Text-Mining Analysis on the Interaction between the American Consumers Aged over 60 and Companion Pets Robots: Focused on Amazon Reviews for Joy For All Companion Pets (텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 미국 노년 소비자와 애완용 로봇 간 상호작용에 대한 분석: Joy For All Companion Pets에 대한 아마존 리뷰를 중심으로)

  • This study explores consumers' responses to socially assistive robotics by using text-mining method focusing on Companion Pets from Hasbro as it gives emotional support. We conducted text frequency analysis, LDA analysis using R programming. The key findings are 1)the most frequently used words the mimicry of living pets and the appearance of companion pets, 2)the five topics were derived from the LDA analysis and classified keywords in each topic split between positive and negative, 3)user, product, environment affect the interaction between consumer and companion pets, 4)consumers who have difficulty in cognition and physical conditions use companion pets to replace living pets. This study provides an understanding of consumer responses in companion pets and gives practical implications that may improve the efficacy of usage for consumers and understand the companion robot, which provides emotional support in COVID-19.

  • Block-chain enjoys technical advantages such as "robust security," owing to the structural characteristic that forgery is impossible, decentralization through sharing the ledger between participants, and the hyper-connectivity connecting Internet of Things, robots, and Artificial Intelligence. As a result, public organizations have highly positive attitudes toward the adoption of technology using block-chain, and the design of university information services is no exception. Universities are also considering the application of block-chain technology to foundations that implement various information services within a university. Through case studies of block-chain applications across various industries, this study designs an empirical model of an integrated information service platform that integrates information systems in a university. A basic road map of university information services is constructed based on block-chain technology, from planning to the actual service design stage. Furthermore, an actual empirical model of an integrated information service in a university is designed based on block-chain by applying this framework.

Usability Test of Serious Game Robot App for Hospitalized Children (입원 아동 환자를 위한 로봇용 기능성 게임 앱 사용성 평가)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the usability of serious-game apps for robots that are being developed for hospitals to add familiarity to hospital life for hospitalized patients. We conducted a usability test of 10 experts and 12 elementary school students with inpatient experience. The usability evaluation of the developed apps was based on the professional (MARS) evaluation tool and the user (uMARS) evaluation tool. The results of the usability test of the serious game robot app were $3.67{\pm}0.342$ for professionals and $3.68{\pm}0.592$ for children. The expert group obtained the highest score in the aesthetics category, and the user group obtained the highest score in the functionality category. In the subjective comments, the experts pointed out the game layout and the consistency of the style. According to the children, the methods were easy to learn, and the screen movement was mainly described. Both groups received low ratings in terms of engagement through participation. This study will provide useful reference material when the functional game app is actually installed in the robot and the usability test is conducted again after the results obtained in this study are considered.

  • As the utilization of chatbots grows and the AI market grows, many companies are interested. And everybody is spurring growth by offering chatbot build services so that they can create chatbots. This makes chatbots easier to service on the messenger platform, which is changing the existing application market. In this paper, we present a methodology for designing and implementing existing DB-based applications as instant messenger platform-based applications, and summarize what to consider in actual implementation to provide an optimal system structure. According to this methodology, we design and implement a chatbot that serves as an teaching advisor who provides information to the students in the curriculum. The implemented application objectively visualizes the user's desired information from the user's point of view and delivers it through the interactive interface quickly and intuitively. By implementing these services and real service, it is predicted that DB-based information providing applications will be implemented as chatbots and will be changed to bi-directional communication through an interactive interface. it is predicted that DB-based information providing applications will be implemented as chatbots and will be changed to bi-directional communication through an interactive interface.   • The purpose of this study is to deliver both market-practical and civil-centric political implication for sharing economy by investigating the nature of consumer-adoption for car-sharing service. With the global interest and market proliferation of the sharing economy, various service models for sharing idle resources have also been released in Korea. Particularly, in case of car sharing service, public - private partnership projects are spreading rapidly in various local governments including Seoul, along with the growing demand for alternative transportation system centering on the urban area. This study conducted an empirical study on the process of accepting the car sharing service by analyzing the data collected from users of the car sharing service "Sharing Car(Nanum Car)" of Seoul Metropolitan Government. A survey was conducted on 281 users in their twenties who are in the age of main use among the experienced users of the "Sharing Car(NaNum)" residing in Seoul. The result of analysis on the relationship between these users' perceived value and intention to use the vehicle sharing service would provide implications for establishing consumer(citizen)-centeric policies as well as market implications.

  • SNS data can catch the user's thoughts and actions. And the trend of the search portal is a representative service that can observe the interests of users and their changes. In this paper, the relationship was analyzed by comparing statistics on narcotics incidents and the degree of exposure to narcotics related words in tweets of SNS and in the trends of search portal. It was confirmed that the trend of SNS and search portal trends was the same in the statistics of the prosecution office with a certain time difference.In addition, cluster analysis was performed to understand the meaning of tweets in which narcotics related words were mentioned. In the 50,000 tweets collected in January 2020, it was possible to find meaning related to the sale of actual drugs. Therefore, through SNS monitoring alone it is possible to monitor narcotics-related incidents and to find specific sales or purchase-related information, and this can be used in the investigation process. In the future, it is expected that crime monitoring and prediction systems can be proposed as related crime analysis may be possible not only with text but also images.

Classification Method of Multi-State Appliances in Non-intrusive Load Monitoring Environment based on Gramian Angular Field (Gramian angular field 기반 비간섭 부하 모니터링 환경에서의 다중 상태 가전기기 분류 기법)

  • Non-intrusive load monitoring is a technology that can be used for predicting and classifying the type of appliances through real-time monitoring of user power consumption, and it has recently got interested as a means of energy-saving. In this paper, we propose a system for classifying appliances from user consumption data by combining GAF(Gramian angular field) technique that can be used for converting one-dimensional data to the two-dimensional matrix with convolutional neural networks. We use REDD(residential energy disaggregation dataset) that is the public appliances power data and confirm the classification accuracy of the GASF(Gramian angular summation field) and GADF(Gramian angular difference field). Simulation results show that both models showed 94% accuracy on appliances with binary-state(on/off) and that GASF showed 93.5% accuracy that is 3% higher than GADF on appliances with multi-state. In later studies, we plan to increase the dataset and optimize the model to improve accuracy and speed.

  • The pandemic age came to us after the COVID19 broke out in the early of 2020, which resulted in many changes in our everyday life. One of the changes is non-contact transactions in economic activities, especially contact-free financial transactions are ever-increasing activities in the pandemic age. In non-contact financial transactions, security and trust are important issues that users are concerned about the most. So the paper examines how security and trust have effects on the attitudes of bank customers who use mobile banking applications on their smartphones. The study conducted factor ananlysis to extract research constructs using survey data gathered during Nobember of 2020 through February of 2021 across the nation. After extracting the constructs, the study checked validity, sampling adequacy, and internal reliability with KMO, Bartlett's test, and Crombach Alpha respectively. To make sure the purpose of the study, I do regression analysis. All factors of attitude had impacts on willingness on both of transactions and purchasing financial products. The results could give guidelines banks which want to attract more customers in open-banking environment through ever-more secure and trusty mobile banking application.

  • Recently, interest in home training and changes in lifestyle are expanding the market in the healthcare field, and high value-added fashion products reflecting the dumbbell economy phenomenon are being released. This study had the following objectives: to investigate the possibility of developing a fashion item that can be applied to the dumbbell economy phenomenon; to develop the UI/UX of a smartphone application for beginners who wish to work out their upper and lower bodies regardless of time and space; and to create a wearable customized smart athleisure fashion device. First, the study identified factors related to exercise methods, breathing techniques, and range of exercises for beginners by investigating the postures of workouts of the upper and lower bodies by angles. Based on the results, the study collected empirical data through a user needs analysis from muscle strengthening exercise experts to verify the significance of the study and use as fundamental data. Second, the study developed the UI/UX of a smartphone application with three different contents: counting, suggesting exercise postures, and providing exercise calendars. Further, the study analyzed necessary user-centered concepts and characteristics in terms of design and technology and developed a wearable customized smart athleisure fashion device based on the results.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an analysis and implications for the metaverse-based virtual real estate transaction service. Through blockchain-based technology and metaverse, the world we live in is expanding naturally. Therefore, changes in the environment and perceptions of market participants are also very important factors. The concept and thinking about the existing asset value change and investment are also changing. This means that you can generate profits through value and investment in intangible assets. The service user aspect is a case of investing in the future value of virtual real estate that if more users participate rather than the present value, the principle of supply and demand will be applied to increase the number of consumers and the price will naturally rise according to the principle of scarcity. The service provider provides a technical platform for the service to directly transact the portion of the virtual area considered of interest directly through the virtual real estate purchase business. As the number of participants increases as well as funds and transaction fees, various revenue models such as advertisements can be discovered and provided. It plays the role of providing jobs and information through new services. As a stakeholder, governments can exploit the emergence of new technologies and products to create people and services and secure economic benefits. Of course, various institutional supports should be provided so that new services can settle in the market while mitigating risk factors. This study is meaningful in that it contributes to the establishment of a domestic metaverse-based environment and related research and is utilized in the study of virtual space real estate services.
