The Effect of Brand Equity on Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty - Centered on Busan Area - (브랜드 에쿼티가 만족도 및 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향 - 부산 지역을 중심으로 -)

  • This research aimed to analyze the effects of brand equity has on satisfaction and brand loyalty of food service consumers in restaurants. For the empirical analysis, we used the self-administered method, using 250 copies of questionnaire in total. 235 copies(94%) was collected and we used the 223 copies(89%) for the analysis. For data processing, we used the statistical package program of SPSS WIN Version 12.0, conducting a frequency analysis, a reliability analysis and a factor analysis, and verifying hypotheses through a regression analysis. As the result of the research, for the hypothesis that "Brand equity(brand recognition, brand image, perceived quality, brand attitude) will have a significant effect on satisfaction," it showed that brand recognition, brand image and perceived quality have a significant effect on satisfaction, and for the hypothesis that "Satisfaction will have a significant effect on brand loyalty," it showed that satisfaction has a significant effect on brand loyalty. For the hypothesis that "Brand equity (brand recognition, brand image, perceived quality, brand attitude) will have a significant effect on brand loyalty," it showed that brand recognition, perceived quality and brand attitude have a significant effect on brand loyalty. To build a competitive brand of the food service industry on the basis of the results of this research, they will concentrate their energy on outlining strategies which can remind customers of their brands by managing their brands systematically and on strengthening their brand equity effectively.

  • To prove the effectiveness of global brand strategy, this paper tries to analyze the effects of brand globalness on brand attitude and behaviors. In addition, the moderating effect of consumers' cultural intelligence is assessed in the influence of brand globalness on brand attitude and behaviors. Based on the analysis of two hundred seven consumers, it is founded that the brand globalness has a strong influence on brand credibility and benevolence which exerts brand royalty as expected. In this process, however, the moderating effect of consumers' cultural intelligence is shown to be statistically ineffective. This implies that the global brand strategy is useful regardless of individual consumers' cultural intelligence.

  • Brands are important in the consumer market. They are the interface between consumers and the company. And consumers may develop loyalty to brands. Also, the late development of industrial marketing explains the near absence of research on brand equity in business to business. With recent change, Industrial companies have shifted from a production focus to a customer focus. Industrial brand is fast developing. The basic purpose of this study is to investigate industrial brand trust and loyalty affecting the result of business relationship between industrial buyers and suppliers. Factors hypothesized to influence trust in a brand include a number of brand characteristics, company characteristics and consumer-brand characteristics. This research presented a comprehensive constructive model consisting of components of industrial brand trust and loyalty, and then propose the research model base on prior researches and studies about relationships among components of industrial brand loyalty Data were gathered from respondents who work in industrial buying center. For this study, Data were analyzed by AMOS 4.0. The results of this research analysis were as fallow. Industrial brand trust and loyalty were positively related with a number of industrial brand characteristics, supplier characteristics and buyer-brand characteristics, relationship commitment. This research newly proposed the concept of industrial brand trust and loyalty affecting the result of business relationship between industrial buyers and suppliers.

Effect of Consumer-Brand Relationship Quality on Brand Loyalty in Family Restaurants (패밀리 레스토랑의 소비자-브랜드 관계의 질이 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향 : 마산지역 대학생을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the consumer-brand relationship quality on the brand loyalty in family restaurants. Questionnaires were distributed to 320 students in K University located in Masan, who were sampled by convenience-sampling method. The surveys were conducted from November, 10 to 24, 2005. Of the 287 returned questionnaires, 15 unusable questionnaires were excluded to leave 272 for use in the final analysis(response rate: 85.0%). For the statistical analysis, SPSS(12.0)was used to conduct the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed that 2 constructs (satisfaction and intimacy) of consumer-brand relationship quality have significantly positive effects on the brand loyalty in family restaurants(p<.01). This indicates that as consumer-brand relationship quality strengthens, the customer's brand loyalty increases. In conclusion, food service managers in family restaurants should focus on the marketing strategies to strengthen the quality of consumer-brand relationship in order to increase the brand loyalty of customers.

The Effect of Brand Personalized Marketing on Advertising Avoidance and Brand Loyalty of the MZ Generation (브랜드의 개인화된 마케팅이 MZ세대의 광고 회피와 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted from May 10th to 30th, 2023 to confirm the relationship between advertisement irritation, privacy concerns, personalized marketing, and social influence of brand customized advertisements on advertisement avoidance and brand loyalty targeting the MZ generation. The following results were verified using the SPSS 28.0 and Smart PLS 4.0 programs for a valid survey of 400 people targeting the MZ generation nationwide on a daily basis. First, advertisement irritation had a positive (+) effect on advertisement avoidance but had no effect on brand loyalty, and personalized marketing had a positive (+) effect on advertisement avoidance but had no effect on brand loyalty. Second, concerns about personal information had a positive (+) effect on avoidance of advertisements and brand loyalty. Third, social influence had a positive (+) effect on advertisement avoidance and brand loyalty. Fourth, advertisement avoidance played a significant mediating role between advertisement irritation and brand avoidance, but did not play a significant mediating role between personalized marketing and social influence. Based on these results, this study is meaningful in that it can be used as basic data for research on advertising avoidance and brand loyalty and for establishing strategies necessary for brand marketing activities.

The Effectiveness of Image and Attitude on Extension Brand Loyalty in the Foodservice Industry (확장된 외식브랜드이미지와 브랜드태도가 브랜드충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In the severely competitive market, brand extension strategy has become a key strategy to the companies that are trying to expand in the new market and to cut down the marketing cost. In conclusion, following results are deduced. First, hypothesis 1(H-1) refers to the relationship between image of extension brand and attitude of extension brand, and it shows path-coefficients value of 0.43, and t-value of 4.21 which supports the hypothesis statistically. Second, H-2 is the result of the analysis of relationship between attitude of extension brand and loyalty of extension brand and consequently the hypothesis is supported by the path-coefficients value of 0.29 and t-value of 3.08. The results of this study provided very useful information for both foodservice industry and academics. At first, in the theocratical point of view, this study suggests a new concept the foodservice brand extension. Consequently in marketing point of view, the results of this study recommend several strategies of foodservice brand extension using foodservice image, attitude and loyalty.

  • As recently increased penetration of smart phones, branded applications(the brand app) via mobile are growing rapidly. Since these brand apps are being used as means of corporate marketing and sales, many consumers have been using them. However, there are few studies about brand apps. And it is also necessary to study about continuous use of brand apps because they are easy and free to download and remove. In this study, we analyzed how a variety of brand experience have impact on the brand apps' continuous use. As a result of this study, sensory, affective, behavioral, and intellectual experience as a brand experience affected brand commitment positively, and then the brand commitment had a positive impact on the degree of brand loyalty and continuous use intention. Eventually the more brand loyalty, the more continuous use intention of brand apps. That is, consumers' experience about a variety of brand apps makes customers' brand commitment and loyalty increase and keep customers using the brand apps consistently. Therefore, if companies let the customers have various experience through brand apps, they will have good marketing performance.

Effect of Social Platform Influencer Characteristics on Attachment and Brand Loyalty (소셜 플랫폼 인플루언서 특성이 애착과 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The rapidly evolving social platform marketing landscape has led businesses to increasingly rely on social platform influencers for brand and service promotion. Despite growing interest in these influencers, there remains a dearth of empirical research examining the impact of their characteristics on consumer attachment and brand loyalty. This study, therefore, investigates the relationships between social platform influencer characteristics, consumer attachment, and brand loyalty. An online survey targeting Chinese consumers was conducted, and a total of 360 responses were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software. The findings reveal that among the various social platform influencer characteristics, reliability, professionalism, and intimacy significantly influence consumer attachment. Furthermore, it was confirmed that higher attachment to a social platform influencer leads to increased brand loyalty.

  • The living standards of Chinese people are gradually rising, which has led more Chinese students to come to Korea for their academic career. In this respect, it seems significant to find out how clothing involvement affects brand attachment and brand loyalty of Chinese college students in Busan. In this study, we attempt to identify factors of clothing involvement that influence Chinese students' turn of mind towards brand attachment and brand loyalty. The results of our analysis are as follows: 1. Five factors of clothing involvement have been derived: fashion trend, favorable impression, planning, indifference and choice. For brand attachment, three factors of brand show-off, brand gravity and brand pride have been derived. 2. Factors of clothing involvement have positive effects on factors of brand attachment, and brand attachment also have significant effects on brand loyalty. 3. Clothing involvement significantly affects brand loyalty indirectly via brand attachment.

Research on Brand Identification in the Airline Industry (항공 산업에서의 브랜드 동일시 연구)

  • This study set the research model to analyze the effect of customer value on brand identification and loyalty using customers of K Airline. Based on previous researches, this study extracted variables, and built a structural equation model to examine the relationship among variables. The findings of empirical research are as follows. First, it was found that functional value and emotional value of customer value have significant effect on brand identification. Thus, hypothesis 1 was accepted. Second, customers seek emotional aspect in choosing a product or a service. That is, by using an airline brand which they think is identical with their image, value, or lifestyle, they pursue brand identification with the airline. Third, given that functional value and emotional value of customer value do not affect brand loyalty, we can know that customer value strengthens brand loyalty through brand identification. To boost brand loyalty, K Airline needs to pay attention to raise brand identification of customers with consideration of other mediating variables.
