Analysis of Spatial Crime Pattern and Place Occurrence Characteristics for Building a Safe City (안전도시 조성을 위한 범죄의 공간적 분포와 도시의 장소별 발생특성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility of crime prevention in consideration of urban physical environment by analyzing the spatial distribution characteristics and pattern using actual crime occurrence data of the case city. The crime data was rebuilt by transforming them into geographic information system to analyze the spatial aspect of crime occurrence. The findings are as follows: a change from 2008 to 2011 is indicated with similar trend. But the local movements of crime hot spots are found. Moreover crimes were happening along the roads in linear pattern rather than inside of blocks in commercial area. This indicates the importance of environmental improvement of roads and open spaces. In addition it was found that the crime occurrence in a dangerous district can be reduced and prevented through the physical environment design and urban planning. The findings will contribute to promoting fundamental crime prevention as the physical environmental improvement in a city and to building a safe community as its result.

Efficient Exploration of On-chip Bus Architectures and Memory Allocation (온 칩 버스 구조와 메모리 할당에 대한 효율적인 설계 공간 탐색)

  • Separation between computation and communication in system design allows the system designer to explore the communication architecture independently of component selection and mapping. In this paper we present an iterative two-step exploration methodology for bus-based on-chip communication architecture and memory allocation, assuming that memory traces from the processing elements are given from the mapping stage. The proposed method uses a static performance estimation technique to reduce the large design space drastically and quickly, and applies a trace-driven simulation technique to the reduced set of design candidates for accurate Performance estimation. Since local memory traffics as well as shared memory traffics are involved in bus contention, memory allocation is considered as an important axis of the design space in our technique. The viability and efficiency of the proposed methodology arc validated by two real -life examples, 4-channel digital video recorder (DVR) and an equalizer for OFDM DVB-T receiver.

  • 지하에 설 치된 맨홀의 구조물이 노후되거나, 내부에 수 용된 시설물로 작업 공간이 협소하여 맨홀 구조물을 대개체 할 펼요가 있을 경우, 지금까지는 대부분 현장 콘크리트 타설에 의한 방법을 사용하였다. 이러한 방법은 거푸집 시공, 콘크리트 타설, 콘크리트 양생, 거푸집 철거 등의 공정이 소요되어 공사 기간이 장기화 되고, 도심지에 위치한 맨홀인 경우에는 차량과 보행자의 통행 불편을 초래하기도 하였다. 또한, 통상적으로 사용되고 있는 프리캐스트 맨홀에 비해 시공 품질이 낮아 향후 맨홀의 운용 및 유지관리에 많은 어려움을 겪는 원인이 되기도 하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해, 폴리머 콘크리트를 이용하여 하부, 벽체, 상부로 구성된 다수의 세그먼트를 생산한 후, 현장에서 이들 세그먼트를 조립하여 맨홀을 설치하는 방법을 연구하였다. 가변형 거푸집을 이용한 세그먼트 제작과 조립식 블록에 의한 관구를 사용하여 현장 적용성을 높임은 물론, 프리캐스트로 생산되는 폴리머 콘크리트 맨홀 수준의 시공 품질을 확보할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • Along with series of concrete block experiments, a demolition experiment was conducted for a scaled concrete box girder bridge to investigate collapse and blast behavior. Tri nitro toluene (TNT), the standard explosive for strength was adopted as concussion charge. The result show that demolition was caused by not only direct detonation pressures at charging spots but also blast pressures at inner wall of concrete box girder.

  • 이 논문에서는 향상된 움직임 적응적 디인터레이싱 알고리듬을 제안한다. 정확한 움직임 정보탐색을 위하여 Modified Edgd-based Line Average(MELA)기법, 연속된 5개의 필드에서의 움직임 탐색, 블록기반의 지역적 특성을 포함한다. 움직임 검출부분에서는 FIR필터를 이용한다. 이것은 물체의 움직임의 내부를 정확하게 탐색 할 뿐만 아니라, 영상에 포함된 잡음도 줄일수 있는 향상된 기법을 이용함으로서 계산 할 수 있다. 검출된 움직임의 정도에 따라서 가중치를 구하여 공간적 기법과 시간적 기법을 결합 시킨다. 제안된 방법의 영상 시퀀스에 대한 실험 결과는 기존의 방법들에 비하여 주관적, 객관적인 비교에서 우수함을 보여준다.

  • 본 연구에서는 무인운영이 예정되어 있는 경량철도 지하역사 화재 시 안전대책을 강구하기 위하여 다양한 시나리오의 화재상황을 모사하여 FDS 사용코드를 이용해 화재유동현상을 분석하였다. 해석경계조건은 전동차 내부공간을 포함한 지하 3개 층과 설계에 반영된 환기설비를 적용하였으며, 약 500만 개의 격자를 34개 블록으로 나누어 계산하였다. 비상탈출 동선을 파악하여 주요 위치에서 피난경로상의 각 층 바닥으로 부터 1 m 높이의 한계온도와 연기층의 도달시간을 시나리오 별로 분석하여 보았다.

  • e-navigation은 선박의 항구 출발부터 목적 항의 부두 접안에 이른 전 과정의 안전과 보안을 위한 관련 서비스 및 해양환경 보호 증진을 위해 전자적인 수단으로 선박과 육상 관련 정보의 조화로운 수집, 통합, 교환, 표현 및 분석을 수행하는 개념적 체계이다. e-navigation 구현에 필요한 음성 및 데이터 통신 채널의 확보방안 중 하나로 기존 해상 통신의 현대화 및 다중모드 운영 체제의 필요성이 국제해사기구(IMO) 등에서 강력히 요구되고 있다. SDR은 소프트웨어로 구성된 블록들 내부의 동작 파라미터를 변경함으로써 하나의 플랫폼 상에서 다양한 형태의 통신을 가능하게 하므로, 기존 해상 통신의 현대화 및 다중모드 운영에 유용하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다중모드 운용을 위한 기존의 해상무선통신 시스템을 이해하고, SDR 적용 방안을 제안함으로써 단일 기기를 통한 공간적 연속성을 갖는 통신망 구축을 이루고자 한다.

  • In shipyards, internal materials are assembled after designing and manufacturing each ship's block. Internal material assembly means the installation of parts and equipment except ship's body. In this process, if the assembly of pipes and equipment existing in the block is not done correctly during the assembly between blocks, this causes a lot of costs. In addition, even if the assembly of the internal materials already completed, the production efficiency of the ship is reduced due to rework when problems such as space arrangement of the internal materials occurs. Therefore, this study introduces space arrangement and inspection system before and after hull outfitting work based on coexistence reality technology using 3D design drawing to solve these problems. The various coexistence reality algorithms and inspection systems developed and introduced in this study are based on AR service, which has never been introduced in Korea. So it will be widely applicable to various manufacturing industries using design drawings such as automobiles and architectures as well as ship building process.

A Study of the Applicability of Cross-Section Method for Cut-Slope Stability Analysis (개착사면의 안정성 해석을 위한 횡단면 기법의 활용성 고찰)

  • Stability of cut-slope, the orientation and dimension of which are gradually changed, has been analyzed by employing the cross-section method capable of comprehensibly considering the lithological, structural and mechanical characteristics of slope rock. Lithological fragility is investigated by inspecting the drilled core logs and BIPS image has been taken to delineate the rock structure. Engineering properties of drilled-core including the joint shear strength have been also measured. Potential failure modes of cut-slope and failure-induced joints are identified by performing the stereographic projection analysis. Traces of potential failure-induced joints are drawn on the cross-section which depicts the excavated geometry of cut-slope. Considering the distribution of potential plane failure-induced joint traces blocks of plane failure mode are hypothetically formed. The stabilities and required reinforcements of plane failure blocks located at the different excavation depth have been calculated to confirm the applicability of the cross-section method for the optimum cut-slope design.

Identification of Dominant Cause of Cut-Slope Collapse and Monitoring of Reinforced Slope Behavior (개착사면의 붕락요인 분석 및 보강거동 계측)

  • Failure aspects of cut-slope, which induce the sequential collapses during the excavation stage, have been analyzed. Slope rock structures are investigated by examining the orientations and positions of discontinuity planes calculated based on the BIPS image inside the boreholes. Drilled core log has been also used to identify the structural defects. Clay minerals of swelling potentials are detected through XRD analysis. Numerical analysis for slope stability has been performed by utilizing the joint shear strength acquired from the direct joint shear test. Cut-slope collapse characteristics have been studied by investigating the posture of failure-prawn joint planes and the stability of tetrahedral blocks of different sizes. Cross-section analysis has been also performed to analyze the cut-slope behavior and to estimate the amount of reinforcement required to secure the stability of cut-slope. Behavior of reinforced cut-slope is also investigated by analyzing the slope monitoring data.
