This study tries to examine the effect of parents' neglect on adolescents' sexual-materials addiction, and prove the mediating effect of self-identity between the two variables in the times of convergence. For the study, the data(n=2,157) from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey were analyzed by utilizing the path analysis. The results are as follows: First, parents' neglect influenced negatively adolescents' self-identity. Second, parents' neglect had a positive effect on adolescents' sexual-materials addiction. Third, parents' neglect directly influenced adolescents' sexual-materials addiction and its' effect was indirectly mediated by the subject's self-identity.

This study explored the longitudinal relationships between school life adjustment and the parents' neglect/abuse as perceived by children according to gender. The participants were 5th and 6th grade children and the instruments were parents' neglect/abuse scale and school life adjustment scale. Using Korea Youth Panel data of Child Youth Policy Institute of Korea, 5th and 6th grade data were analyzed. The results were as follows: Neglect/abuse as perceived by children were different according to their gender and grade. Children who had perceived more parents' neglect/abuse were more likely to have difficulty in school life adjustment. The results of this study suggest that the appropriate interventions for the parents' neglect and abuse is needed by showing the stability of the child's perception of the parents' neglect and abuse during the 5th-6th grade.

This study tries to examine the effect of parents' neglect on career identity, and prove the meditating effect of experience satisfaction and school adjustment between the two variables in the times of convergence. For the study, the data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey was analyzed by utilizing the path analysis, and the number of subjects was 391 adolescents. The results are as follows: First, parents' neglect influenced negatively career identity. Second, experience satisfaction and school adjustment had a positive effect on experience satisfaction. Third, parents' neglect directly influenced career identity and its' effect was indirectly mediated by the subjects's experience satisfaction and school adjustment. Therefore, the result of the study can be utilized for theoretical implication and foundation for developing programs to increase career identity.

This study was examined to confirm the mediating effect of ego resilience on the relation between parental neglect and abuse and school life adjustment in adolescents. For this research, this study used the 4th-year data from the Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS)' 4th grader in elementary school and analyzed 2,092 1st grade of middle school students. Data was analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, Pearson coefficient correlation and hierarchical analysis. To examine the mediating effect, the study used sobel test. The findings ]were as follows. First, parental neglect and abuse negatively effected adolescents' school life adjustment. Second, adolescents' ego resilience has a partial mediating effect on the relation between parental neglect and adolescents' school life adjustment. Third, adolescents' ego resilience has a partial mediating effect on the relation between parental abuse and adolescents' school life adjustment. These results suggest that home, school, and local community need to make an effort to improve ego resilience of adolescents, who are suffering from parental neglect and abuse, for school life adjustment.

This study aimed to analyze the effects of child abuse and neglect on male·female high school students and the moderating roles of peer attachment and closeness to teachers in the process. By using the second to the seventh yearsʼ data of 4^th grade elementary school student panel participating in the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS), the study calculated descriptive statistics and performed hierarchical regressions. The main results of this study were as follows. First, for male high school students, as each level of child abuse, peer attachment, and closeness to teachers was higher, the level of ego-resilience was higher. However, as the level of child neglect was higher, the level of ego-resilience was lower. For female high school students, as the level of child neglect was higher, the level of ego-resilience was lower, while each level of peer attachment and closeness to teachers was higher, the level of ego-resilience was higher. In addition, for only male high school students, peer attachment moderated the effect of child abuse on ego-resilience. On the other hands, for both male and female high school students, as the level of child abuse and neglect were higher, the level of self-esteem was lower, while each level of peer attachment and closeness to teachers was higher, the level of self-esteem was higher. Moreover, for only female high school students, peer attachment moderated the effects of child abuse and neglect on self-esteem.

The aim of this study is to verify whether mediated effect on classmates and teachers occurs while child abuse and neglect have an effect on community sense. For the purpose of this study, among the Korean Children and Youth Panel, data of freshmen from elementary school are gathered through a follow-up survey for 7 years(2010-2017) and data of about 2,001 children are investigated. Also, The research issue -'will there be mediated effect in the relationship between child abuse and neglect and community sense'- is verified by the structural method and presented as follows. First, child abuse and neglect have no significant effect on community sense directly. Second, child abuse and neglect(β=-.663) are found to have a negative influence meaningfully on relationship with classmates and teachers. Third, relationships with classmates and teachers(β=.664) are shown to have a significant positive effect on community sense. Fourth, When child abuse and neglect have an influence on community sense, mediated effect on classmates and teachers(β=-.440) has a meaningful negative effect, Based on these findings, the recommendations for implementing youth welfare are described.

This study tries to investigate the influence of parents' neglect on adolescents' school adjustment, and to prove the mediating effects of self-identity and life satisfaction on the relationship between two variables. Data from 5th year(2014) Korean Children and Youth Panel Study(KCYPS) on 2035 nation-wide second year middle school students was analyzed by utilizing Regression analysis and path analysis. Results of the analysis showed first, parents' neglect had a negative effect on adolescents' self-identity, life satisfaction, and school adjustment. Second, adolescents' school adjustment improved with their self-identity and life satisfaction included as mediating effects. Third, the effect of parents' neglect on adolescents' school adjustment was partly mediated by the effects of subject's self-identity and life satisfaction. Furthermore, the need for program development to enhance adolescents' self-identity, life satisfaction and school adjustment was suggested.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of parental abuse and neglect on adolescents' internet addiction, and to verify the mediating effect of subjective happiness in the relationship between parental abuse and neglects and adolescent internet addiction. To this end, dat from the 16th year of the 2021 Korea Welfare Panel(KWPS) conducted by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs were used. In this study, 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders of high school were analyzed, and data from a total of 325 students were analyzed. The analysis utilized SPSS 27.0 and Hayes(2013)'s Macro Process(model 4) to verity correlation analysis and mediating effects between related variables. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, abuse and neglect from parents directly affect adolescents' Internet addiction. Second, it was analyzed that subjective happiness mediated the effect of parental abuse and neglect on adolescents' Internet addiction.

This study was to verify the mediated moderation effects of parental neglect on the process where school teacher violence affected depression and suicidal ideation of adolescents. Data of 6,291 middle and high school students from 'research on the actual state of human rights of Korean children and adolescents IV' conducted by National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed. The analyses were carried out with SPSS 18.0 and Process Macro 4.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, regression analysis, and bootstrapping. The results showed that 1. school teacher violence and depression significantly influenced suicidal ideation of adolescents, 2. depression showed mediating effects on the process where school teacher violence influenced suicidal ideation, 3. parental neglect showed mediated moderation effects on the process where school teacher violence influenced suicidal ideation through depression. The study also suggested the necessity to complement the education and counseling program and the relevant policy for parents and teachers who could affect suicidal ideation of adolescents.

This study examined the effects of parental neglect/abuse perceived by child and community awareness of child on school life adjustment according to child gender. The participants were 2,219 sixth grade students(1,167 boys, 1,052 girls) in the third Korea Youth Panel Survey. The results of this study were as follows; First, boys perceived parental abuse more than girls and boys perceived community more positively than girls. Boys perceived more difficulty than girls in peer relationship adjustment. Second, parents' neglect and abuse perceived by boys showed negative correlation with school life adjustment and community awareness of boys showed positive correlation with school life adjustment. On the other hand, parents' neglect and abuse perceived by girls showed negative correlation with school life adjustment and community awareness of girls showed positive correlation with school life adjustment. Third, the less perceived parental neglect/abuse and the better perceived community, the better the boys and girls could have school life adjustment. The results of this study offers a fundamental data about the parental neglect/abuse and the community awareness which can improve the school life adaptation of a sixth grade students who are moving from a primary school to a middle school.
