Region Decision Using Modified ICM Method (변형된 ICM 방식에 의한 영역판별)

  • In this paper, a new version of the ICM method(MICM, modified ICM) in which the contextual information is modelled by Markov random fields (MRF) is introduced. To extract the feature, a new local MRF model with a fitting block neighbourhood is proposed. This model selects contextual information not only from the relative intensity levels but also from the geometrically directional position of neighbouring cliques. Feature extraction depends on each block's contribution to the local variance. They discriminates it into several regions, for example context and background. Boundaries between these regions are also distinctive. The proposed algerian performs segmentation using directional block fitting procedure which confines merging to spatially adjacent elements and generates a partition such that pixels in unified cluster have a homogeneous intensity level. From experiment with ink rubbed copy images(Takbon, 拓本), this method is determined to be quite effective for feature identification. In particular, the new algorithm preserves the details of the images well without over- and under-smoothing problem occurring in general iterated conditional modes (ICM). And also, it may be noted that this method is applicable to the handwriting recognition.

Discriminant Factors Influencing Utilization of Genetic Resources (유전자은행의 운영성과 제고를 위한 유전자원이용촉진 판별요인의 탐색)

  • The study examines the question of what discriminant factors may affect differences between two groups classified by researchers' satisfaction with and continuous use intention of genetic resources(microorganisms). Survey data from researchers who are using microorganisms from a gene bank was used to empirically test. The survey, covering 150 researchers, was conducted from March 26 through April 17 2015. Linear discriminant analysis was used to test the research questions described in the study. Results from the tests show that utilization value and suitability of genetic resources for researchers' R&D activities play key roles in discriminating between the two groups classified by researchers' satisfaction with and continuous use intention of genetic resources, relatively lower and higher groups. The results indicate that useful trait information of and degree in promotion of researches by genetic resources appear to be weak in discriminating between the two groups, and that novelty of genetic resources does not play a crucial role in making a distinction between the two groups. We propose some policy implications based on the results of the study.

Estimation on Economic Value for Cultivated Wild Ginseng using Choice Experiment (선택실험법을 이용한 산양삼의 경제적 가치평가)

  • The study was conducted to set up the criteria of judgement that could be utilized for cultivated wild ginseng, easy and well-defined for consumers to understand. For the purpose, the study examined consumers' perception and valuation on each attribute of cultivated wild ginseng that was related to the product quality through a choice experiment. Attributes used in the experiment were based on exterior characteristics of cultivated wild ginseng including ages, planting methods, external dimension, length of fibrous roots, and hue and color. Residents in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were interviewed and a total of 173 questionnaires were acquired for the analysis. According to the result, respondents valued the highest score on ginseng grown by direct sowing, while they valued rather lower scores on ginseng's external dimension. In general, the hypothetical model was shown to exist within the stable range.

A study on Relationship among Organizational Fairness, Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Intention to stay of Nurses (간호사의 동기부여, 조직공정성, 직무만족, 재직의도와의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose and test a path that explains and predicts Korean nurses' intention to stay. A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 217 nurses and six instruments were used in the model. The data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 and Amos 18.0 program. Based on the theoretical model, a significant correlation between all factors and the hygiene factor and motivation factor had a significant direct effect on the job satisfaction of nurses. In addition, factors such as job satisfaction, and distributive fairness directly affected the intention to stay and indirectly affected the hygiene factor and motivation factor. The final modified model yielded ${\chi}^2=2.681$, p=.433), GFI= .98, RMSEA=.001, NFI=.99, CFI=.99, GFI=.97 and good fit indices. This comprehensive model explains the related factors and their relationship with Korean nurses' intention to stay. Findings from this study can be used to design appropriate strategies to further increase Korean nurses' job satisfaction and intention to stay.

A Study on Coding Scheme for Street Trees Management Information System (가로수관리정보체계를 위한 코드부여방법에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the most effective method of the coding methods by linking the attribute information with the digital map in Taegu metropolitan city. This study was also a precedent plan for street trees management information system and the coding schemes for street trees management information system could be summarized as follows; First, this study extracted 11 coding factors for expressing the position of street trees. Second, 11 coding schemes were made out of these coding factors and applied to the digital map(1:500). Third, two methods of 11 coding schemes were selected for street trees management information system of Taegu metropolitan city. The one was the method which applied serial numbers according to the block name. The other was the method utilizing the concept of 'dynamic segment'. Finally, this study will be the first step for the computerization and management of the street trees information and this computerized data will do for the management efficiency of the street trees on internet.

  • The recent reform of child care policy is to give priority to double-income households in the use of childcare facilities. This study analyzed the effect of the use of childcare facilities on the employment of married women under the on-going reform. Using the data from the 19th and 21st wave of the Korean Labor and Income Study, the marginal treatment effect (MTE) analysis method was used to eliminate the selection bias in which the sub-population targeted for policy is determined according to the priority when childcare demand exceeds supply. The study finds that the employment effect of married women who use childcare facilities does not differ statistically from the employment effect of married women who do not use childcare facilities.

  • Change in outdoor life style caused by expanded opportunities of leisure time and promotion of welfare for the people had a great influence m the activation of the environment maintenance project. Pleasant and prosperous city environment confers independent cultural value that reflects character of the regions on the city. In addition, an attempt to make the environment of the city tour resources has been accepted, through which each local government established a city plan to promote the project. To make outdoor life safe, healthful, pleasant and effective for the people the design should give cultural character to the space of utility and be appropriate for the life style of the region. However, more organized studies on the design and its development examples are require. This study summarizes examples of the developed design by selecting eight types of outdoor furniture necessary for the Gwangju No.1 Subway Line that is to be open at the late 2003.

  • Digital Content Marketplace based on Interactive Media is defmed as the marketplace for content service between contents supplier and consumer through iDTV environment. This Marketplace is increasing interest to u-Life service with Digital Environment. To Interactive Media, it can contribute to enhance its effectiveness by developing various contents and service model in the initial phase of broadcasting-communication convergence. This study designed metadata using Digital Content marketplace based on Interactive Media. Specially the matadata designing include recommendation-tag for supply supplementary content. It can support self-directed action. Through basic metadata with weight value, it is designed to support supplementary content customer to want on the marketplace. Recommendation-System can be built by many method and to recommend the service content including explicit properties using collaborative filtering method can solve limitations in existing content recommendation.

A Study on Factors Affecting Retractation of Turnover Intention of Customer Center Counselor (고객센터 상담원의 이직의도 철회에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • In this study, an interview survey was conducted for three months by a counselor who had experience of retractation of turnover intention to find out what factors played an important role in retractation of turnover intention. The results found that task shift, motivation, self-efficacy, and emotion control were the major factors in the retractation of counselor's turnover intention, while superior support and colleague support did nop affect. Among them, emotion control and task shift had more influence on retractation of turnover intention than other factors. The results of this study are expected to maximize the stabilization of the organization by lowering the turnover rate of counselor in the customer center department becoming more important in the enterprise and to provide an important theoretical basis for studies related to retractation of customer center counselor's turnover intention.

Classification of Traffic Classes for Application Services in Military Communication Networks (군 통신망 응용서비스를 위한 트래픽 클래스 분류 방법)

  • Traffic classification for application services in military communication networks is one of the core requirements to provide efficient resource management for NCW operations. Though several standards and organizations provided their own traffic classification methods, the methods have been mainly focused on commercial services, but not reflected military specifics. In addition, though various military application services have been emerged, some of those services have been classified into different traffic classes due to implicit criteria for the classification among organizations. In this paper, we propose a methodology to classify traffic classes and to determine delivery requirements for military application services based on various standards by DoD as well as several commercial standards based on Y.1541. The validation of the proposed methodology was carried out by comparing the results by proposed one with the traffic classification suggestions by existing commercial standards, DoD and FCS. We expect that the proposed methodology can contribute to achieve efficient operations of limited military network resources, since the proposed method can provide systematic and consistent way to assign traffic classes for new and existing military applications services.
