Stiffness Test of Dowel Bar for fainted Concrete Pavement (콘크리트 포장의 다웰바 전단거동 실험)

  • Shear test procedure for concrete-dowel interaction was proposed along with determination of dowel support reaction factor or shear spring stiffness constant using the spreadsheet example. For this task, three AASHTO-type standard specimens were prepared to simulate behavior of the jointed concrete pavement. A side support system was adopted to minimize twisting of the test specimen which had been observed in a preliminary test. A typical elastic behavior of the dowel-concrete interaction was observed from several test loops of loading, unloading and reloading procedures. However load versus slab displacement represents to be nonlinear. Test results show that the dowel support reaction factor ranges from 550-880 GN/m3, which is 1.4-2.2 times greater than 407GN/m3 proposed by Yoder and Witczak. This is because less torsional distraction was occurred with the help of a side support system adopted in this experiment. The dowel support reaction factor or shear spring stiffness constant obtained from the procedures proposed in this paper may be used as a reference data for the structural analysis of jointed concrete pavement.

Application of Rotary Cutting Test for Performance Assessment of Tunnel Boring Extender (TBE의 굴착성능 평가를 위한 회전식 절삭시험의 적용)

  • In this study, the cutting efficiency of TBE (Tunnel Boring Extender) was evaluated by using rotary cutting tester. In the rotary cutting test, a specimen which has a drilled hollow hole at the center was made of rock-like material. The specimen was cut by UDC (undercutting disc cutter) with spiral cutting path to simulate the cutting process of TBE. The cutting forces and specific energy were evaluated under different cutting conditions. The results indicated that the cutter forces of UDC linearly increased with the vertical and radial penetration depths. Among the three directional cutter forces, the normal force is larger than other force components. While the specific energy decreased with the two penetration depths, in particular, it was presumed that the specific energy was minimized at a certain value of the ratio of radial to vertical penetration depth.

  • This paper presents the new control strategy that can minimizes the torque ripple by considering the magnetic nonlinearity and phase torque averlapping intervals, and describes the whole SRM drive system using proposed control method implemented by DSP(Digital Signal Processor). To do this, inductance and torque are, at first, measured according to the variation of rotor position angle while current is kept constant at predetermined several values. From these measured values, the entire inductance and torque for any current and rotor position are inferred by using neural network. And the waveform of the reference phase torque is determined for the torque ripple to be minimized considering the torque overlap between phases. The controller is designed for the actual torque obtained by the inferred torque look-up table using measured current and rotor position angle to track the predetermined reference phase torque by delta modulation technique. To perform a real time processing and ensure the reliability of the controller, DSP is implemented.

Anti-Jamming Performance of Chaos Communications System Using DCSK and CDSK Modulation Method (DCSK와 CDSK 방식을 사용하는 카오스 통신 시스템의 항재밍 특성)

  • Digital communication technology have been focused on the higher data efficiency and the effective coding of information. Also, it is very important to improve security and minimize the interference of the external sources, Chaos communications system is studied to improve security and minimize the interference by effective encoding of information in the nonlinear systems such as DCSK(Differential Chaos Shift Keying) and CDSK(Correlation Delay Shift Keying). In this paper, we evaluate anti-jamming performance of chaos communications system using the DCSK and CDSK system. The simulation results show that the Gauss iterated map has better BER performance than the other maps(tent map, logistic map, Henon map). Also, DCSK and CDSK system can get the better anti-jamming performance by applying different chaotic maps.

Ordered Interference Alignment in MIMO Interference Channel with Limited Feedback (제한된 궤환 채널 기반 MIMO 간섭 채널에서의 순서화 된 간섭 정렬 기법 설계)

  • Interference alignment (IA) is a data transmission technique that achieves the maximum degrees-of-freedom (DoF) in the multiuser interference channel for high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). However, most prior works on IA are based on the unrealistic assumption that perfect and global channel-state information (CSI) is available at all transmitters and receivers. In this paper, we propose the efficient design of feedback framework for IA that substantially suppresses the feedback overhead. While the feedback overhead in the conventional IA quadratically increases with K, the proposed feedback scheme supports the sequential exchange of computed IA precoders between transmitters and receivers and reduces the feedback overhead that linearly scales with K. Moreover, we analyze the residual interference due to the quantization error in limited feedback and propose the ordered IA algorithm that selects IA pair to minimize the sum residual interference in given channel realizations.

인공 신경망 기법을 이용한 제지공정의 지절 원인 분석

  • 제지공정의 지절 현상은 많은 공정 변수들이 복합적으로 작용하여 발생하는 가장 큰 공정 트러블 중의 하나이다. 지절은 생산량 감소 뿐만 아니라 발생 후 공정의 복구 와 정리, 생산재가동 및 공정의 재안정화를 위해 많은 시간과 비용, 그리고 노력이 투 입되어야 하므로 공정의 효율과 생산성을 크게 저하시키는 요인이다. 그러나 지절 현상 의 복잡성 때문에 이에 대해 쉽게 접근하거나 해결하지 못하고 있는 것이 현실이지만 그 필요성은 더욱 더 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 들어 각종 산업분야에서 복잡 한 공정상의 결점 발견 및 진단에 효과적이라고 인정받고 있는 예측 분석기법인 인공 신경망(artificial neural network) 시율레이션과 일반적인 통계기법 중의 하나인 주성분 분석을 이용하여 제지 공정의 지절 현상의 검토 가능성을 타진하였다. 인공신경망이란 인간두뇌에서 일어나는 자극-반응-학습과정을 모사하여 현실세계에 존재하는 다양한 현상들의 업력벡터와 출력상태 간의 비선형 mapping올 컴퓨터 시율 레이션을 통하여 분석하고자 하는 기법으로, 여러 가지 현상들을 학습을 통해서 인식하 는 신경망 내의 신경단위들이 병렬처리에 의해 많은 양의 자료에 대한 추론이나 판단 을 신속하고 정확하게 해주는 특징이 있으며 실시간 패턴인식이나 분류 응용분야에도 매우 매력적으로 이용되고 있는 방법이다. 이러한 인공 신경망 기법 중에서도 본 연구 에서는 퍼셉트론의 한계점을 극복하기 위하여 입력총과 출력층에 한 개 이상의 은닉층 ( (hidden layer)을 사용하여 다층 네트워으로 구성하고, 모든 입력패턴에 대하여 발생하 는 오차함수를 최소화하는 방향으로 연결강도를 조정하는 back propagation 학습 알고 리즘을 사용하였다. 지절의 원인으로 추정 가능한 공정인자들을 변수로 하여 최적의 인 공신경망을 구축하기 위해 학습률과 모멘트 상수의 변화 및 은닉층의 수와 출력층의 뉴런 수를 조절하는 동의 작업을 거쳐 네트워크의 정확도가 높은 인공신경망을 설계하 였다. 또한 이러한 인공신경망과의 비교분석을 위해 동일한 공정 데이터들올 이용하여 보편적으로 사용하는 통계기법 중의 하나인 주성분회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주성분 분석은 여러 개의 반응변수에 대하여 얻어진 다변량 자료의 다차원적인 변 수들을 축소, 요약하는 차원의 단순화와 더불어 서로 상관되어있는 반응변수들 상호간 의 복잡한 구조를 분석하는 기법이다. 본 발표에서는 공정 자료를 활용하여 인공신경망 과 주성분분석을 통해 공정 트러블의 발생에 영향 하는 인자들을 보다 현실적으로 추 정하고, 그 대책을 모색함으로써 이를 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 소개하고자 한다.

  • The objective of this study is to develop efficient numerical method to enable solution of optimal control problems of Navier-Stokes flows and to apply these technique to the problem of viscous drag minimization on a bluff body by controlling boundary velocities on the surface of the body. In addition to the industrial importance of the drag reduction problem, it serves as a model for other more complex flow optimization settings, and allows us to study, modify, and improve the behavior of the optimal control methods proposed here. The control is affected by the suction or injection of fluid on portions of the boundary, and the objective function represents the rate at which energy is dissipated in the fluid. This study shows how reduced Hessian successive quadratic programming method, which avoid converging the flow equations at each iteration, can be tailored to these problems.

Kinematic Modeling of a Track Trolley Using Extended Kalman Filter (확장 칼만필터를 이용한 궤도틀림 트롤리의 운동학적 모형화)

  • Continuous as well as discrete measurement of the track geometry based on a track trolley are investigated to enhance the efficiency of the trolley and to minimize the measurement errors. A new kinematic model based on the track coordinates involving transition and circular curves is developed to improve the accuracy of the measurement; a nonlinear Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is employed to linearize the governing equations. The proposed model is verified with the ideal track geometry in terms of both discrete and continuous measurement. Comparison with the previous models is also made to prove the applicability of the kinematic model.

A Linear-Time Heuristic Algorithm for k-Way Network Partitioning (선형의 시간 복잡도를 가지는 휴리스틱 k-방향 네트워크 분할 알고리즘)

  • Network partitioning problem is to partition a network into multiple blocks such that the size of cutset is minimized while keeping the block sizes balanced. Among these, iterative algorithms are regarded as simple and efficient which are based on cell move of Fiduccia and Mattheyses algorithm, Sanchis algorithm, or Kernighan and Lin algorithm. All these algorithms stipulate balanced block size as a constraint that should be satisfied, which makes a cell movement be inefficient. Park and Park introduced a balancing coefficient R by which the block size balance is considered as a part of partitioning cost, not as a constraint. However, Park and Park's algorithm has a square time complexity with respect to the number of cells. In this paper, we proposed Bucket algorithm that has a linear time complexity with respect to the number of cells, while taking advantage of the balancing coefficient. Reducing time complexity is made possible by a simple observation that balancing cost does not vary so much when a cell moves. Bucket data structure is used to maintain partitioning cost efficiently. Experimental results for MCNC test sets show that cutset size of proposed algorithm is 63.33% 92.38% of that of Sanchis algorithm while our algorithm satisfies predefined balancing constraints and acceptable execution time.

  • The concrete is usually used to build a radiation therapy facility and the enough concrete thickness for high energy x-ray beam is about 1 meter. But if the space is not enough to build a radiation therapy facility with concrete, the substitute for concrete is needed, and the Ledite can be a good substitute for concrete. In this study, we compared the Ledite with the concrete. The comparing list are the needed shielding thickness, the period of construction and the cost.
