Evaluating Importance of Defects through Defect Dispute Case Study in Apartment Buildings (하자분쟁사례를 통한 공동주택 하자 중요도 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Various defects that occur in the maintenance stage are connected to all kinds of wasted resources and economic losses as additional investments are made. Residents are harmed temporally, materially, and psychologically, and businesses suffer not only monetary losses but also reduced credit ratings. The aim of this study was to increase the efficiency of quality management and minimize defect disputes by estimating the importance of the defect type considering the defect frequency and severity in apartment buildings. For this, 7,548 defect items for 48 apartment buildings were examined. The analysis confirmed that defects are concentrated on RC, finishing and MEP work. In addition, defects with high importance are identified as broken, incorrect installation, missing tasks, and water problems. In addition, the exterior wall/roof, the Internal wall, ceiling, and floor, which are constructed in the field, are more important than the furniture and MEP equipment installed in the field.

Development of Accident Cases-based Fire Risk Assessment Checklist for Active Response on Construction Sites (사례분석을 통한 건설현장 화재위험도 평가 체크리스트 개발)

  • On the construction site, there exists frequently a high likelihood that a fire accident can lead to a large-scale disaster. In the previous studies, the diverse outcomes have been focused on the improvement of relative statutes and tried to realize the suppression and confrontation of the fire accidents. In this study, the limitations on the site were identified through prior research reviews, and the fire risk assessment checklist was proposed through the analysis of the massive accident cases. The checklist was divided into the prevention and minimization steps and developed into 16 categories of total risk factors. According to the results from the cases applied in this study, if the installation status is checked, such as removing combustibles, and broadcasting facilities for evacuation are installed, it is expected that the casualties will be minimized or zeroed. By developing a fire risk assessment checklist, this study provides the implications of the theoretical and realistic fire accident prevention, and supports the ways to minimize the damage resulted from the fire accidents on construction sites. In the further, deriving universe and common items about repeated occurrences of a work type will be needed as a subsequent research.

Estimation of Hwanggang dam operation rule using satellite-based water level and reservoir operation algorithm (인공위성 기반 수위와 저수지운영 알고리즘을 이용한 북한 황강댐 운영방식 추정)

  • 황강댐은 임진강 상류 군사분계선으로부터 약 42km떨어진 위치에 존재하며 약 3~4억톤의 규모로 추정된다. 이에 우리나라는 약 7천만톤 규모의 군남홍수조절지를 건설하여 임진강 상류로부터 기인하는 홍수를 방어하고 황강댐의 무단방류에 대비하고 있다. 과거 2009년 9월 6일 임진강 상류 황강댐에서의 대규모 방류로 인해 경기도 연천군 일대에 홍수가 발생하여 이로 인한 인명 및 재산피해가 발생한 바 있으며, 2020년 8월 5일에는 장마전선으로 인한 폭우와 더불어 임진강 필승교 수위관측소의 수위가 급상승하면서 관측 이래 역대 최고수위가 발생하여 홍수경보가 발령되고 인근 주민이 대피하는 사례가 발생하였다. 또한, 2022년 6월 27일부터 발생한 장마전선 및 집중호우로 인해 임진강 필승교 수위관측소의 수위가 급상승하면서 홍수주의보가 발령되고 인근 주민이 대피하는 사례가 발생하였으며, 7월에는 비가 내리지 않는 상황에서 황강댐의 방류로 추정되는 유입량이 필승교 수위관측소와 군남홍수조절지에서 관측되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인공위성 영상에서 추출한 황강댐의 수위를 이용하여 수문모형과 저수지 운영 알고리즘을 구축하고 당시 발생한 홍수사례를 분석하여 황강댐의 운영방식을 추정하였다. 분석결과, 2020년 8월 5~7일 사이에 발생한 유입량의 경우 자체 유역 유입량은 전체 유입량대비 약 33%이나 북한 황강댐으로부터 추가로 방류된 양은 약 67%로 군남홍수조절지 유입량의 3/2 가량이 북한 황강댐의 방류량으로부터 발생된 것으로 보이며 2021년 6월에도 유사한 양상을 보였다. 하지만, 북한 황강댐의 운영방식이 용수공급을 위한 고수위 유지 운영방식에서 홍수기에 댐 월류 및 파괴를 방지하기 위한 사전방류를 수행하는 것으로 추정되었다.

A Performance Analysis of the Cleaner Production Program ECOPROFIT for Korean Regional Industry (청정생산프로그램 ECOPROFIT의 국내 도입 성과분석)

  • In this study, Austrian cleaner production program, ECOPROFIT, was introduced to 15 companies in Korea. The performance and the proposed options of the program were compared with those of Austria. Various options such as good housekeeping, process changes, internal/external recycling, substitution of raw materials were suggested for domestic companies. There are something in common between Korea and Austria such as no relation between company sizes and derived options and good housekeeping as a major option. The difference is that 1.9 years of recovery period on investment is required in Korea, while only 0.5 year is required in Austria. The reason for not applying the suggestions was due to the priority of the company policies in Korea, but was due to the technical problems in Austria. To activate the cleaner production in the Korean regional industry, more systematic analysis on the examples and performances as well as additional studies to disseminate informations and the best practices are necessary.

Development of Landscape Urbanism in Practice (랜드스케이프 어바니즘의 실천적 전개 양상)

  • The Practice of Landscape Urbanism has been criticized on two aspects; Landscape Urbanism does not yet provide differentiated forms of planning and design neither able to fill the gap between theory and practice. In response to these criticisms, Landscape Urbanists have tried to provide additional cases that can exemplify achievements of Landscape Urbanism in practice. There has been another type of effort to suggest distinct planning and design strategies of Landscape Urbanism from theoretical texts. However, these approaches overlooked the fact that professional practice actually gave huge influence on the theoretical framework of Landscape Urbanism. Based on this observation, the study examined the development process of Landscape Urbanism by verifying the correlation between its practice and theory. Through an extensive literature review, the study suggested horizontality, infrastructure, process, ecology, media, hybrid, site, and scale as eight major concepts of Landscape Urbanism. Afterwards, the study classified 51 projects cited in major essays and articles of Landscape Urbanism into four categories: Archetypal projects, precedent projects, exemplary projects, and progressive projects. The correlation between strategies of the selected projects and main theoretical concepts was analyzed. The study found out that the early stage of the theory was focused on defining and explaining the new design and planning approaches of contemporary design projects related with landscape. However, these days, Landscape Urbanism became a more productive in providing diverse types of practice sharing the direction and vision proposed by the theory. Various projects influenced in constructing theoretical structure of Landscape Urbanism as well as proved that the suggestions of Landscape Urbanism could be effective to reorganize contemporary cites in the form of design and planning strategies. The observation of this study can contribute to provide proper answers to the criticism on practice of Landscape Urbanism and be helpful in understanding the limits and unrealized potentials of Landscape Urbanism as a practical theory.

Development of a Software Do-TRIZ for TRIZ Learning (트리즈 학습용 소프트웨어 Do-TRIZ 개발)

  • TRIZ is a theory of inventive problem solving. Recently the importance of creative capabilities is being emphasized and many successful cases using TRIZ are being introduced, therefore interest in TRIZ has been increasing. But TRIZ is not easy to learn alone compared to other creative thinking tools. Although it is effective to learn TRIZ through various cases, it is not easy for beginners to experience those many cases. Therefore, we developed a software called Do-TRIZ for TRIZ learning. Do-TRIZ provides descriptions and various examples of key concepts to make it easier for beginners to learn TRIZ. Also, the learners can add new cases continuously on Do-TRIZ. Especially, process-based problem solving modules have been implemented on Do-TRIZ, in order to make it possible to solve problems based on technical contradiction, physical contradiction, and IFR(Ideal Final Result). The learners can use the modules to solve their problems and to share the results. Also, we implemented Do-TRIZ Memo app that works with Do-TRIZ.

Retrospective Analysis Study of False-Positive Amphetamine Immunoassay Cases and Negative Cases after Withdrawal while Taking Herbal Medicine-Containing Ephedra Sinica Confirmed in a Korean Medicine Obesity Clinic (한의 비만 클리닉에서 확인된 마황 함유 한약 복용 중 암페타민 면역측정법의 위양성 사례 및 휴약 후 음성 사례의 후향적 분석연구)

  • Herbal medicine (HM)-containing Ephedra Sinica (ES) has been associated with false-positive amphetamine immunoassay (FP IA) results. This study retrospectively evaluated the effects of dose, duration, and withdrawal instructions on FP IA and the safety of HM-containing ES at a clinic in Seoul from 2022 to 2023. The study included 6 patients in the FP IA group and 5 patients in the withdrawal instruction negative (Neg) group. The pre-test ephedrine alkaloids dose in the FP IA group was 95.17±31.90 mg, compared with 88.6±20.43 mg in the Neg group. The FP IA group had taken HM for 226.67±152.87 days before testing, and testing was performed while taking HM. In contrast, the Neg group had taken HM for 147.6±23.49 days and had 5.4±1.50 days of withdrawal period before the test following instructions of Korean medicine doctors. All adverse events (AEs) were moderate in severity, and the number of occurrences was similar: 5 in the FP IA group and 7 in the Neg group. AEs included constipation, insomnia (3 cases each), and palpitations (2 cases). The results of this study show that ES-induced FP IA can be resolved with withdrawal instructions and ES can be safely prescribed and administered by Korean medicine doctors. Further studies are needed to determine how to prevent FP IA after taking ES.

만화로 보는 농약안전사용 및 보관

  • 최근 안전성 향상을 위한 업계의 개발노력과 일선 지도기관의 계도, 농업인의 안전사용 의식 향상 등이 어우러져 살포 중 중독사고가 현저히 줄어드는가 하면 우리 농산물 안전성 또한 지속적으로 향상되고 있다. 특히 우리농산물 안전성은 지난해까지 1.1%였던 부적합률이 올해 상반기에는 0.8%로 낮아져 더욱 안전한 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 그럼에도 이를 비웃기라도 하듯 최근 분제농약을 밀가루로 오인, 부침개를 만들어 팔아 발생한 식품안전사고는 일어탁수(一魚濁水)의 우려가 충분한 좋지 않은 사례가 될까 적잖이 걱정이다. 물론 이를 계기로 농촌진흥청과 업계는 제품자체에 검은색을 내는 색소와 고약한 냄새가 나는 악취제, 잘못해 먹었을때 즉시 토하도록 하는 구토제를 추가 사입, 밀가루와 확연히 구별토록 하고 취급제한기준을 강화하는 한편 그 이행여부를 철저히 점검키로 하는 등 지난 2003년에 이은 강도 높은 분제농약 개선방안을 마련함으로써 재발방지를 위한 발 빠른 움직임을 보이고 있다. 그러나 무엇보다 중요한 것은, 농약에 대한 각자의 안전의식이다. 농약은 의약품이 아니다. 올바른 사용 및 보관에 대한 평소 인식을 단단히 가져야 한다. 그래야만 안전을 담보할 수 있기 때문이다. 여기에서는 본격적인 농약사용 성수기를 맞아 농약 살포 전과 살포 중, 살포 후에 주의해야 할 사항을 만화를 통해 알아본다.

  • 양질의 소프트웨어제품과 서비스를 생산하는 방법은 우수한 선례를 답습하거나, 성공한 선례를 해당 응용업무에 맞도록 발전시키는 것이다. 즉 프로세스들의 모임인 소프트웨어 프로세스를 각각의 소프트웨어 서비스와 시스템의 개발목적에 부합하도록 정의하는 것이다. 프로세스 모임은 정보화사업의 포괄적 관리가 가능하게하며, 사업제기부서가 소프트웨어 시스템에 대한 전반적인 의무와 책임을 갖게 하며, 정보화사업 감리에 있어서 감리 목표 정립과 감리의 시행을 명확하게 한다. 소프트웨어 서비스 및 시스템 개발에 있어서 적합한 프로세스의 모임을 목표프로세스 프로파일(Target Process Profile) 이라고 명명하였다. TPP을 정의함에 있어서는 정의할 대상시스템의 성능과 시스템의 효과성이 어느 정도 가시화되는 여건에서, 소프트웨어 서비스 및 시스템의 수명주기 목표, 수명주기 아키텍쳐 및 수명주기 계획을 도출한다. 즉 아키텍쳐 접근방법, 소프트웨어프로세스의 정착, 및 국제표준의 프로세스에서의 프로세스 모임규칙을 근간으로 하여 TPP의 프레임워크(Framework)을 시안을 작성하였다. 소프트웨어공학의 발전과정에서 프로세스 능력의 성숙도 기준으로 프로세스 모임을 이룬것에 추가하여, 논자는 ISO/IEC 15504 TR 프로세스간의 전후관계에서 TPP을 위한 작업산출물 도출방법을 정의하였다. TPP에 의한 정보화추진은 정보화시대에서 소프트웨어 품질 및 가격에서 경쟁력을 가져오는 요인이 될 것이다.

Literature Survey on Pyrovalve Technology in USA (미국의 파이로밸브 기술에 관한 문헌조사)

  • The pyrovalves are widely used in aerospace industry for the opening and closing of flow channel due to the light-weight, high reliability and zero-leakage. In the United States, the loss of some spacecrafts using hydrazine as the propellent were proven by the blowby. Blowby is defined as the leakage of pyrovalve ignition combustion gas to the flow channel. Since then, the interference fit was applied for the sealing of piston to prevent the blowby. In this study, literature survey on pyrovalve technology is summarized mainly for AIAA papers. Common problems, improvement method, and performance comparisons of pyrovalves are also presented.
