A Study on Design of Band Pass Filter using Ring Resonators (링 공진기를 사용한 대역통과 필터의 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this work, in order to realize a band pass filter with wide-band characteristics for mobile communications, 2 GHz band pass filter was designed using ring resonator with stub. The three stage wide-band BPF was designed and fabricated. For broadband design, the ring circumference was divided by 4 sections with 1/8 wavelength and 2 sections with 1/4 wavelength which have different line impedances. The characteristics of the proposed BPF were highly improved by using three stage ring resonator. The characteristic impedance values of each sections were obtained by Powell's least square algorithm where differentiations are not needed. The measured results showed a good agreement with the theoretical results as well as ADS simulation.

Efficient DFDC Filter Design Using Interpolated Fourth-Order Polynomials (IFOP를 사용한 효과적인 DFDC 필터 설계)

  • In this paper, a new filter structure to improve frequency response characteristics in CIC(Cascaded Integrator-Comb) decimation filters is proposed. Conventional filters improve passband characteristics, but they make worse aliasing band characteristics. In this paper, we propose a new filter which is called IFOP(Interpolated Fourth-Order Polynomials). By using this proposed filter, passband droop and aliasing band attenuation are simultaneously improved. Since proposed filter needs only one multiplication, computation is not much. And overall linear phase characteristics are maintained since the proposed filter is also linear phase. Finally, implementation cost of the proposed filter is compared with those of conventional filters.

  • In this paper, a new filter structure to improve frequency response characteristics in decimation filter using CIC(Cascaded Integrator-Comb) filters and half band filters is proposed. Conventional filters improve only passband characteristics, but we propose a new filter which can improve stop band and pass band characteristics simultaneously. Since proposed filter needs only two multiplication, additional implementation cost is not much. And overall linear phase characteristics are maintained since the proposed filter is also linear phase. Finally, filter coefficients quantization effects ate discussed after Verilog-HDL coding.

  • 본 논문에서는 의료기기 구현시 생체신호처리 과정에서 부가되는 전력선 잡음을 제거하기 위한 필터를 구현한다. 요즘 구현된 필터는 저주파 생체신호의 왜곡을 최소화하며, 전원 주파수의 고조파 성분만을 제거하는 특성을 가지며, 실시간 처리를 위하여 연산량을 최소화하도록 하였다.

Application of Adaptive Loop Filter for NRT-Based Stereoscopic Video Coding (비실시간 기반 스테레오스코픽 비디오 부호화를 위한 적응루프필터 적용기법)

  • A stereoscopic 3D video service is able to provide a 3D video service while keeping backward compatibility with the existing 2D video service. In the terrestrial digital television (DTV) system, a stereoscopic video codec is required to have high coding efficiency in order to provide a 3D video service in the same channel capacity. A hybrid codec consisting of MPEG-2 for base video and H.264/AVC or HEVC for 3D auxiliary video is considered. Furthermore, Non-Real-Time (NRT) delivery of stereoscopic video is also considered as a service scenario for 3DTV services to overcome the limited bandwidth. In this paper, we propose a stereoscopic video coding scheme using adaptive loop filter (ALF) which had been considered in HEVC as a pre-/post-filter for enhancing coding efficiency in NRT-based 3DTV services. In order to apply ALF as a post-filter to the reconstructed additional view coded by H.264/AVC, we devise a method in which ALF is adaptively applied based on a structure determined by using macroblock (MB) coding information such as MB mode type and reference index instead of coding unit (CU) structure on which ALF is applied in the HEVC. Experimental results shows that the proposed stereoscopic video coding scheme applying ALF obtains up to 24.9% gain of bit saving.

Speech analysis using the Robust Time-Weighted Kalman filtering (시간가중치의 로버스트 칼만필터를 이용한 음성분석)

  • 시벼형 신호인 음성 신호의 분석에 칼만필터를 이용하였다. 일반적인 음성 분석은 프레임단위의 처리방법인 선형 예측 부호화 기법을 주로 이용하지만 음성의 시변 특성을 파악하는데에는 적절하지 못 하다. 따라서 순차적인 추정기법으로 많이 이용되는 칼만 필터를 음성 분석에 적용하였다. 또한 음성과 같은 시변신호에서는 과거 신호의 잡음의 분산값에 적당한 가중치를 부가하므로써 과거의 신호에 의해 서 현재의 추정값에 미치는 영향을 줄였으며 이를 음성의 천이 구간에서의 파라메타 추정에 사용하였 다. 그리고 음성신호 모델에서 생기는 모델링 오차는 일반적으로 백색 가우시안 잡음으로 가정하고 있 으나 이는 자음과 같은 무성음에서 특징 파라메타 푸정에는 오차가 적지만 모음등의 유성음에서는 음성 발생시의 여기신호인 펄스열에 의해서 많은 모델링 오차를 생기게 한다. 따라서 모델링 오차신호는 Non-Gaussian 확률분포로 가정한 후 로버스트 칼만 필터를 사용하여 합성으멩 대해 특징 파라메터를 추출하였다.

  • 웨이블릿 디노이징 기법은 웨이블릿 계수들의 thresholding 에 의해 부가적인 가우시안 노이즈들을 제가하는데 사용된다. 필터에 기반한 다른 많은 변환들처럼, 웨이블릿 scaling 방법들은 이미지의 경계선들의 근처에 블러링 현상이나 인공적인 잡음들이 나타나게 된다. 본 논문에서 구현하고자 하는 웨이블릿 변환 필터의 구현 배경은 경계선 부분의 손실없이 이미지의 노이즈 제거를 위한 것이다. 많은 이미지 향상과 회복기법들은 이러한 붕괴처리의 효과들을 위한 보상으로 개발되었다. 또한 뉴럴 필터, 퍼지 필터, LMS L-filter, quadratic filter, sigma filter 등은 이러한 이미지의 질을 개선하기 위한 수학적인 도구들이라고 할 수 있다.   • Nonlinear filters which are utilized rank-order information and temporal-order information, have many proposed, in order to restore nonstationary signals which are corrupted by additive noise. In this paper, we propose a data-dependent LWOS filter whose coefficients change based on local statistics. LWOS(Linear Combination of Weighted Order Statistics) filters[1]which also utilized two informations, and have properties of efficient impulsive and nonimpulsive noise attenuation and sufficiently details and edges preservation. DD-LWOS filters can remove non-impulsive oises while preserving signal details. DD-LWOS2 filter gets more better performance than DD-LWOS filter when input image corrupted by additive noise which includes Impulsive noise components.

A Passive Ranging Filter with Initial Range Error Compensation (초기 거리오차 보상 피동 거리 추정 필터)

  • To extract relative ranges from LOS(line of sight) information, we propose a passive ranging filter which is suitable for anti-ship missiles in HOJ(home on jam) mode. The proposed filter is devised to cope with the case that a passive ranging filter may include a large initial range estimation error since modem jammers are capable of very long range jamming. In addition, under the assumption that the missile motion is dominant over the HOJ engagement situation, the engagement geometry is modeled by a second order system. A new passive ranging filter is proposed by constructing an extended Kalman filter(EKF) based on the model. And then a least square initial state error estimation algorithm is attached to the EKF. Simulation results show that the proposed filter has a good range estimation performance with small computational load.

  • As the society has developed into a digital information age society, a lot of electronic communication equipments are popularized. However, there are various causes of noise during signal transmission between communication devices. The noise generated in the communication system is a white noise that is distributed evenly in all frequency bands. This white noise causes system errors and lowers reliability. Therefore, in this paper, the existing Gaussian filter, Median filter, Alpha trimmed mean filter, and min/max filter for removing white noise are described and the characteristics and performance of each filter are compared with each other.
