We devised the system to automatically shutdown the boiler and to fundamentally block the harmful gases, including carbon monoxide, into the indoor when the exhaust system swerves: (1) The discharge pressure of the exhaust gas decreases when the exhaust pipe is disconnected. The monitoring system of the exhaust pipe is implemented by measuring the output voltage of APS(Air Pressure Sensor) installed to control the amount of combustion air. (2) The operating software was modified so that when the system recognizes the fault condition of a flue pipe, the boiler control unit displays the fault status on the indoor regulator while shutting down the boiler. In accordance with the ventilation facility standards in the "Rules for Building Equipment Standards" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, experiments were conducted to ventilate indoor air. When carbon monoxide leaked in worst-case scenario, it was possible to prevent poisoning accidents. However, since 2013, the number of indoor air exchange times has been mitigated from 0.7 to 0.5 times per hour. We observed the concentration exceeding TWA 30 ppm occasionally and thus recommend to reinforce this criterion. In conclusion, if the flue pipe fault detection and the indoor air ventilation system are introduced, carbon monoxide poisoning accidents are expected to decrease significantly. Also when the manufacturing and inspection steps, the correct installation and repair are supplemented with the user's attention in missing flue, it will be served to prevent human casualties from carbon monoxide poisoning.
This study is to suggest necessary improvements of inconvenient elements as well as the ergonomic design standard to develop disabled cars by evaluating the types of needs and observing the behavior characteristics on their car use and the survey on the complaints of the disabled drivers and their guardians in the use of disabled car. The results of this study are as follows. First, both the disabled drivers and their guardians are found to feel high inconvenience and low satisfaction with the cars they use now. Second, the disabled owner-drivers also answered in a same way as guardians. They find the most difficulty in moving the supporting equipment to get into and out of a car. Both the owner-drivers with disabilities and guardians complained of lack of handiness they face when they wear the seat belts and sitting on the seats. In view of this, a disabled car to be developed should have ergonomic design for its seats and the safety of the seatbelt as well as trouble-free supporting equipment helping them move. Third, rather than owner-drivers with handicaps, guardians expressed more difficulties and less contentment with the cars for the disabled, which is reckoned to lead to the changes of perspectives on development of cars for the disabled breaking away from existing viewpoints focusing on the accessibility to the vehicles. Fourth, both owner-drivers and guardians showed higher interests in driving and other safety and convenience measures than in using supporting equipment to get into and out of vehicles, implying that rather than the accessibility to get into and out of a car, convenience should primarily be taken into account for the design of the disabled car. Fifth, the auto-manufacturer is to give prior thought to user convenience when developing a car in practice. For this, the developer may have the disabled car users join the process of development as well as asking experts for help and participation.
As interest in artificial intelligence has increased, artificial intelligence has been actively studied in the medical field. In Korea, artificial intelligence has been applied to medical imaging devices such as X-ray imaging, Computer Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging and artificial intelligence capable of acquiring radiation images of patients without radiologists in the future Medical devices are expected to be invented. This study was an initial study on the automation of patient positioning in X - ray imaging. We used x-ray equipment and human phantoms to evaluate the positioning. The program used Visual Studio 2010 MFC and the image was in the size $1450{\times}1814$. The pixel values were converted to contrasts with values of 0 to 255 that can be visually recognized and output to the monitor. We developed a procedure algorithm program that predicts the angle of the output image through three pixel coordinate values and induces the patient to perform correct positioning according to the voice guidance according to the angle. In the next study, we will study the artificial intelligence to grasp the structure itself and calculate the angle, rather than conveying the reference of coordinates to artificial intelligence. In the future, it is expected that it will be helpful in the study of artificial intelligence from shooting to positioning through the automation of positioning.
It is important for the people in the 3D printing industry to determine which factors influence the decision-making that determine the adoption of 3D printers and the role of the factors. Through this, we intend to find ways to contribute to the development of 3D printing industry in Korea by increasing utilization of 3D printer used in domestic companies and increasing investment in related industries. 3D printers are making rapid progress according to the development of technology, the public interest, and the activation of investment. Foreign countries have made remarkable progress in equipment, materials, software, and industrial applications, but they are lower than expected in Korea. It is necessary to introduce a smooth 3D printer in order to revitalize the 3D printer industry and enlarge the base, but it is insufficient for actual introduction and field application. The independent variables that represent economic, technological, and environmental characteristics were selected through a literature survey, and a model for accepting integrated technology for convergence of societies in the 3D printing industry was proposed. This study confirms that economic factors such as output unit price, government support, and environmental factors such as 3D contents should be developed organically for the introduction of 3D printing technology and equipment. This require systematic and effective support from the government, and it is necessary to improve the economic support, related laws, and systems that can be directly experienced by the user as a user. As the domestic 3D printing industry develops with economic, technological and time investment, 3D printing industry should be the key engine of the 4th industrial revolution.
Expectations for reunification have been higher than ever since the relationship between the two Koreas has become more flexible. However, since most of the integrated education in high school is based on teachers and textbooks, the educational effectiveness is minimal as it fails to attract learners' interest. Therefore, in this study, high school students participated in the North Korean market, the market for the rainy season, and our market. Through this development, the government proposed a new content for unification education that would raise interest in unification and effectively learn how the two Koreas can be divided. The main analyses and studies of this paper are as follows: :(1) First, the current state of unification education and understanding of North Korea and the current status of unification education was analyzed through the survey of educational materials for unification of North Korea, unification and school. (2) Based on the analyzed data, a learner-centered, participatory service concept was derived. (3) Based on the concept of service, a prototype of a unified education content based on the theme of a marketplaces. (4) Tested a prototype of the content of unification education for high school students. (5) Based on the prototyping test results and user analysis, a unified education content was improved and proposed. The study could replace and supplement traditional methods of unification education by improving the effectiveness of unification education through the provision of effective unification education services to high school students.
Causal questions are prevalent in scientific research, for example, how effective a treatment was for preventing an infectious disease, how much a policy increased utility, or which advertisement would give the highest click rate for a given customer. Causal inference theory in statistics interprets those questions as inferring the effect of a given intervention (treatment or policy) in the data generating process. Causal inference has been used in medicine, public health, and economics; in addition, it has received recent attention as a tool for data-driven decision making processes. Many recent datasets are observational, rather than experimental, which makes the causal inference theory more complex. This review introduces key concepts and recent trends of statistical causal inference in observational studies. We first introduce the Neyman-Rubin's potential outcome framework to formularize from causal questions to average treatment effects as well as discuss popular methods to estimate treatment effects such as propensity score approaches and regression approaches. For recent trends, we briefly discuss (1) conditional (heterogeneous) treatment effects and machine learning-based approaches, (2) curse of dimensionality on the estimation of treatment effect and its remedies, and (3) Pearl's structural causal model to deal with more complex causal relationships and its connection to the Neyman-Rubin's potential outcome model.

Recently, in designing military equipment, considerable attention has been paid to maintaining operations, including reliability, maintenance, and maintenance time of equipment, from the early stages of development. Therefore, both users and developers stress the importance of design considering the maintenance time. This study evaluated the specific methodologies for predicting the realistic maintenance time, such as the access complexity of equipment, other than the standard maintenance time provided by the conventional method mil-hdbk-470a at the beginning of the design, and applied the time conversion factor using a measure of the maintenance complexity. In addition, the actual maintenance time reflecting the actual maintenance time of the developed equipment and the time-conversion factor applied was compared/verified to confirm the reliability of the data. In a study to set a target for repair and the repair of equipment design in the future, it is expected that the maintenance time of equipment that fails to measure the maintenance time for the initial actual equipment will be reflected as a more realistic time. Moreover, activities, such as research and design reflection activities, will be performed to reduce the maintenance time, operational maintenance cost, etc.
After the 4th industrial revolution, the healthcare industry is striving to find new business models through new technologies. Among them, blockchain technology is one of the technologies that have great interest in the healthcare industry. Most providers of personal health record systems have difficulty in securing marketability due to various problems. Therefore, they try to integrate blockchain technology to develop new systems and gain marketability. However, blockchain has limitations in solving the problems of the personal health record system. In this study, we have designed a personalized health data management framework that enables information subjects to acquire full ownership rights of individual's health data, based on distributed ledger technology. For the framework design, we refer to the structure of R3 Corda. It was designed with a different network structure than the existing blockchain systems so that the node can be operated on the personal user's mobile device. This allows information subjects to directly store and manage their own data and share data with authorized network members. Through the proposed system, the information utilization of the healthcare industry can be improved and the public health promotion and medical technology development can be realized.
The virtual reality industry has an opportunity to take another leap forward with the surge in demand for non-face-to-face content and interest in the metaverse after Covid-19. Therefore, in order to popularize virtual reality content along with this trend, high-quality content production and storytelling research suitable for the characteristics of virtual reality should be continuously conducted. In order for content to which virtual reality characteristics are applied to be effectively produced through user feedback, a quantitative index that can evaluate the content is needed. In this study, the process of viewing virtual reality contents was analyzed and head movement was set as a quantitative indicator. Afterwards, the experimenter watched five animations and analyzed the correlation between recorded head movement information and immersion. As a result of the analysis, high immersion was shown when the head movement speed was relatively slow, and it was found that the head movement speed can be used significantly as an index indicating the degree of content immersion. The result derived in this way can be used as a quantitative indicator that can verify the validity of the storytelling method applied after the prototype is produced when the creator creates virtual reality content. This method can improve the quality of content by quickly identifying the problems of the proposed storytelling method and suggesting a better method. This study aims to contribute to the production of high-quality virtual reality content and the popularization of virtual reality content as a basic research to analyze immersion based on the quantitative indicator of head movement speed.

Many people with disabilities have shown interest in artificial intelligence speakers that serves as the main hub of the smart home. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the intention of people with disabilities to use such speakers. The focus is on those with physical disabilities, a segment that accounts for the largest number of disability types. Based on the theoretical model of technology acceptance, the effect of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of artificial intelligence speakers by people with disabilities was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Research has confirmed that the technology acceptance model is suitable for identifying the intention to use artificial intelligence speakers by people with disabilities, and specifically that the perceived ease of use has a significant impact on usefulness. Furthermore, the perceived ease of use for people with disabilities did not have a statistically significant effect on their intent to use whereas the perceived usefulness was shown to have a significant effect on the same. This study is meaningful as a foundation for developing customized artificial intelligence speaker services and improving the use of artificial intelligence speakers by people with disabilities.
