This paper introduce a new touchless fingerprint sensor. Two mirrors are used to capture the side fingerprint images which cannot detectable using a single camera. We also propose the techniques which can solve the image contrast, nonuniform illumination, DOF(Depth of Field) problems. This new sensor leads to bringing new challenges in the field of fingerprint recognition.
This paper proposes an system to generate rolled-equivalent fingerprints by mosaicking sequential images captured by an toothless device. To capture rolled-equivalent fingerprints, previous works use multiple cameras. However, the method in this paper captures sequential fingerprint images with a single camera and mosaic the images by estimating the transform between images through optical flow.

In this study, we developed an automated non-contact thickness measurement machine that continuously and precisely measures the thickness and warp of a PCB product using a laser sensor. The system contains a measurement part to measure the thickness in real time automatically according to the set conditions with an alignment supply unit and unloading unit to separate OK and NG products. The measurement machine was utilized to evaluate the performance at each step to minimize measurement error. At the zero setting for the initial setup, the standard deviation of the 216 samples was determined to be $5.52{\mu}m$. A measurement error of 0.5mm and 1.0mm as a standard sample in the measurement accuracy assessment was found to be 2.48% and 2.28%, respectively. In the factory acceptance test, the standard deviation of 1.461mm PCB was measured as $28.99{\mu}m$, with a $C_{pk}$ of 1.2. The automatic thickness measurement machine developed in this study can contribute to productivity and quality improvement in the mass production process.
This paper studies on the noncontact displacement sensor system to detect the displacement of the cylinder rod. For an inexpensive and a simple process, magnetic scales are printed on the cylinder rod, and magnetized by the specially designed magnetizer that has an yoke through the alternation of N and S pole. Noncontact displacement sensor system consists of cylinder with magnetic scales, Hall sensor, linear guide, controller and display. The system can detect the displacement of moving cylinder with 5 cm/sec in the case of 1 mm magnetic scale. It shows a possibility of position detection of hydraulic cylinder and air cylinder.

Recently, the use of Robot increase little by little for the purpose of developing a welding quality and productivity in the arc welding part. It is more important to contact the seam for arc welding before moving a welding robot. There are two types of method to contact the seam namely contact and noncontact type largely In this paper, image processing sensor(a kind of non-contact sensor) is concerned to track the seam by using laser diode and CCD camera. A structured laser diode's light illuminated on the weld groove and the reflected shape is introduced by CCD camera. The image board captures this image and software analyzes this image. The robot is moved and welded exactly as acquired image X-Y data is changed with robot's X-Y value. Also, most of seam tracking are considered by changing the program simply in case of the different weld prove of plane surface.

In a shipbuilding process, thermal damage to the ship structure at the rear end results from an excessive heat input and conduction during welding process. To prevent such damage, appropriate control of the heat input, based on welding temperature measurement, is required. For temperature measurement, contact and non-contact methods are available; the thermography system is a popular non-contact temperature measurement. When the intensity of radiation from a high-temperature object is excessive, however, detecting the sensors of ordinary thermography systems leads to an inability in measuring the temperature due to saturation. Hence, this study suggests use of a neutral density filter that prevents an excessive amount of radiation from being accumulated in a thermography system, and thus makes it possible to quantitatively measure an object's temperature as high as $3000^{\circ}C$.

This study develops a time-varying system-based noncontact fabric sensor that can measure cerebral blood-flow signals to explore the possibility of brain blood-signal detection and emotional evaluation. The textile sensor was implemented as a coil-type sensor by combining 30 silver threads of 40 deniers and then embroidering it with the computer machine. For the cerebral blood-flow measurement experiment, subjects were asked to attach a coil-type sensor to the carotid artery area, wear an electrocardiogram (ECG) electrode and a respiration (RSP) measurement belt. In addition, Doppler ultrasonography was performed using an ultrasonic diagnostic device to measure the speed of blood flow. The subject was asked to wear Meta Quest 2, measure the blood-flow change signal when viewing the manipulated image visual stimulus, and fill out an emotional-evaluation questionnaire. The measurement results show that the textile-sensor-measured signal also changes with a change in the blood-flow rate signal measured using the Doppler ultrasonography. These findings verify that the cerebral blood-flow signal can be measured using a coil-type textile sensor. In addition, the HRV extracted from ECG and PLL signals (textile sensor signals) are calculated and compared for emotional evaluation. The comparison results show that for the change in the ratio because of the activation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems due to visual stimulation, the values calculated using the textile sensor and ECG signals tend to be similar. In conclusion, a the proposed time-varying system-based coil-type textile sensor can be used to study changes in the cerebral blood flow and monitor emotions.
