping its location, removing other keys at the bottom row and magnifying size of shift keys decrease errors in typing by avoiding interferences. And, the efficiency of typing in Korean is increased, too, because there is not any influence on typing speed. This study focuses on layout and design of shift keys only, but further study for entire layout of keyboard including alternative location of other function keys is needed to improve general usability.

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the cosmetic interest of middle school female students(n=126) is related to purchase satisfaction by using purchase behavior and informatization level as control variables. Based on the research model, three hypotheses were set and statistical tests were conducted. The results of this study are as follows. First, middle school female students used cosmetics from elementary school and cosmetics education was requested from elementary school. Therefore proper early education on cosmetic use is needed. Second, the degree of interest and purchasing behavior of cosmetics was positively correlated with the purchase satisfaction of cosmetics. Third, the purchasing behavior of cosmetics was found to have a more effect on purchase satisfaction than the cosmetics interest. Especially, 'cosmetics purchase behavior' had a moderating effect on purchase satisfaction. Fourth, there was no difference in the average among the grades about cosmetics category(cosmetic interest, purchase behavior, informatization level, purchase satisfaction). This study needs to pay more attention to cosmetics purchasing behavior, which has the greatest effect on the satisfaction of cosmetics purchasing among middle school girls, and suggests that further studies will be continued to expand the range and ages in the future.

The purpose of this study was to compare the health behaviors, mental health and internet addiction by gender differences among Korean adolescents and to examine relevances between health behaviors, mental health and internet addiction. The subjects were 73,238 Korean adolescents(male: 38,391, female: 34,847) who were recruited through national web-based survey. The data were derived from the Sixth Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey 2010 in South Korea. There were significant differences in health behaviors, mental health and internet addiction. by gender differences. Prevalence of internet addiction was male: 3.9%, female: 1.9% in this study. As the result of multiple logistic regression, the risk of internet addiction was increased in the case of smoking experience, substance experience, subjective health status, feeling of stress, depression experience, suicidal ideation, feeling of happiness, and sufficiency of sleeps in both male and female. Therefore, to decrease internet addiction prevalence, it is necessary to detect and manage the influencing risk factors of internet addiction such as health behaviors and mental health. And the health-promotion intervention to improve the internet addiction of adolescents should be planed and provided considering such differences by gender differences.

오늘날 교통계획분야에서 개별적, 행태론적 선택모형의 사용이 급격히 일반화 되어 가고 있는 추세를 보이고 있다. 이는 종래의 집합적 모형에 비하여, 구조적으로 경제학에서 말하는 이성적 선택행위를 보다 잘 설명하고 있어, 선택행위의 인과관계를 나타낸다고 보여 지기 때문이다. 그러나 이들 모형이 주어진 선택범위내에서의 선택만을 다루고 있어, 선택범 위를 결정하는데 임의성이 내재되어 있을 뿐만 아니라, 선택대상이 많은 경우에는 곤란하다 는 것이 문제점으로 지적되고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 선택행위에 관한 경제학적, 심리학적 이 론에 근거하여 비교적 실용적인 선택범위결정과정을 개발하여 기존의 개별적, 행태론적 모 형과 복합적으로 활용할수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 사이버 주식투자의 성과를 중심으로 이익 투자자와 손실 투자자로 구분하고 투자자의 행태 변수에 대하여 두 집단간에 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 규명하고자 하는 것이며 나아가 이러한 특성변수들이 투자성과와 어떠한 연관성을 가지는지를 분석하고자 하는 것이다 연구의 결과 두 집단간에 유의적인 차이를 보이면서 투자성과에 보다 큰 영향을 미치는 변수로는 가격하락시의 손절매(stop loss) 사용 빈도, 매수후 해당 종목의 평균 보유기간, 매수후 현금(잔금)보유비율의 정도, 하락시 재매수의 정도, 평균 보유 종목수, 일밀 평균 거래 횟수, 동일 종목에 대한 분할 매수 빈도, 가격 하락시 반응, 평균 확습시간, 손실 발생 원인, 언론에 대한 반응 등이었다.
