Technology of flood monitoring using UAV (UAV를 이용한 홍수모니터링 기술)

  • 기후변화에 따른 집중호우의 발생빈도와 강도가 증가하면서 대규모 홍수로 인한 인명 및 재산피해가 발생하고 있다. 그에 따라 홍수 상황을 신속하게 확보하고 홍수피해를 빠르게 예측하는 모니터링 기술이 필요하다. 최근 공간정보 분야에서 무인항공기 (UAV: Unmanned aerial vehicles)를 이용한 3차원 지형자료 확보 연구가 활발하게 이용되고 있다. 무인항공기는 지형자료 구축 뿐 만 아니라 홍수 시 신속한 홍수 모니터링이 가능하기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 무인항공기를 이용하여 홍수 전 지형자료 구축을 비롯하여, 홍수 시 모니터링, 홍수 후 지형자료 구축에 이르기까지 UAV를 이용한 홍수 모니터링 기술을 소개한다. 연구대상지는 금강 합류 직전 논산천 하류 1 km 지점으로, UAV를 이용한 지형자료를 구축하기 이전에 좌표 매칭을 위한 GCP (Ground Control Point ) 측량을 실시하고, UAV 비행계획을 수립하고 촬영한다. 촬영된 영상을 GCP좌표와 소프트웨어 (Pix4D)를 이용하여 정사영상과 DSM(Digital Surface Model)자료를 구축한다. 홍수시 UAV를 이용한 촬영을 통하여 동영상은 수재해 플랫폼에 송신하고, 이미지 영상은 홍수 전 영상처리와 동일한 방법을 이용하여 지형 자료를 구축하여, 홍수시 침수심이나 지형변화를 분석한다.

  • The purpose of this study is leading to reduce the setup time and cost of the ground telemetry system for FA-50 program. And using the accumulated experience during T-50 and TA-50 development period, remove the risk of development and construct the optimal ground telemetry system for FA-50. For this study, collect the ground telemetry data of the T-50/TA-50, analyze the data and problems and then suggest the optimal telemetry ground system for FA-50.

  • The KSR-3 magnetometers consist of the fluxgate magnetometer (MAG/AIM) for acquiring the rocket flight attitude information, and the search-coil magnetometer (MAG/SIM) for the observation of the Earth's magnetic fluctuations. The position (latitude, longitude, and height) and flight condition (the transformation angle) of the rocket is measured after the data based on these two magnetometers are compared with IGRF The gap in the vector of magnetic field between the position of the launching point and an impact point is taken into account in data reduction. Angular variation of pitch, yaw, and roll can be researched when the data is applied to the coordinate system of the rocket.

  • Recently, much demand of vector data have increased rapidly such as a digital map instead of traditional a paper map and the raster data such as a high-resolution orthoimage have been used for many GIS application with the advent of industrial high-resolution satellites and development of aerial optical sensor technologies. Aerial photogrammetric technologies using an airship can offer cost-effective and high-resolution color images as well as real time images, different from conventional remote sensing measurements. Also, it can acquire images easily and its processing procedure is short and simple relatively. On the other hand, it has often been used for the production of a small-scale land use map not required high accuracy, monitoring of linear infrastructure features through mosaicking strip images and construction of GIS data. Through this study, the developed aerial photogrammetric system using the airship expects to be applied to not only producing of scale 1:5, 000 digital map but also verifying, editing, and updating the digital map which was need to be reproduced. Further more, providing the various type of video-images, it expects to use many other GIS applications such as facilities management, scenery management and construction of GIS data for Urban area.

  • In this study, we try to develope the radio control photographing system with 35 mm camera to obtain 3-dimension large scale geographic information more effectively, to automatize and computerize the basic design and practical design of road. By applying this system on getting data which is needed to design road, this study has an object to promote efficiency in possesion and management of geographic information. As result of this study, this system could obtain geographic information effectively on the object region, could get large scale geographic information which was suitable for expected accuracy by photographing in 400 m height and could ac-quire profile, crossection and earth-work volume quickly and exactly.

  • Aeromagnetic survey generally require much more pre-processing steps than that of common land survey due to several complex and cumbersome steps included in pre-processing stage. Therefore it is desirable to use specific processing tool especially based on graphic user interface. For this purpose, aeromagnetic pre-processing software based on graphic user interface under the Windows environment, called $KMagLevelling^{TM}$ was developed and briefly introduced. In an aspect of its user-friendliness and originality, three noticeable features of $KMagLevelling^{TM}$ are summarized as the following (1) function of representation and handling for large amount of aeromagnetic data set as a visualization in the form of flight-path (2) function of selective exclusion of unwanted data by using survey area information expressed as polygon, and (3) function of selective removal processing for the irregular flight-path data acquired within the entire survey area by implementing the segmentation of flight-path technique.

A Study on Mission Analysis in Consideration of Effectiveness Measurement of UAV System Operations (UAV 체계운용효과도를 고려한 임무분석 연구)

  • This paper deals with a study on mission analysis considering the effectiveness measurement of UAV system operations. This mission analysis process is composed of 5 steps; (1) creation of a base model in MANA, (2) design of input parameter set using experiment design, (3) mapping input parameter set to the MANA scenario file, (4) data farming and model run in batch process, and (5) statistical analysis of the simulation result. In the result of this study, the effect of input parameter to the dependent parameter was shown to decrease in the order classification range, sweep width, height, speed, FOV(Field of view), and classification probability. The study also shows that the operational effectiveness of an improved scenario proposed can increase 10.2% from the base scenario.

Determination of the Optimal Parameters in Data Processing for the Precision Geoid Construction (정밀 지오이드 구축을 위한 자료처리의 최적 변수 결정)

  • To solve the problems of distribution and quality on land gravity data, airborne gravity survey was performed in 2008 obtaining the airborne gravity data with accuracy of 1.56mGal. Since airborne gravity data is the obtained at the flight height, it is necessary to convert the airborne gravity data to the surface to combine various gravity data and compute precision geoid. In addition, Stokes' integral radius, Stokes' kernel and the radius of terrain effect computation should be optimally determined to calculate precision geoid. In this study, we made an effort to decide the optimal parameters based on the distribution and the characteristic of gravity data. Then, two geoid models were calculated using the selected parameters and the difference of geoid was calculated with mean of -16.95cm and the standard deviation of ${\pm}8.50cm$. We consider that this difference is due to the distribution and errors on the gravity data. For future work, the study on the effect of geoid with newly obtained land gravity data ship-borne gravity data and GPS/Leveling data should be conducted. Furthermore, the study on the downward continuation and terran effect calculation should be studied in detail for better precision geoid construction.

  • CORONA는 미국이 1960년에서 1972년까지 냉전시대 관심지역에 대한 첩보영상을 취득하기 위하여 운영한 영상취득시스템으로 1995년 일반에 자료가 공개됨에 따라 과거의 고해상도 영상자료를 이용할 수 있는 길이 열리게 되었다. 그러나 현재까지 CORONA 영상처리를 위한 모듈을 제공하는 원격탐측 소프트웨어가 개발되어 있지 않기 때문에 CORONA 영상을 이용하여 수치표고모형이나 정사영상을 제작하기 위해서는 적절한 모델링 방법이 필요하다. CORONA 영상은 파노라마 영상으로 필름 가장자리로 갈수록 왜곡이 많이 생기며 사진기 지표가 없고 위성의 궤도와 위치, 자세, 속도, IMC(Image Motion Compensation)에 대한 자세한 자료를 제공하지 않는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 지형복원을 위하여 지상기준점을 이용하는 2가지 모델링 방법을 이용하였다. 첫 번째는 파노라마 왜곡과 촬영 비행체 이동에 의한 왜곡, IMC에 의한 왜곡을 보정하는 모형식을 구성하여 이용하였으며, 두 번째는 위성과 센서에 대한 정보를 필요로 하지 않는 다항식비례모형(RFM; Rational Function Model)을 이용하였다. 대상지역은 서울지역의 입체영상으로 대략 $33km{\times}26km$ 지역이다. 영상은 지상해상도 약 2.7m로 스캐닝하였고 1:1000 수치지도를 통해 20개의 기준점과 36개의 검사점을 관측하였다. 검사점의 위치정확도를 평가해 본 결과 첫 번째 방법은 수평방향으로 평균 3.9m(X), 2.8m(Y)의 오차를 보였으며 표고의 경우 4.2m의 오차를 보여주었다. 두 번째 방법은 수평방향으로 평균 3.2m(X), 2.8m(Y)의 오차를 보였으며 표고의 경우 5.5m의 오차를 보여주었다. 지형복원 정확도를 검증하기 위하여 첫 번째 방법을 이용하여 대상지역 중 일부인 서울 남산지역에 대해 정사영상과 10m간격의 DEM을 제작하였으며 1:1000 수치지도를 통해 제작된 DEM과 비교한 결과 총 43990개 격자점의 표고 차이는 평균 5.98m였다.

Free-air anomaly from Airborne Gravity Surveying (항공중력측정에 의한 프리에어 이상 산출)

  • The gravity data collected and reserved in Korea is seriously biased in its distribution. That is, only the west-southern part of the peninsula including Chungcheong and Jeonla area has dense distribution while only a part is covered in Gyoungsang area. Especially, the low density of the gravity data in mountainous area basically limits the accuracy of the gravimetric geoid in Korea. As one of the solution to overcome the problem, an airborne gravity survey were conducted from Dec. 2008 $\sim$ Jan. 2009. In this study, free-air gravity anomaly derived from the airborne gravity data which has consistent quality are presented. The data processing for the airborne gravity is composed of several corrections of errors such as errors from gravity measurement, errors from flight dynamics, errors from GPS, and errors from time synchronization. We presented detailed explanations on the data processing with the final cross-over results. The free-air anomaly from airborne gravity finally shows the cross-over accuracy of 2.21mGal which reflects the precision of each track is 1.56mGal. It is expected that the result from this study will play a role as input data in precision geoid determination with ground and ship-borne gravity data after appropriate fusion process.
