The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of location factors on sales by restaurant type in the six districts of Seoul (Jongno-gu, Jung-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Gangnam-gu, Seocho-gu, and Songpa-gu). Ordinary least squares (OLS) regression model is selected for four restaurant types whose spatial autocorrelation is not identified, spatial lag model (SLM) is only selected for seafood restaurant, and spatial error model (SEM) is selected for nine other restaurant types. The floating population and the workers of surrounding businesses have generally positive effects on the sales of restaurants. The floating population elasticity of the sales of restaurants are found to be in the descending order of Oriental food, pub, Western food, and traditional food restaurant, and the elasticity of the workers of surrounding businesses are in the descending order of bakery, Oriental food, and Western food restaurant. The spatial multiplier effects are in the descending order of Oriental food, pub, and Western food restaurant. There is a statistically significant sales gap between roast meat, pub, and bakery in Gangnam-gu and those in five other districts. The results of this research can help in starting a restaurant in that they can provide information on the suitability of location by restaurant type.

This paper analyzes the effects of three factors on the firm-size wage premium which have not been considered in previous studies: the worker compositions within firms, the wage differentials between contractors and subcontractors, and the performance pay and rent-sharing behaviors of firms. The main results are as follows. First, even after controlling for the various worker characteristics, the differences in shares of highly educated workers, managers, and professionals between large and small firms make the size-wage premium larger. Secondly, wage differentials between contractors and subcontractors also affect the size-wage premium in the manufacturing sector. Thirdly, high performance pay and active rent-sharing behaviors of large manufacturing firms make the size-wage premium larger. These results imply that a positive matching effect among skilled workers, a structural problem between contractors and subcontractors, and differences in rent-sharing behaviors between large and small firms have affected the firm-size wage premium in the South Korean labor market.

잘 만들어진 디지털콘텐츠는 사용자들에게 정확한 정보를 전달하여 교육과 학습에 도움을 주고, 무료한 생활에 활력소 역할을 할 수 있으며, 다양한 산업 분야의 융합을 야기하는 촉매제의 역할을 할 수 있지만 어떻게 만들어야 잘 만든 결과물을 만들 수 있을지에 대한 의문점은 쉽게 깨트려지지 않는다. 제작 기술이나 제작 인력의 확보 등 콘텐츠를 제작할 수 있는 환경이 잘 구축되어야 하며, 제작자의 노력이 보장되어야 한다. 또한, 사용자가 쉽게 구매하여 사용할 수 있으며, 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 환경이 되어야 한다. 디지털콘텐츠 환경은 개별적인 환경 조성이 아니라 정보, 기업, 학교, 가정이 유기적으로 결합된 환경 생태계의 구성이 필요하다고 본다. 본 특집에서는 디지털콘텐츠 사업체나 전문가들이 알아야 할 디지털콘텐츠 정책 방향에 대해서 알아보고, 게임실무반에서 논의 중인 기능성게임 인증 기술 관련 국내표준화 이슈, 다양한 실감형혼합현실의 기술 동향, IEEE P3079에서 논의 중인 가상현실 멀미 저감을 위한 기술, MPEG에서 논의되는 콘텐츠와 사용자 간의 인터랙션을 제공하기 위한 사용자 인터페이스 기술, SC24에서 논의되고 있는 MAR 기술 등의 국제표준화 이슈를 다룬다.

This paper explores the impact of the external workers on employment performance in Korea, using Workplace Panel Survey (WPS). I find the use of external workers, e.g., temporary agency workers, in-subcontract workers, and contract workers, is mainly negatively related with employment performance. Especially the use of in-subcontract workers and contract workers is negatively related with the job creation rate of standard workers and the net growth rate of internal workers. The results show the existence of a substitute effect between the use of internal and external workers.

최근 감시카메라의 사용률이 증가하고 있다. 개인 사업체, 전문 감시업체, 일반 기업 및 공공기관 등 감시카메라는 폭넓게 사용된다. 하지만 현재 설치된 감시카메라는 녹화된 감시영상이나 카메라 컨트롤을 관리자가 언제 어디서나 확인하고 조절할 수 없다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 TCP/IP기반의 네트워크에서 PDA로 Wi-Fi를 이용하여 접속한 후 감시카메라를 제어하거나 영상을 확인하는 방법을 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 서버 컴퓨터는 카메라의 영상을 받고 팬틸트 컨트롤을 하게한다. 클라이언트 컴퓨터는 PC와 PDA를 이용하여 서버에 접속한 뒤 실시간으로 영상을 받아오고 카메라 팬틸트를 컨트롤 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 내용은 Wi-Fi가 사용가능한 곳에 있는 사용자가 언제 어디서나 감시카메라의 영상을 보고 컨트롤 하는데 유용할 것이다.

This paper attempts to verify that the economic gap between the workers in (large) firms with unions and those in (small and medium size) firms with no unions has recently been widened rapidly. A comparison of the wages of the workers belonging to the business establishments with and without trade union shows that the union premium has increased very sharply since 1997, after a relatively long periods with little changes. Also found is that union sector has witnessed a sharper decline in the share of the new entrants among workers as well as a faster increase of the average tenure of workers. These all indicate that the trade unions have forced a market equilibrium to move farther away from the competitive equilibrium in recent years.

기업의 물류활동은 화물의 기종점 정보와 더불어 출발지와 도착지간 수배송특성, 업종간 거래 관계, 가격흐름, 경로 등 다양한 공급사슬관점에서 설명되어야 한다. 본 연구는 화물의 흐름을 물적인 흐름의 공급사슬망인 유통경로 관점에서 실증분석을 목적으로 한다. 그동안 공공부문의 물류관련 연구들은 물류현황조사 자료로부터 지역간 기종점 통행량에 기초하여 물류시설을 포함한 국가의 사회간접자본 투자정책에 주로 활용된 경향이 있었다. 또한, 민간부문의 유통경로 관련 연구는 주로 상적인 유통경로에 한정되어 보다 종합적인 공급사슬관리 측면에서 기업의 물적 유통경로선택에 대한 이해가 부족하였다. 본 연구에서는 2001년 전국물류현황조사중 기업의 물류실태조사에서 수행된 600개의 표본자료에 기초하여 기업들의 유통경로 선택의 특성을 분석하였다. 사용된 자료들의 설문조사방식은 다양한 유통노드들이 제시되고, 기업들이 상위 매출액이 높은 품목들이 다양한 유통경로 상에서 어떻게 노드들을 이용하는지 조사되었고, 이를 공장순회형, 물류센터 중심형, 도매자 중심형, 소비자 중심형 등 4개로 유형화하였다. 본 연구는 이들 4개의 유통경로들의 선택에 미치는 영향을 사업체 현황, 수배송현황, 물류활동평가, 물류시설관리 현황 등의 다양한 특성변수를 고려하여 선택에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

This paper explores agricultural extension systems, extension challenges, research and extension models, governance structures of agricultural extension and advisory services in Sudan. Agricultural extension services in Sudan are provided by a variety of governmental department and corporation. The Technology Transfer and Extension Administration under the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, had been launched during mid 2000's aims at making extension systems farmer driven and farmer accountable by way of new institutional arrangements for technology dissemination in the form of community participation approach at the state level, to make the extension reforms have the active participation of farmers/farmer groups. The main problem facing agricultural extension services in developing countries is poor link between extension organization and research. Both extension administration and Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC) are operating as departments of ministry of Agricultural and irrigation for very long time. There are three recommendations to achieve the effectiveness of the Agricultural Research Corporations (ARC) in reaching farmers. Firstly, extension staff members should be assigned to every ARC station. Secondly, the ARC might increase positions for Agricultural development specialist or Farming System Research (FSR) specialist. Their role would be to reflect the needed of farmer and translate them to the researchable topics. Thirdly, researcher should conduct more research on farmer's fields.

This paper examines the performance according to the combination pattern of HRM and business strategy. The business strategy was divided into Miles & Snow's prospector, defender, and analyzer. Data were collected from the Korea Labor Institute's workplace panel survey from 2005 to 2015, and the analysis used 465 companies that are common respondents of the six wave surveys. To test the research model, structural equation modeling was employed. The results of the analysis showed that the combination of high commitment HRM and prospector had a positively significant effect on the performance. Contrariwise, the combination of high commitment HRM and defender, the combination of high commitment HRM and analyzer were not significant effect on performance.

The number of public libraries in Korea has been increasing. However, the focus was on quantitative growth, while it did not have much interests in whether its growth trend are have deviations by region, and if that is a fact, what factors caused such a disparity. For this reason, this study analyzes spatial distribution of public libraries in Korea and its affecting factors of regional gap. As a result, public libraries are constantly distributing in the metropolitan area and the distribution of public libraries showed deviations by region. The results of analysis regarding the determinants of public libraries distribution, rate of population growth, the number of businesses and financial independence rate are found to have a positive effect but local taxes per capita are not. Especially economic power of region and financial ability of a local government are key factors of regional disparity. It shows empirically that the supply of public libraries has been determined by the convenience of suppliers.
