인간 복제시대가 오면 이 세상은 어떻게 될까. 필요에 따라 전투병력이나 노동자를 대량 복제한다면 우리 지구촌은 공상과학소설처럼 새로운 세상이 펼쳐질 것이다. 그래서 미국 클린턴대통령은 인간복제를 5년간 금지하는 법안을 의회에 제출하는가 하면 7백여개의 연구소, 학술기관이 반대하고 있으며 서방 7개국 정상들도 반대하고 나섰다. 앞으로 펼쳐질 인간복제의 문제점과 현황을 살펴본다.

Rapid development of life sciences about human cloning in real world is reflected alternately ahead and behind in the movies and it brings up the conversation topics about the scenario of diverse human life in the near future. This study is the consideration of the characteristic of the human cloning motif in movies, focused on the feature film which consider human cloning a philosophical point of view. The emergence and evolution of somatic cell cloning conclude the problem of philosophical anthropology. And identity and un-naturality of human clone boils down to desire and dilemma of character in . The dramatize to the exclusion of genre's attribution and the setting of twofold relationship between original and clone as well as real mother and daughter prove the critical mind of as stated above. This study also reported it reinforces the characteristic of the human cloning motif in movies that plotting with parallel narrative and the consistent attitudes with various cinematic expression and techniques.

인간의 유전공학과 그 응용기술의 발전은 인공수정, 수정난 냉동판매, 인간복제, 인간과 동물의 유전자 교환 등 인간생명의 존엄성과 관계되는 윤리문제가 계속 제기되고 있다. 지난 11월 10일 "뉴스위크"지에는 '예쁜 모델의 난자를 팝니다'와 '신장을 팔지않고는 살 방법이 없었다'라는 기사가 보도되어 큰 충격을 주고 있다. 97년 복제양 돌리의 탄생은 인간복제도 가능하다는 것을 시사하고 있어 더욱 큰 파장을 예고하고 있다.

최근 영국의 암양 복제 성공 발표에 이미 미국서도 두마리의 원숭이를 복제해 냈다고 발표해 전 세계에 큰 파문을 일으키고 있다.유전자 조작에 따른 포유동물의 복제 성공은 인간복제도 머지않았음을 보여준 것이다. 이에 클린턴은 인간복제 연구에 대한 정부지원을 중단하고 과학자들에게 이 분야 연구를 중단할 것을 당부했으며 우리나라 각 환경ㆍ종교단체도 "복제실험은 인류의 재앙"이라고 규정하고 반대에 나섰다.

The evolution of biotechnology is no longer strange to the hypothetical scenario of cloning human genes to make cloned human beings. The characters of are cloned humans made in the laboratory by the 100-year-old life planning. They are cohabited in a school called Hailsham, where they are secretly reared. The purpose of this project is to provide healthy organs to real human patients with incurable diseases. The main characters Cathy, Tommy, and Ruth experience the growth of body and consciousness here during adolescence, and they also know the secret of identity as a clone. As adults, they move to a second residence, Cottage and are ready to begin organ donation. The second stage is also part of a program to provide more genuine-like organs to real patients. Even though they know all the plans that humans have built, they do not resist them and fatefully accept their situation. However, their non-responsiveness is not a declaration of renunciation of life, but a self-sacrificing life extension for another future that is the extension of life through their organ donation. The film emphasizes the fraternity and sacrificial attitudes of the cloned human beings and shows that it is necessary to continue the discussions on cloned human beings from a bio-ethical point of view supported by philosophical reasons.

This study aims to analyze the film "Never Let Me" by human value which is to be realized in the social structure suppressed by the power of life and the power of discipline in Foucault 's power theory. After 18century having changed monarch power holding the power of life-and-death that enforced corporal punishment, bio-power that corrected body and granted ability suitable discipline to people makes people worked like machine. In control of the bio-power, human achieved safe desire that cure disease and prolong life-span and worked as producer goods. School controls body and make people internalized rule using discipline for working bio-power efficiently. There is differentiation between this movie and the other about human clone. The clones adapt role as organ donator without resistance and there is no conflict between original and copy. Instead of preexistence novel and movie that is set in future, it is a form of past retrospect from the 1970s to 1990s. having emotions, They find independence ego and realize value of life in finite living by depending relation or undergoing loss.

생명공학의 혁명은 1952년 왓슨과 클릭이 DNA이중나선구조를 밝히면서 시작되었다. 78년엔 시험관아기가 영국에서 태어났고 97년엔 복제양 돌리가 태어났으며 올해에는 우리나라에서 복제송아지 영롱이가 탄생했다. 그리고 21세기 초반에 펼쳐질 인간유전자 지도의 완성과 인체용 동물대체장기의 생산으로 또한번의 파란을 예고하고 있다.
